Great Professor!! He is really passionate about what he teaches and wants students to feel the same way! Excellent professor. However, you cant slack in this class, you do have to do your studying! Powerpoints are really the "textbook", pay attention in class, study, and take good notes on key points that he says and you'll do great! Take him!

He is a wonderful professor. He is energetic, passionate, and fun to have as an instructor. As with any professor, lab exams are a bear, but you will learn in this class. He is, in my opinion, the only one to begin your Human anatomy adventure with. I took him purely off recommendation, and I have yet to regret it. He is wonderful!

Mr. Hopper is the best professor ever!! I didn't do so well on the first 2 tests and still came out with a B in the class. Study the PowerPoints a little bit everyday and go to SI or tutoring and you will do well in the class! Oh his lab you will have a quiz every week but just study the PowerPoints right before class and you will pass.

Mr. Hopper suggests the textbook but his PowerPoints and lectures contain all the info needed to pass his tests. Funny guy with interesting stories to make learning A&P more enjoyable.

Amazing professor. He knows his stuff and is very passionate about it. He makes class entertaining by telling funny life stories which connect to the class topic. His tests aren't hard as long as you are prepared. TIP: Print out slides and take notes on them, since he uses the slides mostly as reference. Also DO THE STUDY GUIDES! THEY HELP!

Great professor! He made the class so interesting with the life stories that fit with the material he was teaching. No need to buy the book, everything you'll need is in the powerpoints. Print and take notes on them! If you do the study guides, pay attention and take notes, tests won't be bad.

Dr. Hopper is amazing! Take him for 1050!!! If you pay attention, print the ppts, highlight and study, I promise you will pass!!! I made an A because I had previous knowledge of some of the things he taught, but if you try you will pass! He cares about what he is teaching and does not give homework! The grades come strictly from tests, so study!

Great teacher. Very funny. Always willing to help and explain further during office hours. As long as you go over the material and clear up any questions you have, you will find the tests easy. Absolutely cannot miss a class!

Awesome teacher. He expects you to know the material in great detail. tests are hard, but I'm so glad I took his lab. He explained things in simple layman's terms and made the material easier. It's possible to get an A but you have to study a LOT. It's easy to predict what will be on the test based on what he spends more time on in class.

I loved Dr. Hopper, he was clearly passionate about the subject matter and made his lectures interesting, he's also a bit of a nerd which was cute. The class is easy as long as you study.

This was my second class taken with him. Once again he gave ppts so you didn't have to buy the book. He does give a study guide. A few essay questions & multiple choice. Actually easy if you pay attention and do the study guide. He told funny stories that related to topics. If you have an issue, go to him. Very helpful & understanding! Take!

Awesome teacher. He's pretty heavy on power points and tends to get off topic sometimes. If you take notes, come to class and do the study guide, there is no reason you shouldn't get a B or higher

Dr. Hopper was a great professor overall. For Human Bio, you do not need the book. He strictly uses slides which he posts online. I am not a science minded person, but I did decent in this course. He has a very fun personality, and I really enjoyed his lectures.

You don't need a textbook for his class since his powerpoints are in detail; and he gives you a study guide. As long as you study there's no reason for you not to get a good grade. Definitely would take him again.

I took Mr. Hopper in fall 2018. I loved his class. Biology is not fun but he made it fun. He talked about more than what we were just learning in class that day. Like fun stuff and when ever he would get side tracked hed just be like its my class I can do what I want EVERYTHING U NEED IS IN THE POWERPOINTS AND HE GIVES U STUDY GUIDES!!

Such a fun guy to be around. His sense of humor made up for the difficulty of the subject. He made the class fun and broke things down and made them way easier to understand. Biology is a tough subject but I never found myself struggling in his class.

His class is a little hard, but as long as you go to class and do the quizzes he gives you and study, it's not that bad.

