jose osorio is a great professor. he explains things slow and clearly so students can understand the material better. gives review sheets before the test and goes over it. highly recommended for students who want to take spanish. he is a really cool professor and makes the class fun.

class is easy, test are the same as review sheets. Plus all the test are atually pretty the same .

Jose Osorio has a really intresting personality outside the classroom and engages very well with the students. Even the workload was lot and the grammar as well as sentence structring can be quite diffcult. Jose always does a review before the exam and makes sure that the students are learning the material. Recommended for students taking Spanish.

This professor really know his stuff since he speaks the spanish language rather well.Even though there is homework in the class, he does it to help the students learn the material. There are three exams and commits to helping students becoming bilingual. Very friendly and sociable outside the classroom.

Teacher knows how to teach Spanish , gives extra work but can stay a bit offfocus and ramble. One of the better professors ,to pass the class and do well just show effort and do assignements and keep a good rap with teacher , atleast try to know part of the material for ex writing about a trip on the test. Doesn't focus/penalize to much on tests.

A really cool professor when you get to know him. Even Osorio can sometimes be a bit difficult to understand because of the accent, but he sure knows his stuff rather well.

A really wonderful class that I felt helped students become better language speakers.I will admit that there was a lot of work, but Jose does it to help the students learn the material. Only three exams and a final which is not too diffcult. Really friendly professor and easy to get along with.

One of the best professor. i learned more in his class than i did in LS-111..Hint, the review sheet he gives you before the exams know everything on it because more of it are on the exam. Do homework and participate in class. Oh go to the spanish lab. he gives points for everything. All i can say he is great and nice. Only the lazy ones complains

However says that Jose Osorio is hard must be out of their damn minds. I actually found his teaching to be rather effective and helpful. Yeah he has an accent and all but who cares, since he does help the students out. There is a lot of work but it is benefical. Maybe the students who have a hard time should go for tutoring instead of being lazy.

I also agree that I learned a lot more material than I did in LS-111. Jose makes the material rather easy to grasp and even takes the time to help students. A very generous man that also does review for the exams which help a lot. He is not a very strict teacher, but just come to class, go to the lab, and do the homework and guaranteed a grade.

Some people will have a hard time understanding what Osorio says because of his accent. He will explain the material again if you have a hard time understanding it. It sucks that the Labs count for the class, but it is really easy. I found him to be one of the better spanish teachers around.

I would highly recommend for spanish. Very helpful. He gives a lot of lab assignments but its all worth it at the end.

I will admit that my spanish did improve while taking the class. It is too bad that I don't remember a lot of the material now. Osorio does give a lot of Homework, but it is good practice. He is very patient and the exams are not really that hard.

I actually enjoyed this class. I will admit that the homework has a lot, but he is extremely helpful. A very friendly person that is sociable. I would recommend taking him, since you learn a lot in his class.

He is very respectful, fun, helpful and clear professor. Osorio is very clear when he teaches, use textbook everyday and you MUST participate in his class. He hates cellphones. Homeworks are crucial, participation and attendance. He will tell you when you are wrong on your test, gave you four test and dropped the lowest grade. Awesome professor!!

The best Spanish professor @ QCC. I took him for both 111 & 112 & received both As. Professor Osorio really understands his students; he is helpful, patient, & understanding. I actually learned how to speak spanish. He requires the txt book because we use it in class everyday. He doesnt check hw but he will call on you. Take him, u wont regret it.

I wish that I would have taken him for LS 111 since he is a fantastic teacher with a great personality. I love how he is patient with his students and easy to get along with.

I will admit that Jose was a great dancer since he taught the class rather well and broke it down for those not native in spanish to understand it. He does have an accent but it is easy to understand what he is saying.

AMAZING PROFESSOR! he is funny! the labs are easy! And you do learn alot from him! There are 4 tests, he throws out the one with the lowest grade. Got an A- for his class. Wanted to take him for 112 but he's not teaching that class this spring so I'll wait until the fall :) !

Whatever you do, don't cheat in front of him during an exam since he will catch you and humilate u if you do. Other than that, a great man. Wish I had him for more spanish classes.

