Okay. Guevara is an easy teacher. I'd recommend him, but let me tell you. He's HELLUH blunt! One group project, an essay and an oral presentation. ALL EASY STUFF! All his lectures are out of the book, but his way of puttin it is more understandable....

MR. GUEVARA IS A CRACK UP, VERY BLUNT AND LOVES TO LECTURE. FOR THIS CLASS I DIN'T EVEN TAKE NOTES, BUT I DO RECOMMEND IT. IN MY OPINION, HE HARDLY EMPHASIZES ON THE TEXTBOOK. HE TEACHING IS MOSTLY BASED ON HIS PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE. GOOD TEACHER OVERALL.

Half of the class is Hispanic, but everyone was really nice if we had to work together on discussions. We watched films & wrote on them. Few essays & little reading from what I remember. Just participate in class. This was an easy A class back in 2000!

Guevara is a good teacher. He funny and very clear. You can read the books if you want, but i didnt read them. Most of the class is lecture, opinions, and ethics. Test are fair and easy, but most of all he let you off class early. take him hes a good one.

The easiest teacher I have ever taken. Every day he let us out an hour early, and although his class was completely pointless, it was nice to get credit for just coming to class.

This teacher is awesome. He knows what he is talking about and is very adamant about teaching. He lectures and shows videos most of the time and lets his class out early every week.

kinda agree with the last guy, Guevara is kinda tough and unclear, rants alot. test taken straight from the book. i studied hard and still got a b. he's not afraid to fail anyone.

He's a nice guy, highly recommend him. He knows his stuff and class is pretty interesting overall. He almost always lets us out early too. :)

hes a cool teacher. he let us out early almost all the time. his tests are directly from the book. sometimes his powerpoints can be boring, but he is funny and his class overall is fun.

I don't get what everyone's complaining about. The class was pretty easy, just one paper, a midterm (he gives the answers to 5 questions) and final that was straight out of the book and an easy presentation on culture that you don't belong to. offers extra credit and ALWAYS lets class out early.

This teacher is great! his class is only a half an hour, you get two weeks that are optional to even go to class because its group projects so just get it done early and just make sure you turn in everything on time and youll get an A!

Interesting, easy class. You get to get out of class early. All you got to do is read the txt book for the mid-term and finals. As for the presentations, you ask him if you need any help. He's very helpful.

This class was a breeze! You ALWAYS get out of class early, gives a study guide to final and midterm PLUS 10 MC and T/F free bees. Paper and group project are also easy plus he gives you so much time to work on them. Take it and you'll have to be completely stupid to not get an A.

I am in this class now and apparently nearly everyone in the course thinks that "easy" means the same thing as "no work." This is not the case. It was painful listening to group projects where people did the bare minimum to get by, and Prof. Guevara had no hesitation calling the groups on the carpet when their work was shoddy. This is college!

Mr. Guevara is a REALLY nice instructor.He basically lectures for the first 5 min. of class and then we watch Chicano art,or Chicano movie clips everyday. There is 1 easy take home midterm (essay) & and take home final.Its really really easy. As long as you turn in your work you'll pass. I really recommend this course if you need electives.

REALLY GOOD TEACHER IN EXPLAININGHIS STUFF, HELL START CLASS RGHT AWAY AND LECTURE FOR THE 1ST 30 MIN AND WHEN HES DONE U COULD LEAVE NO MATTER HOW EARLY IT IS, WE WATCH A LOT OF MOVIES IN HIS CLASS, PLUS WE GET A TAKE HOME MIDTERM AND FINAL AND FOR THE WHOLE QUARTER WE ONLY GET ONE ASSINGMENT THAT IS DUE AT THE END OF THE YEAR, REALLY RECOMMEND 4

Wow hes easy. BUT u need 2show up to class to know what is going on and turn in everything he asks you. He offers extra credit too. There were alot of people that dropped but they really shouldn't have, just do the work &even tho you didnt do good on the exams the projects will cover it, you can get at least a B if u didnt do so good on the exams

Prof. Guevara is great. I am done with De Anza and remember him as one of the teachers from whom I learned the most. TIPS: you have to attend class, show up on time, "be quiet" during his lectures, and hand in all projects. Trust me, if you do everything he ask you and you study for the (one) midterm and final, you'll get an easy A. Take him.

Pretty disorganized. MC/TF or take home exam (yr choice) for midterm/final. one paper, one presentation and one group project. three extra credit. leave classroom 20 mins early everyday. Easy A

Easy class, interesting teacher. Assignments are few and far between-there are only about 4-5 total for the entire quarter, one of which is the final exam. You will learn a lot in this class if you show up and take notes. If you are in the class for an easy A (and not because you want to learn about Chicano culture)then you will be bored to tears.

he was pretty easy going. Got out of class early most of the time. Didn't have a lot of homework but do have to do 2 presentation ..one group and individual. overall an interesting class

I was surprised i got an A in the class! i did the extra credit, and handed all my things in on time, which i think saved me.

