Anatomy was the hardest thing ever, but that was just the material. I also had him for a 3 hour lecture, so it was rough. But his class lectures and PowerPoints were useless in studying, tests were SUPER hard, only way I passed was with the book. He had to wind up offering tons of extra credit and curves because everyone was failing. So good luck.
This was by far my HARDEST class. I spent more time studying for this class than any other and still came out with a C. I do not recommend this professor. His tests are extremely difficult and his lectures are useless. He was very nice, but I did not get out of what I thought I put into this class.
He was very nice. The class was just a little difficult.
Very nice, if you ask for help he will give it to you. Tests are all about the book so, READ. 3 hour long lecture is not ideal. If you read the textbook thoroughly you will be fine.
Dr. Clark is a nice guy, however he is not clear whatsoever of what will be on the exams. Spent so much of my time studying for his class is b/c I had no idea what to study for. Anatomy is not an easy course but this prof makes it more difficult. DO NOT TAKE HIM! He gave extra credit, but told us he would drop lowest exam and then never did!
He is a very good teacher and test over the subjects that are most important to Anatomy. He is always willing to go over test/give feed back. Not always clear on what he wants, but is always there to answer questions that you may have about an assignment, so there should be no confusion. He is very passionate about what he does! Great teacher!
Great teacher, he explains the content that the course covers in great detail but it can be hard to follow if you do not read the chapters ahead of time. His tests were rough, they cover a lot of material so studying is an absolute must if you want a decent grade.
He is very very impersonal with his lectures, doesn't seem to care if you pass or not. Gives extra credit only because his tests are so hard, he teaches basically physiology instead of anatomy... did not enjoy this class at all nor did I learn anything from it
Horrible teacher. Power points didn't help at all. Basically had to teach yourself.
Professor Clark isn't very clear in his lectures. He reads straight from his powerpoint and doesn't expand too far. Although, all of the homework he gave was through the online textbook and we only had to do a couple of essays that had to be less than 200 words. If you study hard and read the textbook you can pass this class with an A.
I really enjoyed Dr. Clark. He's really funny and tries to make the lecture also. The class is so long though. He gives study guides and bonus questions. His tests can be too hard but he's very willing to help you out. Take advantage of office hours as he will point out a lot of things to study for the test.
He cares about his students. He's willing to help where you need it. He's honest about the difficulty of the course. It is a lot of material, a lot of reading, a lot of work. Unless you are super smart in this area, it won't matter who you take. The material for this course is what it is.
Clark is a good professor, and has power points but I would recommend reading from the E-book or a hard copy. Answers any questions and gives a study guide of sections tests will be over. Study and should get at least a B.
Awesome Professor. His lectures are very detailed but will let you know what you need to know or not. Prefecture and post lecture assignments often. If you study well, then you should do fine. Makes lecture interesting and fun. Not many tests only 4 a semester. Final is NOT comprehensive!
Tests aren't hard if you really study. Sends out an email before every test with specific sections in text book to study. Adds games into lectures so it's not just reading off a PowerPoint. He's pretty cool but you have to work hard for a good grade.
Anatomy is a difficult class regardless of who you take, so you might as well take someone who cares about your learning and is very invested in the material. He expects you to do your part though, get the book and wait for him to e-mail the sections then just read and you'll get an A. He tries to make lectures interesting also.
Dr. Clark was AMAZING! I have taken micro before and the metaproject brought my grade down, so I retook the class with him. He made it fun and easy to get an A. I've heard he is harder for A&P, though. Pay attention in lectures, go over the slides, and study the quizzes. If you do all of that you will do fine. Hardly touched the book. I loved him!
He was a great professor! The class wasn't as hard as it could have been and the lectures were detailed. If you missed a class you would miss a lot of information so going is advised.
He isn't a bad guy. He's actually a good professor, but you teach yourself. He gives powerpoints, which are nice, but you ARE. TEACHING. YOUR. SELF. I am not a lazy person. I can do the work! BUT the study guides, not all that helpful. The study guide is the chapters that you need to read, and that'll be on the exam. GOOD LUCK HUMAN ANATOMY!
