Really enjoyed this class as Professor Huynh has opened my mind on my career exploration. He's very passionate in his lectures and I recommend this class for anyone in college because it helps with strategies too!
Professor Huynh is a great teacher that gives great practical advice that is applicable to every college student's life. The class was great, and if you put in the work you will easily receive an A.
This is an amazing professor and if I could take any other classes with him, I would love it!! Everything was very smooth in this class and was a bit of therapy for me because of how encouraging he was and the advice he gave! Major thumbs up :)
Professor Huynh is probably one of the best professors I have had at IVC. He truly cares about his student and wants to share these key skills and fundamental to help them succeed. You really couldn't find a better professor for this class.
Professor Huynh is hands down one of the kindest Professors/Counselors at IVC. He cares for his students and takes the time to ensure everyone is on the same page/all the questions are answered. This course is fairly simple, attendance matters, and the lectures are essential to the weekly assignments. Take this course with Professor Huynh!
He's very helpful and willing to help with anything you need!
Professor Huynh's COUN6H class was pretty good. The professor doesn't try to make the assignments overly onerous, but the 8wk nature of this class did end up putting me in some pretty awkward positions at times. Overall, I think the class could be better spaced out, but otherwise, it was pretty good.
Really great professor, assignments are straightforward and you don't need to worry about your grade because as long as you complete the assignments you will get an A! Lectures are great to listen to and he teaches a lot about planning out your academic/life career.
This class was very enjoyable, and Professor Huynh was always enthusiastic during lectures and truly cares about his students. He taught a lot of great material that can be used to apply to life/career success and the assignments varied each week. The homework was manageable would definitely take the class again :)
Easygoing professor and the class has lectures where you can learn a lot about yourself and your habits.
Really cool professor and I felt like this class really helped me in terms of getting my life together and having an outlet to get help in different areas of life
Professor Huynh is very passionate about his class and students. There is a lot of work, but it's clear what is expected and it's only 8 weeks. I'd recommend for an easy honors credit, or to just get more organized and develop valuable life skills.
Amazing professor!!!! Learned a lot from the course that I can apply to my life. Take the course! Super fun!
Professor Huynh was a really good teacher and I learned a lot from this class. I learned a lot about myself, my values, and study habits. This class helped me organize thoughts about transfering and my potential future career path after college.
Prof Huynh strikes me as a motivational coach with the way he easily shares personal, relevant anecdotes in class and seems to have this high energy that is bound to keep you awake in every lecture. He gives a lot of HW since the class I took is condensed into an 8-week period. But do all the HW ON-TIME and participate in class often to get that A.
Great! If you are looking for an easy honors class, this is it. There are quite a few assignments, just make sure you don't fall behind and you'll have an easy A. He is super inspirational and passionate about what he does. His lectures are interesting and change your outlook on college life. Taking him will only benefit you!
Professor is good. He gave assignments that helped with understanding ones self. Good class if you need somewhere to start when trying to figure out what career you want to pursue. Good level of energy every class. Talks about his experiences a lot.
I recommend everyone to take this course. Professor Huynh is very knowledgeable and interested in what he teaches. He uses real life examples and fully applies himself to every lecture. Great professor!
Professor is patient and able to solve students' questions on time. Also his lectures are interesting and able to help the students to learn lots of useful things such as research on careers and prepare for the futuure.
He genuinely cares about you and his teaching style is more conversational rather than lecturing. He responds to emails relatively quickly and is super understanding if anything comes up. I highly recommend you answer in class in order to get the most out of your experience here.
Prof Hyunh was probably one of my favorite profs till now, at IVC. His class was so well structured and it was interesting! I think that all the work for his class is very doable. He is such a great person and I enjoyed the advice and stories he always had to share. Overall, great teacher and great class! Highly recommend!
Professor Huynh held a very interactive class and often delivered lectures in a concise and easy-to-follow manner. The material was straightforward forward but because it was an eight-week summer course it did require a lot of homework and several writing assignments (4-5 pages).
