Very friendly. Goes out of his way to try to explain any of the concepts you don't understand. If you read the chapters and do the study guides, the tests will be fairly easy. :)
Teaches as if everyone are science majors or already knows the material. He can not spell some of the words he puts on the board but expects the class to know them. He is very friendly but moves too fast with the class, not many people are passing.
Not only incredibly hot, but from a professor, the most help ever.
Dr. Fierro is a great teacher, always avaliable to help, nice guy. His test are hard, a lot of work in his class.
Although as a class we struggled, he gave plenty of extra credit options. He is very nice and laughs alot. I wish there were more professors like him.
Very friendly, great smile and laughs a lot. :) Makes class fun and interesting. However, English is his 2nd language so may make understanding a little harder although he is eager to help. Read chapter and study notes and you should have no problem.
lab is worthless, but class is easy if you do chapter reviews.
HOT, but more adorable. his attractiveness and accent kind of keeps you attentive to his lectures. Requires a 10-15 minute orientation. He may have read these comments because just doing the study reviews at back of chapter will not just get you through. Know key terms and study guide helps alot as well as the reviews at back of chapters
he is friendly and helpful, works hard with his teaching, you have to work around the accent ,eng is his second lang otherwise he is a good prof will reward your effort.I made an A in his class, most people passed.
He's smokin, and he's got an awesome accent. Oh yeah, the class isn't bad either if you're actually interested in the subject. Don't slack off like I did.

He is a good teacher. Tests and quizzes are reasonable but his labs are useless!....He seriously needs to do something about them.
He's quite a cutie! Although, he's a little hard to understand at times because of his thick accent, but so far, it's all good :) You just have to study hard to pass his class (as a matter of fact, study hard for ALL classes)
This class is very hard! Dont expect to just skate by. You HAVE to work hard! He is very nice and cute!...but no extra credit. Make sure you pay attention to everything! DO the labs,take notes, and STUDY!

Mr. Fierro's class was the first class I ever dropped. Although he can be very nice, he is unorganized and hard to follow. His "lecture" tests do not match the topics and details discussed during lectures. His lab book does not coincide with the text book. His language situation will affect your grade. He does not give study guides. Lot of work.
If you want to learn take Dr. Fierro.He is very helpful and nice. Just ask for help and he will do anything to help you. STUDY HARD!
Dr Fierro is a good teacher, but he is a little difficult to understand...bain means vein... his tests are hard as crap but he is willing to help... He's HOT too! I think he shows a little favoratism to some people, which came in handy in my place. He really likes to get to know his students :)
The ABSOLUTE worst teacher I have ever had!! He does not help! He will tell you the things that will be on the test, and then will turn around and put something else on there! I have had teachers who have had accents..but his is VERY thick and he talks very fast! I would highly recommed not taking this teacher..he was very disappointing!
The class is difficult, but is anatomy what do you expect. He is always willing to help, just go to his office hours and he will help you. I will be taking him for A&P 2. Do the work, do the chapter questions and you will be fine. I am getting an A.
I am not sure what kind of teacher this man is because I could not get past his looks! This man was so hot....I had to drop his class. I just wanted to sit in the front of the class and look at him. I did not hear a word he was saying. I knew I would fail so I droped and took the class with another professor.

I had this as a Saturday class, from 8:30 to 2:30. Dr. Fierro managed to keep me awke the entire time. He was very helpful and always willing to listen and explain. Tells some funny and corny jokes. Very Good professor. I would take him again.
Dr. Fierro is a really awesome professor. He will try to scare you out of his class the first day, but stick with him. He kept us laughing and was extremely helpful. This class is a TON of work and the material is HARD! There is a huge amount of info that you need to memorize. It's a tough class, but he is GREAT!
He is such a stud. Everyday id catch myself looking at his nice butt. haha. Really nice great teacher. Ill never forget him. highly recommended to take if his class is available.
other than the eye candy this class was AWFUL!!! He doesnt teach anything that's on the test, and what he does teach isn't always clear. During lab he would walk out of the room and be gone for long periods of time, and when he was in the room he offered NO help. Sure he's hott but he's the worse teacher i've had during my years at FCCJ.

Anatomy itself is a difficult subject.Dr. Fierro has very high expectations for his students,as one should.You're in college!Overall great professor & willing to help you if you ask.He can't read your mind to know if you need help.Of course, some of the test material wasn't gone over in lecture,but that's what outside studying is for.

