If you fail (or even get a 60) a single exam, drop the class you legit can't recover. Homework is weighted like paper and his online lectures suck. There is no exam drop and no curve. It is pass or fail from the first exam...
The lecture videos don't really prepare for the exams and on top of that the exams are worth 70% of your final grade with only 3 tests. I think it should be more fair and rewarding if you're good at everything else but test taking.
Tests are difficult and worth almost all of your grade. Lecture videos are well made but did not help a lot with the tests. If you don't already have some understanding of micro you will have a hard time.
I study the day before the exams and literally get A's on all of them. Would literally just watch his videos 2x speed and review homework problems. My group was actually awful in REAL labs and had me questioning how they even go into college, and couldn't follow simple instructions to copy my work and get a 100%. Easy class would recommend.
Taking him now for Public Econ and so far absolute masterclass at teaching. Many in-class exercises that are super helpful to learn and great to study for exams. Considering UCF's econ department, one of the few profs that don't seem like they don't care at all, and are just there to read you pp slides and give you quizzes as your entire grade.
He is overall an 'OK' Professor, he is an excellent one when it comes to in-person class meetings, but aside from that, his course is difficult to navigate through. You learn solely from online lectures. Sometimes, the homework is confusing even after the lecture. Tests are quite difficult even after studying the online material.
good professor he has simple videos on the modules like 4-5 vids then u do the homework for the week, pretty easy class.
The material and the hws are not too confusing, but the tests are borderline impossible to do well on. I have studied for days on end, gone to tutoring, and read the whole chapter and still failed an exam. The exam score distributions are AWFUL. Only 6 meetings a semester. Only plus side is the TAs, who are very understanding and knowledgeable.
grade isn't final yet but hopefully will stay lol. was super scared to take econ at first but with izenwasser all my fears went away. class based on short-ish readings, youtube videos, and professor videos which go over the book material with more examples. i understand his stuff well honestly. he + tas are SUPER helpful in class meetings as well
not the worst professor but homework is trickier than what is shown in the lectures and only sometimes provide an explanation to incorrect answers, which speaking of, homework does not have unlimited attempts. you genuinely have to understand the topics and apply them to do well. even when you ask questions, they never answer them in a precise way
Microecon material can be hard to learn in general, I wouldn't blame that on the prof. Lecture videos are pretty straightforward, and if you needed help prof and TA office hours are pretty accessible. You definitely have to put in work to pass, so take notes and study hard.
This class only has three exams and the final is cumulative. Homework is usually light but the graphing gets complicated. The professor isn't clear on when classes are and his syllabus showed the wrong dates originally so for this class be very cautious about when you have class as I didn't know and missed a class. His notes and lectures are basic
Basically, you either do good on the exams and pass the class or don't do good on the exams and fail the class. I got 100's on pretty much every other thing in the class except for the exams. Your grade is 70% exams which I think is unfair considering the homework is hardly ever like the test. He doesn't do or give reviews for tests.
It is a test heavy class that is pretty well put together. If you watch all of his videos and understand what he is doing you will be fine for the test. Very tedious and annoying homework though. His videos are an amazing study tool and if you take the time to understand what he is doing, you will pass. I never opened the textbook for this class.
very average professor. im a very average student and this class was pretty easy. dont even bother reading the textbook imo, his videos, google, and the learning curve assignments will teach you enough. It's pretty heavily weighted on the tests but it's not really that bad. nothing to write home about lol
his tests are very hard and you need to study weeks prior.
Prof. Izenwasser was absolutely great, though the course is a mixed mode meaning half online and half in person, he made sure that everything was easily understandable and offered simple explanations of the course content. He professionally records his lectures and separates the lectures into its different topics!
His lectures are concise and teach you everything you need to know for exams. Homework penalizes you for wrong attempts, making it easy to drop your grade. Tests make up 70% of your grade, with only 2 exams and 1 final. His TAs are accessible and he responded quickly to emails, but there was a lack of exam prep and study materials for this course.