Good guy. Boring Classes. I had a friend who never went to class and he would get all the assignments from me and he passed with an A. SO find someone! Also there are only 3 assignments I believe. Books are useless. Dont buy any!

This class was super easy. It met once a week and I went only 4 times the whole quarter. He sends a lot of e-mails, and even of the powerpoints he had inside class. Work is tedious - Midterm he allows you to choose what you want to do (multiple choice vs. 3 3 page essays) and the final was 4 4 page essays then we had to do 2 art critiques. Easy A

this is a very lazy teacher. hardly any assignments are given (he probably figures more work for us means more work for him). too many movies, limited lecture. if u want a super easy A with no gaining of knowledge, he is your man.

I really enjoyed Prof. Guevara's class. He is extremely knowledgeable and his lectures were very informative. I liked his use of multimedia. He does use a lot of Spanish in class and if you're not a native speaker it could be a little challenging. Overall, I would definitely take another class of his. Great teacher!

Great teacher and very fair. A good person & very intelligent. His classes can get a little too laidback but that's a good thing.

He was very kick back and was extremely easy. He never really gave us homework or made us do in class assignments. We did however get lectures here and there but watched movies most of the time. He also always let us out early (I took his night class). Easy A!!

i love this guy. he's the reason why i am switching my major. teaches very well.

I enjoy Mr. Guevara's class. First, I thought it was a boring class, but wow his very engaging. He has some funny jokes. He explains the information very well. The questions are clear and concise. I would recommend taking this class if you need ICS. If he taught other classes I need I would. I would highly recommend.

Super easy class! Took him in the summer, 1 speech, 1 test, 1 final and 1 group project. He's makes this class interesting and fun.

Easy teacher theres no attendances mandatory the grade for this class is your midterm and final which was all take home essays easy take him!

sometimes he can be a bit vague about assignments. he's quite quiet and not exactly enthusiastic about the class. music, films, art, and poetry you gain from the class is interesting and beautiful. would watch some of the films on my free time.

Received an A for his class. One homework assignment, one take home or in class midterm, and one take home final. Watched a ton of movies and read some poems and short stories. No homework and NO USE OF TEXTBOOK! took role only the first week of class. very laid back guy. VERY EASY CLASS!!!!

watched a movie EVERYDAY, for the first couple of assignments its helpful to read the book, but im sure you can copy stuff from online and get away with it..had about 4 take home assignments and 1 final. the midterm was super easy. CHILL CLASS TAKE FOR EASY A

Professor Guevara is awesome! He taught Intercultural Communication Skills (ICS 7). I highly recommend this teacher! He's not too easy nor too hard on the students. You just have to pay attention. Don't worry, he does his best to keep you awake!

Watched video clips the whole time(sometimes VERY boring). 1 midterm,1 take home final. Study guide helps so you know what to expect. A friend told me not to buy the books (3) but come to find out the tests are all based on books. Had to buy them. Easy A if you read books.

Easy class. Watch movies all the time. 1 midterm, 4 take home assignments. Class was supposed to be 3 hours long, would only give lecture(or watch movies) for and hour then we were released.

EASY A. I dropped out my first year because I forgot to do a project. He emailed me and reminded me of a new course he was holding (year later). On the first day I told him I made it through most of the last course and all he had me do was write a paper about a George Lopez stand up LOL. I received an A off that. Didn't have to go to any classes..

He's a really nice guy, and his class is easy and pleasant. I really did learn a lot about chicano history. He let us choose if we wanted an inclass or take home midterm and we had a take home final. TAKE THIS CLASS

Was an easy class. Just go to class, read each chapter, get the vocab down and do extra credit. its quite easy!!!Got an A

Average. As long as you put in a little effort, you'll get a good grade in this class. He seems passionate about his topic, but is also passionate about disciplining students if you're out of line. Make sure to turn everything in on time!

Easy A - lots of writing, no mandatory tests. He encourages you to relax and not take notes during his fast-paced lectures, which is kinda cool. All slides are posted online and taking this FT with other classes wasn't difficult. Not all that interesting of a subject, but he did a good job of making it into one.

The guy is really cool. He let me use an earlier edition of the text. Saved some $$, I highly recommend him.

2 finals (midterm & final) that is all you have to do. No notes needed to take. Essay class. No stress=No struggle.

Easy "A" just show up to lectures and do the study guides. He tends to go fast during lectures so don't even attempt to take notes, all lectures/Videos are eventually posted online for you to review before a test. He never gives back graded tests tho so you'll never know what you got right or wrong. HE WILL NOT GIVE YOU THE TEST IF YOU'RE LATE!

He was a good teacher! Basically just show up and pay attention to the slides, you do not have to take notes. The midterm was multiple choice and I just goggled the terms, made flash cards and got an A. I did the same thing for the final. The written assignments are a piece of cake. Some lectures are boring but over all a very chill class.

Class required me to work beyond the lecture, not spoon-feed.
