Good and funny teacher. Expect to get frequent quizzes and the end of class and like 4 exams. He doesnt take attendance but you should be there all the time anyways for the quizzes.
Wonderful teacher. Very helpful and willing to work with you. The test are exactly what is on the review sheet. Took summer course and didnt mind going.

I never liked math, but I thought his MA07 class was good.He gave quizzes,but they were ok. Very nice professor,always willing to help if you need it.If your not taking MA07,I think you get extra credit if you go to the Math Club meetings!
Professor Alhihi is a very good teacher. I enjoyed taking Pre-calc with him and I'm going to try to have him for calculus next semester. He knows what he is talking about and is very thorough and helpful. If you don't like doing homework then he is the teacher for you. His tests are very fair.

Horrible Teacher.
Pretty good teacher. He seems to really know his stuff. Along with teaching how things work, he also shows you WHY. I like his teaching style and I'm glad he just doesnt throw formulas at you without showing you how they work.

I took him for 3 math classes, he is such a great prof. highly recommended! He makes everything seem so simple and is always there if you need help. He wants to help you which is more than I can say for other profs.

I JUST FINISHED MY SUMMER SESSION MAO7 WITH THIS PROFESSOR. I GOT A (B) WITH HIM AND LAST SEMESTER I TOOK THE SAME CLASS AND GOT (AN (F) WITH ANOTHER PROFESSOR) I'M NOT REALLY GOOD AT MATH, BUT THIS TEACHER CHANGED THAT..HE IS SO GOOD..I LOVE HIM. HE CAN BE A LITTLE STRICT BUT HE IS A REALLY GOOD TEACHER!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely one of the best and most patient math professors I've ever had. Tests are fairly easy and prof. will do everything in his power to help you understand the material. Excellent!!
One of the best math teachers!. He really makes the class simple and explains it very well. He has a very good technique for teaching mathematics. No matter how hard is the material, he'll make you understand it. He's also very patience and helps a lot his students. I strongly recommend this teacher for any math class; you’ll be in good hands.
You will get the help you ask for. I finished MA01 quick then struggled through MA07. Prof was very helpful, kept me from quiting, got me though. Communication a little rough. Stick to it. Math Lab helped too. Good Luck.
This teacher is fair. He claims that he does not drop the lowest test grade, however my final grade told a different story. He likes it if you go to the math lab for extra help, and loves it if you go to his office for help. He wants you to do well and gives opportunities for extra credit occasionally. I would take him again.
When I heard how great of a Professor Al-hih was, I was so happy to have his class. OMG! He rushed the entire semester. I ended up withdrawing and NOT able to get my degree. He is NOT clear on his explanations and I have to come back to get my degree plus I am 4 months pregnant. SO SORRY! Gives test back like 2 weeks LATE, when we need them to stud
He is a very nice teacher. even though i failed 2 tests I got a B+! He likes to use the textbook during class.You have to attend class to understand the subject better.I definately recommend him.

very nice teacher very helpful when he feel that not everyone is catching on . his voice squeaks alot so it makes it funny. but overall very nice and i actually understood it.
On a more updated note, this guy is horrible! Rushes through lessons, gets offended when you ask questions, barely understandable, not funnny at all, no review sheets for tests
I dont know what some of these people are talking about. Statistics is hard enough for people who arent good at math, but having a professor like this makes it worse. You cant understand a word hes saying because of his accent which makes it hard to learn anything in his class. You try to ask him a question and he gets mad. Hated him and the class.
I love math!! Prof. Al-Hihi is a good professor but his "No partial credit" policy is what killed me. He is a little fast paced but he explains things thoroughly. His accent sometimes gets in the way but overall he is a good professor.
he seems nice in the beginning but then thru the year he gets really mean and rude and offended when you ask him questions. he takes things personal and grades right off the test grades
He is a nice guy,but in the wrong profession. His responses to your questions make you look ridiculous, when all there is, is just a little bit of confusion. Do not expect to get an A in his class without tons of hard work and your OWN effort.He is a super hard grader,which is totally unfair for a "student." He's more a mathematician than a teacher
He's a mathematician, not a Math teacher. He expects every student to know the lecture as he does. When he gets mad, you might think he's sarcastic, but he is not; he gets pissed at times. Tough grader, loves to find ways to deduct points from test. Also, did I mention he's bipolar?
I almost withdrew from his class, even though I needed to pass to get to the next level. When I approached him with the withdrawal slip, he apologized to me and said he'd work with me, tutor me on his lunch, and allowed me to sit in on another class. I wouldn't have gotten my degree without his assistance. He's a professor that cares.
PreCalc 2 at SCCC - Easy online homework assignments, but the tests were hard. He often rushes and makes mistakes while doing example problems. Gives random pop quizes w/o warning and does not speak clearly. Very tempermental and difficult to tell whether he is being sarcastic or actually angry. Not worth the frustration,I withdrew mid-semester.