Hands down the best spanish professor in QCC. Very understanding and helpful, will make you learn this subject better than you thought you would. Makes the learning process fun with his humor and interaction, tests are very fair and he is a lenient grader. Take him you will not regret, just hurry because all his classes fill quicker than any other

I do wish that I would have take Jose Osorio for Spanish 111 since I didn't realize what a great professor that he was. I loved his approach towards breaking down language in ways that people could understand. He was also a good listener and a great friend.

Professor Osorio is the best! If you didn't pass its definitely on your part, the material is extremely easy! I loved this class, and the way he taught it, wanted to take 112 with him but he doesn't teach it in the Spring. He's great, just pay attention, and attend class. I was absent a couple times which is the only reason why my grade was lowered

he's an excellent professor. although you are required to do work. if Spanish is not your first language do not take this class. we had to read 5 books throughout the semester. each one of them was about 130 pages. you must read them because there is a test for every book. in general good class, interesting and he is very helpful

He's a very good professor. Attendance is mandatory. Pretty lenient with the grade. Doesn't give help outside of class but covers pretty much everything in class. Want you to go to the learning center if you need help outside of class. Test is almost the same as the review sheet. Everything for test you'll learn in class. If you fail its your fault

Definitely an awesome and well-rounded teacher. If you are willing to put in 100% effort, expect to get good grades and his support. I barely knew Spanish and now I can start conversations. No cell phones allowed at all; oh well I recommended him x1000 as he is going to be my LS112 professor. Just do your work(including Wiley) and you'll be okay

Great teacher! Absolutely clear on objectives and allows new learners of Spanish to enjoy learning the language. Respects the students and their efforts. Tests are not hard if you study preview material. Book is a must!

Professor Osorio would help you learn Spanish, he is a great teacher, fair grader, an excellent inspirational person. I have enjoyed every class with him for 2 semesters. Study, read, pay attention, participate, you will not have a single problem. He respects students, and give them chances to succeed.

Prof Osorio is a nice but when he writes on the board he kind of rushes and im stuck there like what was the board? learning a new language is not easy and he is a fair grader he does not have a review sheet for this class that the only problems i have. over all hes good.

Prof. Osorio Is a great Professor I found he tries his best with the short time he had to present all the work. I sat in the front to make sure i understood the work, Its not an easy course but if you follow, study and just pay attention you will pass the class!! He is not a tough grader he helps you understand the work just follow and DO HW

He has to rush through very intense material sitting in the front hellps but it is very hard you must have time to study especially if taken in the summer SHOULD B UR only cls if u do!! He tries to explain everything goes over everything some is a bit vague so STUDY had he takes points off for mistakes grd tough

Although his exams are killer i'd say he's a great professor. He's quick with his lectures and if you fall behind you better start running to catch up. studying everyday would guarantee a A in his class but no one has that kind of time so study as much as you can and keep up with the conjugations!!! overall, loved him wouldn't take anyone else.

Its a beginner class, its simple. Just do the homeworks, its all on blackboard, his tests are identical to the homework. ANd show up to class every day attendance matters to him, that it , theres nothing too hard about it.

Professor Osorio is good! He takes his time, if you have any questions he is free to answer them. He does call on you randomly to read, answer questions or to come to the board. He does have you work in groups about almost everyday! Its three test, one final and homework online. He does a lot of work in 1 day. He is strict about using cellphone.

Ok I took this professor for Spanish 112 and as long as you do the work he gives you and Wiley plus you should be fine. If your not understanding anything or fail his exams then go to tutoring and STUDY!! He will help you if you talk to him and yes this class was a challenge, but if you want to pass then you have to put in the extra work.

The material is not very difficult in my opinion. Its elementary Spanish. The tests are very fair, I didnt have to do much studying to get good grades on the exams. Pay attention in class and do the homework and you will definitely pass. The professor made class relatively fun. Hes a very fair grader and wants you to pass.

Great professor! I honestly enjoyed taking his class in Spring '19 and highly recommend him! I really like the way he teaches and it's too bad he's not teaching Spanish II in the Summer, evenings! He's very fair. Involves the entire class to participate. Do your HW and pay attention in class and you'll be fine. He's funny too!

Professor Osorio is nice, lots of homework but they are short and easy. Attendance matters, and participation as well.

He's a chill professor but get ready to read 4 novelas, his tests are based on those novelas and a few articles he gives you to do a presentation on infront of the class. He isn't a very tough grader but he does look for certain things when grading.