Counselor Huynh was very caring, outspoken, and motivational in his lectures. Don't be afraid by the amount of assignments given each week, the work is very straightforward and easy to finish in a timely manner. Just make sure to complete all assignments on time, participate in discussions, and show up to class in order to do well in this course!
Great class and great assignments. They are very subjective so as long as you finish the page limit you're set. Max 5 pages but again it's all about you. He doesn't accept late work no matter what though. However it's very doable and easy A.
Great class to take especially if you're not sure of what you want to do in the future. This course basically helps you better understand your values/plan your future out. There are a lot of papers you need to write but it wasn't too difficult, just a lot of researching. Professor doesn't accept late work so turn in your assignments on time!
Counseling 6H with professor Huynh was one of the easiest honors class I ever took! The workload was not too much, just discussion assignments and papers due every week. The professor was also very caring and understanding. Throughout the course you will discover your skills, interests, and passion to help you find the career that best fits you.
He's great
Super easy class and pretty insightful. Good for an easy A.
Very great professor
The class had a lot of writing and discussion posts, but the grading was pretty lenient.
Very straightforward class. Complete all the assignments on time and you should be fine. The class is easy and I recommend this class for honors requirements.
This class was one of the easiest courses I've taken. It includes a good amount of homework, but all the homework doesn't take a long time. The professor was a very easy grader and was very positive about everything.
I recommend taking Professor Huynh's Counseling 6H class. Huyhn presents his lectures in an easy-going manner and interacts with his students engagingly. All the coursework online is self-explanatory and not too difficult.
Professor Huynh is one of the most genuinely kind professors I've met. I can tell he genuinely wants his students to succeed. Lots of busy work but it's easy and as long as you complete them on time, you're pretty much guaranteed a good grade.
One of the greatest professors I have had! He really cares about his students and is very passionate about what he does! The coursework is very very manageable as long as you put aside a few hours every week to complete your work.
Take this class if you have the Honors class requirement as part of the Honors program. Overall a very easy class, just be prepared for a few knowledge quizzes, some papers and lots of discussion boards throughout the course.
His lectures are very good when it comes to learning the material, but he generally doesn't go over the homework, unless it's an interview. Because of this, you should expect no hand-holding when it comes to the assignments, meaning that it is up to you and only you to complete them.
Professor Huynh was very inspirational and had a lot of knowledge to give. The homework can be lengthy since they're papers but are very straightforward. His grading is very lenient and it's a solid class to take for the A.
I highly recommend this class for those interested in career pathways and transfer opportunities. Professor Huynh is an exceptional instructor who effectively guides students towards success, while also providing a well-structured academic MAP upon enrollment. Believe me! Do not hesitate to take this class!
Would take this professor again he is so genuine and passionate about students, and navigating their life balance through education and personal lives. He provides the tools useful to each and every different persons journey, highly recommend taking this class to every student to further your chance of students success.
This professor is so genuine and passionate about helping find students purpose and balancing life both personally and academically. Provides tools to help utilize every individuals personal development to help further student success. Would recommend this class to any student looking for that extra support and direction in an inclusive environment
This professor is kind and engages well with the class. Very interesting to learn about new and healthy ways to deal with stress.
He's really nice, and the homework isn't too bad. This class really helps your mental health overall
i had a overall good experience in this class and i was able to receive a good grade from it.
The class was easy and didn't stress me out and also taught me how to handle my stress and prepare myself for my other classes and other things in life. The professor is really nice and engaging with relatable scenarios so you don't feel lost. I really enjoyed the class and the work is very reasonable.
Mr. Huynh was such a great teacher. He made the classroom feel safe to talk in, he genuinely cares about his students. The work was easy, just online assignments every weekend, very easy. Great class to take for some easy credits and great stress tips.
He is really easy to understand and very kind.
He is a great professor who really cares about his students. Take him!
very easy and kind professor! would 100% take again in the future!
