Ahhh, just go see for yourself Ladies.....heeheehee. Great fun and great eye candy. Class was insightful and entertaining. I learned a lot and well, went home happy!
Jon was a fun teacher to have. He made LW-220 as fun as it could be. He's a funny guy and likes to joke around. I would recomend him to anyone thinking about taking Lifelong Wellness.
class was easy, teacher was hot, grade was easy to obtain. What more can you ask for at the college level? I recommend this teacher and this course. It teaches you the basics you need for setting your self up with healthier living styles.
I'll admit, he is good looking. Doesn't grade hard. Class is a blow-off class meaning...I think the class is totally unnecessary and should be deleted from the curriculum no matter who teaches it. Just an extra $100 wasted in my opinion.
Good class to take. nice teacher.
Laid Back. A Lot of fun
Hot, Hot, Hot, but class is Dull, Dull, DULL. Delta really knows how to spend your moeny for you on this one!
Great teacher, very laid back, easy. Tells you exactly what's on each test, doesn't require a lot of you. Makes 1 credit class seem like a 1 credit class instead of demanding too much. Funny stories and gets the class involved in story telling!
An extremely easy instructor...and I might say ... HOT! Made going to class worthwhile. All he asks is that you do your best ... and nothing more! Show up, participate and everyone is happy. Tells you what's on the tests .. what more could you ask for .. for a class that is a total waste of money and time!
I had him for Lifelong Wellness Lecture and he was really good. It was only his first semester but he did well..AND might i say when he walked in the room, WOW! he was HOT!!!!!! Take him is you can.
Great teacher. Nice. Highly recommend.
John is a very good teacher. I highly recommend him. Makes the class interesting. Home work is easy hell the whole class is easy just show up.
Jon is a wonderful teacher! Easy to understand and easy to look at too.
Super Hot!!!!! he is also a really good teacher and gives lots of extra credit. great teacher . i recommend him.
Very Very Hot! Hard to pay attention in class! :)
Gods gift to women? Don't bother asking for help with getting your grades in on time cause he will just argue with you and not do it. A real know it all in class, ha ha! good thing cause hes a teacher
SUPER HOT!! A little moody, but what man isn't. It is worth taking the class just to look at him. EYE CANDY!!
McSteamy!!! The only bad part of the class is if HE has to miss class.......you still have to make it up.
Great instuctor and great eye candy as well.
I swear when I sit in his class I can hear church bells.
No matter how boring the subject of the class is, you can stand it when you see him! This guy is hotter than any teacher I have ever seen. I may take another class just to look at him!
contrary to everyone else's opinion, i thought this professor was EXTREMELY harsh when grading his assignments and who cares how a professor looks people, the fact that he graded harsh and tried making up for it with extra credit doesn't make him a good professor. -christine
He is hot, but I agree that he is not the easiest grader in the world. I think he may take himself a little too seriously. It is just a one credit health class and he could be a bit nicer when it comes to being asked questions by students.
Great teacher, I would take him again because he is very helpful and cares about his students. He will even make you a workout plan if you ask.
He is too full of himself. He looks like mighty mouse on steriods with a head as big as mount olympus. His ego interferes with his ability to teach effectively. He said today in class that there are no dumb questions he just makes you feel dumb for asking because he feels like it's a waste of words spoken if you aren't a fitness guru like him.
Many in my class took it because walking for fitness seems like an easy LW credit. Jon's background is as a personal trainer and he teaches the class as such. If you want actually get a workout and make a difference in your body take his class. If you are looking to get a blow off LW credit, don't take his class.
he is a smart teacher, but he is way too cocky. never has anything nice to say about his students, makes his students feel bad about themselves by giving mean remarks if he doesn't like the questions we ask, and cares way more about himself than his students. but the class was pretty easy.
well he obviously knows about physical fitness and all that, but it def. doesn't cover up his arrogance. he has his favorites and makes remarks that can make you feel really stupid. i guess if you're a guy into all that then take it.. other than that, id find someone else
I took weight training with this prof, and it's been worth every dollar I paid! Fun class, keeps you at your own level (never pushes too hard) and hot hot HOT! Taking another class next semester with him and looking forward to it! Recommended to any female (unless you're not really into working out at ALL).
He is awesome
Luv him and the way he gets u off your ass..if you get my drift! This is my second time having him as a professor, and by the way he is is not ignorent nor into himself! If you go to the class thinking your there to slug off..your wrong! He is funny' great guy and cares about your health!
