Professor Saxon is an awesome instructor who clearly loves what he teaches. He's very enthusiastic which made the three hours pass as quickly as they could. This course was a short-term class and was like his other courses, although a couple of weeks had two quizzes instead of just one. This was the second course I've taken from him, and I highly suggest anyone that struggles with US History but must take it for GE requirements to take his courses. You will thank yourself!

This is my favorite course out of all his courses, but it's my personal preference because I enjoy Latin America. The course was very enjoyable, and I learned a lot. I consider all his courses convenient to the point where I kept saying, "Best for last." Enjoyed the videos.

At this point, I've been taking his courses as electives because I enjoy the convenience so much. It's funny because U.S. History has always been exhausting to me, to the point where I avoid it at all costs. But this course focused on the interesting bits and gave me a better understanding.

This course was also not difficult at all, and I learned a lot. I advise you to take any courses you can of his and to answer all questions in his study guides, as it will give you the knowledge you need for the quizzes. You won't stress! I wish I could keep taking more of his courses, but I no longer have room in my plan. Take as many as you can!

This is one of the best professors I have ever had. There isn't really that much only a quiz each week that is about 10 questions and a few discussions, but both are really simple to do. He is always very understanding. I had once missed a quiz by accident, and I emailed him about it and reopened it for me. Overall, a really great professor!!

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! This course was extremely doable and well organized. I was able to truly understand the material and actually enjoyed learning about the topics each week. Each week included a couple of very short videos, a couple of pages of reading, and a 10 question multiple choice quiz. No fina or discussions! Highly recommend!

I enjoyed taking HIST115 with Prof Saxon. One of the things I appreciated most was the canvas being simple to navigate. The only assignments are 1-2 quizes a week and an ocassional discussion post, so nothing crazy. As long as you follow the study guide you'll succeed in this course. I also enjoyed how the material was interesting and fun to read.

His online class is so easy that you won't ever have to email him about homework, took 6 week class and only had about three 10-question tests per week.

This class was a breeze and genuinely enjoyable—I actually looked forward to it every week! The workload was very manageable, with short, straightforward weekly quizzes that were easy if you did the reading/videos (which was always interesting and not too long). We also had occasional discussions. Highly recommend!

The class was honestly one of the easiest classes I have taken online. The quizzes are all due the same day of the week, and you have the entire week to complete them. And around every other week, there's a discussion. There was no final or anything like that, so that class was easy and straightforward! The quizzes are all based on the reading.

Prof Saxon was extremely accommodating and legit went above and beyond all semester. I hope i can take another course with him. He teaches phenomenally and classes are fun especially if you care. He's a good grader and very clear about expectations and assignments and it's probably impossible to fail this class unless you really don't try at all.