One day, Professor Huynh told us that he wants us "to feel like we're relaxing by the beach, typing away at our assignment." I think this statement perfectly illustrates this class. Just complete the assignments & follow directions, and you will receive an A.
Professor Huynh is a really nice professor; he works hard to make sure students understand the material and regularly stays after class to talk to students. Coursework-wise, the material was pretty easy overall. There are a lot of essays assigned, usually 4 page paper each week, but the contents are simple to answer. Definitely recommend!
Professor Huynh is a very good professor and is extremely helpful. The class is not difficult at all. The only homework are discussions and other assignments that do not take long to complete. Overall, a fun class and I recommend taking it for sure!
Great class to take for some more units and an easy A. It won't, however, be easy if you don't attend regularly and don't do your online work. Just show up so he doesn't take off points and do your work on time. Kind professor, super casual and easy to talk to.
Professor Huynh is genuinely a great person, he wants you to succeed. His lectures are fun and entertaining and really allow you to explore your career options. If you show up to class and do your assignment you will get an A+. Will definitely want to take him again.
Professor Huynh is a good professor and the class was pretty easy. All you need to do is attend class and follow the requirements of the assignments to get a good grade.
He's very nice and caring. class was relatively easy and very straight forward. Only complaint is that sometimes he'd ask very vague questions and then just go silent for like 5 mins because nobody knows how to answer it. He was very chill but it just made it feel a little awkward sometimes haha. would definitely take him again.
Nice professor but gives a huge amount of busy work. He will frequently ask a question and then just stand around until someone answers him, whether that is a few seconds or a few minutes. Won't cover all the material because he repeats the same things over and over again. Always a few minutes late to class and isn't organized at all in anything.
He's really easy, really just so long as you do the homework and go to class you will get an A. He is really caring for his students and I would definitely recommend him!
Definitely a class worth taking. Straightforward class with an understanding teacher who looks to help his students. Great semester. Thanks Professor, Saul R
Professor was very easy to talk to and helpful. Always made it clear that if you have any question to feel free to ask after or during class. Sometimes you do have 3-4 page assignments which caught me by surprise but they were pretty straight forward on what they were asking.
Professor Huynh was a great professor! He's very sweet and not strict, I would take this professor again, he made me feel welcome for my first year in this college!
I thought we was okay. And he lets us ask question and he gives us some easy assiament and sometimes diffcult
He was an awesome professor. He was willing to engage with us. He helped reduce my stress and pressure from personal issues. I could not ask for a better counseling professor. Thank you for your time and effort in this class.
This professor is really inspirational and really caring.
He is pretty cool
Very easy class taken for credit, yeah there is occasionally papers but it is doable. It's sometimes too much work for THIS class. He doesn't give feedback, and I feel like he should make the participation really matter because he asks a question, it's easy but sometimes he frames it to the point only he understands, just awkward. Easy class.
Very good, patient, helpful, and passion
hes a super chill professor, lots of busy work but an easy A
Mr. Huynh's class was very informative and easy to understand. He is a really great and understanding professor, I would recommend taking his class!
Professor Huynh is really good, keeping the whole class engaged with his lectures.
Professor Huynh is one of the most insightful professors on campus. He genuinely gives you so much insightful information in the short 8 weeks that you spend with him. You literally would have to purposely try to fail to get anything lower than an A in this class.
He gives about an essay and a discussion per week after a few lessons to read through. Overall, the content is easy, but there will be a lot of writing. Late work isn't accepted.
Don't hesitate to take him. He's very good. You are expected to participate in class, but he doesn't force you to. Attendance is a big part of class so just show up.
Very kind and caring professor who I'd take again! Some lectures are on basic topics but it's a nice reminder to have when it comes to career decision making. Later lectures involved more new and interesting material. A very class-discussion type course that runs better when people participate or contribute thoughts so something to keep in mind.
Professor Huynh is an amazing professor! His class was pretty easy and I took it in person. The time in class flies by because it's not that long to begin with. Just make sure to turn in your papers and assignments on time. All assignments in this class are very easy. It's simple to simply reflect on yourself and write some pages about it.
one word: fake.