Last semester, I was experiencing some other class related frustrations and I misdirected these frustrations onto Professor Majchrzak-I sincerely appologize and I agree he is a good instructor. Best of luck to you in your life Professor Majchrzak, I hope that you have a great one.:)
He is a Great teacher! Have taken 3 of his classes and will return, he helped me loose 10 pounds I never knew I realy need to loose, and my back pain. He is not stuck on himself, he knows what he is talking about.
Good teacher, nice guy. Gets a little loud. If it's on the board write it down. Make sure you read directions on everything. Easy A
I had him for racquetball. I was the only female in the class but he made me feel welcome and comfortable. I never saw him degrade anyone and I did not think he acted as if he were better than anyone either. Mabye it was an insecurity thing these other guys are whining about. His tests are super easy and fair. Great instructor and great class!
He's a fantastic teacher and hot as well. What more can a girl ask for? I had him for both my LW and LWA classes, he made them fun.
He was very helpful with any questions I had and he was easy to reach after hours. He knows how to motivate you to do well in his classes. Very nice guy and very knowledgable about his classes.
He is really hard to follow dring lectures, he is pretty intense.
Class was a big dissapointment, all he did was NOTHING to help you improve. he was to himself, and having a baby. Don't take him if you want to get something worth the money that you spend.
Don't take, his class was lame and not at all helpful, if you actually want to improve your physical ability he is not the teacher to help you get there. He did not ever have us warm up. I found the class rather dissapointing, and for me a waste of money.
Show up to class and pay attention to the very few 20 minute lectures you will endure and you WILL receive an A. Plenty of extra credit offered as well as make-up slips. We warmed up with a quick run and stretching and got into some serious matches in that class. I will continue to play racquetball for fun. Final is cumulative and essay format.
Jon's an outstanding teacher. Just go to class and do your logs. Lectures are extremely intresting
very good will help if you need it
I am really enjoying his class. I find him very inspiring! He does very well at making the class interesting.. He is one of the better teachers i have ever had. He treats all students equal & seems to genuinely care about each individual student's well-being. Now thats what i call a teacher!!! :)
This is my second class with Jon, he is very inspiring and really cute! explains things extremely well and is always willing to help. i plan on taking him again for another activity class! Highly recommend him!
He encouraged everyone to work at their own fitness level and made the learning material clear.
Jon is an awesome instructor...very inspiring. I really enjoyed his fitness class. He truly cares about his students...always willing to help. Would take him again if I needed another LWA class. Show up for class...easy A.
Physically demanding, made you work. you will be sore after his class. (womens fitness) I enjoyed the class very much. quizzes were explained well. i was sad when the class ended. He is very non judgmental also
Awesome guy! extremely helpful and truly cares about students. Makes you work!!!I have never been so sore in my life, but thats what the class is about. a great guy and I would recommend him to anyone!
Jon was an awesome teacher who truly cares about his students. His class is hard but you get amazing results.
Jon knows his stuff I'll give him that but, his overall people skills are greatly lacking. I feel that in the short amount of time, I really didn't lean anything.
Great guy really passionate about fitness and teaching. I took this class for a fun and easy grade because i used to be really into fitness. Some of his facts about nutrition were not correct according to what i learned in the biology courses.
Jon is great, he tells you what he expects and he works with you to achieve it. He gives you a chance to make up some points which is also good. Nice guy, typical workout buff but knows his stuff. Provides a good workout that anyone can do. I would recommend him.
Great instructor who really wants to help you become healthier. He's awesome at what he does, and will listen to your concerns to help you achieve your goals.
Overall a decent teacher, kinda full of himself but he does know his stuff. I wouldn't take him again
Nice and funny teacher. He explained it well and would include lots of interactivity with the class. When we would go over what will be on a test/final exam, he does not let us take notes. He just shows powrpoint slides with questions we would answer but we could not take notes.
Jon is a great teacher. He expects you to be there, and participate. For this class, we had a short lecture and then went to the gym every class period. He didn't care what you did, as long as it was some sort of physical activity. He's supportive of everyone and wants everyone to be healthy and succeed.
I took Jon for a nutritionexercise class. As long as you attend you should get an A. There is a quiz every week but if you read your material they are pretty easy. He does give option for extra credit but don't miss any exercise classes because if you have to do a make up he makes you work out for 1.50 min which in class is usually 20-60 min.
He's awesome!
He is fair and realistic. His personality and looks are a plus too ;)
Overall he is a good teacher. Talks about his kids a lot. He has timed quizzes and everyday after lecture we went to the gym and worked out for the other hour. He expects you to read the chapters before he goes over them. You really need to read the book to pass. I wouldn't want to take him again though.
