Funny professor,Inspirational, handsome, well presented and very caring. He made me want to learn more about art, even though I did not care about it before taking his class. I highly recommend him and I hope he would teach more classes.

I would honestly retake his class if I had the chance to. He is an amazing teacher and cares about every single student. Super sweet and understanding.

He make sure that you read the chapters for homework. You can send him an email anytime, he will always respond and answer your questions. lots of presentations and art descriptions. He is funny and I really enjoyed his class.

Prof. Pita is one of the few professors at the MDC that I really liked. He made the class fun and interactive. This was my first time taking this class of art appreciation and with professor Pita. He gets to class on time and prepared for the new lecture of that day. There are some group projects but they are not so bad. As long as you follow directions and get your work done as best as you can, you are guaranteed to pass. He makes learning fun!

I took Art Appreciation with Prof Pita during summer and it was definetly a class i reccomend. Prof pita not only makes lectures informative but interactive and offers a break in between. He is accessible outside of class and there are a lot of hands on activities you will do. There are not that many assignments i had to do. I reccomend him 100%

Professor Pita is the best and the coolest professor I've had so far. His class is extremely easy and chill. Only two group presentations you will need the book, don't buy, rent it from amazon. We only had two assignments to take home. No midterm and the final is open book, he provides a study guide to help you know where the answers are located.

Amazing lectures, he makes the class fun and creative. We got to do two art works in class. Professor Pita is very transparent with the grading of the assignments, everything is on Black Board and you see your grades for every assignment. Also, you get what you earned. There is an extra credit assignment almost at the end of the semester.

Professor Pita is an incredible professor! Very fun and outgoing. A real treat especially if you're taking night classes. His class environment is positive, relaxing and just outright fun! :) would take again in a heartbeat

Excellent professor. Prof. Pita, takes art history class to another level. I actually learned from his class a lot, and I became more interested in art. Just be sure to buy the book, you will use it. He really loves art and wants you to love it as well. We mostly covered art history and religion instead of the actual art. There is a lot of GROUP assignments. If he sees the class with bored faces he will make the class do an some work activity to wake you up. Book is used a few times for quizzes and to study for presentations.

With professor Pita you see your grade in Blackboard all the time. He is always available outside of class for any questions about the assignments. There is about 3 art projects that you would have to do. Overall, I liked his class. He teaches history different which makes it less boring. He does not like cellphones out in class, but that is OK.

He is a really good professor, despite his young age. He really cares about his students' success, I sent him my class paper, for him to check, before I submitted it, and an hour later he had already emailed me the file with comments. I never had a professor that does that, usually, they just come to teach the class and that's it. I recommend him.

Aside from being a great professor, hes a great artist. He went over the first 3 chapters in the book and then we did a group presentation in which he assigned a chapter to each group and we learned from each other. He not only provided a study guide for the final but let us use our book. I enjoyed doing 2 artworks because he gave great feedback.

Thanks to Professor Jose Pita Vazquez I now have some background in art. I worked on projects and homework, but it didn't feel like work. I genuinely learned a lot. The Professor cares for his students' performance in the class. He is willing to help when you don't understand and makes things ver clear. I am happy I took this class.

The class is a class where you'll learn about Art don't think it's just an easy A; it is but if you do your work. Don't expect to get an A by just doing nothing. The professor cares about his students and he is very passionate about what he teaches. Overall, a good class which I'd take again if I had to.

professor Vazquez was one of the best if not the best professor I have had at Miami-Dade college. he is knowledgeable and passionate about what he teaches, and he clearly cares about his students. he doesn't like to let any of us slip through the cracks, when it comes to us learning. thank you so much for an amazing and fun class.

Overall, I liked the class. I understand we are in hard times, however, textbook is mandatory and we only used it once for an assignment. He gave a lot of assignments, although he does give a lot of heads up. Not a hard grader.

You do your work and go to class, and you will pass his class with an A. He is an excellent professor, at first, it looks like I was going to do a lot, but I actually enjoyed the assignments. The first day he told the class that after taking the course, we would see the world differently, and he was RIGHT. Take his class, you will learn a lot.

Professor Pita genuinely loves art and art history. His passion for it can be seen as soon as the class starts. He loves discussing the little intricacies behind the meaning of many artworks. He honestly sparked my love for art again. 10/10 best Art Appreciation professor in the whole country.

I never though I was going to like Art history so much. Prof. Pita's class has been one that I had enjoyed since day 1. The college should give him a fulltime position.

This professor is amazing. He is very flexible and would not have a problem if you ever need to be late or miss class as long as is a good reason tho. It is very easy to pass just be creative in your PowerPoints and this is an easy A. Would definitely recommend.

He's an awesome professor that is extremely lenient to everyone. So if you're not an art major yet need to fulfill a requirement, then take his class. He does assign projects where you have to present, but just read off of some index cards and it's an easy A. He also lets you use the internet to help you with the only exam. Really fun class overall
