He is a very helpful teacher and if you keep open comunication with him he will do any thing to help you pass. If you fail its no ones fault but your own because he practically hand feeds the material to you.

This teacher wants his students to pass. He is a little hard to understand but he works very hard to make sure you get it all. I thought I was going to fail but I wound up with a B. Take this guy if you fear 1033.

Professor Remesar is a great teacher, make sure you come to class on time. He might have a strong accent but he just like the other person said, he truly cares and really wants you to do well in his class. If you do the home and also the practice exercises you should be good to go.

When I first heard him speak,I won't lie, I was very skeptical and felt a bit of dread. He has a thick accent but not so much that you can't understand him. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that he was patient and more than willing to help/explain any questions. Tests mirrored the reviews he handed out. Easy. I would definitely recommend him.

Jose Remesar is the best guy ever. He is always prepared to class, gives a lot of extra credits and the final is optional if you have an A avg. He will drop the lowest grade!!! and give you 10 points for home work - easy.

GREAT PROFESSOR! One of the best that I have come across. He explains calculus clearly, is always willing to work through additional problems and answer questions. If I didn't understand the book he always made the topic crystal clear in class. Highly recommend him if you want to understand calculus!

Never had an A in math before his class! It also had to do with the course compass and endless hours of studying.He can be hard to understand at times, because his way of explaining can be too confusing. His reviews are priceless! Mirror the tests, and multiple choice!There is no way not to pass his class if you do the homework and reviews!

Amazing teacher! He is one of the reasons I stay focused on my goal of becoming an electrical engineer. He makes math interesting, which I have never found the least bit. He is very intimate with his students as if he is tutoring each on their own. Very humble and kind yet stern with his lectures. Two thumbs way up for him!

This Prof. is HILARIOUS! His analogies are out of this world. Not to mention he looks and sounds exactly like Victor from the George Lopez show lol. Yes,his Quizzes are harder than the work we do in class but all you need is a 70% on them to get an A. His Tests are not hard at all. I would recommend him!!

One of the best math professors at MDC Wolfson Campus. He actually does look a lot like Victor from George Lopez, only skinnier. Funny, lenient, easy class. Take him.

Class was a joke. His tests are multiple choice and he is by far the easiest and best math professor at Wolfson Campus. If you want to pass math- No, if you want a GPA booster, take him! And I'd never thought I'd say that about a math class! He gives lots of extra credit too.

His english is not very clear, but he tries so hard !!! He is such a nice man. His tests are multiple choice, and he LOVES to relate every math problem to "White horses" (White horses meaning they're so easy).

Easy to deal with, not a lot of homework, just enough to make u learn the easy topics and pass the class. His English is not good but enough to get what he's explaining. He knows the topic. Math is a pain, so don't try to get it by osmosis, just do the homework and get an easy A. If u get A in the 1st 4 tests, u don't have to take the final

He's really nice&funny.Every time you ask him to further explain something he will always have a story.I enjoyed him making light of the math.You get 4 exams and he drops the 1 with the lowest score. H/W is online through mymathlab and it helps you understand the material better but its olny 10% of the grade.Final exam is worth 30% of the grade

This man is FABULOUS. Of course, I had help from a tutor additionally, but not often, just an hour a week. DO THE MODULES. I passed with a A and I beyond-suck at math. He's really funny. SIT AT THE FRONT.

Even though I received a "C" , I have to admit that it was mostly my fault. Professor Remesar is such s nice guy, teaches everything very clearly and likes to joke a lot. Overall, really enjoyed the class and am hoping to take him again for Calculus.

Good teacher, if you put attention and do the reviews the test will be an easy A, i never did use the book at and moment so better get the code for mathlab, there are 4 test and the lowest grade will get drooped plus if you get A in all the test you wont need to do the final, but don't let it fool you, at the beginning is easy but it gets harder

Prof Remesar doesn't drive you crazy like other math teachers at MDC. he knows what you need to focus on. just make sure you go to class, always complete the study guide for each quiz. you will have a perfect grade. I failed the first test and then I woke up and ended with a B+. So dont worry at the beginning you still have chances to improve.

Awesome math professor. While not exactly an engaging class, he makes it good and entertaining to learn with the occasional joke or anecdote. Really motivated!

he is actually very very helpful and the material is not difficult. if you fail it is really because youre not paying enough attention or maybe you're just not good at math but it won't be his fault because he is helpful. I enjoyed taking him

I liked his sense of humor. He would always greet you with a smile and positive attitude as well. Remesar also tries to teach his students, shortcuts to pass the test. This guy is awesome. Go for it, choose him as your professor!