Timed quizzes and tests. You have workouts and need to read the unit before you get to class.
Jon is a very good professor, and he knows his stuff very well. I took his blended online and in class segment and he was great. He always reminds you when things are due each class. Easy grader, and very funny. He talks to you like a person instead of a thing, and will use "adult" language every once in a while, which I personally liked haha.
Changed my eating habits, changed my life. Jon is enthusiastic and passionate about wellness and it comes through in his lectures. He is funny and well versed. Read the materials prior to class and you will have no problem. Tests are easy and extra credit happens every class. I took the blended On-Line and In Class course.
I would recommend him for ANY class. He keeps you interested in lecture. Go to workouts its not hard, if you miss you have to makeup way longer then u would have in class. Small quizzes after eachclass don't miss them and you will do good. Only did a few group workouts you just go in fitness room and do what you want. never makes you uncomfortable
Jon is a great guy. Very funny and can easily keep you interested. Highly recommend. Cares about all of his students and cares to hear about their lives. I would definitely take him again.
Amazing and very passionate about getting across the information that he knows to be true to his students. He will answer any question first by challenging you to think about it and then give you the facts about it. Easy to understand and range stuff away from his classes. Very approachable. You will not regret taking his class!
This professor what his students to learn and be better. He is an awesome person and great teacher. If you show up and do what he assigns. You will have no problem passing this class.
He has lots of passion for fitness, he's very knowledgeable and breaks things down into a way people who are new to fitness will understand. Lets you know why things in your body happen the way they do. He's got a bit of an ego but that one flaw is easy to look past. If you really want to learn how to get in shape, take one of his classes.
He is a great teacher that is very enthusiastic about what he does. He is very clear on what he expects and the quizzes and tests are right from the material we go over in class. I would recommend him to anyone.
Excellent speaker. Made the class WAY more entertaining than it had any right being. Has to take this class for nursing clinicals. It was the same information week after week and could have been a real snooze. Jon is engaging, funny and animated. I HIGHLY recommend that you do your 1 hour of exercise per week or you will not pass.
Out of all the classes I have taken, this class is the only one that kept my interest, changed things in my life, and learned the most from. Jon is an amazing professor, he is passionate about his job and teaching. Read the material go to class and listen and you will pass. Wish he taught more of my classes that I need. Exceptional professor!
Jon was a great teacher. He is passionate about what he teaches and you can tell. Homework was easy. Quizzes every week and four writing assignments. One big project of tracking your diet and analyzing it for a paper. Answered emails quickly.
I took this class in the spring so it was twice a week for 8 weeks. We started in the classroom for lecture and then went to the fitness center each day for a workout. Everyone worked at their own pace. It was a great experience and I learned some helpful tips about health and exercise. I would absolutely recommend this class to everyone.
I took Lifelong Wellness online and it was a great class. You do learn a lot about yourself and how you can improve your daily lifestyle. Professor Majchrzak was very quick to reply to emails (even on weekends which he warns he is late on weekend emails). Syllabus is very informational. Quizzes were short and textbook was very easy to read (+cheap)
Took the lifelong wellness class online with him. The textbook seemed outdated because some of the information that was suppose to be in the textbook wasn't there. Be prepared for a lot of work and writing to pass the class. Wasn't that quick as responding to emails and didn't really give me the answers I needed.
I took nutrition with Jon. He's a very nice and genuinely cares about his students. His classes usually consisted of lecture that lasted 1 hour max and then we went to the fitness center for anywhere from 30 minutes-1 hour. I read the textbook each week and that helped a lot. All of the quizzes/tests (including the final) was online.
Great teacher! Most time in class is spent in the fitness center. He doesnt have a set workout regimen for students to follow. He allows you to do what you want, however, he is in the gym with you so if you want him to give you suggestions, he does. All class work is done online, nothing too difficult. Quizzes weekly and 4 assignments.
One of my favorite professors! He really cares about his job! Very intelligent when it comes to health and fitness!
He would interrupt students after asking a question out loud. He never responded to my emails. The class was easy but he was very dramatic at times. The tests, quizzes, hw, discussion boards and papers were all very easy and interesting. He let you do basically whatever you wanted in the fitness center and you were allowed to bring headphones.
I would 100% recommend Jon for any Lifelong wellness class at Delta College. I took both an online and an in person class through him and loved both. He makes the material interesting and is passionate about what he teaches. All his classes are also super easy to pass.
