I took this class as a miniterm with only about 16 classes to attend and a few were holidays. He is the bomb! He knows what hes taking about. Goes by powerpoints which then puts on a website for you to get. 4 quizzes(20 ?), midterm and final. EVERYTHING on ppt. AND let us use notes for mid/final! <3

He is very considerate because himself is a student so he understands us well. He is a great person and the class is not hard at all. He is cool and you'll prob relate yourself with him. 4 20 quest. quizzes, one midterm and one final which in our class are open notes (i dont think all are, i have a mini-term) and he actually took off a presentation

Best history professor at MDC!!! He's super cool, funny and really knows his stuff. I hated history before, but now love it! He uses PowerPoint and video clips along with lectures, and his exams are easy (if you take notes). This is how ALL profs should be. Take his classes!!!

The Best!!! Prof M is extremely knowledgeable in many areas (background in history and international relations), entertaining and incredibly funny. Grading is fair and tests are a breeze if you pay attention and take notes. Topics are always relevant to real world - not just theories. Best prof at MDC hands down!

this is by far the best teacher i have ever had, 3 quizes 20 q each and each online that you can do at home, one midterm and one final each a piece of cake. Summer term classes are longer but He is super funny and really cares about the students. the subject does get boring but come on its history lol i would take him again if i could!!!! :)

This is definitely a class anyone would enjoy taking. He makes it interesting and doesn't give you a hard time. It is Angel enhanced and he tells you everything straight to the point. Easy A just do all the quizzes and "study". You will not regret it!

Very informative professor and easy, entertaining class. No homework, just quizzes online. Provides you with the powerpoints used for lectures unless you have 3+ absences, so basically attendance is mandatory if you want the answers to the quizzes on hand. Definitely recommend

Professor Malagon is AMAZING. His class is very interesting and he is extremely knowledgable about the topics he lectures. He is very strict about attendance & restricts access to lectures after 3 absences. No cell phone use in his class. Do your self a favor and take his class. His assignments aren't difficult if you pay attention during lectures.

Great professor! Easy A. He gives 4 quizzes which are 20 questions each online and 2 exams 1 online and one in class. The exams are 50 questions and 4050 questions are the same questions from the quizzes and 10 new questions. YOU MUST ATTEND CLASS or he will lock you out from his pp lectures online. More than 3 absences and he will drop you ASAP

Prof. Malagon's Social Environment class is awesome! He holds advanced degrees in both History and National Security, so he is very knowledgeable in various disciplines, especially socio-historical processes. He encourages debate of complex or controversial issues, but you must back up statements with reputable data.

He is an awesome teacher. All the test are online(4 quizzes and midterm) and final is in class but can have HAND written notes with you. He is very clear with what you need to know. I'm glad i had the opportunity to be in his class.

Professor Malagon's personality matched with his sense of style will leave you in awe. You'll walk out thinking "Did I just go through a history class or a comedy show?" The answer is a unique combination of both. His goal is for students to learn and that's exactly what you'll do in this class. You would have to TRY to get an F to receive one.

Where do I begin with this guy? He's one of the best professors I've taken at Dade. He's hilarious, very entertaining, and his lectures are fun and clear to understand! Professor Malagon is one of the best! He teaches you in a way that engages you and does not make it boring. He is very laid back but is still strict. I learned a lot from him!! don't skip class and you'll pass.

He's the best Professor ever all you have to do is show up and listen and write down the highlighted info on his powerpoints (he uploads them to blackboard) He tells stories,shows video's, jokes with students and He doesn't require you to know specific dates which is awesome. Very fun class I even found myself wishing it was longer by the end.

Great lectures, but can get off topic sometimes. Very funny as long as you are adult enough to handle coarse language. If you come when you're supposed to, there is no excuses to fail this class.

He is someone that modern day millennials should try to be like. He really knows his stuff, and the guy is like James Brown level cool. He opened my eyes to things about real world political issues, and has helped me grow my political view. The tests are easy. If you miss 3 classes you cant use the power points. Hilarious guy. Don't believe the "awful" posts; Prof. M is one of the kindest, most engaging professors at MDC. His lectures are thought-provoking and often humorous. But if you text or sleep in class, he'll ask you to leave. Easy class if you follow the rules.

Professor Malagons lectures are very interesting and fun. He shows us videos on topics we are covering in class to help us understand the material better. Quizzes are on Blackboard and he sends us PowerPoints to help us study for the quizzes. I like his lectures because I agree with many of the things he talks about (world issues and whatnot).

The class was super easy, 4 quizzes, midterm, and final all on blackboard. Sends you PowerPoints for all the tests. Attendance is mandatory!!! He will drop you at a certain amount of absences in a heart beat. He doesnt play with attendance but a super nice guy.

The professor is easy going. Took online and his class lectures were great, he's knowledgeable and engaging. I didn't buy the textbook, used the chapter PowerPoints because it had so much info. Not many assignments, clear grading criteria. My advice: Don't miss a class, PARTICIPATE, and follow the assignment instructions.

REMOTE CLASS-Very easy and clear class. Had 3 homework that we had until the end of the semester to do. 1 very easy midterm if you read the powerpoints and same for the final. Take this class for an A and to learn if you listen in class. He is also smart and funny.

Prof Malagon is amazing! I'm taking my third class with him this upcoming semester. I took CCJ and Terrorism with him. You do have homework, its very simple trust me. He is the best prof I've had at mdc. Very funny, cares about students, has a lot of experience and knowledge, understands his students and stress from other classes.

His class consist of a lecture the whole class, he could end class early if he finishes. 3 exams, and two homework assignments. Attendance is required, he lets you miss three days, and thats it. Extremely funny and great lectures, I took him for AMH 2020 online, he also gives study guides for the exams, and homeworks are super easy. No textbook.

Professor Malagon is amazing. He doesn't ask for much besides your attention and respect. Attendance is highly appreciated by him. Overall this class is very easy, especially when it comes to your exams, I would just focus as much as possible on putting maximum effort into your final project and be creative as possible.

Professor Malagon does a great job teaching his class and makes it easy for his students to learn about a subject he truly cares about. As a history major, I couldn't recommend his class enough. He's very knowledgeable and his class is very lighthearted. PowerPoint heavy but his lectures aren't boring and he shows many videos based on the topics he covers. Little to no homework, and the work is easy. This is my first semester at Miami Dade College and I already love the class. Professor is very entertaining, very good at getting the point or lesson across, and he cares about his students a lot to lead them towards success. A very good professor and I highly recommend you choose him as your professor.

Wish all teachers were like him, very passionate about what he teaches, homeworks were long but nothing you couldn't handle if people say the class is easy in person its even easier online would recommend taking the class online if you want, overall a great professor, funny and replies back as fast as he can to emails.

This class was very easy. All assignments were done through McGraw. There was a midterm and final on Canvas, but they were not proctored. He's very passionate in his lectures. He would sometimes put up a Zoom poll for participation points, but you didn't have to get the answer right for credit, you just needed to answer it.
