If you take this class thinking it will be equal parts English and Spanish you are wrong. It is primarily a Spanish oriented class. Exams and the review are exactly alike making exams relatively easy. If you do get a grade you don't want you can always do a retest. You will have to do questions during class and turn them in and discussion boards.

I had a great time taking Calc 1 with Ponce. The lectures are clear and don't drag on while still covering the material needed for that day's homework. He is also very flexible and willing to work with you if any situations occur that may affect your attendance and or late homework as long as you're showing the effort.

Professor Ponce is one of the few professors that teach math in an understandable way. He is present for his students and gives fair credit. If you missed a deadline, need to retest or forgot to continue working on an assignment, as long as you've met attendance and work requirements, he will re-open them or extend its deadline.

The class is one of the easiest I have taken so far. It is so easy, I don't really need to study, which leaves me with more time for my other classes. There are always practice exams before the day of an exam, so as long as you review that, you are more than good to go.

The class was extremely easy, leaving me more time to focus on my other classes. Seriously, the teacher would give you a practice test before the actual test and as long as you know how to answer it, you are good to go. Also makes sure to respond if you ever have any questions about the topic/assignment.

It is my first year of college but definitely I would take it again, he gave us extra credit and the chance to retake the lowest exam grade. The way he grade is fair and its not complicated to get a good grade. If you want a chill and stress free class definitely take it.

Jose Ponce is a very good professor. When he lectures, it is always connected with the weekly assignments, so if you were lost, you could look at your notes or go back to the lecture video. He is also very understanding, so it is best to always talk about your concerns because he gives good feedback. His exams are also like the review.

This class is bilingual. He is very good at responding outside of class time. As long as you put your effort and time into the course, he will be willing to work with you. Grades are evenly distributed, you will still pass if you flunk one or two exams.Would recommend the class for those who are older in age getting back into school and have been out of it for a while. He is a great professor and he is willing to work around you he's very understanding, his attendance is mandatory one day is zoom and the other is in person, you have to buy aleks program and there u do the hw one assignment each week and 3 exams total, midterm and final.

Very accommodating and works with you if you have any trouble. For all exams he goes over everything that's going to be on the exam so it's easy to study for the tests. Weekly homework and participation also which isn't hard. Would definitely take him again.

Honestly, he's great. He explains everything well, and if you don't understand, he loves to help you understand. To make it easier, he allows us to use Desmos. I highly recommend the class it's very easy, you just have to invest a little bit of time.
