Guys, this is the best prof in the world. No seriously guys, you must take his class. His teaching style is outstanding and clear, and he is more than passionate about what he teaches. He is very humorous, his exams are reasonable and online discussion posts are straightforward. Very approachable and kind.

Professor Harel was one of my favorite professors this semester! On the first day of class, one of the first things he said to us was that he wanted us to succeed (which was really touching! haha). He walks around (unlike other professor who just stay up in front of the class). His lectures are REALLY engaging, and his exams are EASY A's!

Very interactive! After class if he sees you packing up he will try and engage you in conversation. He sincerely wants to get to know everyone. Lectures aren't always interesting but his tests are straightforward and his expectations are reasonable! He always ends the class with a question, but he does it in a funny way.

I woke up at 9am to study for the 7pm final (which was worth 50%) and I got an A. I would purposely take another course with this prof, even if the class is something I am not interested in. He is one of the most genuine and fair professors at UOIT. He cares about his students and even though the lecture material is BORING, he makes it engaging

Straight forward Prof at UOIT, I honestly just attended the midterm review and final review classes and got an A+ studying the PowerPoint slides. He wants people to attend class by giving out full info lectures in class only and tries to deter slackers by posting slides online with reduced content. Lots of study questions are given going into exams

Jordan Harel is an amazing prof. He speaks and teaches with such enthusiasm and even though his courses are a little hard - they were interesting. He is someone who wants to see his students succeed and will try his best to make sure your answers are answered to his fullest.

Jordan is honestly my favourite professor at UOIT. He's friendly and approachable and is always willing to help students out. When he gives out assignments, he also breaks down what he wants and if you follow it, you'll do great. Every prof should be more like Jordan.

Amazing teacher. Always available to help. Be prepared to go over notes and understand the lectures. He does a great job explaining things, he understands his field very well. Papers and exams are very simple if you keep up.

Jordan Harel is probably the most amazing person I have ever met. People think he is "easy" but he is not. He does not just simply give out marks, but he also does not make the lives of students even more difficult. I take HIS classes because HE is the prof and because his classes are fun and he is easy to listen to. He still expects people to try.

Probably the sweetest professor you will ever meet. He actually cares about his students and stands outside the door greeting everyone before each class. His voice reminds me of OLAF from Frozen and it makes me happy. You may find him a little boring but you can never get upset with him. Easiest marker ever, exams are questionably easy. Love him!

had dr. harel for criminal justice and it was a super easy class. Super nice guy, but reads primarily off the slides so if you study the slides well, you dont necessarily need to go to class every week. Would recommend taking his class as he is very energetic and an all around nice guy

Probably one of the best UOIT professors I've had... All his classes are super easy and he genuinely wants you to succeed, it's honestly a shame that not many professors have that mentality like he does... All in all, easy lecture slides, does exam reviews, not many assignments, you're guaranteed an A in his class. He's really approachable as well.

Most definitely the best professor you will ever have at UoIT! I highly recommend taking his classes, especially if you need that GPA boost! His lectures are super easy to understand and his midterms and final are FAIR GAME. He is very understanding and will help you with the best of his ability, even for other courses!

He asks questions during lectures on TurningPoint which helps study for exams and revise what you learn each class.

I always look forward to taking Harel's classes, he genuinely cares if his students do well and that they actually have an understanding of what's being taught. Attending lectures gives more context behind what is written in the PP, although they are very straightforward. Tests are fair and expectations for other assignments are always clear!

Professor Harel is hands down the best professor I have gotten in my years at UOIT, he is caring and very sweet. He is clear on what he wants you to learn and does not throw any surprises at you. He is a little socially awkward as profs go, but that is because he is perhaps playing it a little dumb to relate more to students. Great lectures that never last longer than 40 min. All exams directly from slide show, and as he repeats all important information it makes it a lot easier. The only prof to use interactive games in class regularly

Amazing! His lectures are extremely straight forward and he emphasizes areas that you should focus your studying on. He always took the time to ask each student individually if they had any questions during the break. Truly a caring professor. I always felt happier leaving his class.

