he says "yeah mmhmm" after practically everything he says. he also repeats himself at least three times. he's a really nice guy who tries to help his students but he's kind of boring, on the upside he's really easy.

I hated this class. I brought a tape recorder so that I could try to decifer what he was saying. Likes to write on the board- tests are hard. Barely got a B.
Very nice professor, very helpful and offers additional assignments to boost grades. He is VERY difficult to understand...
He is the worst teacher ever. He is very hard to understand and makes the class alot harder than it should be. I would definitly take another teacher if you have to take Operations Management, try ZHU.
Sweet and cute guy...he is simple, and loves his "friends"... whoever said he is hard is an idiot

Hard ass class but DEFINITELY take him. He's a great guy, boring but fun to listen to. He'll call you his "friend" to no end and finishes every sentence with "ya mmhmm". Anyway, he grades based on you're acceleration through the class. if you bomb the first exam, just do better on the final.
definately not an easy class but he lets you know that right from the go. i must admit that his accent makes it a bit hard to understand at times but he makes it up by making his class lectures as clear and to-the-point as possible. as long as you study his practice tests, you should be fine. great guy and recommended professor!
This teacher was really high on himself and often put down "american students" as being lazy and spoiled. He really looked down on anyone who was lost in this class. Needs to get real and get off his high horse.
nice guy. very willing to help
He's a good guy. Sometimes he's a little hard to understand, but overall the class isn't too hard.
SO HARD! But, he does warn you that on the first day. After a few weeks, he stopped calling us his "friends" because we did not understand anything. He told me in the beginning of the semester that I would not get a D, so he gave me a D+, I've got to take the class over again.
Great professor. If you do your homework and go to him during office hours you will score on your homework. Study your notes for his exam and you should do well. I took him once and sat through his class like a zombie and failed. I took him again and scored the highest in his class.
i like him very much cause he will give you pretest and whatever the one that on the pretest will be on the test so just study whatever he said in the review section and do the pretest(very important), i don't think this is a hard class if you do the pretest!!! He will tell what is on the test also!!
really is a good man. go to class, do the homework, study for the test, and show your face in his office a couple of times and you will get a good grade. He is very helpful and understanding.
I had this guy for Operations Management. He spent a good deal of time putting down American students by stating they were lazy and spoiled. I think he enjoys making this difficult.
Lee can be hard to understand and his classes are boring at times, but all you need to do is memorize how to do the practice tests and you'll definitely get a B if not an A. Funny guy but hard to follow.
Dr. Lee is totally cool and funny. he spoon feeds all of this very complected subject matter to you.
i have him for operations management. He is a teacher who does not waste time. just do the homework, study and show up in class and you will most likely get a good grade. he is hard to understand when he teaches. he's a very nice guy.
I took his MBA Decision making tools, Personal he is my Favorite at Rowan , not because he gave me an A ( Only 2 of 30 student got A ), I believe all my hard work get paid, He give us the big challenge at the beginning but at the end you ll know what u deserved!! The only reason students complain about how hard his course is because they are lazy.
Just listen to him and follow all of his instructions. He guides you through how to do everything very slowly which I think is very helpful. He gives you all the tools to be successful and then some! He is super nice, and he loves, loves LOVES to help out his students.
WORST professor at Rowan! He was VERY difficult to understand. Allowed a group memeber to kick two other memebers out of the group two weeks before a semester long project was due without getting the story from all parties involved, then denied he did so. Take another professor. He repeats himself and yells to get points across. Not helpful!!
Lee can be hard to understand sometimes but he is a very friendly professor who loves to make his 'friends' laugh. As long as you come to class, it won't be hard to understand the material. Study the practice tests that he gives the answers to in class and you will do fine on exams. Sometimes gives pop quizzes just based on attendance alone.
Hard subject but he is a good teacher. A little hard to understand but explains subject in detail. I would take him again.
This professor is brutal. Expect to work hard and still have a tough time.
He is very hard to understand and the lessons are not taught clearly.
Stay as far away from his as possible. He is a horrible professor that does not even care to help students in office hours.
I am suprised at all the mean comments, this professor was not bad at all! Very hard to listen to because he talks loud and has an accent, but he knows what he is talking about and teaches it very slowly. If you go and pay attention its not a hard class. He gives sample exams that are almost EXACTLY the same as the test, but with different number
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!! He knows his stuff but he makes it so hard its unbelievable. He does have office hours and he will help you if you go to them but overall he is not a good professor.