He is passionate about teaching but much of his lectures were spent discussing himself. Friendly yet arrogant. If you have questions make sure you ask them in class! He warns you from the beginning he will take at least 48-72 hours to respond to emails but he never responded to numerous emails from myself and several classmates.
80% of the daily attendance grade was based off of working out in the gym. Gave lots of extra credit and test reviews. You need to actively participate because he's a very active professor. All tests/assignments were due online in elearning. Fairly easy class if you turned in the assignments. He was an easy grader as well.
John is a really great professor and truly does care about his students success. One nice thing about his class is that you dont have to be an exercise enthusiast to pass. You simply just have to show up and do what youre told, put in the work, and you will succeed. Also, although he can be lecture heavy, his lectures can be very entertaining!
He does not do much work at all. You are taught but Cengage (book online) with quizzes and assignments which automatically grade themselves. the assignments that do require grading, he takes forever to grade.
During this course only one video. Felt like this course was self taught. Although I truly enjoyed the topic, the only time I heard anything was on the exercise log. Yes I did learn, however I can not give credit to this instructor. Very slow to respond to emails.
John was a fantastic instructor. I recommend anybody to take his class if you have the option to. Answered all my questions promptly and gave many examples, and tests and quizzes were not timed.
Professor Majchrzak was awesome. His lectures were interesting, and you can tell he is passionate about health. There were 1-2 quizzes weekly, and 4 tests throughout the semester. Make sure to read the book for the quizzes! The homework was a weekly report of the exercises you completed. I would 100% take again!
Majchrzak was passionate about what he does, but there is definitely a level of arrogance and condescension. I also didn't get a lot of responses from him from my emails. I didn't feel like he was truly utilizing a "student-centered" approach to his work.
I'm an all A student. This teacher was one of the worst I've had yet. His test are unclear. His test are his summarized version of the book. Some of his answers don't match the book like he claims. The test and quizzes are multiple choice that all have simular answers. I don't recommend his class. He should focus on students not his workouts.
If you stay on top of work and read the chapters assigned each week you will have no problem. You have to submit a weekly workout log that can get long in the actual assignment behind it but totally manageable. I would most definitely take another course with him. He doesn't grade hard as long as you put the effort into the work and he can see that
The only thing I did not like about this class was the weekly extensive workout logs. I don't know if the criteria is a Delta policy or professor policy, but they are way too long. You're just repeating yourself a million times in different ways to try to hit the sentence requirements. Very time consuming, but other than that, the class was fine.
Jon was a pretty good professor. Advice to anyone taking the class in the future, spending an hour watching the video lectures won't be as helpful as reading the book. In the beginning I planned to take notes on all the lectures but as time went on, they weren't helping on quizzes. Questions on quizzes are identical to info in the book so read!
Terrible. I would recommend looking for a different professor for LW220. You'll be doing yourself a favor. Focuses on the workouts more than the students. Expects way too much with weekly workout logs that's assigned like all the students are in the Health and Fitness program, no. Majority are required to take LW and have other classes and work.
Not a great professor, not a bad one either. Assignments were few & clear, weekly quizzes were simple. I hardly used the book. Exercise logs are time-consuming and repetitive, but truly aren't difficult once you get the hang of it. I recommend taking the accelerated course as I did if you are looking to get it done and over with.
LLW is not a hard class but the class in itself was made extremely hard. Can be up to 4 quizzes a week with an Exam so be sure to read the book and make your own study guide! Don't count on lectures as they are extremely brief you won't gain a lot watching them. Strenuous workouts each week.
Honestly, easiest class I've ever taken. Granted it was online. Gotten good grades on everyrthing with minimal effort, never had to email him, never had to ask questions. If you need to take this class, take it online.
He was by far my favorite professor, he is very understanding as well as the course is fairly easy. I took notes and those helped me a lot with comprehending everything. If you follow the rubrics he gives you and make sure everything on there is also in your paper you will get a high score in return.
I got an F on a diet analysis (which is worth a lot of points) but the feedback said it was overall well done. I emailed him about it and he said he would look into it but never did. I emailed him again to check in on it but then never got a response after that. End of semester and got an F for my work that was “overall well done”.
I have a disability and he did not handle it well. He told me to do more than my body and doctor would allow. He will not respond to you emails for over a week. I had to make up the first week's exercise logs due to my disability and he made this very challenging, both in his response time and not updating my grades until after the class finished.
He can be very loud and have a lot of energy. He is a pretty funny guy.
Great professor, always left motivational and helpful feedback on assignments. The amount of work in the 7 week class is very fair for being 1 credit. He grades fairly as long as you meet all requirements. I recommend taking him for this required course.
