Breathe. Gives excellent feedback, starts and ends the class with meditation, and you will learn so many interesting topics from other student's speeches. One of the chillest professors I have taken and is very open minded.

He is a pretty chill professor. You will learn how to deliver speeches and you will love the class. Loved the class. Just try to learn your speeches and give him an outline of the speech and you'll be fine. If you want good grades and you need to take speech, take him.

Best Professor Ever

He's the best professor in CCNY and actually makes the speech class less intimidating. Of course, that doesn't mean you don't learn but you ACTUALLY learn how to talk in public without the fear of your speech messing up your grades. He gives you second chances if you mess up your speech and wants you to overcome your fear of talking in public.

He is an amazing professor. I suffer from anxiety and public speaking is one of my greatest fear. He makes you feel comfortable, gives great feedback, and he makes the class fun. There's also this cute thing he does where at the beginning and the end of class he makes you close your eyes and relax all your muscles and mind. It's nice.

Take him. Great professor, really makes you feel comfortable in the class so you're not afraid of speaking up. Grading is mainly based on the three major speeches, and he gives great feedback so you will most definitely improve over time if you take his advice.

One of the best professors at CCNY hands down. Textbook wasn't required for the class and grading was primarily based on the 3 speeches given throughout the semester. We were allowed 4 absences which was very generous and came in handy. The first and last 5-10 minutes of class are used for meditation which was very relaxing. Great professor!

This class is super easy and fun. Maldonado makes you feel comfortable standing in front o the class and his criticism (if any) is always constructive. Professor Maldonado is truly inspiring. If you google his name you can see some clips he acted in. He makes the class feel like it isn't class and is very chill about everything. You are graded on the speeches you give so make sure to do them well. One tip I would give is to actually use the outline professor gives it makes it much much easier.

This was one of the best class i've had in ccny. The prof is very chill and lets us be creative with our own work. If you put in that work and you showed that you cared for the assignment, then this will be a solid fun class to boost up your GPA.

One of the best professors ever and an easy A. All you have to do is a presentation and present it. It didn't even matter if it was good. As long as you do it, you would get an A. You have three presentations, about any topic you wanted (literally anything), and rarely got homework.
