He is a cool person, but i hate the partner presentations, especially when your assigned partner isn't ever in class. He gives a mid-term, final and map test. The easiest is the map test. and also gives 6 chapter quizzes which are a drag. He is interesting but American History isn't. Not an easy breezy class.

The class was a little boring but really easy. Basically 6 quizzes ,which are open book , two presentation , a midterm, a map test and a final. The presentation you just have to prepared them and red them in class and he will give you the points and the quizzes just put exactly what the book says.

I went in to class not even knowing what the premise of it would be, but I finised the class loving the subject matter! Great class! Teacher is VERY smart and VERY helpful. Even funny. Class is really REALLY easy, open book quizes, he gives the midterm and final review, and the actual tests are word-for-word from the reviews.

It was interesting having him as a teacher: I had him for both American history classes during the summer and it was awesome! I got straight 'A's and made the best of it! He's really chill about everything and, as long as you study and get into the habit of reading the book for the assigned chapters, it's cool. Participation counts, too!

You need the book 100%. There's 2 presentations (not as bad as you might think), 6 quizzes open book with partners, and you have a midterm + final for which you are given reviews. He's a good teacher and you will learn if you want to. I recommend him. And yeah, he is hot! But most of all, the class is easy! So go ahead and take him fearlessly.

This prof. makes class interesting by making taking a modern approach on history. He doesn't bore you with a plain lecture on what happened in 45 BC; instead he uses examples on how it would have been if it happen today. Book is required, quizzes are easy, although you must study for the map test. Recommended!

Quizzes are open book, but you need to be able to find the answers quickly, or you will not finish. Exams are the review, EXACTLY. Easy A!!! Pray that you don't get stuck with a bad partner. You are with the same partner for 3 PowerPoints. If you do, speak to him immediately.

Professor Aragon is one of the best professors MDC has. I took him for AMH2020. All of his quizzes are open book but if you don't study, you won't know where to find the answers because the quizzes are timed. Also there are two presentations, two exams and a map test. Easy A if you study.

Gives a quiz every other week, two group projects which is powerpoints on historical figures, a 5 page research paper, 44 question midterm and final all multiple choice, a map test,a five paragraph report, and the attendance is mandatory!Only good thing is that the quiz are open book.

This teacher is a great teacher he doesnt make the class boring and hes really funny. The only thing is the test are a little tricky although their open book YOU NEED THE BOOK!!! i highlighted everything in the book and almost everything on the book was in the test. Good teacher i recommended him

I learned so much in his AMH2020 class. His lessons and grades are through note-taking, group projects, few discussions, quizzes, research paper, volunteering hours and a final exam. His attitude towards students is excellent, his teaching style is laid-back, listen and take notes all he teaches is always in the exams.

This is a great, funny and smart professor. He explains the material very clearly and each lesson is very interesting. Not an easy A, you will have to work a lot. Over all, I learned so much about history that I'm eager to take another class with him,follow directions and do your best.

Really entertaining class. He's very funny and doesn't make the class boring. Only thing I would warn you about are the "quizzes".Should really be called tests since they're 40 questions long. His powerpoint presentations aren't that helpful so unless you actually read the chapters and make your own notes,you'll be lost.

There are 2 PowerPoints, 3 Tests and 2 quizzes ... super easy . he provides study guides for Midterm and Final. If you call him and he does not answer he will call you back. He likes when people participate. The book is not "mandatory" that is if excellent at taking notes, if not get the book. Oh! and there is this current event 5 pts only 1 time

Prof. Aragon, is great. Clear, reasonable assignments. Quizzes are open book-can work with partner. There's a review for midterm and final. Paper and group presentation. All reasonably and fairly graded. This is not a difficult class- no reason to not get an A if you do your work! Hes funny and not bad on the eyes ;) You wont be disappointed.

The most incredible professor, I just loved him. He not only teaches you the material, he teaches history like if it was a story in a way that you find it really interesting and want actually want to learn more. Gives extra credits and if you read the book you'll be more than fine.

I just finished taking social science with him. Loved his class, he has a great sense of humor and is very nice. There are group projects, quizzes, midterm and a final but its doable , just pay attention. I would def take another class with him, favorite professor so far

He's a great teacher. You don't even have to study much at his class unless you take it Honors. The quizzes are open book and the exams are just the same than the study guide. His lectures cover all the material examined.

Basically you're out into groups since the start of the semester. You have 3presentations that each group will present throughout the semester which will take up the whole semester. 2 open book quizzes, 2test which are the Midterm and final, exactly like the study guide. Easiest history course ever. Even if you are not a fan of American History, it is not too far fetched to say you may enjoy this class. I really liked how he acknowledge the world-history influences on the Americas as well. Open book/partner quizzes, single test, map test, and a final (and he gives you study guides that have all the answers). Great!