Don't take him he's not the nicest when asking for help and doesn't really care if your pass or not. The class is solely based on if you do good on the only 3 exams he gives, it sucks because he's the only micro teacher, good luck…
People are overreacting. He isnt that bad and is accessible outside of class and encourages you to talk to him or the TAs. Yeah its test heavy but I did ok studying the hw and watching the videos. He had practice quizzes for each module and a discussion board for questions. If you struggle ask for help at office hours or on the discussion board
Very test-heavy but if you take the time to study you will do well—an unforgiving grader with no extra credit and little exception to the syllabus. Course material isn't difficult and help is available from TAs and professors.
His lectures are very well organized, insightful, and don't take up a lot of time. Although he is a bit monotone, he's articulate and good at explaining things. However, the 3 Tests are heavily weighted, and he may throw some curveballs, which is annoying but manageable if you study a decent bit. Overall a great professor, IMO better than 3 stars.
Very test heavy. Felt like we could've gotten more resources in order to study for the first 2 tests and that we could've had a much better study guide. Overall not really sure how to study well for this class.
I liked the guy as a person and a teacher. For a REAL format class, his videos were decent in comparison to many other teachers. Very test heavy class but it's not his fault I understand. Cool guy and nice teacher and his videos are short too which is a plus.
This professor is actually the biggest blessing for the economics program at UCF. He explains things very thoroughly and is accessible if you need help. The lectures are pretty short and straight forward compared to other REAL classes. He is a very nice person and good teacher. Content on exams is very similar to other coursework.
Great teacher. Exams are kinda difficult but if you watch the videos and do the homework it is easy to pass the class
Honestly very good professor. He is always available for questions outside of class and the TA's are very helpful when going over tests.
The class was awful but the professor was good. His lectures made sense but the course is just really hard. He said the average for the class has always been C and that was my final grade. (For reference I had an A in every other class)
Professor I. has been my favorite Econ professor yet. He's a young guy and is easily relatable to and can have good conversations. Lectures are intriguing and easy to follow. Would take again no questions asked.
I thought the lectures were pretty understandable, it's not that bad. I got a B- because I didn't apply myself as much as I should have. If you commit to studying and understanding his lectures, the exams are similar to his notes and a higher grade is obtainable. You won't be shocked about content on any exam. He's also a chill young professor.
Professor not good all. Only give class lecture for 15 minutes and then he make the class do a group activity that could easily be done online. Professor is not helpful at all. I reach out several time for help and he not available. TA's somewhat carry same careless attitude as him. Stay away from this course.
Terrible professor. Terrible class. Didn't make any sense why we need to show up to his course for a 20 minute lecture and a small group activity. Professor need to redo his coursework.
The class has essentiallyturned into a biweekly 10-minute check-infollowed by group activities that could easily be completed at homeThese activities are not challenging or insightful;they feel more like busywork meant to fill the time rather than enhance our understanding. It's hard to see the value in attending a class that offers no real lecture
Professor is tough grader. Plenty of HW, exam are HEAVILY GRADED. Professor make student come to class for a group activity that only last 10 minutes for a one hour class. Professor/TA do not help students even they say they will.
His class structure is very weird since it is using the REAL formatting, but man does this class blindside you. I know so many people who've dropped/are dropping it. If you can study for the proctored in person exams, do it. If not, skip this one. HW is not so bad, but if you're lost good luck figuring out why.
The course hard but ok-ish. TA's are not available when needing help, professor not helpful at all. There three exam that are 60% of your grade and it's proctor. You really need to study hard in order to pass this course. You are required to show up bi-weekly for a 10 minute lecture plus a group activity work. The class overall was not fun.
OMG, just done with this course. Three exam plus a final, HW heavy, no help from TA/ Professor. Pass with a 70 in this course but I had to study really hard for that. I only had to show for this course every Tuesday for a 5 minutes lecture/proctor exams/group activities. Glad it done but I don't recommended this course if you want an easy A.
Exam are tough, you need to study hard. Take all quiz practice needed, and most of grade come from exams so do really well on them. I barely pass this course, and TA/Professor are not available when needed so you on you own. You have to show up bi-weekly to class and the rest are obnoxious video online. Good luck!
