Great Professor! He made the class fun. Attendance is mandoatory if you want the extra points. Very fair with grading. He does not accept late work, so make sure you are on time. took him for the summer so we really didn't use the textbook. Had 5 exams, 3 were take home, 2 in class,he drops the lowest of the take home. Like I said very fair!

Probably one of the best Professors/Teachers I've ever had. He understand the material and is able to teach it. Attendance is not mandatory for lecture but it is for Labs. Though the Lectures are very helpful and he goes over topics and designs questions similar to the ones on the exam. He is usually able to stay after class to go over material.

Makes physics very relatable and easy to understand but you still have to put in work to really understand the material.

Unprofessional and unserious. Knows material but he is unclear, gets mad and makes fun of you for not knowing answers. Thinks his class is a comedy show, but he isn't funny at all. He knows his stuff tho, intelligent guy...

Dr. Gibert is the best, hands down. He is constantly engaged with the class and he goes around the room from group to group, helping you with whatever you need. The one big requirement is that you show up on time, because he cares about punctuality the most. He drops the lowest grade and lets you make up one lab, so he's really generous. 10/10.

At the beginning I was so confused because his methodology is just different, but once I started getting it I really liked it. His classes are engaging and you will never miss your money, class is until the time it is supposed to end always. He makes sure to use his time wisely for you to learn

I took him for 2048 last semester and have him for 2049 right now. He explains very deeply and is a great teacher, I just suck at physics. I've never had to work so hard for an A in my entire life. Your grade is 100% tests. The homework is optional and replaces your lowest midterm grade (I had to do it to get an A).

He really knows. He is the best professor you will ever have. You will learn whether you want to or not. He is one of those professors who want to make you a better person and student at the same time. He is very funny, and his classes are super funny and enjoyable. Look for the FIU ratings, too; they love him there. One hw substitute one test.

His style of teaching is a little more involved. He calls on random students, expecting them to get the questions wrong so he can explain it. He often demonstrates the concepts through short experiments, which is a plus. Will drop the lowest exam grade for homework grade. Homework is due at the end of the course and exams are moderately difficult.

Literally one of the best professors I've ever had. If you actually care about learning and applying that knowledge this is the right guy for you. His lectures are informative and he gives exam recitations for you to practice before the real exam. This guy cares about you as a human being and as a student, and he will make sure you're learning.

Professor Gibert is a Great physics professor/ Teacher. This is coming from somebody who failed 3 test out of the four for his physics 2 class. go to each class, pay attention and dedicate time outside to re-read concepts and chapters. Fair warning he uses mymathlab for the homework, drops lowest test and replaces it with the homework.Good lectures

I took Professor Gilbert for PHY 1025 Summer A (6 weeks), and this course was excellent! Even though it was a short and intense term, Professor Gilbert explained everything clearly and made the material very engaging. The pace was fast, but his teaching style made it manageable and even enjoyable. Highly recommend him for anyone taking this course!

He is awesome. He truly cares about students. His lectures are not only funny but very informative. He prepares you well for the exams and provides recitations that are almost exactly like the tests; he even gives you so many extra points on the exams just for reviewing it with him. He even told us to give him a bad RMP as a joke! Take him!