BOOOOOOOO!
Worst professor I've ever had. (had him at Rutgers Camden) He is very smart but has no idea had to get it across to his students. Lectures are very useless. I managed a B+ mainly by studying together with the whole class. DO NOT TAKE HIM. He calls everyone his "friend" and also says "yess uh huh" nonstop.
Dr. Lee has a rare passion for his subject matter. He can get the topic across if you pay attention. He provides students with many options to gain grade points. This is a subject that requires work to understand but will be very useful in business. I didnt need to share his passion, just appreciate it. Once you get that, the class is okay!
Exams are challenging, but if you print out and study the materials he puts on open area you can pass.
His homework is REALLY hard but gives chances to make up for lost points just try to not miss one. His lectures are painful to sit through because he makes no sense half the time. His tests are hard BUT the questions are basically taken from the sample tests just mixed around. Overall hes an easy going teacher and he means well and tries to help
Awful... His lectures are long confusing and he makes so many mistakes. The hw is pretty much out of the lectures but can be long. Test are very long and difficult and he does not five you enough time to complete them. The worst Rowan MBA prof so far AVOID IF POSSIBLE.
Tough class. Very confusing. I would think it would be better not to take his class online.
The only thing I learned is that with a 99% confidence level Prof Lee is a horrible teacher, you will learn more from youtube than his lectures (he even refers you to youtube when you have a question since he is no help). I came in with a 3.975GPA, spent 2xs as much effort in his class and will come out with a 3.7 (assuming I earn 2.0). AVOID HIM!
Be prepared for a confusing class. Hard to understand. Study the sample tests and hw and you may do alright.
One time in this class we had a fire drill. The alarm was sounding so instead of letting us leave he shut and locked the door and kept on teaching. He is not my "friend".
Had him for two courses. Both time he consistently provided me with the long pointless lectures. He tends to drag on for ages discussing basic concepts that make you feel like a 5 year old and then suddenly blow past difficult topics in seconds. His ability to communicate or answer questions is non-existent. His classes are truly teach yourself.
If you can avoid him, do so. I emailed him all the time asking for clarity with HW assignments and the final research paper and his responses only confuse you more. He is famous for answering to "please refer to the syllabus" rather than actually answering your question. The material is interesting but be prepared to teach yourself the concepts.
VERY tough course but he is also VERY helpful. Don't skip class and make sure you give time for homework - it is similar to the tests.
This was one of the hardest classes I have ever taken. AVOID IF POSSIBLE. The lectures are long, drawn-out, and tiresome. Also, the exams are very difficult. You will have to beg continuously in order to get an answer from him. Moreover, his answers tend to change from day-to-day. If you take this course - good luck.
He is known to be one of the toughest professors at Rowan. However, he always replies to emails even on holidays or weekends. Do not expect to get an easy A... It will not happen. Some people got As in my class but you need to try hard and do your best. I also heard from classmates that he usually rounds up the grade, but you need to do your part.
Definitely a hard topic to teach and he knows that. He offers a ton of office hours and lets you know that if you participate and come for extra help he will help you out in the end. I had a B+ and he gave me an A because I always went to his office to go over homework. Don't be afraid to go before every class, he encourages it.
The subject matter is difficult, but not impossible. It becomes impossible when Jooh Lee teaches it. Lecture slides continually have examples that are incorrect. Yes, you can email him, but his answers change day to day, student to student. His lack of consistency and poor course structuring creates more headaches than the material itself.
OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT Jooh wants the best from his students, he knows if you go to class everyday and if you hand in the homework. Do yourself a favor, don't miss class, print out all of his powerpoints, and do the HW. I didnt buy the book and we didn't really use it at all. Be sure to do well on the 1st test because the 2nd and 3rd were difficult
The subject matter is difficult, but Lee does the best in his ability to help. He encourages you to visit his office hours if you need the help. He does give out homework that will not take long to do as long as you paid attention to the class. He also goes through the practice exams with you (which are basically the test). I would take again.
Took him for OM in the summer. He never lets you out early, do not miss class, lots of homework, the material is tough, but do the homework and study the practice exams and you will be fine. He wants you to do well and is willing to help. Great teacher!