This course was extremely difficult and honestly frustrating. The TAs were never around when I actually needed help, and the professor provided little to no guidance throughout the semester. The three proctored exams and a final. you're pretty much left to figure everything out on your own.
Make this course online and let us take the protector onsite. Just pointless to come to a class for a lecture and group work. Lame!
Avoid taking this professor if you can. He's not approachable when you need help and gives off the impression that he doesn't really care whether students pass or not. Your entire grade depends on just three exams, which adds a lot of pressure with little support. It's especially frustrating because he's the only instructor teaching Microeconomics.
EVR major- class is way easier than everyone made it out to be. The meetings are kind of terrible, randomly assigned groups and you all complete the same paper but the TA's randomly chose 1 to grade for the entire group. It drove me nuts. Study his reviews and study guides for exams. His lecture videos are helpful. hard to fail
Please take the positive review below with caution — it appears to be more about promoting the professor than reflecting the actual course experience. Grades are primarily based on exams and a group project that takes less than five minutes to complete. Unfortunately, both the professor and TAs are unhelpful and rarely respond to messages.
I'm not sure why UCF considers this professor so highly rated because this class was definitely tougher than average. I studied hard to earn the grade I got, but it wasn't easy. The class met in person every other week, with lectures posted online, and we had a group project. If you can take a different class, I'd recommend it otherwise good luck
Just don't. This class is not worth it, but it was very difficult to pass. Sorry find a different professor or do the transient course at a different university because this professor is not it. It assumes that this is the only professor that teaches this course. If you do, good luck.
This class is tough. 6 class meetings spread out between the semester, all of which are group projects where 1 persons paper gets graded for everyone's. Concepts are not explained well and the class relies on 3 exams which will make or break you. Overall, teacher is not great and relies on his TA's to help students. It's passable, but good luck.
good lectures that make econ as easy as possible to understand. theres only 2 tests that r worth basically ur entire grade but the tests are straight forward and if u know what ur doing u shouldnt get below a C. ppl hate on prof izenwasser but hes honestly great and helpful if u need. as long as u put in the work and study for the tests u can pass!
Absolutely misleading lectures that barely scratch the surface of economics. There are only two exams, but they make up almost your entire grade so if you mess up once, you're done. The tests might seem “straightforward,” but only if you somehow figure everything out on your own, because class doesn't prepare you.
Took this class because of good rating but those are a lies. I'm pretty sure his TA's or himself wrote some positive score to make the class look good. Most lectures are online, and a few minute in person. Exam are heavy graded. Professor has not responded to ant of my messages and TA's are terrible. Pass the class barely.
the professor is nice but the class is so hard. i take notes and watch the lecture videos but do terrible on the exams. and that's after i carry my group in class and finish before most groups. the hw and learning curves are easy but still the concepts are just hard to grasp. take macro.
He seems approachable at first, but don't be fooled. Expectations are unclear, grading is harsh, and exam prep lacks direction. Class materials often contain errors that waste time. Emails are rarely helpful; expect one-word replies or confusing messages full of typos. Be prepared to teach yourself the entire course.
Highly recommend Dr. I for Intermediate Micro. The course is rigorous, but he provides tons of opportunities to learn. His lectures are entertaining and he's very attentive to questions. Absolutely attend his office hours, he's really responsive to questions and can help with problem sets.
Great Professor! I would definitely recommend to take Dr. Izenwasser. He's a caring professor and makes the course entertaining! 100/10 Home-works have unlimited attempts, there's 2 exams and one final.
He and his TAs were super nice and helpful during classes. The content was a little bit difficult, but it was not too hard to understand the concepts. Would definitely take again.
He's great. The homework has unlimited attempts, do it until you get 100% and the exams and quizzes aren't that hard. Just depends on how much you study. Great professor who makes his own video lectures and provides outside resources too.
Just don't do it! The class is much more harder then you think and it sad because he the only professor teaching this course. I suggest to take this course at a different college campus if you ae studying economics. I barely pass this course.
