This was a required course for me so I did not expect much from it, but after taking the course; it helped me identify and reevaluate my life and goals. I found the course to be inspiring because Jordan really forces you to learn about yourself and to choose a career path that helps you. There is a good amount of homework.

I took Jordan's Counseling 116 class Fall 2015. I REALLY loved this class and would recommend it for anyone who needs direction as far as their major/career. I enjoyed Jordan's rousing lectures and his endless enthusiasm. It's clear that he's passionate about his career. His grading is clear. There are two major tests, but participation is key.

He takes a lot of pride in his work. Very flexible when it comes to his hours and meeting up with him outside of class for counseling sessions. Lectures are a bit long at times. There is a lot of interaction within the class. Offers extra credit for those that are struggling.

I had Jordan as a counselor, and a teacher. He really cares about his students, and enjoys it. I've learned a lot in the class, and the counseling sessions. The assignments and projects he gives are for your own benefit. You'll learn a lot, and actually enjoy doing the projects.

Gives great lectures and can really help you determine the path you might take as a career in the future

Jordan is an absolute gem. He is very passionate about this class and his energy rubs off onto the students. Get ready to talk during his class. Students will do equal if not more talking than the professor. I highly recommend this class and this professor for students who are not sure what path they want to take with their future.

I strongly suggest everyone to take Jordan's class! Be prepared for a lot of class discussions. I am a shy person, but it was easy for me to speak because Jordan created a comfortable classroom environment where we would not have to be afraid of judgement. Jordan is by far my favorite professor I have taken at SAC. If your an undecided major and am looking for some guidance or direction CNS116 is for you. You learn a lot about yourself and your values and if they align with careers you are interested in. Highly recommend!

Jordan cares about your career and he does help his students. He shares stories to motivate you. He is a very good listener and he whats his students to succeed in life. His hw is easy and you will learn more about yourself. It is fun when everybody participates in his class activities.

This professor does show that he actually cares about what he does which gives of a good environment. The work is not too difficult even if its multiple modules together. Only way the work is difficult is if you don't really know what you specifically want to have as a career, but he is very lenient with his work as an aid towards that.
