For the most part, a great professor! He needs to be more clear about Homework. Make sure you PAY ATTENTION to when he assigns it. He is pretty good at answering questions but because this is a hard Subject (Financial Accounting), you will probably need tutoring anyway. Not the best at answering emails either.

Great teacher, super laid back and cool. Just come to class everyday, do all homework, study for the quizzes and you will pass. Financial accounting isn't easy at all no matter what teacher you have.

MR. (DR?) Pernick is a good all around guy. Would/will take a class with him again in a heartbeat. He has lived a very interesting life and does his best to relate the subject in the class to each students out of school activities.

Awesome prof! He wuz willing to help any time i went 2 his office even during non office hours. Did well in the course. It takes lots of work. i had 2 do all homework. used the tutors to support profs help.

All these reviews are stupid. Yes he does mention that there is a high withdraw rate for the class, but he means for the whole department. It's more of a warning to try your best in the class and not give up. Very educated and fun. Class is very easy going and he stays on topic. He gives you every resource you could possibly want. I took him for financial and I am currently in managerial. All around both subjects are difficult, so in order to pass you have to put in the work. Prof Pernick is a good guy who genuinely wants to help the students. He uses real world examples in his lectures that make accounting easier/interesting to learn about. I would highly recommend him!

I really enjoyed his teaching style and he know the material. Almost every class we did practice problems which helped alot. Also, his quizzes helped me tremendously. Son't b afraid to ask questions or meet with him. He wants all of us to succeed. Taking this course with him is your best choice.

He's good. His teaching style incorporates lots of lecture which is well needed for this class. He is very good with E-Mails and replys on time. HW assignments are listed and a must do in order to understand the material. Lowest Test and Quiz are dropped with a project that really helps you out as well. He wants you to succeed so ASK LOTS OF QUES!

Great professor. Was iffy on taking him until I realized how great his grading system is. Lowest HW, quiz, and test grade are dropped. Not to mention the hefty, but great extra credit project which will bring you up a MAX of 5 whole points for your final grade. Must keep up with the material, but hard work will pay off!

It's not one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. You need to keep up with everyting. It not like memorizing for history final. U mst keep up with everything. If you have a teach like John that truly cares for your success. Review at least 20 min a day and you should be fine.

He provides so much material to support us in this course. There is so much negative about financial accounting bcuz material is hard. after finished the it it is very useful for biz students. He gives great resources to help his students understand each chap & do well on exams/quizzes. Use his practice questions. Oh, beginning of course is imp!

this class takes lot of time to adapt to. Requires reading the textbook throughly and understanding concepts. He provides TONs of resources and use all of them!!! It was a pleasure having him as a prof! oh he is also a very, very fair grader. Take this guy he was worth the drive from palm beach gardens during rush hour

I loved Professor Pernick. He is amazing not only does he make accounting fun and interesting but he is caring and understanding. Goes out of his way to make time for students and finds a way to make it easy going. You have to put your own effort to study and learn the material but he makes it doable. Would deff take again !!!

he is very valuable and can give you a solid foundation for learning what it takes to be successful in a business environment. don't approach this course just wanting to pass but in hopes that the rigor and value of this course will make you a well-rounded business person. Ya gotta work hard in accounting. No easy way out of course.

i really appreciate his teaching style and enjoyed his classes. Prof Pernik wants us to understand. He gives tons of material to learn from. I don't think u can use all of it. I didn't. i chose what i found most helpful and used it. I am taking him next semester. most of all he is polite, funny, very experienced. Also, he brought chocolate for us.

Knows how to break down the material and make it understandable, gives great exam/quiz reviews. if you have a question(s) he will give examples to help you understand and will make sure you understand before moving on. Will help you after class. Do the homework which is really helpful and will help in exams as well. Great personality & professor.

most helpful professor i have ever had. he does everything he possibly can to get everyone to pass and is available almost any time you need him for help (he even says 3am sometimes). he drops one test, one quiz and one homework. show him you care and you will do even better in the class.