This was by far one of the worst classes I've taken at UCF. The professor doesn't help at all, and neither do the TAs. If you have questions, good luck getting a useful answer. You're basically teaching yourself the entire course. Avoid this class if you can.
The way this course is structured makes it difficult to succeed. However, I do not think that is the professors fault. His lecture videos are useful and he clearly understands what he is teaching. I found the mandatory class activities to be helpful and really reinforced the topics. Overall the course is not that bad you just need to put the effort
The class is set up to learn mostly on your own. Everything is pretty much online content, and he posts lectures on the material. Come to class prepared, and actually keep up with the content (it can accumulate). He is a very nice and approachable person. But it's pretty much learn on your own...
OK professor. He's nice for the most part but the way the class is laid out makes it a little hard. TA's don't answer emails. No extra credit opportunities and exams are a large portion of your grade. He drops the lowest homework (which you'll get 100's on anyways since its unlimited) and class activity. Textbook hw was frustrating at times.
Simply the best professor I've had in UCF in terms of being respectful and professional. His lectures are fun and it makes int
This class is challenging—especially if you're not strong in math. But Professor Izenwasser does a great job making the concepts more digestible. He genuinely cares about students' success and gives partial credit if you can explain the economic intuition behind the math.
Let's start with the fact that there is no sense in it, its video recordings do not carry any significant information. In a word, useless guy. About exams. It doesn't matter how well you know the topic. If your logic is different from the professor's, you will answer incorrectly.
To be honest I struggled more than I'd like to admit. It was a difficult class but pretty straightforward. I liked his lecture videos. The exams are what were difficult. You definitely need to understand every chapter before moving on to the next. Compared to my last eco class, this class was definitely better. Just wish he gave extra credit.
basic micro concepts and will be easier for u if u already took macro cuz there's a lot of similar material. U teach yourself but his lectures r pretty good. He explains stuff and makes it easy to understand. every ALL is graded so dont miss one unless emergency, i forgot to do the makeup ALL and it cooked my grade. class is easy tho
Honestly, 10x better than Nora Underwood. This professor explains everything with simplicity. He cares about his students.
This professor was great. His lecture videos were clear and if you follow along they prepare you well for what to expect on exams. The in-class activities also were a huge help to prepare. This teacher also seemed to care about the students. I would definitely take him again.
I feel like if I understood this class more I could have gotten an A. I took Macro at the same time so maybe that was my own fault. He is young so his examples are easy to understand. . HW takes a long time but has unlimited attempts. So no reason to not get 100%. Exam are easy, questions worded tricky. Had an opportunity to sing for extra credit.
idkw theres so many bad reviews. prof did great at lecturing in a way anyone could understand! i didnt get a topic or two, but i studied the practice quizzes, notes, and study guides and got high Bs on both exams + final. exams are BIG part of yr grade so be prepared to study. hw and in class assignments are easy (attendance mandatory 2)
You'll be teaching yourself. Professor doesn't really teach at all, you only go to class once every 2-3 weeks and work in a group and fill out a worksheet. Very difficult in my opinion, material is hard to understand without being actually taught.
All gripes here are with the course mode. He's a cool guy who did the best with the 1200 students a semester course he was given. The course material is difficult, but the lectures directly reflect the tests. You're 100% able to get a A with the resources he gives you + some effort. You'll be fine, don't be scared by the negative reviews.
This class felt like it was built to run on autopilot with little to no support. The material is hard, and you're pretty much teaching yourself the whole time. The lectures kind of match the tests, but only if you already get the topic. The “resources” aren't that useful either. It's just a frustrating experience overall.
This professor is honestly one of the worst I've had. He doesn't know how to teach, his explanations are confusing, and the TAs are useless when you need help. The entire class feels thrown together with no real structure or support. I had to tech myself to save my overall GPA. Save yourself the stress and take literally anyone else if you can.
I genuinely don't understand why this class isn't fully online. Almost all of my other courses offer an online option, yet this is the one class that requires me to come in person bi-weekly and only for a few minutes lecture. UCF really needs to reconsider how they structure classes like this.