Dr. Clark is a deadly combo *snort snort snort* He goes above and beyond to make sure his students understand the material. He uses powerpoints, videos, concept maps, and class discussions. HE LOVES SCIENCE
You basically are teaching yourself. I am not one of those people who want an easy A, I work for it. I try really hard in his class, but he jumps around from subject to subject, which makes it difficult to understand the material. If you get stuck with him, good luck. Keep trying is all I can tell you.
I LOVED DR CLARK, you have to work hard for your grade because anatomy is just a difficult class. I recorded his lectures and went back and listened to them, got an A on every test. You have to work hard and study in this class, but he is a great professor.
terrible taste in music
Ignore the powerpoints, just focus on the textbook chapters that he puts up, you'll get an A if you memorize the textbook chapters as all his questions are straight from there. Not a hard class if you memorize everyday, there aren't any conceptual or thinking questions.
good professor and has a great taste in music
Tells you to study McGraw for the exam but none of the information is ever on the test. Just stick to studying lectures and reading from the book. Powerpoints are all over the place and often he has us take notes on things we don't need.
I really loved Dr. Clark. He really knows the material so ask questions if you don't understand because he will explain it further until you do. You'll definitely going to have to study but go over the McGraw Hill quizzes and you'll do great on the exams! Going to lecture also helps out because McGraw Hill doesn't cover every little thing on exams.
This class is VERY hard. There is a lot of reading and he sometimes talks fast. The tests are EXTREMELY difficult. There is no such thing as winging it for this class. I recommend taking a lot of notes, go to every class, and reading everything! You also have to take a 2 and a half hour lab every week.
I really respected Dr. Clark for the majority of the semester, until the final test day came along. He screamed and cursed at an innocent girl, then punched a wall out of anger. I then caught him giving hints to the answers on the test to a flirty girl standing at his desk. Very disappointed in his behavior the very last day.
This class tested my abilities, especially the group meta project for the lab portion that counts for 70% of your lecture grade. Study hard and do not slack or fall behind on your meta project. Read his notes and record his lectures a week before the exam and you will pass. This is no class to slack off, but he is very nice and approachable.
He is not bad. But you will struggle. In my opinion, the lab was WAAAAY easier than his lecture. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS, HE WILL HELP YOU IF YOU GO. If you tell him, "I don't get it", he'll ask what exactly you don't understand and HE WILL BREAK IT DOWN FOR YOU. Just give him the specifics on what you don't understand. Just try and he'll see it.
Dr. Clark is way to extra in class. He does not know how to make this class successful to the majority of his students.
The pop quizzes are pretty hard and there isn't many questions on them so its difficult to pass. Lectures are really interesting but the tests are generally over the textbook. Lots of online assignments. The lab is the most difficult part, because the TA's seem lost and they grade harshly and are always behind.
I took Clark for A&P I and I will be taking him again for A&P II & Microbiology. I really really liked his teaching style. He is sarcastic and so depending on your sense of humor you may or may not enjoy that. Try to sit in the front few rows! It will help a lot with your understanding of the material.
The Labs are the hardest thing!!! However there is no way to avoid that regardless of who you take so get ready! For lecture study everything out of the book, personally his lectures didnt help me but I went so I wouldnt miss the quizzes and any important announcements. But to be successful I would really just focus on the book only!
I would definitely recommend Dr. Clark- great professor and very knowledgeable. Although, attendance isn't mandatory it's NOT a good idea to skip class cause he covers a lot of material in every lecture. The textbook and all homework are online and he always says when we're going to have a quiz.
This class is difficult, I suggest learning out of the book as the powerpoints don't help me and he doesn't post them on blackboard anyway so if you miss something you will need the book anyway. Labs are easier and more interactive than A&P I. I believe if you want to be successful in the class you really need to focus on the textbook more!!!
Took him for A&P 1&2 hes a tough professor. Doesnt give many resources or help for his really hard tests (I studied a lot & read every chapter). Lab was boring and TAs were really lazy. Compared to my new professor he was unnecessarily difficult for no reason and lab was a waste of time. Its not impossible to do good but I would not recommend him
Dr. Clark was very helpful. Clark used good notes and references to help his students understand the content. I was able to do very well in this class. He is very passionate, the only thing is, YOU HAVE TO STUDY.
Clark is a great professor that really knows what hes talking about and loves teaching it. He has a humorous personality and is not mean how some people say he is. His tests are super easy if you listen in lecture and just take notes. Homework is easy. Would take him over any other A&P profs.