This guy is the man! Yes he's a little hard to understand but he is very willing to help on anything you understand. He's very funny and this is a hard class but if u ask for help he will help you. Overall he's a great prof
Best math professor I ever had. Very talented at math and teaching and also very funny. Made the class fun and interesting. Took him for calculus, not sure what he is like at lower levels. You do have to work. Go to his office hours its actually fun and there is always food. He def cares and will help you succeed but wont hold your hand.

I would not recommend the online course instructed by this professor. I am an educator myself with a masters degree and this was easily that most frustrating course I ever took
I had this man. I emailed him asking for one-on-one help, he never go back o me. It was like he wanted me to fail. I couldn't understand his accent and he went to damn fast. DO NOT TAKE THIS MAN!!
This guy can not teach even though i got an A+ i had to teach myself. I did not like this professor at all. i do not recommend him. If you want to be self taught then you can take him. But if you need explaining take someone else.
He was such a great professor !!!!! very helpful and always trying to find a way to help you beyond ...This tests are easy and the final is based on the test he gave previous only thing he changes are the numbers ..I say take him I hate math and suck at it his very funny and nice always tries to help you ...I got a b+ for the class ( I took stats)
Amazing Professor at Suffolk! I took his wife before for Computing. He is very student oriented & expects you to learn everything but he gives you the answers to your success. 75% of the class never tries but he gives so many opportunities to succeed. Best Math Professor I've taken at Suffolk along with Professor Rann & Jones. Al-Hihi loves soccer!

Easily one of the best professors I have ever hod or will have. Helps you on his own time, you really get a sense that he love teaching and helping people understand difficult concepts. Definitely a good choice for those who struggle with math or those who enjoy challenging themselves.
Very helpful, especially considering the fact that it's an online class. Ask him for help and he will easily help you and sit there with you until you get it. But for all the people taking him as an online course, you are supposed to teach yourself, that's the point. He has many other students and he can't get to all at the same time.
Best Prof. I have ever taken for any class. I've never enjoyed math before, but his passion for Math made me fall in love with Calculus. Always willing to help after class in his office, no matter how long it takes. Nicest, Funniest, most relatable prof ever. Everyone loved his class, and he cares about his students like a father cares for a son.

I had this professor in the 2016 fall semester and he was a pretty good teacher. He makes sure you understand every process and no one get left behind.
Awesome I took mat 007 on SUMMER 2016. teacher was really good. you learned a lot because you are concentrated in the class and not in extra homework. great teacher !!!great person!!!!
I thought he would be a great teacher he has a good sense of humor. However humor doesn't cover everything else up. He was very unorganized there weren't any lecture notes he kind of just bounced all over the place from section to section without a proper layout. I wouldn't recommend him if you need good structure in class like I do.
He is hilarious and caring. In order for you to succeed in this class you have to put effort he will work with you throughout the semester he doesn't like his students to fail, he drops the lowest and gives another exam to replace the lowest. Those who give bad reviews most likely didn't put in effort. Do the homework and extra credit!
He's a good professor, albeit disorganized. In order to do well in this class you need to study. He provides review questions for each test and the final and gives you multiple quizzes to help bolster your grade. On top of that he gives a couple of make up exams. Plus he's also hilarious
The man doesn't teach the subject yet expects you to know it by heart and is extremely temperamental. Also if you get one problem wrong he makes a huge deal about and will make you feel ridiculous. He doesn't even bother to help you with the subject if your struggling. Do not take this man.

He isn't the worst but definitley not close to the best. He doesn't teach in a way students can understand, and has a strong accent. Overall he is a great guy but I would suggest taking someone else if you are not good in math and can't teach yourself.

The class is straight forward. The professor has help text so you'll know the steps to the problems. I took MAT111 online. I can say the best decision being that I didn't have time for a sit-in class.
Easy class just do the work, be prepared to be self-taught because he's not a good teacher, in my opinion, he's very impatient and can be rude.
Professor A. was so nice he gave us so much time for each homework and explains everything.