Not a fan of this class at all. The bi-weekly in-person lectures feel pointless, and the online videos don't explain things well. The exams are tough, and the homework is confusing. TAs are rarely available or helpful when you need support. If you can, avoid this class.
It was definitely a difficult class, however his lectures and practice questions were helpful. I didn't study for one test and it brought my grade down. So you definitely can't fail any tests or assignments. But overall he explained the concepts pretty well. Liked him better than my macro teacher. I would say just don't get behind on any chapter.
I would not recommend taking this professor for economics. It's extremely frustrating trying to get clarification on difficult material with no reliable help from the professor or the TAs. If you have the option, I highly suggest taking this course at Valencia College or another university where the instructors are more engaged and supportive.
I'm honestly shocked that UCF doesn't offer an online version of this economics course. The professor is barely available, never answers emails, and provides little to no real help when you're struggling. The structure of the class is outdated and frustrating. This version of the class sucks—plain and simple.
He explains neatly but you need to know and understand every little thing he says because everything is going to be tested. Super difficult class and he is not really caring about you.
The comments below are accurate. I had to withdraw from this course because the professor relied heavily on exams, and much of the material he provided did not align with what was actually tested. The in-person meetings felt unnecessary, as they typically lasted only 10 to 20 minutes. Take the a different course if you can.
I'm not sure why some of the other comments here rate him so poorly. Honestly the class is pretty easy if you just watch his videos and put a small amount of effort into paying attention. The tests were cake if you just do your part as a student and watch the his videos and go through the content he provides.
People just don't want to study! Don't let reviews scare you; this guy was actually really good. Amazing resources/videos and tests were very similar to them. TAs all had insane god complex's tho. Overall ,chill class is heavily recommended
Professor really nice, but just a tough grader. I decide to check out the rate my professor page just to see he review and most of them are true. You will have three exams that will determine your grade, and yea HW is given with very little impact on your grade. There will be group activates that will require you to come into class.
ummmm I wish I took another professor.
I have never dealt with a less inspired professor. Expect him to be unreliable when it comes to email responses. If you do get a response it will be patronizing and entirely unhelpful.
The professor appears to show little concern for the students. While the teaching assistants are adequate, they seem to be favored by the professor. I have never found a course more frustrating, largely due to the professor's consistent unwillingness to provide assistance.
UCF deserves professors who are genuinely invested in their students' success. Unfortunately, this professor has shown little regard for student learning or engagement. It feels less like an educational experience and more like a business transaction, where we're paying out of pocket only to be unfairly judged. Students deserve better.
I recently checked Rate My Professor, and I have to say much of the feedback is accurate. The in-person class sessions are brief and mainly focused on group work, while most of the lectures are posted online. The exams are extremely challenging, and the quizzes can be unpredictable. Stay on top of the material and study consistently to succeed.
I don't understand why there are so many horrible reviews. Is he the best professor? No. But if you read the textbook and watch his videos, and spend at least one day studying for each exam, I don't see how you could not do well in the class. I would prefer not to have this professor again, but he is far from the worst I've had.
Best economics teacher I have had at UCF, and def better than Nora Underwood!! His videos are amazing and correlate directly to the tests. Anyone complaining just didn't study
I barely passed the course. The professor was not very effective or responsive—emails often went unanswered. While the homework assignments were manageable and the practice quizzes helped a bit, they didn't reflect the actual exams. The exams and group work made up a large portion of the grade.
My flight was delayed and he wouldn't let me take the test. Do not have this teacher.
Course was alright but a little tough, I highly recommend taking advantage of all the resources such as professor's office hours to help with homework, etc. The TAs were amazing and there's a lot of textbook reading and modules along with videos. I think the worksheets help a lot and the exam review material as well.
I really enjoyed this class. I took it over summer, so fitting everything in 6 weeks is a little tough. Dr. I was great though, he kept the in-class assignments/lectures engaging, and made all criteria and expectations for the class and exams clear. I think if your willing to put a little bit of work in, he makes it as easy as possible to succeed.