Dr. Clark was a really good teacher. Sometimes lecture gets boring but you NEED to pay attention. The test is based on the lectures and homework questions but mostly what he talks about in class. There are some topics that require more studying than others. As long as you do your work and pay attention in class you'll pass.
I thought he was a great professor. He is passionate about anatomy. Lectures do tend to be long and it is easy to zone out. Definitely buy the text book because exams are based on the chapters he assigns. Make sure to study everyday because there is a lot of material. Expect this course to be difficult and do you're best.
He is awesome and definitely knows his stuff! Super chill and funny guy, but he doesn't mess around. His lectures are so important to pay attention to, although they can get boring and/or overwhelming. Online textbook reading and assignments. Extra credit on every test. Just do your work and stay on top of things and you will be fine!
Dr. Clark is an amazing professor. Although his lectures are fast, which requires you to be able to take good, quick notes, the information in them is the test review. Anything that Clark tells you to do, DO IT. His tests are difficult. You can't pass a test by studying the night before. I learned how to study in this class and am greatful for it.
Clark is a really good professor for Anatomy 1 & 2. I took Minich the first time I took anatomy and I'll just say it was a nightmare. I DEFINITELY recommend taking this instructor. Yes the material is kind of hard but if you study what he tells you, then you will do fine!! He is very understanding and funny. Just don't walk out of his class.
reads of the slides but he does say important information throughout lectures. homework counts towards your grade a lot so do them and there super easy. he's super nice and works with you if you need it.
Jordan Clark is an alll around terrible educator, his lectures are not helpful but if you dont show to class he will withheld your grade even though you do all the work he will give you a zero. He also has a made up policy that if not followed he will start acting like a five year old child and throw tantrums about how you dont follow made things
Dr. Clark is good I guess. A&P is a tough subject but his lectures are decent as long as you actually show up and pay attention. He replies to emails really slow, but the homework is manageable and the tests are just like the lectures. I would take him again but I would be sure to pay more attention, take better notes, and study harder.
He is pretty decent. Answers your questions. but his lectures are boring and does not really teach the material just reads it.
Dr. Clark is an around good person and professor. He went above for students that voiced care. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS, it helps tons and he helped me prepare for each test. This course is tough with tons of material so Cramming isnt an option.
Many words describe this man arrogant, rude, narrow-minded. Clark is just all around a trash teacher and if youre thinking about taking him thing again.
Dr. Clark's microbiology class is really interesting and fun to take. We only had 3 tests this semester but that's my only complaint and thats only b/c if you've never had him you might not know what his tests are like and its harder to come back from a bad grade. Tests are straight from notes and online book pretty straight forward. 80s references
Microbiology: Make sure to take your notes- he doesn't post his own or share all powerpoints. In-class assignments, so go to class. Also HW from online textbook assigned. Only 3 tests which SUCKS. Won't respond to emails, which equally sucks. Don't study the textbook, study his notes.
Take him! I took Minich for A&P 1 and got a B, she was extremely difficult with exams. Clark provides a clear outline of what he expects of you and his exams are 40 questions, no pictures, to the point. If you study and go to class, you are golden. Just study the objectives of each chapter and that's where he pulls questions from.
I had Dr. Clark for both A&P 1 and Microbio and I absolutely love him!!! I took Minich for A&P 2 and it was a total nightmare. Clark is super informative and his lectures are very easy to understand. If you go to class, do the homework, and study, you will make a good grade. I 10/10 recommend Clark to anyone interested in taking one of his courses.
Best professor Ive ever had. He is so entertaining but yet teaches so much. His tests are easy if you pay attention and do the homework. He doesnt add anything he didnt go over in class. He doesnt take attendance every class, but he does when he has quizzes and he doesnt warn you so just go every class. Highly recommend him!!
He is a amazing teacher and wish he taught ha&p II
Solid professor. A&P 2 is supposed to be difficult but he makes it easy. You learn the material and he only texts over the basics, not too in depth. He pulls exam questions from quizzes and powerpoints. Show up to class and you will pass. Stress free semester.
He cares about mental health and that helped me A LOT. He is also very patient as caring and KNOWS what he is talking about which make everything a lot easier.
Dr. Clark was an amazing professor for A&P I. He made the learning objectives clear and easy to understand for each chapter. If you take good notes and attend every lecture, you will do good on the exams.