Mr. Hopper is by far in my top 3 professors at Shelton. Took him for 103 and 201. His lectures are a lot of fun and he tells hilarious stories that help you understand what is going on. You come out of this class knowing something and remembering it. Anatomy is not an easy class do not expect an A. You have to earn it. But he makes it worth it.

A&P I, don't miss class the tests are worded exactly how he goes over the information in the lectures. Fairly easy testing if you pay attention.

Mr. Hopper is an excellent BIO201 teacher! I wish he was teaching BIO202 next semester. His lectures are thorough, easy to follow, and prepare you well for tests. If you put in the work by listening to the lectures and labs (multiple times), take all the lecture and lab quizzes, and consistently study the PPT notes, you can absolutely earn an A!

Just finished 103 online. Such a nice guy, and the lectures were wonderful. He made sure to keep us up to date on what was due when, and had lots of time to do zoom with us every week if we needed help. Who knew online could be so smooth?

mr. hopper was a great bio103 teacher. all of his lectures and study guides prepared you for the tests/exams and if you pay attention to the lecture, take notes, do the study guide (may have to rewatch some lectures) you should have no problem passing with an A. super nice guy too!!

Mr. Hopper is wonderful. At first I had a hard time with his teaching style, but its appreciated. He really wants you to understand the material and not just be able to regurgitate definitions. His lectures are interesting and he loves participation. Dont be afraid to ask questions!

I've had so much fun in this class. We have days where we don't cover much, but just talk about science and neat things that are related to our work that day. This is a class that I look forward to.

Hes a pretty good teacher overall, he gives you everything you need to succeed in the course. If you look over his lectures/ powerpoints youll do fine.

just finished biology 1 online. So simple. You get everything upfront, so just work at your own pace. Any time I had issues i jumped on zoom and they were taken care of. Painless.

I had Anatomy 2 and passed with an A. Mr. Hopper gives you everything you need to pass the exams, its just up to you to study or not. He is very helpful when asking questions and is willing to work with your schedule!

Power points are insightful and intriguing while providing to-the-point information on the subject. Overall I left this class happy with lasting knowledge.

I definitely would take Mr. Hopper for ANY BIO class. I hate that I didnt know about him when I took BIO 103 & BIO 201. His class was a breeze I struggled with BIO 202 spr semester took Mr. Hopper summer class and passed with a B. NO long PowerPoint notes and hes straight to the point. Go to class and just listen your gonna pass!!!!!

I took this lass online. We got powerpoints as he made them, and then videos like a class room after. Only 2-3 chapters on a test, which made it easy to study for. Lab was a breeze online. I had some issues early on and Mr. Hopper met me on zoom to help me. Solid class, would recommend.

Took this class over the summer and passed with an A. Everything you need to pass his exams are in his powerpoints. Dont hesitate to ask questions, if youre trying he will offer extra credit. Make sure youre on time and dont skip class! A&P can be overwhelming just stay on top of the material and youll be fine!

I cannot stress enough how AMAZING of a professor Mr. Hopper is. I took his Biology 103 and Anatomy 1 and passed both with an A. He makes you work for it! He has great lectures and can really break down the material. His YouTube videos are GREAT!! I understood EVERYTHING in his class, was never lost. I would take his class again for sure. 20/10!!!

In my 21 years of life I have never had a teacher so inspiring, I have never had a teacher that made me excited to go to my least favorite subject. This man should be in the professor hall of fame and if you take his class and make any sort of attempt to get to know him I promise you wont regret it and he will reciprocate that effort ten fold.

Loved his bio 1 this semester. Class was really interesting and a I learned a ton, but you've never seen someone get more irritated at people showing up late. Be on time for this one!

for sure one of my favorite teachers. he wants you to do well and cares about you as a person as well. i HATE science and he actually made it interesting. while attendance isnt mandatory, going to class is super helpful. he helps you out and is an amazing person.