Prof Huynh is one of the best instructors I've had! Great lectures and allows us to learn about ourselves and I was able to gain valuable strategies for my education. Highly recommend taking him! Attendance is mandatory and doesn't accept late work.
Esay class and really nice teacher and very understanding. I recommend this class with professor Jordan Huynh cause he's the best professor.
This class is being very helpful for knowing ourself, major and career paths.
It can get slow in his classes, but don't worry he's just giving you guys time to think/write.
The lectures were amazing. It was easy to understand the Professor even though I'm not a native speaker. It really helped me to understand and explore myself better.
He's cool, I will take his future classes if it is neccessary.
Very easy class, all you have to do to get an A is to do the homework/papers and show up to class. Big waste of time though, every lecture is pretty much the same thing repeating over and over. The papers are similar, very repetitive. Usually have to write up to 4 pages about the same thing. Overall easy class and Jordan is a pretty cool guy.
a great professor and does lectures that are good to learn from even to learn something.
Very friendly, wants to help students and has opportunities to answer questions
Mr. Huynh was a very engaging teacher as he would ask us about our experiences that relates to the context of the lecture. The work wasn't too hard, I only had trouble on 2 of the assignments as I don't have an idea of a career yet.
Nice teacher, if you want to get an easy credit, choose him.
he is a very nice teacher you guys should take, however there is alot of papers due.
Professor Huynh is awesome!! Great class to take if you're looking to dive deeper into college goals and what success means to you. Nice structured assignments, easy to navigate (discussion posts, quick essays, and mini quizzes)
Very good professor, very easy class. Quizzes were online and so were assignments. Simple lectures done in class- was able to work on assignments during class lectures. Everything in class was emphasized in assignments at home. Attendance counts for participation but he checks that at the end of the class period.
He is a good professor.
Great professor, really good at lecturing, there is a lot of homework and discussions but it is doable.
Real teacher lots of busy work but very easy to compleye
Great professor and counselor. Make sure to participate in class and do the essays before Sunday. Homework is only discussion posts and essays that don't take too long.
Lots of homework but easy grader, as long as you submit everything you should be fine.
The class is relatively easy, whereas no student should have difficulty succeeding. The teacher has great lectures that improve students' life skills and future planning. Outside of class, expect lots of long essays and weekly discussion posts that make up the majority of the grading. Overall, a great teacher and a great class to take.
Professor Huynh is very engaging and makes the class very interesting. Although there is a lot of homework every week, the assignments are very straightforward and can be done quickly. I highly recommend taking this class, especially if you need honors credit.
He's nice lectures are engaging
he's pretty cool, he's always been pretty supportive throughout my time in his class! :))
The course content was actually a lot more helpful than I expected. He covers a broad range of topics including mental health, personal values, self improvement, and finances. Class is pretty much listening to him with a sign out sheet at the end for participation credit. Super chill professor, I think it's worth listening to what he has to say
He's a nice teacher with positive vibes. Make sure to get your work in on time because his no late work accepted policy will bring your grade down!
I think that Professor Huynh is a great professor. His work is clearly outlined, and he does a great job teaching the material, he also helps his students outside of class. The one thing I will say is that he does not accept late work, so make sure that you submit your work on time.
The class is based on mental well-being, career, and life subjects. There isn't really classwork during class but there is homework every week. There are also online quizzes and discussions. Along with papers every week and there is not late work accepted.
Really nice professor! Overall, the class is pretty straightforward. Assignments due every week on Sunday, mostly discussions, worksheets, or essays. It's true that essays are usually 3-5 pg, but they're mostly anecdotal, so it's not challenging. Note that attendance is graded and no late work is accepted. Definitely a great option overall.