Pernick is a great professor, very understandable teaching style for such a hard subject. Always go and stay in class, some of the test are based off of what he says. Lots of homework but it does help you in understanding more.

Financial Accounting is a difficult course, and he does his best to help students grasp the material. But make sure u dedicate time for stuDYING, because theres A LOT of homework(so try to do it early!!!) and there's a quiz almost once a week. The tests are a bit brutal so make sure to read the chapters and do the practice exams/quizzes. GOOD LUCK!

This professor held reivews for exams on saturday mornings. what prof does that that doesn't care about his students. don'e know what they're saying since his blackboard site had averages created for us. He made exam practice questions. many were on the exam. use his materials posted to study. go to the slc and use his office hours. You'll do fine

so happy I took this class wih him. I took professor pernick's class in fall and transferred to a university in spring and I'm so happy I took it with him instead of at my university. find a group to study with, go to tutoring and do all the homework. he drops your lowest test grade and will do anything to help you understand the material.

Professor Pernick is very knowledgeable about accounting. Always willing to help his students if they don't understand certain aspects of the learning material. Does give a lot of homework, but with accounting, it is needed. Pay attention to the supplemental work sheets he gives out in class or on BB. This will help you for the exam.

Prof Pernick was the best Professor I have ever taken. If you live away from Boca campus, worth the commute. He offers help and actually cares about his students. He is hilarious and makes accounting fun, very good at helping us prepare for the real world. Tests are strait foward BUT show up to class because it is accounting in the 1st place.

I enjoyed taking his class. We have quizzes every time we meet in class but he's the best professor to have for accounting.

Prof. Pernick is great. He was so great I took his class for acg2022 and acg2071. Yes is not an easy class, but if you put the time and effort you will pass with an A. He truly cares about his students he goes out of his way to make time for the students, handouts are very helpful. I strongly recommend him to all students.

This guy is great. He cares about his students and wants them to learn. He gives special handouts every class so that we don't have to spend money on the online supplement that costs way too much money. He holds exam reveiws on Saturdays!!! His grades are all in blackboard. I contacted him on skpye late at night and he helped me with hw! Take him!

Financial accounting is a hard class, however, professor Pernick makes it manageable. He is clear about expectations and objectives at the beginning of the course. He is a great professor and knowledgeable about the subject. Be prepared to put in the time in order to pass. This class has a 40% drop/failure rate; you've been warned! PS. Study a lot!

This is a rough class. With this profs help I made it through. I used all his handouts and practice quesstions he puts on black board. at first i didn't do hw and learned by failing the first exam. I didn't want this. I kept up with material and pulled out an A in the course. Stick with this difficult course. find friends in class for support.

I liked the class and the teacher. I was a full time high schools student, working, and taking dual enrollment classes. I didnt even open my book. All you have to do is homework, so you can have more practice, and the only reason I got a B, was that I would just forget to turn in the assignments to the blackboard. If I could do it, then you can.

Great professor! Took him for both Financial and Managerial Accounting, very straightforward and tells you everything you need to know in class. No need to buy the book, just go to class and you'll pass. Very nice guy, wish I could take him again

Very knowledgeable, best professor ever!! Financial has a 50% average drop rate, but Prof Pernick explains it in such a way that he makes it very easy to understand. However, you NEED TO DO YOUR HOMEWORK and practice as much as possible. Many times test questions are the same as homework. Gives lots of extra credit in tests and HW. Take his class!

The way Professor Pernick teaches is what help you understand this class; he gave you examples and exercises.

THE BEST TEACHER YOU WILL EVER TAKE! He basically created his own simple coursework for this class, and will teach you so well, with real life examples to help you understand the hard material, its accounting! He is always willing to help you; extra study sessions, Skype sessions. Just a great human and teacher. I wish he taught all my classes!