This class was okay. Tests and the final exam are heavily weighted. However, if you watch the lecture videos and do the module quizzes for each chapter you should do well in his class. He gives a little extra credit at the end to help your grade, don't wait till last minute to study because there is a lot of information in his lecture videos.
Tests are worth 65% of the grade (2 20% and the final is cumulative worth 25%). Took this class during summer b and it was pretty easy. You must watch the lecture videos and must show up to meetings. Lowest homework grade is dropped and meeting score. He responds to emails if they're not about boosting grades. It's an easy course for bus majors.
The professor is largely unresponsive to emails and provides minimal support with homework. Scheduling a meeting was difficult, and the exams were extremely challenging. I would recommend considering other options if you're looking for a more accessible and supportive instructor.
I should've look at the ratings before start this course. I had straight A's and this course drop me quickly to a C. Not recommended.
Seriously, just make this course remote. I'm done wasting half my day dragging myself to class every two weeks for a stupid five-minute group assignment. Like, it's not rocket science—get real.
He is a great professor, who really cares about his students. He can be tough and strict but he does his best to be as helpful as possible. He always responded to emails within a reasonable time. Class is test-heavy. Make sure to watch the videos and do the assignments as they can really teach you and help your grade.
The class is very test heavy so be prepared to be familiar with the content. However, there was a practice test and outline of what was on the test that made it easier. If you are confused in the class, I recommend taking advantage of the TA's during class. As long as you pay attention to the videos and study for the test you should be fine.
There were tedious parts, but it was not that difficult of a class. In class assignments were cake, homework did not take too long, and if you studied for the exams they were not that bad. The modules were easy to follow, and the textbook explained concepts well. If you aren't lazy then pay no mind to the negative reviews, they don't apply to you.
The class is not that Gard but the resource for study for exam is so bad! There is not enough information but in the same time it's a really test heavy course. THIS GUY NEED TO GIVE US A BETTER STUDY GUIDE WITH SOLUTION!!!!!
If you read the textbook and watch the videos you should be fine. the homework is not that bad, you should be able to do each assignment in a reasonable amount of time and they are relatively easy too. also, do study for the exams because those are weighted heavily and can be challenging if you don't study. lastly, take advantage of the TA's.
Most of these "postive" comments seemed like their coming from the professor or his TA's. I wouldn't take his course. I had to withdraw from the course because it become impossible for me to be in a class where his "videos/HW's" help with the exam. Good luck if you taking this course.
Im going to talk to the dean. That how bad this course is.
The other reviews on this professor are definitely exaggerating. Was he the best professor I have ever had? Definitely not. But the class was not extremely difficult and I thought the ALL sessions were somewhat productive. He really does not make the class harder than it has to be, and I thought the exams were very straightforward.
Great lecturer. - he makes it really interesting. But you have to study. If you don't want to do the work, then don't take this class.
Very simple class schedule with about 3 short videos and about 2 assignments a week to do and occasionally a class meeting that is very simple. Honestly pretty easy class and would do it again.
Honestly a great professor, class covers a lot of content that you wouldn't really understand unless you attend class. Only grades are quizzes every couple of weeks and three exams. Lectures are actually great and interesting, very friendly guy as well.
I dedicated time to studying and completed all of the homework and quizzes; however, the material covered on the exam did not align with what we were given to prepare with. Because of this, I understand why there are more negative comments than positive ones regarding the course.
My only "A-" instead of an "A" out of every business class I've ever taken! WAY too tough grading REAL assignments. Most professors allow TA checks in-class or another form of leniency to prevent good students being punished by getting a bad group. Not this guy. Plus, there were exam questions that contradicted what was taught in macro!
I would much rather complete the work online and take the tests on campus, but instead we're required to show up biweekly for assignments that don't even feel like real projects. For the amount of money we're paying, the school seriously needs to hire better instructors and improve the overall quality of the course experience.
Was a straight A student but he brought me down to a C…. So here how I really feel about him.. middle finger all the way!