Just don't take him. His class is at least 20 times harder than all other OM professors. He doesn't get through a lecture in one class, then just moves onto the next one without finishing. Class is painful
Most difficult class I've taken as a Junior. Moves insanely fast, tells you to "read your notes" when you ask a question and his notes are all over the place. But I failed first exam and got a C on second and have a 96 HW avg and an 82 overall avg. Get someone's binder who already took the class and you'll ace all the HW and hopefully pass.
I was afraid to take OM with this professor because of the reviews on this site, but I've gotta say... it was a very fair and enjoyable class. I never felt like he set us up for failure or was unclear, and from day 1 he tells you what you need to do to get an A in his class. Make the binder, study the sample tests, and review notes. You'll do fine.
Difficult course compared to other courses Ive taken. The professors accent makes it hard to follow what hes saying and you end up getting lost as to what he is teaching. He doesnt write on the board in an organized way, hindering note taking. His exams are intentionally hard and tricky. The language barrier really makes the class 10x harder.
One of the worst professors I have had at rowan. His notes make no sense and basically had to self study and tech myself even though I went to every class. He grades tough and basically the entire weight of the course is on the exams. I wish I didn't take him, and you definitely shouldn't
Besides the fact that you cant understand him, going to his office hours its a waste of time because he does not help you. If you ask a question he would go around the question and ends up not giving you an answer. Smart man, knows what hes talking about but very tough class because you basically have to teach yourself.
Professor Lee is a very smart individual who definitely knows what he is talking about. With that said, that does not always translate into the best professor. I don't need to go one by one on whats bad, previous reviews do that for me. Be prepared to learn on your own and teach yourself as you go. Only took this guy because I had too. Terrible.
Course material is loaded with mistakes. The pace was too fast and went from zero to 100 within a couple weeks. The worst part is, about a month after class no one will be able to do any of the problems. It is is a clear example of study for the test and forget. The volume of work for MBA students who aren't full-time students was too heavy.
DO NOT TAKE. The amount of material covered is not reasonable. The semester paper is more like an MS thesis. His grading will leave you disheartened. His videos are littered with mistakes. On the last day of class we have due two HW assignments, a cumulative final and the paper. His approach is not conducive to learning. STAY AWAY.
First this dude's accent is so thick you have no idea what he is saying. This course was necessary for my major; Prof Lee keeps stating "he wants to be our friend" - that's all well and good, but I have enough friends, I needed to understand this class and get a good grade. His priorities are off and lectures terrible.
Professor Lee is genuinely a nice guy who wants students to succeed. If you go to class and dont pay attention you will fail because the material isnt easy. His accent isnt that tough if you just pay attention and his tests are very similar to the practice tests he gives.
Dropped w/in weeks. HEAVY accent. Couldn't understand & made no sense. More interested in "I want to be friend" than teaching the class. One of the worst prof. at Rowan - there are so many great profs at RU. transferred to Roh online - so much better. would have failed this course bc of Prof Lee, but got an A w Roh. Best decision to withdraw!
I usually don't have a hard time with professors and their accents, but the language barrier made the class challenging. The quizzes and coursework were relatively easy, but the paper was extremely difficult. The guidelines were broad and he expects you to make it 10 pages along with a presentation? I wouldn't recommend taking this professor.
Can not understand anything the teacher says. Inaudible english. You will need to read and work entirely on your own, or hire a translator.
Hard accent and like others have said, he keeps saying "you're my friends", well friends help friends and he does not do that. I got a question marked wrong on homework, I went to him for help, he said 'it was my fault I got it marked wrong but my answer was correct'. He doesn't think he or canvas can make mistakes. He blames the students.
Sad to see a respectable school like Rowan, hire someone like this. Lee blames everything on the students and nothing on his teaching. Him calling the students "friends", makes me think he's never had a friend to compare it to. Friends help each other and Lee has done nothing like that whatsoever when I had him.
For an online class the material is way too comprehensive. Lee will go on and on and on and sometimes go over scheduled class length. The way I look at it, he does everything possible to make you not want to pay attention. Language barrier/accent not an issue for me. Find another professor that teaches this course, Lee is just not it.