Dr. Clark is a great professors who is passionate in what he teaches. He truly tried to help teach the course in the best way possible with the pandemic going on. Test are quite difficult so you definitely need to pay attention to lectures and take notes.
Professor Clark is a great professor. The only thing a lot of students faced this semester was his lack of responsiveness to emails. He did not answer anybody throughout the entire semester. Other than this set back I highly recommend taking him for microbiology. Great lectures and a great teacher overall.
Clark is very smart and loves what he teaches. I took him for A&P I and II, he def makes you work for your grade. He has detailed slides you need to study if you hope on doing well of his tests. But he is very caring and wants to see his students succeed as long as you don't try to blow off his class. :)
Great professor. I had him for A&P 1 and now I have him for A&P 2. Would take him again in a heartbeat. Explains things very well.
Dr. Clark was the best Anatomy professor. He posted all of the work a week ahead of time and reminded you when it was due. The textbook is online and required because all assignments go through it. If anatomy is a requirement take Dr. Clark.
Clark is the best choice for A& P. His tests accurately reflect the lecture material. He is understanding and goes into detail over the content. Lots of lectures, but take notes and study, and you will pass.
Dr. Clark provided extra study tools to help the class. He released the chapter readings to help us prepare for the next exam. Also, the homework helps prepare you for the test. Finally, the most important aspect is to take good notes, because the test is over select material from the notes directly provided by his lectures.
Good professor, although he reads from powerpoint. I enjoyed him because he makes it easy to understand. Bad thing is, if you dont come to class he does get petty. Overall he was awesome.
So my problem with him is he never answer emails. If you have a online class with him, make sure you are on time with your assignments and test because he will not answer your email. I was going to take him for microbiology next year but he pissed me off with him not communicating with his online students.
He does not answer emails hardly ever and purposely leaves out lecture slides to make you go to his class.
This class was one of the harder classes that I have taken. His lectures never really helped me. I mainly focused on the textbook to study. The lab is what got me the B. Be prepared for the practicals (30 question test with 30 seconds for each question-no study guide and not always multiple choice questions)! He is overall a chill professor.
Tough on grading students. I had COVID, he didn't extend the deadline of assignments. He emailed the class this "high levels of unethical activity during the exam" at one point during the semester even though the software were using was Proctorio. There had also been delays of lectures and assignments. Barely any extra credit just 2 bonuses.
I was pretty excited to take this class as I enjoyed BIO 2403 w/ Dr. Clark. This semester was unprofessional and unorganized, however. Some lectures weren't regularly posted; assignments were missing before the due dates so you had to worry if he would open them up again. Emails were never responded to, so don't bother. Very test heavy (10!)
the first half of the semester was amazing. I loved his lectures and as long as you came to class the exams were straight forward. However, he doesn't take attendance and made that known but by exam 3 he got so mad at people not coming he made exam 3 and the final impossible to even pass. Majority went from an A to a C.
Dr. Clark is always helpful and I strongly recommend attending office hours especially if the course is taken online. He always takes the time to thoroughly explain and help with anything!
Online lectures were at a really fast pace, do not get behind or you won't do good in his class. If you go to his office hours he is more helpful and gives advice on what to study. You have to stay on top of the material and take practice tests.
He isn't very easy to reach outside of class, and most/all of the information from the class is taught directly from his powerpoints. This is not the way that I learn, but if it's how you learn, you may enjoy it.
Straightforward class. Each chapter has a HW due (2 attempts) and a reading assignment (answer until correct). 4 EXAMS, respondus used. Study from his powerpoints and you should do ok. Very lecture heavy. Most chapters have 3 lectures, 45min each. Exams are 4 chapters a piece. Lab is lockdown. Be able to ID structures. Good teacher for hard class.
Great professor! He has HW and reading assignments do every week on Sundays. 4 tests that use respondus lockdown (webcam + browser). Make sure to watch all his recorded lectures, not just the power-points as he gives more insight into the chapters. For a hard class with alot to memorize he does a great job at teaching. I'm taking him for A&P 2.
He is JUST OKAY. I did online, there are 4 test (Camera MUST be on) and homework / lab Homework every week is due on Sundays. DO not miss any assignments, he will not open it back up. He tends to have attitude on the emails. Oh well good luck
took this as an online course and it was great! Just listen to his lecture recordings and you will be successful on the exams. HW assignments are easy and helpful for lectures and lab exams.