Really good professor, he keeps you updated on your grade and he grades by points and not by average which is better because you could get a 12 on a quiz but still pass the class because it is by points. If you are not a fan of group projects don't take this class because all the assignments are done by groups. it's an easy A class, and he is great

Test & quizzes are multiple choice. quizzes are open book but you have to read the chapters beforehand because if not you won't finish on time. He gives you a study guide for the tests, legit just read it until you memorize it and you'll do great. and you have to do a couple presentations but they're okay

Professor Aragon is not a poor choice. I took him back in Spring 2018 and I can say with certainty that he is a good-hearted person that aims to help you as much as possible. There were many exams in the class but it was not a bad experience. His lectures come from powerpoints & he presents them with his thorough knowledge. Makes history semi-fun.

Most Amazing professor Ive ever had! I took him for 2 classes in a row. He knows his stuff and never tries to make you look bad when asking questions. 3 group projects which may seem like a lot, but you could create them 2 hrs prior to class. One of the best professors I've had at MDC. He is polite, respectful, passionate about what he does, pleasant and replies to emails. His lectures are clear to the point. He also post the same lectures and powerpoint on Blackboard. So if you miss class you can listen to them. 4 test, 2 group projects and 1 minor report. Take him! EXCELLENT!

His class is relatively easy, because it was online and his project criteria is well-explained; however, not his test criteria. His tests would be relatively hard if it weren't for the online assistance(google and quizlet), maybe even very hard. I cannot speak for in-class courses, he did not give us study quizzes for the test like he does for them

I took Prof. Aragon Spring 2021 and hes super chill and class was easy. In terms of work two group presentations about a foreign event and a former president of the United States. Do your part and you will be fine. One individual presentation about any current event and 4 test which are EASY. I highly recommend taking him.

Professor Aragon is incredible. History class with him doesn't feel like a class, it feels more like a story. His classes are really interesting. We had two group projects and one individual project, but they were easy.

He's a solid choice. Almost everything, about 98% of what he teaches is historically sound. He teaches very clearly and the grading criteria is crystal clear. He deserves a solid 5 stars. He's probably the best History professor at MDC.

Professor Aragon is AMAZING! He has such a captivating narrating voice and his lectures are so interesting, he knows what hes teaching and doesnt just read off the PowerPoint. Theres no homework, just group projects which are very easy, just do your research and make a PowerPoint. The class was a delight and I will definitely take him again!

I took this class online. It was easy and still I feel like I’ve learn a lot. If you want to Lear without too much pressure and you like group projects then he is perfect for you.

Professor Aragon is super friendly. I took him for the spring 2022 term and the class was remote. The class consists of very few grades, however, the work is straightforward and easy. He recommends you buy the textbook but you don't need it. There are two group assignments, 4 tests, and one current event assignment.

Prof. Aragon assigned 3 group presentations which weren't hard the only hard part is getting your classmates to work on them. He is very understanding if you are sick or can't make it to class just make sure to email him beforehand. Had to take about 4 Tests which are 50 questions all very easy. The Test isn't proctored it's an open book.

Such a sweet prof!! His lectures are far from boring, he makes sure all his students can understand. Two group projects and one current event presentation -which are automatically an easy A. He is one of the best profs overall at MDC.

A very nice professor who gives great lectures. 4 tests(50 questions and 1:30 hr to do it,also at a specific time) in total and no actual homework. There are two group projects based on topics you get to pick. You must present for at least 10 minutes with your group so if you dont like presenting beware. There is also a 5 minute solo presentation.

LOVE him. He is super funny and nice. He understands when you have a problem and his work is easy. Sometimes his test are online. There's 3 presentations in total which 2 of them are a group presentation, but they're super easy. i'll Highly recommend him.

The professor is super nice and makes the lectures engaging. Aside from a few group presentations, the class is fairly easy with no real homework. I found unstuck study helpful for exam prep along with the free textbook. Would definitely take again!

Very funny cuban man! Approachable and enjoyable class, a bit boring though. He struggles with his wifi sometimes which causes him to be unable to connect to the class, effectively wasting your time for that day, but its fine. 2 group projects, 1 current event, and 4 tests all worth a portion of your grade. Attendance/Participation = extra cred!

Dr. Aragon is not only a great professor but a great human being. He's very interactive and there is not even one class that you can be bored because the way he explains about history is very interested. I really enjoyed his classes and you can feel his good energy. Highly recommended!!!

Great professor, the class never lasted the full 4 hours. Easy group assignments doable by only 1 person in 30 min. Easy nonproctored tests. Plenty of time to do everything even in a 6 week course. Also a great person. I recommend him a 100% for any history class.

I picked this professor based on all the ratings here and they are all true! My semester consisted of four non-proctored exams, one individual assignment, and two group projects all which were a breeze. Webcam NOT required but he does expect some participation, whether through text or voice. All-in-all a down to earth and respectful professor! :)
