i was able to pass the class but barely, the syllabus is never accurate. this class consist of 2 midterms and a final the first midterm you get a study guide but the other two your on your own. The project was difficult but luckily i had a good team, his template was full of errors.

This may be a challenging class, but you will really learn what accounting is. The prof is willing to help the students even though he is very busy. He is passionate and helpful. Take this class if you wanna learn Accounting. Don't take it if you simply want an easy A class. It is a practical class.

His curriculum is incredibly sloppy and unorganized. Mylab and Pathstream are great tools utilized by other professors to keep the class organized and in check. He FAILS miserably at using these tools and putting the correct due dates for projects. Try and take a different professor if possible. He has good intentions, but fails with organization.

Syllabus is all over the place which makes the schedule so hard initially. He needs to seriously improve this online class, being too busy is a lame excuse. Released the group project info way too late and due on same week as final. HW doesn't help with exams. Do the study plan Q in mymathlab or learn on youtube instead.

Professor Nava was incredibly flexible and did everything he could to make learning from home as manageable as possible. I was on the digital marketing track, which consisted of weekly discussion questions + chapter reading + check-in + SIM/BTN exercises, and creating a marketing plan via Pathstream. Very generous grader and wants you to pass.

His class is highly structured, and uses an external learning system with hard deadlines, so be sure not to fall behind. He does seem to have a lot on his plate, and so does not give a lot of feed back, but he makes himself available should you need his help. Overall a positive, if somewhat detached experience.

The instructor has a lot of knowledge on the subject. He has the background and experience in Business. The class was mainly online with non-mandatory zoom meetings. Usually, you read a chapter, then take a quiz. There is class participation, some simulation assignments and a final project. It is a great introductory class to business.

Professor Nava's online class is well-structured. You have to read the book. If you don't read the book, you will not understand anything. All homework and exams are through Pearson, and there are only 2-3 homework assignments for the week and three exams throughout the semester. Has weekly zoom calls for extra help. Fast talker. Overall, good

While I could tell Professor Jose Nava had extensive knowledge of the class material, the Canvas assignments were very unstructured and disorganized. He would assign over 10 assignments a week with confusing instructions and guidelines. The content was simple, but make sure you constantly check up on Canvas because he WILL add unexpected busywork.

I genuinely think all the highly rated reviews are Jose's burner accounts, and he goes into chat gtp to make a BS 5-star review.

Professor Nava's online ACC1A class is well-structured. The textbook is essential, and unstuck study was a great study aid alongside the homework and exams. Overall, a good course if you put in the work.

Took him for ACTG 1A. Easy async class, lots of points for participation and for homework done using the textbook's companion product. Exams are crazy easy, class average grades on tests was 92-94% range. His Canvas gets recycled from quarter-to-quarter and class-to-class so there are messed up references and such that create some confusion.

Jesus there is so much work for this class. All of work is done on Pearson. Tedious and time consuming, professor doesn't really teach. So many discussion posts for no reason when we already have enough work from Pearson to practice with. Stay away.

Instructions are often unclear, requiring several announcements to correct. He changed an assignment due date with little notice, giving just a few hours to complete it. Even when following the grading rubric exactly, it's possible to receive a low score, which feels unfair and confusing. Overall, the course is frustrating to navigate.

Rambling/unclear lectures, cancels in-person class half of the time. Online work is expected but content is not paced at all. He withheld most of the textbook modules until the week before finals, in which he unlocked everything and told us good luck. Easy enough to power through with BUSI but I can't imagine taking accounting with him. Hard Pass