This was supposed to be a great class but this professor was terrible, he is a vet and not meant to teach! He gave tests and they had nothing to do with his lectures, I would not recommend!!

I loved Dr. Fierro! He was awesome. Anatomy itself is a hard class so of course this class was hard. I learned alot in his class like all of the bones and muscles. He was very helpful to me but he doesn't give study guides, only for the final. He was very nice and I thought that he was a great teacher. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
If you can understand the Columbian accent, you might be ok. I learn from lecture, and can't understand a damn thing he says!!! Not making this any easier for you, but make sure you can handle not understanding lecture before signing up for his class!!!!!

Good professor. His accent isn't bad at all. His exams can be tricky....but for the most part they are from the material you covered in class. He's a fun guy.
He's a nice guy, always willing to help students and answer questions. He gives several chances to get extra credit, including extra questions on the tests. Just always be to class on time and you won't have a problem. He's funny and his lectures are interesting. Organized, pleasant, and easy on the eyes - what else can you ask for? Take him.
Seriously amazing teacher. He is extremely helpful. Yes, he is a vet (horses), but knows everything about HUMAN anatomy, and that's what counts. He is really positive, funny, and clear with his instructions and his lectures. The accent does not hinder the learning experience.
if you put the effort forth you will do well, if you do not you will do poorly. You will get out as much as you put in. He really knows the subject. I didenjoy taking him.

At first he was a difficult teacher to keep up with. Now he's realizing that his accent is hard to understand. Mr.Fierro acknowledged this fact. I would say take him only if you have to, not because you want to. If you are not interested in science and are of normal IQ this class (at least for me) will not get you an A or B.
Not a good professor at all. Test you on things he never goes over. Expects too much of the students when he don't do what he suppose to. Very good looking and smells good too, but not a good teacher
I took him for Anatomy one and I will never ever take him again when I saw that he was teaching Micro I just wanted to warn you people to stay away far away . He never gave study guides. He was jjust all together horrible, and hard.

His accent is very thick. At times it was extremely hard to understand. He tested on material that he never went over. I just did the work and read from the book because that was the only way that I made a C in his class. I do not recommend this class to anyone unless you speak Spanish or can understand someone who has a thick Spanish accent.
Micro hybrid is great. The lab work is interesting and tests are over the assigned reading. Read the chapters do the labs and try to get the extra credit points and you will get an A!!!!!
Hybrid micro is great.Lots of reading to do on your own, but it's worth a shot!If you are a motivated person and love to study on your own, this class is for you.Pr.Fierro will get you trough this with an easy A or B. Come to class, study hard, do labs.
People exaggerate about his accent, he's perfectly comprehensible. Quiz questions are already provided prior to taking the actual quiz, which REALLY improves your grade. You must read the book, sucks huh? But if youre a science major, you'll definitely remember the majority of things he teaches. Labs are interesting, manual was a waste of money.
Stick with him, you hard work will pay off. Nice person and very helpful. Lots of reading, but it is A&P!

nice guy but he doesnt really teach. recommend not to take class as a hybrid cuz he doesnt offer any help and just tells u to come in and do more labs if you're struggling. book work is pretty hard & he doesnt give a lot of clarity on what to study. everyone failed the first test in my class and he didn't even acknowldege the test or offer help.
Dr.Fierro is a crappy teacher. He gives tests that do no match the lectures. His labs are very useless and does not provide help. He should stick to being a Vet. Do NOT RECOMMEND!
I was worry about taking micro, but Dr. Fierro made it really fun. We had a blast in class and I learned a lot. Dr. Fierro is also very helpful y understanding, I GOYAN A!!!!!!! take him!

Take this class if you have to do Micro. As long as you make an effort, you will get a good grade. It is a lot of work, and I didn't do so hot on the lab tests, but with all the work, I actually got an A! I took it as a hybrid course. I would definitely recommend him! He's easy to look at too!
A&P I is hard only for the amount of information. Fierro teaches straight from book. I aced the class. It's all memorization. Lab tests are a bit whacked. But no reason not to make 100 or > due to extra credit EVERY test. If you're not acing this course you're not reading the book. I like Fierro's no BS style.
READ READ READ. The book will be your bible for the semester. Fierro is wonderful. Very funny and he is a prof. that young students can connect too. He says he there is no extra credit in his class, theres plenty. MEMORIZATION is the key. If you are a hard working delligent student, this is your class. Not an easy class but you will learn. ;)
I made an A. Lots of info to cover & read. Fierro is a good prof. He won't just give you a grade. You must earn it. A&P requires 75% of overall study time for me. Have a high GPA going into last 4 weeks of semester. It's killer covering 2-4 chapters/week. Your grade will drop. I went from 98 to 94%. But, don't despair. Lots of extra credit.
He is more relaxed than some other professors, but this makes class fun. I took the Hybrid course, lab in class. He treats you as an adult and allows you to figure some things out alone, always there to help. Loves technology, LOTS of extra credit. Put a little effort in & it will pay off! Accent not bad, and he gives you lots of study materials!