Prof Pernick really cares about preparing you for a higher level of education. If you want to learn take his class! Accounting is difficult but he is a real professor, so if you put in an effort and practice you can easily pass with an A or B. Wish he taught more classes.

I took this profess for Financial and Managerial Accounting, and thanks to him I learned a lot. He hands out supplement work sheets every class meeting that are based on the chapter, these help a lot with exams. He also create course material for each chapter along with non-mandatory homework that you should do! You just have to work for your grade

Prof Pernick is a great professor ! He does his part by giving out packets related to the chapter & providing practice online on BB . If you do the work & actually study , you will pass the class ! Prof Pernick cares about you actually learning the material & is always available outside of class ! Taking him again for manegerial !

Where to begin.. Prof Pernick is the best educator at PBSC. He gives amazing lectures, makes it easy to understand such a difficult content by using different colors, drawings etc. You do need to practice though, because accounting is just hard. He gives extra credit points in tests and HW. I got an A but did my part too. Do not miss any lectures!

Best Prof ever!!! Take him for all your accounting classes if you really want to learn. Do not skip class, each lecture is needed for the next. He'll give you extra credits on all test. Do yourself a favor: Practice as much as you can using homework exercises, you'll find them in most test and exams.

Great professor! You will have to pay attention in his lectures, read the chapters, and do the homework, which is not for credit, nor is it turned in but for your own good. He makes worksheets to help you and reviews the topics over and over again before he tests. Not an easy A, but his class is interesting and engaging! Take him.

He is a great professor who works with people who do the work. This is not a difficult class to understand the content. I believe Professor Pernick was a good professor. The course itself was somewhat difficult and Professor Pernick did assign a decent amount of homework, however, if you watch the short lectures and do the homework, the tests weren't too difficult. Lots of quizzes and exams with lockdown browser. Overall, not a terrible course or professor.

Take this class in person!! Hard class and has a lot of material to cover but he's a good professor and tells you what to study for the exams. He posts lecture videos and practice exam questions for each chapter. There are 4 exams and the final. Be prepared to dedicate a lot of time to this class.

He is an amazing professor. Check the modules to study before taking tests and quizzes. He is hard on you in the beginning but he does care for his students, your learning and overall success.

Signed up for a 1 day a week class, had to work study a good amount but it was fine. This is a hard class anywhere you go. Also if you do practice tests and study the lectures, the questions on the test will look familiar.

I've read the reviews for this professor. I picked him this semester because it was the only in person option. This class is hard! So here's how to pass this class read each chapter, write the definitions on your cheat sheet, as well as the questions on the practice test. Study and you will pass. He cares about his students and wants you to pass.

Dont get me wrong, this class is extremely difficult but Pernick offers many resources for help. He was a great professor, but you have to put in the work in order to get a good grade. As long as you communicate with him he will help you.

I haven't completed my course yet but I HAVE to come & rate Professor Pernick. This is my 3rd time taking ACG2022 & now I have a B with 2 weeks left for class. He understands this is a new language for a lot of us. He is very knowledgeable & he truly cares if we pass. He gives detailed instruction on what material is extremely important to pass.

Great teacher, exams are easy if you lock in and study

Professor Pernik has a different teaching style, but he is very caring, and his grading criteria are easy to follow and understand. He has office hours available outside of class if you need extra help, and allows for a cheat sheet during exams. If you pay attention in class, do your homework, and take the practice quizzes, you'll be ok

Pernick will help you out so long as you are helping yourself out too. There will be a quiz or exam every week, but he drops the lowest quiz, exam, and homework grade at the end of the semester with some added extra credit to your full grade. You will need to study if you'd like to pass the exams as they're locked down with a required side camera.

Prof Pernick has to be one of the best professors PBSC has. He is extremely educated & passionate in this subject, and tries his best to make sure everybody understands. There's lots of homework & tests with lockdown, but there's plenty of time to complete everything. You have to put in the work, but I came out knowing a lot I didn't know before.