BEWARE!!! I have taken similar classes to this and have always enjoyed the material. Professor Clark has near destroyed my love for this subject in a mere matter of weeks!!! All of his lectures are all over the place and extremely convoluted!!! The assignments are extremely difficult and are different from the lectures. Do not take
I have taken A&P I twice now. Once with one professor, and the second time I took Dr. Clark. I wish I took him the first time. His lectures go so much more in depth, instead of throwing information in your face like “other” professors. He made the material actually make sense, and his lectures are fun. C to A in A&P from him. TY Dr.!
Do not listen to the bad reviews!! He's an amazing professor and actually wants you to pass. You have to want to pass too (you can't be lazy and do nothing). Lectures=Exam. Study and ask questions! Is strict about online exams but that's a given.
He is ok. You have to be there because he does quizzes every class period. 3 exams- study!!. He offers 5 bonus to test after you take them during a quiz. Make sure to go to class bc his PPs were mostly empty & you had to be there to get the needed info. do the quizzes and the HWs they will help your grade if you're doing bad. Pay attention in class
I took his class online and it wasn't bad. Lectures are long. HW assignment and lab due every week. 4 exams which are 60% of your grade, use lockdown browser and camera. Gave an extra credit assignment. Overall, this is a hard course in general so I can't say it was easy, but he was a good teacher and I'm taking him again for Anat and Phys ll.
Had him my first semester and it was awful. Personally, I didn't like his attitude most of the time and he rarely ever responded to emails. READ the textbook and take notes of your own don't just rely on this lectures/PowerPoints. A lot of memorization so please study as much as you can.
Clark's course is fairly easy. Quizzes are given at the start of each class and count towards attendance, but they're straightforward and serve as grade boosters. His exams are directly aligned with his notes and practice questions, making them predictable if you study. As long as you attend class and stay engaged, you should do well.
Horrible online experience. He is too stringent of a professor. Does not care about students and learning! Task master.
I took him for a&p 1 and 2 for lab portion. He is the instructor but the lab is always taught but a teaching assistant. Professor Clark is nice and a good teacher but you don't interact with him much. Just pray for a good TA.
I have taken both A&P 1 and 2 with Clark online, and I enjoyed both courses. During the majority of A&P 2, he required you to watch the lecture videos to take the exams, but they aren't boring, and he cares about teaching. I will say he isn't the easiest to get a hold of, but overall, the course is easy.
Overall very straightforward class. He does 3 lectures a week and homework due on Sunday. As long as you keep up with what he post this class is pretty simple for being an A&P 2 class.
Videos are okay, you do have to study a lot for this course since there is so much to grasp. He doesn't make the class too hard though.
This professor's class is a joke. Exams make up 60% of your grade, and the extra credit barely helps. Homework doesn't count for much, either. It's all about 4 exams, and they're locked down browser with your mic on and camera on the whole time. Just take this class online at a different college.
Took it online and this was a straight forward class. About 2-3 lectures per week and homework due on the weekends. The tests are based on the lectures and the questions are a bit hard, so make sure you thoroughly review each chapter. The lab section and practicals were easy, and it's all about memorization. The extra credit he gives does help.
This isn't easy. I personally should have never taken this class online. If you don't enjoy listening to lecture videos, I wouldn't recommend taking this class. The lab section was pretty easy, though. I feel that taking this class in person would be more beneficial
The course is not that hard to take, assignments are pretty clear. But if you miss an exam due to illness and have a clear written doctors note this professor won't care. He did not want to help me at all and Clearly, he never wanted to and may now fail this course because he didn't care
This professor is extremely strict and not very understanding of what students may be dealing with. He starts quizzes exactly on time, so even being one minute late hurts your grade. He isn't flexible or supportive, and based on my experience, I would not recommend him if you're looking for a compassionate instructor.
Great Professor. As long as you memorize the material all the tests are very straight forward. Have him for lab online too.
Dr. Clark was a good professor, he was good at looking at his emails, he may not respond to you directly but he will read it and post an announcement on blackboard. Heavy lecture videos so make sure you do not fall behind, may upload up to 3-4 videos a week so take lot of notes. 4 Exams and all are using Respondus Lockdown with camera on.