Fierro is a good prof. A real college prof. Course is hard. You must work for your grade. He give's lots of extra credit to help. Beware hybrid course, test bank tests only. Very difficult to study for. Even using book looking directly at answer you can still be wrong. Don't be afraid to confront Fierro on some of the questions. Would take again.

wow, these reviews are so VERY WRONG! This is the worst teacher ever. His class is a joke. Even if you have the book in front of you while taking a test, your still lost and confused.
he tries to scare you in the begging, but if you stick with him you will see that he is not bad at all.
This course is very demanding, and requires lots of studying. He is very straight to the point and does not give points, what you have is what you get. He explains the material very well, but studying is the key to pass his class. Good Luck!!!!

hard for no reason. he's very sarcastic and loves making you feel retarded. the first 2 tests are over 5 chapters. and he schedules hard tests back to back with no regard to you having other classes or a life.

Professor Fierro, does not explain anything to you.He expect for you to read and,learn the information yourself. He was not a good professor to me. He is nice, and like to play music during class.But I honestly didn't learn anything that I can say he taught me during that course. I pay out of pocket so it really hurt me grade wise and financially.
Very strict professor. The only professor who will not let you retake the test if there are technical difficulties. Tests are very hard and he doesn't provide any help in preparing for them. He doesn't motivate students to do their best either. He is not an ethical professor who is trying to help his students succeed in the course and their career.
Love him. Would take again if I could. And he is really good looking. Ladies, you will enjoy the class!
I'm not sure what people expect especially taking a hybrid course, but Dr. Fierro is great. There is little face to face time, you're in class for labs. The labs are easy and fun. The tests are all online and open book but HARD. You have to prepare, attend class, participate in discussion boards, but its an easy A. Don't let micro intimidate you!

The labs are easy and all in class, tests and assignments are online. Tests are VERY HARD so you have to prepare. Several chapters are covered in one exam which makes it very challenging due to very large chapters in text. Pay attention and do your work and you will do fine and learn a lot. Another advantage- hes easy on the eyes!!!

Is not clear. He targets and picks on certain students. Does not respond to your emails unless he emailed you first. Then he would ignore you. class is a waste of time. tests and everything he does nothing to help u prepare.
This class is not easy in general, so with that said he is a great teacher and I would take him again! Its not an easy A, you have to work hard, but if you work hard you will get the grade you want. All the tests are online, and the labs are super easy. He is intimidating at first but once you get to know him hes a pretty nice guy. I got an A
Professor is good looking. The class it hard and professor offer little or no direction. He can be lenient on grading, but NOT on late assignments. I would not take any of his classes in the future. The lab part of the class was fun although you are on your own. The most help you get from him is drawings on the white board:(

Microbiology is a hard course, but this professor is easy. I have taken the hybrid class, and all we do is just labs. However, I did not learn or understand anything about microbiology because he does not teaches. You have to self-study totally. You will pass this class if you do the work. 4 exams, 2 Labs exams,10 DB and 10 Quizzes.One presentation

Professor Fierro is a stickler for attendance and is very particular on assignments. The syllabus can be confusing but the professor is good about answering questions. He will not give you an A you have to earn it. I took the hybrid class and you get out of it what you put in to it.
As long as you do all the chapter material you can get an A

I highly recommend this professor. completed AP I & II back to back online 6 week courses with an A in both. Labs/Dissections may be challenging and lots of work, but just do the work. He is a fair teacher. 13 quizzes, 13 DBs, 4 asgnmnts, 8 labs, 2 exams. 2 addtl exams in bsc2085
Complete all assignments and submit on time and you will get an A. Turn in the best work you can and he will grade fairly. Make sure you actually buy the organs for dissection because pictures are required. Answers any questions right away and grades assignments the day after due date. Took online, same text as bsc2085C
Took this class online. All of his "announcements" were letting the students know he graded the work. Unorganized. Doesn't let you know what work is graded that week. Doesn't respond to emails.