Online homework is 10% of your grade, 4 or 5 online homework assignments with about 25 questions each one. 4 tests (drops the lowest one) + Final Clear lectures and does not mind in repeating himself or correcting himself. Answers all questions asked as clear as possible. You dont need the textbook, but an access code for the online homework.

Professor Remesar is great! If you do your homework online, you will do just fine on the tests! He is very funny and always there for you to help. Even if you ask the same question 10 times he will explain gladly. Just do the review and your homework online before the tests!!

Great Professor! I took two classes with him, and I will take him again. He is a very nice person and very helpful. If you do your work you will be fine. I pass both classes with an A and I'm not a Math genius.

Professor Remesar is a very nice and caring person, very good at what he does and always willing to help. Do your homework and practice exams and you will do fine in his class. Prof. Remesar is great honestly, he makes learning math so easy and he explains everything very clear, if you don't understand something he will help you understand it. He goes over the study guide in class and it's the same as the test. Homework is all online.

Prof Remesar is really a nice and caring teacher, he always jokes in class and is essentially a funny person. But he cannot teach, I'm sorry he goes very fast (And I'm a fast learner), he does the problems on his own on the board and honestly believes we all get it. Mymathlab is assigned which is annoying and the Final is mandatory.

Exams are 60% of your grade, final 30%, HW 10%. I have never been great with math, but I have learned a lot with Prof. Remesar. Go to the lectures & ask questions; he will try his best to answer them. Practice what he teaches by doing the test reviews and HW. Don't do all the HW assignments on the day it is due b/c you wont finish. HW on MyMathLab

Calculus itself is a hard subject to learn, but his simple style of teaching made it easier. While his manner is slack and would give us breaks during lecture, his exams are difficult though they are multiple choice, and they don't look much like the review packet. Gives partial credit if work is shown but selected wrong anwer.

Professor Remesar is a great professor. You dont need to use the book. You just need to pay attention to his lectures and write down notes. You can ask him any questions, just in case you are confused about something. The lectures and concepts are clear and straightforward. If you are strong in math, then you should take this professor.

He tries to make sure you understand the material when lecturing. You can ask him any questions about the lecture and he will explain it. The homework is easy and the review questions are similar to the ones in the exams.

Let's be clear, good professor, but the subject is heavy and he cannot teach you something if you lack of previous knowledge of basic math. remember this subject is like a chain. If you lack some part of the chain, the whole chain will not work. You need to do your part. He is an instructor no a high school teacher so do your part.

Professor Remesar will taught me that the best way to learn mathematics (Trig) is to earn it. Clear and thorough on the board. Clearly given lectures. Quality lectures.

I WOULD ONLY RECOMMEND THIS CLASS IF YOU ARE GOOD AT/LIKE MATH. Professor Remesar's lectures usually consist of him blasting through concepts relatively quickly, covering about a chapter a class (at least for my summer session). He does make sure to stop and answer questions, but a lot of the time I had to go back and read the text. Good overall.

You need to work for your grade, Math is not easy and you need good hearing? But he will explain to you if you couldnt keep up AND if you ASSSK!! I would recommend to see multiple times the recordings of the online class if you cant keep up in the regular class!

Past reviews don't say the truth tbh. He is easy if you make the effort. If you study like any other class and you'll be fine. If you are lazy then that's on you but his lectures are easy to understand even with an accent and the homework has examples. I'm so bad at math and yet I understand and memorize bc I try. He's a really kind and understanding professor but please do not take him if you have a hard time in math! There's only 4 tests, a final, and 4 homework assignments. The lectures aren't the greatest either. If you're quick to learn math, I'd recommend him. But you will teach yourself most of it more than half the time. He will let u make up tests

took Pre Calculus and Trigonometry. Dr. Remesar is an amazing professor, he explains everything clearly, makes some jokes during the lecture. he has a strong spanish accent but since i am not fluent in english too i understand everything he says. the tests are heavy tho, but since we are all in math/engineering/etc - be ready to have a lot of math.

Fair and allowed students to retake exams, he works with everybody that's motivated to really put in the work. He wants you to pass. Not give you a hard time