One of my favorite teachers. He finds many ways to relate lectures to things we see on a normal basis. He is fair when it comes to submitting assignments. Just come to class, pay attention, and do the work. You will enjoy the class.

Taking A&P2 online right now. Its exactly what I was told. He gives us lectures, study guides, quizzes, and then tests on them. Super easy to study for, this is a smooth trip through A&P2. Just finished my 2nd test, and am enjoying the knowledge!

Professor Hopper was OUTSTANDING. The material is dense, but the way he lectures makes it make sense. I took this class for transfer credit and wish I could take him for Anatomy 2. If you put in the work, he's willing to help you out. ATTEND HIS OPTIONAL ZOOM SESSIONS! Tests are very straightforward and his goal isn't to confuse you.

Mr. Hopper is a good instructor. This class looked so hard in the beginning. You must study for this class. For online, the key is to watch every video available to your class and print the PowerPoints to write your notes on as you watch. It's term heavy, but it wasn't as hard as I'd anticipated. Study hard and you'll pass.

I would definitely take again! He helps with not only teaching his class but also how to study and take notes. If you do the work he will help you. Come to class, and show up on time and you should be fine.

I didn't do particularly well in Mr. Hopper's class. I have some personal issues that were a real problem this semester. Mr. Hopper was so caring. I told him what was happening, and he helped me have every chance to succeed. What a wonderful and understanding person.

I highly recommend Mr. Hopper. his class can be hard, and I did fall behind a bit, but it was worth it. He cares about his students and will help you if you need extra credit. He tells many stories; some are relevant, but some are just fun and interesting. He values class time. He is definitely in my top 5 teachers of all time.

Always come to class on time. Pay attention and rewatch the lectures and labs. Get 100% on all quizzes. He gives random attendance quizzes at the very start of class. He sometimes can have a slick mouth. Nevertheless if I survived so can you.

Hopper is great! Mandatory attendance because he does do pop quizzes, they are easy like 2-3 questions based on the information from the previous lecture or the current lecture. Lab is easy and he's there to help, very hands on with it. PowerPoints are great, he doesn't use/require the book. Don't be late to class!

Mr. Hopper loves science he's cares about the subject and he wants his students to do well. He didn't require you to buy anything unless it would help you. But as long as you do your work and study for the labs and lecture tests you'll do great. He does extra credit but make sure you put in effort.

Mr. Hopper was a wonderful teacher if you learn by experience. Let me explain, he gave us examples about practically everything. From The Calvin Cycle to Mendelian Inheritance, he had a story or a video recommendation to help. I don't know how much he gets paid, but he definitely deserves a raise whatever his salary is.

Professor Hopper is absolutely entertaining. His love for science pours out. During his lectures, he can be a little all over the place at times. Sometimes to the point where you don't know what to write down or skip. He has YouTube videos that are helpful esp. for his labs. Attendance is a must. Participation is a must.

This is going to sound harsh but anyone that is giving him a negative review literally just didn't study, and they're blaming it on him LMFAO. he is an AMAZING professor, i never struggle on his exams because he tells us EXACTLY what will be on it and what to study. He's also very engaging in his lectures. Come to class and ACTUALLY study.

The best biology teacher!!

I took a mini term over the summer for A&P II and I couldn't recommend him more! Because it was a mini term it was very fast paced but if you manage your time well then you will do fine! He posted lecture videos for each chapter and they were very enjoyable (and reviews for the tests!) I really wish I was able to take him again for another class!

Amazing teacher. Exams were reasonable with their questions. As an online student there were no due dates. I would say though that if you are online to go to the labs in person. Doing the labs online makes the work and exam hundreds of times harder. Other than that, his lectures are helpful, but take detailed notes for your own sake.

Mr. Hopper is so incredible. His lectures are hilarious. Best science teacher I've ever had. Can't say enough good about the guy. Super helpful in all things and lays out information plain as day plus bonus information to help you in life.