Dr. Harel was a great professor, and honestly one of the best at UOIT. Hosts great, interactive lectures, and ensures that all exam- related content is discussed prior to the exam taking place. Dr. Harel is very enthusiastic with his teaching (which is great)- you can always bet on enjoying class when he is the lecturer. Overall, a great Prof!

Absolutely will take his classes again. He is so understanding and wants his students to be successful. His exams and assignments are always easy. He cares very much about his students. He does not pressure anyone to talk. As long as you do the paper and study everything on the lecture, you are guaranteed to pass with an easy 90.

His tests are super easy since he reads directly from the lecture slides and underlines and repeats everything on a midterm/exam. He's really caring, heard he waived someone's late marks after talking to them. I would buy an older textbook since you can get by w/o it until the paper. For the paper, borrow a friend's/library's or use the older book.

Harel's my favourite professor thus far; his lectures were short, midterms/paper/exam was easy, implemented interactive activities, and is so supportive/caring. Many students skipped his classes but I do NOT recommend it because he highlighted important information during class (which always showed up on tests) + most test content came from PPTs!

Jordan was an amazing prof into my first-year of Criminology, probably the best one. When you email him, he answers with clear detail. His lectures are so straight-forward and make a lot of sense. Jordan wants to see you succeed. If you have Jordan as a prof, feel relieved it is nice to have someone so caring in your education.

Professor Harel genuinely cares about his students. He wants all his students to do well and he will help you if you're having a hard time. In a pool full of teachers who seem like they're just there to pass on information, he's a gem who is there to make sure that you actually learn and succeed.

I really enjoyed this class. It can be boring at times. In order to pass this class you MUST watch and review ALL his slides. The PDFs are mandatory as well in order to get good marks. His exams are usually 30 questions and you have 30 minutes to complete them. His class is alright if youre willing to put in the work. Hes always super nice!

I had Jordan for 2 semesters, and I really enjoyed his method of teaching. You can clearly tell he wants all his students to pass with an 80+. He's a very easy marker, and he is always willing to give feedback on your work. His tests and essays are very straight forward. To summarize, if you do the work, you'll pass with a 90.

Professor Harel was easily the best prof I've ever had. If you have his class all you have to do is read the slides, keep up, and you'll pass with an A. The tests are very light as well as the assignments. He is very accommodating and you can tell he cares and wants his students to do well.

He was a good professor and really helpful overall in my first semester of my first year. He unlike most of my first semester profs he showed that he cared about my mental health issues and helped me out with extentions.

He is very approachable and his lectures are engaging as he has an enthusiastic personality. However, he read off the powerpoint word for word and if you read the textbook before the lecture, you will not get any new information during class. He does answer questions during class and is very accessible for help after classes.

Lectures are short, quick and get the information out. He does read off the slide, but all of the information is there. Highlight and comeback to phrases he emphasizes. He actually teaches you what's going to be on the exam.

Dude actually has good lectures, super transparent about his grading scheme and test structure, overall best prof I had.

His lectures are interesting, and they make you want to attend. In saying that, if you miss you'll be completely fine for the exams, just make sure you catch up on the lecture before the exam. He lays out everything and doesn't try to trick you, overall a good dude.

Very nice and an easy grader. Make sure you show up for lectures and take notes, the exams are easy regardless though.

If I could take every course with Jordan I would. Amazing analogies, his lectures are like he is putting on a show while educating you. Must know everything he goes over because even details will be on tests. He puts in real effort to his slides and has no problem answering questions effectively. 10/10.

Amazing prof! I no longer attend otech and I am currently at tmu but Jordan Harel is still one of my favourite profs to this day. His assignments and exams are easy to understand you just need to go to class. He knows how to engage his students in to the lecture and really understand the material.

Lecture are perfect and to the point 1h or less. He is the absolute best prof at otu, if you're on the fence about taking his class, DO IT. It's so worth it. He is very genuine and caring for his students, and very lenient when it comes to extensions. He's the sweetest prof ever

Dr.Harel is an amazing prof. His lectures take 1.5 hours max, and he gives the answers to his test on a silver platter. If he repeats something on his slides more then once, just know its going to be on the test.
