Professor H is the best that I have had at PC by faaaaarrrrrrrr! He explains things in great detail and really cares about his students. Lectures are on point and engaging! Do all that you can to make class and participate!

professor h makes you work for your grade but he is super funny and very easy to talk to if you have any questions. he really wants to see all of us succeed and he goes above and beyond. everyday i come to class he makes me feel energized and i really like that. follow his instructions, do not try toturn in assignments late and you'll love him!

Definitely a must take at PC! 2 essays a group project (which he gives you a lot of time to complete) and three tests. The workbook pages can be time consuming so do not wait until the last minute 2 complete. Hernandez is more than a fair grader and he makes time to meet up with you if you cannot mk office hrs. Signing up for 2 more classes w him!

Everyone loves professor h and we really became a family this semester. i'm gna miss this class and all his funny jokes. Try not to miss class as he does take attendance every day. Follow his instructions and ask him if you have any questions cause he is very easygoing and cute :-) Study the study guides you will meet a lot of people in his class

Hernandez does a great job keeping you engaged the whole entire semester. I'm actually sad that this class has to come to an end.. if I have enough money to pay for my classes next semester I will try to take him again for another class. Prof. H is the best for sure. I took his intercultural communications class this semester and it was pretty much awesome! He is very very very organized and very very very caring. Prof Jonathan Hernandez is the best teacher that I have had here at PC. I am a older student who needs accommodations that others do not need but H really took his time with me. LOVE HIM! SO SWEET & a real gem here at Porterville! I'm an older student who really struggles with writing & he helped me a lot last semester. A LOT. Like I felt bad for asking him so many questions and for help all of the time A LOT. Ha. But he is there for you no matter what & even met up with me in the library to get me through the essays.

Super clear grading criteria and he is accessible outside of class he even gives his number so you can call him if you have any questions over the weekend. I love the way he explains things in class he really won't leave class until everybody is understanding. I wish all my profs. were like him. Follow instructions and don't turn in late work.

This is my 3rd class with H n I would take more but I am graduating in May. He goes above n beyond to help you out and will make time out of class or office hours if you ask him. Seriously the funniest teacher that I have ever had. I tell my husband about class like every day. H gives us a syllabus that literally is the entire semester so you know what to expect. As long as you're not a person who turns in late work (he does not accept even if its a second late) and shows up to class to have fun you will LOVE THIS CLASS!

Professor H, clear with his assignments! Syllabus is easy if you follow through with it, his assignments are not difficult at all. He's very hilarious which will make you ease into the class and you'll forget about "stressing" on your speech in front of the class. Attendance is mandatory but you'll enjoy going to his class, lectures are petty clear

Goes above n beyond for everyone. He's even met me outside of his office hours to go over upcoming projects so I do not mess up. Unlike a bunch of my teachers here H provides feedback and will talk about his feedback with you in person. He wants you to do be successful. Lectures are on point! Really miss this class & the conversations in it. I'm taking Anthropology this semester but find that the material is rather one sided. This class offered all kinds of different ways to think and the conversations were always on point. H comes from a University so he does not take any form of late work. Don't even think about it. I have had a blast in public speaking this semester thanks to h! One of my favorite classes that I took at PC for sure. Professor Hernandez is crazy organized which helped me a lot balancing over 15 units graduating and raising two little boogers on my own. He doesn't accept any late work at all and why should he this is college and you are an adult. He holds his ground and follows guidelines but is super sweet!

I took this class before and did not pass. It's too bad that I didn't take H before. Hez able to make ya feel like family and I didnt have as much anxiety or feel nervous when going up in front of the class to do speech. He gives out his cell number and will extend his office hours just to help you out man. He even offers EC. Respect! Dope class!

Professor H is tough but he is completely fair. Just follow the instructions and you will be fine. Had a blast in this class as we cover a lot of today's hot topics including relationships and sex. Easy to feel comfortable in H's class and I have already signed up for another one of his classes for next semester. He make you feel comfortable and allows you time to get to know others in the class which was great. We really do become a family!

Definitely recommend taking this class with Mister H! I'm a little bit older of a student but I really enjoy how this young man teaches and makes you feel comfortable right from the beginning. Full of energy (which I need), humor, and some real life knowledge where I dont feel that I'm wasting my time. He is there to help. Very impressive!

Speeches are assigned less than the public speaking class, but have a higher standard of delivery as the course progresses in the semester. Don't be late or have a negative attitude. Get personal, and enjoy his speeches. Great teacher.

His approach on the topics at hand make it very easy for any student to understand and apply it to themselves. The work is easy as long as you do it, and the lectures are very entertaining with class participation involved. This was the second course I had with 'H' and I have enjoyed both in different ways.

Does a fantastic job keeping you informed throughout the semester. Unlike may of my instructors here at PC, Hernandez does a stellar job with organization, clarification, and getting your grades back to you at a hard to believe rate. You will never have to wait on seeing your grades, as he is very knowledgeable about Canvas. Great instructor!

Took H for debate last semester and really loved the way he teaches! I am going to try to get him next semester for my last semester at PC. He's funny, caring, knowledgeable, understanding and does a great job of giving you immediate feedback. Great dude, amazing teacher, knows how to get people out of their comfort zones. Very fair grading, very passionate about his work, I would 10/10 recommend him to any student, gets a little carried away with his stories but they always have a lesson, even made me seriously think about double majoring for communication, take him if given the chance!

H is a great professor for Communications and is very inspirational. He gives you everything you need to pass his class the only thing you need to do is prepare your speeches well. Hes a tough grader and explains exactly why you got the grade you did so its easy to improve your score and he gives extra credit opportunities. 10/10 would recommend.

I graduated from PC a year ago and I will say that H is STILL my favorite Professor! Inspiring! I took Intercultural and learned what CRT research is and am still learning it here at CSUB. He's incredibly fair on his grading (don't even think about turning in late work). Just be an adult and follow instructions and get ready to have a lot of fun.

One of the best professors ive had, simple rules, follow them and you pass. Hes helped me so much throughout my studies and in my major, generous great professor took him for as many of my major classes as i could.

When I took his class in the beginning I was so shy and nervous but towards the end I felt more confident thanks to him. He is very funny and the work is easy, as long as you are always in class.

Mr. Hernandez is a professor who deserves to be at the very top. As a person who had severe anxiety issues, Mr. Hernandez made it easy and fun for me to get out of my comfort zone, it might take a couple of tries to start making the speeches he wants, but with effort, this class is easy A. - Believe in him.

I enjoyed his class he was funny you do need to do the work to stay on top he doesn't do late assignments. He has QEs that pop up randomly. He also goes by the schedule set on the first day of class so what you read is what you will do. there are many presentations. oh and music, he plays music. on his computer not an instrument.

Just show up everyday, prepare for your speech, and be on time! Professor is also strict with attendance. There are random writing assignments throughout the semester, but pretty easy. Highly recommend him.

Professor makes the class fun and engaging. Requires regular attendance, but provides helpful feedback to improve presentation skills. Unstuck study was great for study prep alongside the free textbook.