He never explained how to use MyMathLab and when I emailed him with questions he was very rude and did NOT even answer my questions. He is not helpful and neither is MyMathLab, if you are not good at math and dont want to teach yourself do not take this class!
If you are a hard worker and are up for a challenge, take this class! As long as you are on top of assignments, you will be fine. Professor A has a straightforward way of teaching, and he's very organized. He posts what we went over during each lecture (online learning), but you still have to be present to succeed. BE READY TO TAKE LOTS OF NOTES.
Great professor! Occasionally, he gives extra credit and reviews questions before tests. Some homework comes with explanations (50 tries per question) and 5 tries per question in quizzes. Prof. Al-Hihi gives extensive lectures, and it's heavy on notes. Sometimes he gives extensions when needed, only don't ask for too many. Plus, he is hilarious.
Do NOT take this class. Professor does NOT offer feedback on tests for wrong questions. If you ask a question, like 'How many questions are on the exam?' he will lose his mind. He does not care about his students' well being with learning virtually.
This class gave me so much anxiety because I never understood anything he was saying. He goes very fast in lectures and never answers any questions. I emailed him once and he never answered me. He can be rude when you have a question and makes you feel dumb for asking.

I had dr. Al hihi as a replacement teacher for my original stats teacher 2/3 of the way in the semester. Not only before did not one person really understand the material. But dr Al hihi was a great caring guy. He wants people to pass. He doesnt want to hurt you. Hes old school. Hes actually a really cool guy would def take him again!!!!!!
just withdraw while you can. our class started with 27 students and 2 weeks in there were 18. He is not an educator by any means he is there to rush though his lecture and grade your test, and good luck with his grading. "you may use a calculator"...." i took 5 points off because you clearly used a calculator for this". GET OUT NOW
I didnt interact much with this professor because I was fully online, however, he did take a long time to respond to my emails. He gives me enough time to do the assignments but the reading is a lot.
It hurts me to call him a Professor. He provided a few power points on Brightspace (some of which were blank or half blank) and that's it. Oh and a weekly e-mail reminding you what work was necessary to complete in the online portal that you paid $160 to access. That's it. I got an A, yet learned absolutely nothing from this course.
Probably the roughest Calculus professor. Very nice guy but very bad when it comes to teaching. He will not give you full credit, unless all steps are given during the test if you make the slightest mistake. If you asked for extra help, he will leave two hours before his extra help ends. DO not take him if you struggle with math.
If you struggle with math do not take this course with Professor Al-hihi. Lectures are fast paced, not all steps are provided but expected to know. If you miss steps on the exam, you will lose points and he is very clear about his grading. Most students refrained from asking questions, lectures are recorded. Prepare to do homework/quizes weekly.
What ever you are doing, stop and go back to scheduling as fast as you can and get out of his class. He does not teach, he does not give you time to think or comprehend what is going on. He does not stop to ask if the class understands what he is teaching will make you feel extremely incompetent if you even try to ask a question.
Do not take this professor. He gave the class a hard time, we won't from 10 students to 5 since everyone mainly dropped the class. He has no patience, won't answer any questions because he expects you to know everything and the homework is difficult.
I dont know if it is a language barrier, but his teaching was just way off. He is a wonderful human being, but I wouldn't take his class again.

Where do i start...Proffessor AlHihi was an absolute ... ahh i cant say that. This guy isnt nice at all, one of the most inconsiderate and non questionable professors i have ever had. Spent an entire semester in the library getting tutoring almost 3hrs a day just to learn and study better with other professors. Dont take this guy. Just Horrible.
He threatens students with taking points off for asking questions. Not only does he not give you any credit if you get the question right and miss one step, but he also will mark the answer as WRONG if you don't do the work EXACTLY like he did. As a cherry on top, my friend who was in class with me gave up towards the end and dropped college.
even with tutoring he lacks the ability to simplify his work, he moves way too quick, Is not as friendly when it comes to participation and he grades your one mistake harshly in a equation Ass
harsh grader. listen to what he wants you to show on the exam b/c he will take points. gave reg extra credit as well as ec in the form of combined pop quizzes. accessible out of class but questions need to be concise to not confuse/annoy him. is definitely silly, towards the end he had at least one existential crisis per lecture. tread carefully.
The professor can be a real challenge. While the lectures are sparse, using resources like unstuckstudy along with the textbook can help you stay on top of the material. The workload is heavy, but putting in the effort can pay off.

I do not know how he even has a few Great ratings as someone who had math as a weak side, his lectures are very old schooled, yet fast paced, passive aggressive demeanor when teaching especially when participating, even with tutoring his work is hard to simplify for me and many and I said it was a lot of HW, Tough grader

Man, I do not understand how this professor has such a low rate here. This man really knows how to explain Calculus easy tests and short homeworks. He is a little bit bitter, but inside, he is such a nice person. Always up to help during office hours if you need extra help; I love this respected man!

Professor Al-Hihi has a old school style of teaching he wants you to do things his way and if you don't he will mark it wrong he would ask you if the answer he wrote on the board is correct even though he know it is correct, My friend couldn't get on the homework and the professor didn't help him he just said it was too late.
Never had an easy algebra class until I had Professor Al-hihi, would take again!