It is truly a shame that Rowan University makes people pay to take this class, when the professor has been teaching it for 20 years and still makes no effort to talk in an understandable manner. I spent more time thinking about what he just said in the last sentence, rather than time thinking about the material he is teaching in the class.
Absolutely awful. If you can take this course with anyone other then Lee, then do so. Impossible to grasp the material with his teaching method and only passing since its open book exams.
Great guy, cares for his students, but you go over specific, difficult problems in class, if you go to class and pay attention it is an easy A, all homework's and sample test are the same as test.
Worst professor I have ever had at Rowan University. Yells at students constantly, explains course material unnecessarily hard, and does not answer students' questions. The course is not hard to learn, but Prof. Lee explained it in a way that was impossible to understand. I taught myself this complete course using outside resources. Not recommended
He is unsympathetic, judgemental, and disrespectful. He doesn't let you use technology in class unless you properly file an ADA with the school. He won't take your word on an absence unless you file paperwork with the dean's office, and even that won't. God forbid you are going through something serious in your personal life, he won't understand.
Makes absolutely no sense when he speaks. He will go off on random tangents that have absolutely nothing to do with the class and will start yelling at students out of nowhere. His explanations for the course material are confusing and unnecessarily difficult. His yelling is constant and rude, and the banging on the board doesn't help. Do not take.
Bro. Try your absolute best to take this class online. Makes absolutely no sense at all and will have you wanting to rip your hair out.
Everyone leaving bad reviews just don't like to put effort into work. You can send him your hw before submitting and he will tell you which are wrong. You can use all your class notes during exams if they are in a binder. His accent can be difficult to understand, but he is really kind and caring and wants everyone to do well. Take him for OM!
Avoid taking anything with this professor. I made the mistake of not switching classes to ANY other professor. His accent is not the issue, but the lectures. He will spend 20 minutes berating the class over simple things and repeating it over and over and over to then ignore more important parts of his power points. Avoid if you can
Dr. Lee has a bit of a difficult accent to understand but otherwise he's not bad.If you send in HW early, he will tell you which is wrong to redo it. And all exams were online, in class and open note. I would not skip bc it is very difficult to catch up, but as long as you go and pay attention it is not super hard.
Really don't understand all of the bad reviews on here. People are just soft lol. Great professor in my opinion. Sure, his accent can be difficult to understand at points but its not terrible. He allows you to send in homework and he'll respond to your emails very quick. As long as you put in any sort of effort this class is easy.
Extremely difficult exams and hard to understand his lectures clearly.
Professor wouldn't accommodate my time-extended accommodations and was not helpful when I got a bad grade due to not being granted my accommodations. He also was not kind when assisting me. Don't take him.
Professor Lee may actually be the worst teacher there is at Rowan. He is very difficult to understand and often utters the words "Yeah right" after he says anything. He is a very harsh grader and expects everyone to understand the material to his degree of understanding. I would HIGHLY recommend to not take this class. He teaches to grade not teach
He rambles on all class, and is very hard to understand. He starts yelling at people when they don't know the answer. Easily the worst professor I've ever had. I had him for operations management.
Dr. Lee will ramble in class about things that do not matter. He will spend two class periods going over "easy" lecture notes, while the difficult things he will only go over once. He will invite the students to ask questions, but will hammer the student down and ultimately not understand what they are asking. He's really not the strongest prof.
He is a nice guy but his lectures are so boring and his material is very hard to understand. He also has a thick accent which is hard to understand. Again his class is so boring I'd rather eat all the sand in the Sahara Desert than sit through his lectures. DO NOT TAKE HIM. If you do switch out immediately.
Do not take this professor for operations management. By far the worst teacher I have ever had. Barely answers your questions and says its common sense. Has very little sympathy for anything not related to his class. He thinks his class is on the only worry students have. This professor only teaches to grade not to teach.
If you come to class and pay attention he talks about the material and tells you everything to expect on the exams. The homework can be sent in for him to check before submitting. It might seem like a hard course at first but if you stick to the notes like he emphasizes there should be absolutely no problem. Exams are open notes which he provides.
DO NOT TAKE! 🚨 Doesn't know how to structure an online course, lacks empathy, communication is poor towards students and keeps nothing confidential, the list goes on. Majority of the class has submitted complaints and feedback to dept chair. PS If you've taken a course, read some of the 5 star reviews and guess who it is LOL
