One of the best teachers I have ever had, but saying that, his test are outragesouly hard. There is so much material, and the final is comprehensive

Dr. Roberts is a great professor who really cares about his students. He is also very interesting to listen to in class and definately not bad to look at for an hour!!

Whip smart, HOT!!! and awesomely funny. If only he could clone himself....

Great Teacher. Funny. SO MUCH INFORMATION. Interesting but you need to spend soooo many hours outside of class studying. Study everyday I would recommend. Tests are extremely hard.

Great teacher. I really enjoyed this class and would recommend it to anyone. He gives you the study guide for the entire course on the first day of class; so you know what to study for. The class is fun, and he gives you extra credit opportunities. Take him!

Study, study, study and use your brain. You will never know what to expect on a test.

Dr. Roberts is a wonderful teacher, he is funny and smart and I would recommend his class to everyone. This is the only class I have taken at AASU where participation is appreciated and asked for, really enjoyable. Study and you will do well.

He knows his material, teaches effectively, and can be a little bit of a goofball, but the class is very enjoyable. He's a cool dude :-)

This was the first class I actually wanted to go to!

Challenges students, and a good amount of homework. Great teacher and easy to get in touch with.

He's very funny and witty. Hard, but will help you. It's not a class that you can get by without studying in, but it's ok. And he's hot, so that's always a plus...

Good teacher and really interesting class....tests are challenging but cover exactly what he goes over in class.

I had a hard time in this class. It was a lot of info. but he gives you test questions ahead of time and always there to help.

He thinks he is a comedian. good teacher if you are not interested in knowing more than just what is in the book. If you ask a question that goes beyond what is in the book, he says "that would be a good topic for a research paper." in other words "Duh, which way did he go George?'

He made this class fun and is helpful. Posts outlines and review questions online which will help cover the notes for the day. His tests were really challenging, even when you do study (mostly covers notes from class, but you MUST read the book if you expect to get anything higher than a B). Great guy and good class if you have an interest in psyc.

Not easy...you have to study and attend class daily. Tests are based solely on class notes. Hes an awesome teacher! Very straight foward and easy to understand. Funny!!!

Great professor. Will absolutely refuse to baby you! Tests are challenging, but materials and explanations are clear. Humorous, but some might be turned off by his sarcasm. Been accused of having a "God complex". An absolute genius, might be intimidating, but he's very nice! Big time "Star Wars" fan and is a drag racer.

Dr Roberts is wonderful. His tests are straight from his notes. He let's you know in advance that if you don't attend class, you will suffer. He gives review questions that exactly make up his tests, so it is easy to get a good grade. He requires that you KNOW the information and that it's not just memorization. I would def take another class w/him

He is very interesting and is easy to learn from if you pay attention. His tests are 98% from his notes, never used the book. He tells u at the very beginning how important attendance is because of ur class notes. Funny and laid back in class but serious about your learning. Would take another class from him!

He has a web site that you get the questions to study from but the tests are worded funny. The final is cumulative and it is a doozey! Anything goes on the final. Fun class and he has enjoyable life stories.

Dr. Roberts is a great teacher. I took his class in the summer in four weeks and it was very interesting. He posts study questions and outlines online. He also posts grades the day of the exam. His tests are strictly from his notes so don't buy the book, he never uses it. He also has a good sense of humor. I would take him again.

An amazing professor. As long as you come to class everyday, you WILL understand the material and will never forget it. Exams weren't super hard but also weren't super easy; everything comes straight from the notes. Do not buy the textbook because it was never even mentioned, much less used.

Dr. Roberts is a great teacher, he makes psychology very interesting and brings real life situations in to examples to aid with remembering. Great Class. Also he's got a great physique.

This class is HARD!!! You can not mess around and expect to do well. Class attendance is a must! Recording the class is very helpful.. Take him, if you like a challenge.

I took him over the summer for PSYC 1101H and got an A. It definitely wasn't an "easy A" but he is probably the best teacher I've ever had. He made complex concepts seem simple and his analogies and personal experience stories made the class fun and unforgettable!! He is VERY nice to look at and I plan to take him next summer for PSYC 2950.

...BY THE WAY, he posts online study guides with questions for every chapter and those questions are in multiple choice form on the tests and cumulative final exam! His tests are not easy but not hard either if you study...but the final is TOUGH--study and you have no reason to get lower than a B!!

took his honors class. Would definitely recommend it to any honors student. has study guides- tests are straight from them. you also have to do a film and psychology project where you either present a powerpoint or create your own film which takes some time but is also fun to do. Great class. Good professor. Take it!

Dr. Roberts has made this one of my favorite classes that I have taken. He presents the material well and very thouroughly and makes the class very interesting. He also is willing to help students with anything that they don't understand. I really wish I needed another Psyc class just so I could take him again! Just AWESOME!

He is very helpful and can make class fun... he talks very fast but does repeat the important things. If your a good note taker then you'll do great. Test are fair and come straight from your notes

Anyone who says this professor is horrible is an idiot. He is so much fun, and relates it to everyday life. Have to go to class, must take notes. Study your butt off. He's nice to look at also.

He was my favorite teacher in college thus far. I took him for Honors intro to psychology. He uses great examples. He is also extremely funny. All you do is come to class, study your notes a little bit, take the test right from it. Great great class and professor.