I took Professor Huynh's class for the summer semester. Professor Huynh is very knowledgeable and friendly. He made the content easy to understand, and the workload is very manageable.
class is very chill, a lot based on lecture and small class assignments. there are quite a few small papers (3-5 pages) but they are easy to complete because it is all anecdotal topics. note: no late work accepted, so stay on track.
This class is a super easy class, straightforward and easy grading. The only way you DONT get an A is if you don't show up to class or don't do your work. The professor is super welcoming and easygoing. Grading criteria is essentially based on completion. Very good GPA boost class. I took over summer and it was very manageable
Professor provides very clear instructions and while he does assign a lot of work, the vast majority of it is pretty easy, it just requires a lot of time to complete. Overall though, the professor grades very generously. Note that he does not accept late assignments, but besides that as long as you complete all work on time, you should get an A. :)
This class is pretty straightforward, the professor is really nice and chill. The assignments are clear and easy to follow with mostly discussions due every Sunday and occasional essays ranging from 3 to 5 pages but are also manageable. Attendance is mandatory and no late work is accepted so as long as you stay on top of work you'll be fine.
Great professor! His class was very interesting and very engaging. He also taught us a lot of life skills that are applicable in our day to day lives. Would definitely recommend taking him as a professor and would take him again.
Professor Huynh is one of the best professors I have taken at IVC. He is so easy to approach, super nice, and the work load is very manageable. If you are looking to take a class to satisfy Honors requirements I highly suggest taking COUN 6 with Professot Huynh, as this class was probably the most enjoyable class I have taken here at IVC.
Professor H was a great teacher for this class! I went into it not really knowing the contents of the class, and I truly did learn some life skills for my future through his discussions. I'd recommend!
bro is NOT accessible outside of class. never got back to me when I emailed him. Made me and a bunch of students wait outside his class for 2 hours. had an A+ the entire semester until the LAST 2 DAYS u gotta be kidding me
Professor Huynh was great at what he does because he was able to give me a lot of strategies and direction with my first semester at college. I highly recommend him as he's very passionate in what he does but make sure you submit all assignments because he doesn't accept late ones.
Workload is easy, very simple stuff. He spends most of the class on lectures and then a few minutes to do some work or whatever, stuff you just immediately reapply into the discussion or homework. Really helped with solidifying my goals and making the right choices to stay on best path.
He was one of the most chill teachers that I have ever had. Will often times tell exactly how he wants assignments done with the stories he says in class.
Professor Huynh was such a caring and nice professor. He was really flexible with the due dates and the assignments he gave out were really easy. Attendance was mandatory though.
Professor Huynh is a really great professor. He really tries to connect with his students and get them were they want to be. If you looking for honors credit its a great class and you learn more about yoursef.
This class has a relaxed and low-pressure atmosphere, which made learning enjoyable and manageable. The instructor is very responsible and supportive, and the workload is reasonable, mainly weekly discussions and a short 2–3 page paper. Overall, it is a well-organized course that I would recommend to other students.
The professor was very helpful when I had questions after class regarding personal projects.
Professor is really nice and doesn't grade too difficult. Only reason my grade wasn't higher was because I had late work, so your grade will be fine if you participate and complete everything on time. Very helpful if you're trying to decide what to do or if you need to start brainstorming ideas for what to write about in transfer essays.
Professor Huynh was an amazing professor. This class touches on very helpful life lessons that other classes and high school don't teach. I would 100% recommend taking this class.
Mostly lectures, but the assignments are easy.
If you show up to class and do the homework, it's basically impossible not to get an A.
Professor Huynh was an overall great professor who shared valuable internship experiences and explained how he helped others. All coursework was posted on Canvas, making it very accessible even without attending class. The class was pretty chill, well-organized, and low-stress while still being informative.
Great professor, easy class for an A, though attendance matters and is a big part of your grade. Very inspirational and a cool guy, please take him, he offers great advice!
Lectures are hard to follow and get off-topic. He is frequently quite late, and there are long stretches of silence that get awkward mid-lecture. He is a very nice and caring person, but not an engaging professor. This is a good class for easy honors credits, however.
