Have always been interested in history but Mr. Thomas has given history life. His passion for history is apparent in his lectures and discussions. The reviews for the test are so helpful and the class is almost impossible to fail. And above all he has an awesome beard that should have its own chili pepper!!!!

Mr. T is an Amazing teacher! He is extremley helpful and creative when it comes to learning techniques. His teaching technique is Colorful causing the class to be fun and rememberable. Mr. T is a real funny guy. I'm not a fan of History and Mr. T made it to where i actually wanted to come to class to learn instead of having to go because its required. He is really funny, integrates new things with old to help remember, his test are easy and to the point, gives easy grades, and makes note taking very simple. Taking him for 1302!

Mr. Thomas is the Seth Rogen of teachers. He may be older than you physically, but his mind is still into video games, movies, and making jokes. I've never met a teacher who I could level with. He is the first teacher I would probably invite to my birthday parties and so forth. Words alone cannot describe how amazing he is!

i am a student who can sit in the back of the room and just listen not have to worry about studying or stressing and this class made it easy to do that. it is lectured based and very easy to understand and remember everything. i passed and never took any notes

Mr T was by far the best teacher I've had since coming to St Phillips. I took the Flex 1 and 2 with him, His test are online on canvas but were very easy. Started off the year having lots of technical issues, but Prof T was very understanding and helped me through it. The class is very organized, and although the quizzes aren't too hard, not studying or trying will result in bad grades. Overall, realllllllly great class.

He's an amazing teacher. This is my second time taking him. Not a normal learning environment, in the sense that he's very laid back, funny and chill. You don't need a book. You show up to class and listen to his entertaining, yet informative lecture and take 2 exams that are sometimes take home and super simple. I did not have any assignments.

I took 3 classes so far and i've gotten all A's ... I did online because i have a bad schedule and when i have free time i can work on assignments. If you do not take Professor Thomas, you making college hard on yourself. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. I got a C the first time i took 1301. I got it up to an A. Again.. take this professor!!!!!

All the answers to the quizes he has for the assignments can be found usually with a quick google search for the question and quizlet afterwards. So this class is an easy A. Didn't even read the book. Just took it online. REALLY RECOMMENDED for a higher GPA. Just do well on the test using quizlet and do them on time and you should be fine.

If you're not a history major and want to get the credit out of the way, but don't really care about learning, take Mr. T's class. There's a weekly 10 question, multiple choice quiz that you have 3 attempts on, and it tells you what you got wrong. Answers are all online word for word. I didn't even buy the book. No papers/projects/discussions.

Like most (all?) of St. Philip's college you have to show up. The major difference is here you want to show up. Very interactive, very fun.

Took this 5 week course with professor Thomas & he is one of the best ever! Out of all the classes i have ever been to this is the best one! Very funny and sweet! His lectures are the best. US History 1 with Mr. Thomas was awesome!! I took it the Flex II semester so it was a bit accelerated and you're really only allowed to miss 1 class. After that he will start docking points I believe. Buying the book is not mandatory. It's all lecture but really fun and interesting. Just take good notes. NO HOMEWORK!

This professor is by far the best one I have had at St. Philips. He made it enjoyable to come to class. Take lots of notes and the book is not required. You can get an A based on your notes. His teaching style is set up to be very personable so I would attend every class and take notes. Those notes will really help you on your tests.

I'm really bad at History because other teachers made it so boring and hard to understand. But, Mr. Thomas is REALLY good. He is little lecture heavy BUT he does a good job telling the class what is important and what you can just listen to and making it really interesting .

By far my favorite professor yet! The whole semester we just took notes. Out final was made up of questions that he let us make up as a class. He has a great sense of humor and brought sweet treats for the class often.

Only 1 midterm, 1 final exam, 1 quiz. He is insanely funny and is very caring about his students. History has been the toughest subject for me since the start of k-12, but Mr. T made everything so easy to remember by his own teaching method. I went to another college about years ago and my history teachers I have had were no where near as fun and understandable as he was. History use to be my favorite class all in High school then college I got stuck on and couldn't really focus anymore. Finally I came back to a new college and got him as my professor and I love history and learning .

i took him for the online course, super easy, you do have to sometimes think outside the box, but his content is very understanding and to the point. and from judging his emails he would send us, he seems like a funny, caring individual. Would definately take his course again.

I took Mr. T for History 2322, for a summer class. He opens all work and lets you work at your pace, easy quizzes based off his powerpoint slides (rarely used my text book) I def recommend him.

Great class, I took online so I missed the lectures that people rave about. Simple class, do the 3 assignments each week, and then do the midterm and final. very clear-cut grading and expectations. great class.

My second time taking one of his classes and theres nothing bad I could even say. I enjoyed taking his virtual and online classes. Work is pretty minimal and tests are fairly easy. Definitely recommend!

One of the easiest classes I have ever taken. All the work is done in InQuizitive. Mid-term exam had 25 questions and final exam had 50 questions. If you failed your final he allowed you to write an essay about a specific topic. He kept the higher grade. It is impossible to fail this class.

If you have the opportunity to take one of Professor Thomas class..do it. You will not regret it. The course itself has a lot of heavy reading but Professor Thomas uses this software called InQuizitive which makes learning the material super fun and easy to retain.