Dr. Roberts was a great professor. You take the tests straight from your notes so attendance is important. Gives lots of examples which helps in relating material to everyday life and also helps you remember it better. He also provides a study guide. Highly recommended!

he is one the best professors i have ever had. i honestly almost reconsidered changing my major to psychology :) all you have to do is take great notes and study the review sheet in advance and you will do wonderful! i highly recommend. he is challenging but interesting.

great professor if you have a tape recorder USE IT!his exams come from lectures/notes we never even used the book highly recommend for anyone INTERESTED in psychology

Ive taken two classes with Dr. Roberts and both have been enjoyable. Hs funny, fair, and intelligent. His exams are tough though and much of it comes from his lectures. Textbooks seemed irrelevant. I want to teach college and I wouldnt mind being a professor like him.

Dr. Roberts is a great professor. His class is not easy but its really interesting and he is very fair. His final is killer though so make sure you start studying a couple of weeks beforehand. I'd like to be a professor someday and I wouldn't mind being like him.

Dr.Roberts class is definitely an easy A if you study and do the review questions a week or two prior to the test. He answers questions and repeats things so that you will understand ! I have had him three times. great professor.

Best professor at AASU. I am minoring in psych because of him. He class in very fun and interesting. He tells hilarious stories about his family but they pertain to psych. Take notes and answer all the review questions and you will ace every test. Gives you the option to make attendance mandatory or not. Take him!

Dr. Roberts is a great professor. His classes are usually 75 minutes long, and he understands that this is a long time, so he uses humor to make class feel shorter. The class is lecture-based with some group projects, quizzes, and exams. None of it is too difficult, and you'll do fine as long as you study the comprehensive final exam review!

Best professor at this school. He is hilarious and still gets the message across so that I can remember it. The review questions are VERY similar to test questions. Gets grades back the same day. He uses examples from his family and has really funny stories. Not a hard class, especially with the reviews. Cumulative final. Don't buy the textbook.

Dr. Roberts is Awesome! He is absolutely hilarious & is always sharing real life/family examples of the material to help it really stick. He uses PPT & sometimes videos & pictures but the most important material is what he covers in class. It is important to attend & take thorough notes b/c sometimes he moves a little fast. I loved him & his class

Dr. Roberts is a fantastic teacher and he really knows the material he covers. His tests are straight from the lecture and his lecture follows a powerpoint outline that really helps with note organization. If you know how to take notes and you answer the review questions about a week in advance you shouldn't have any problem with the tests.

Everything he says in lecture will be on the exams so take good notes and don't bother bringing your textbook.

Dr. Roberts is hilarious and really keeps you engaged in his lectures. We had to do group debates, which weren't my favorite, but all in all they were pretty interesting.

Class was easy. Come to class & take good notes and you're sure to pass. Lectures are interesting & he keeps you laughing.

My favorite class at ASU so far. I wish I could take Dr. Roberts for the rest of my classes. He structures his classes so that you clearly know how to succeed. Class is very interesting. Tests were straight from study guides. One website project, but he gives you great feedback on your draft before the due date. Highly recommend any of his classes.

Great class! His lectures run right down the study guide questions he gives at the beginning of the semester. He makes his lectures interesting, so it is easy to pay attention. He is straight forward and has very clear grading criteria. You WILL have to study a lot of information, but it is well worth it!

Dr. Roberts is a really good professor. He loves what he does and keeps his lectures interesting. He gave 3 exams, one project (either group or complete a website), and a cumulative final. He's super funny and very engaging. Awesome professor who I am taking again!

I really enjoyed Dr. Roberts's Intro to Psych class. He provides personal stories and examples to help add context to the notes. He is very lecture heavy, but it is never a boring lecture. Dr. Roberts loves to tell jokes in class adding to the fun yet productive atmosphere. I would definitely take his class again.

Liked this professor a lot. Used great examples and made sure that everyone understood the material.

This was a new FYE class and there were definitely some road bumps along the way. The assignments were 22 SMALL essays, a final presentation, and volunteer hours at the Boys & Girls club. Since this class wasn't content heavy I can't easily grade his teaching style but he is very kind, which will likely show in his other classes as well!

Dr. Roberts is an amazing FYE Professor. He made the class entertaining and was always willing to answer any questions you may have. In addition, he gave plenty of opportunities for extra credit. If you want to pass, all you have to do is show up and complete the assignments.

Very easy to follow lectures. A few exams and a paper and a presentation (on a topic of your choice from a book you choose from a given list) -- the usual stuff. I most appreciate him for working with me through my depression when I was going through a really hard time, and I am thankful to him for being such an understanding person.

He is a super laid back, nice & funny prof. His lectures are really easy to follow, but you will struggle if you dont come to class as thats the only way to get material. His lectures are not boring at all! Offers a test review that accurately represents each test. Keep up w/ the reviews because it will be your study guide for cumulative final.

This professor is exactly what I was looking for when I returned to college. Might not be for you though. Material is in-depth, and grades are almost exclusively tests. That worked for my busy life, but maybe not if you're anxiety prone. Gives awesome advice, tons of fun, very approachable. Honestly, the best I've encountered so far. Thankyou, JP

Great professor, tests are hard!

This class was easily one of the most challenging ones I've taken. However, his way of teaching and approaching his role as a mentor to students made it infinitely less stressful. Despite the tricky material, I earned an A+ and I really couldn't have done it without his help. The exams are heavy, but if you can take him, DO IT!

Professor Roberts is an amazing professor. He was really funny, caring, and respectful of all of his students. His CORE class is very easy, all of his assignments are online, and attendance is not mandatory. He asks what we want to learn so we aren't sitting in class learning about something we don't want to. Very welcoming and would take again.

Professor Roberts was amazing! I am a psychology minor and took his CORE class. Now, I look for his name every time I register for psyc classes. He was very laid back and also asked what we wanted to learn about and included everyone in discussions. Could not recommend more.