Your experience can vary a lot depending on the group you're assigned unfortunately, I ended up in a group where I had to do most of the work myself. The course is also very test-heavy, so doing poorly on even one exam can significantly hurt your grade. You might consider taking a transfer course at another college.
There are six class meetings a semester and unfortunately how well you do in them really depends on the competency of your group. Content wise the course is fine and the exams surprise you even when you work through the study guide fully. Just look over / do your notes before the class meeting and pray that another group member has done the same
I'm glad this was the only class I had to take this semester. The course itself is alright, but it does involve group work. Honestly, I wish it were fully online because going to campus for just a few minutes isn't worth the drive or the parking costs. Overall, the professor is a tough grader when it comes to exams. Good luck!
Because of the format of this class, I was rarely in class with Izenwasser, but the class was very reasonable as long as you watch the lecture videos, give effort, and follow along. The tests are weighted heavily, but I always felt prepared for them. The group assignments were not my favorite, but he tried his best to make the class good.
Please avoid him. He is so young but evil. I was fighting for my life
Um really confused by these bad reviews Was he the best, no, but the course was easy as long as u watch his videos and pay attention I felt the exams were heavily aligned w the study guides he posted and were very reasonable He strictly follows the syllabus where if u miss something thats it, but just dont miss anything and your grade will be good
If you take this class, you may ended up not getting the grade you want. Yes, lots of work is involve, but my two cent is that the HW he give us DOES NOT ALIGN with his exams, and the exam are 40% of you grade. so if you failed one, that it, you better pray you get a better grade next round otherwise you failed the whole course.
Only complaint I have is that there is absolutely zero study materials for exams or even the final. The only resources to study are the modules that you already watch when taking the course. Would be very helpful if we got a study guide or at least some sort of outline as to what would be on the test with some practice questions.
Loved him. The assignments actually helped me learn and I liked that the tests were not so math heavy. Great professor.
He is not the worst but I would never take his class again. Be honest his video of the content are easy to understand and helpful but I DO NOT KNOW how to prepared his exam. He is a good person and kind of how to teach the class but just impossible to get a good grade because is so hard to do good on the exam.
Wasnt a great prof, but his lecture videos were good. Dont trust some of these reviews bc theyre coming from students who dont pay attention to anything. There are study guides w/ practice problems and a file w/ just practice problems posted for every exam. Without fail, on every exam ive seen some of the same problems that were on the study guide.
He is a good professor. This class is pretty easy. If you have a good grasp of Econ concepts, then you'll do fine. There is not much math. You have learning exercises and quizzes during the semester, which outline what the midterm and final will be like.
He has so many students that he can't give in person classes so he gives videos of lectures, not my style and doing a "group project" every 2-3 weeks doesn't make up for that
Very easy professor. I have no idea why he has such bad ratings, all you have to do is take the notes and show up to class 6 times for the entire semester. It's not his fault how the class is set up that's just the business program for you. Exams are very fair and closely based off of the notes, homework, and practice quizzes.
Really fun professor who cares about the material he teaches. Not as math-heavy as other econ classes, but should still attend the lectures. His quizzes and the midterm are relatively straightforward, but his final was really difficult & he didn't give us enough time to take it either.
I Loved this professor, assignments, and Exams were easy as long as you put in effort. His video lectures are very helpful. He does a good job of explaining things and is also very helpful in class meetings. 10/10 recommend.
Great lecturer and very comfortable with technology. I didn't need to contact him, so I can't speak on communication, but he posts frequent announcements and is easy to reach during class. He explains concepts clearly. Exams are tough, but other assignments and participation are easy. His grading scale is generous.
He is the first professor I have had here that genuinely made a business class fun. He explains the content so clearly in a way that is understandable and truly wants to see you do well in his class. The content is slightly challenging but with some hard work it is very doable. Exams are very similar to the homework/lectures.
Perfectly average student who does homework assignments and studies last minute before the test: The in-class assignments are short and recap information. Super test heavy but his online materials and videos are pretty helpful. Final is hard but he provides a curve and extra credit. Nice guy and I found his lectures insightful and entertaining.
