Very smart and great professor for a&p lab!!! Pretty straight foward, you will learn a lot from him & Even thought his tests are hard if you put the time and effort in it you will be fine.
Prof. Veltri is very intricate. Copies of class notes are provided,so he can lecture in detail.Answers questions and is very helpful.Unfortunately, his tests are very long.Consists of multiple choice, fill ins, matching, and 2 essay questions. His lab tests are fill ins.You have to know the anatomical positions, but he does not count spelling.
Dr.Veltri gives his all to his students. As a physician he brings great knowledge to the class and shares it. If you're a healthcare major this is the professor for you. Be prepared to do the work. if you don't study you won't succeed.
Dr. Veltri is an amazing professor! I lucked out by getting him as both my lab and lecture instructor. The class is NOT easy.. Funny and passionate, knows his stuff!! Be prepared to WORK... As stated before this is no walk in the park, a weed out course as it's called, for medical students. He gives you the notes, which is a godsend! A+ guy!
Read through his notes and you will do good in exam. He is very clear when explaining. And also he makes you corelate things and not just memorize
Veltri is a great man and really funny! Be prepared to WORK. A&P is a hard class, and if you plan on going into a health profession, you need to do well. Sometimes he goes fast in lecture, but don't be afraid to ask him to slow down. He is always willing to help his students. Also, make sure you READ or else it'll be really hard to pass.
A&P is a difficult subject to begin with, The way he teaches makes it even harder to grasp concepts. His lectures tend to be all over the place, he jumps from one subject to another and his explanations can be confusing. He tells the class to memorize something specific for the test that ends up not even being on the tests. Take Walsh or Collis!
Professor Veltri is unclear during lecture, talks fast, and over-complicates the subject. Youtube has been my savior this semester. There have also been numerous times where he made mistakes grading tests- marked correct answers wrong when we went over them in class. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this professor.
Disorganized, rude to students, and not very approachable. His lectures are confusing.
I had an honor of having professor Veltri last semester for Anatomy and Physiology 1. His tests are pretty straight forward, study study study! And you will do well, unfortunately i only had him for the lecture part and not lab. I personally reccomend his class because he helped you if you didnt understand and cared and was passionate in his field.
This the hardest semester of my life. This the worst professor of my college career. He let us out an hour early for a 3 hour class often. You can not pass without reading the textbook thoroughly, i recorded his lectures and went back and studied his power point and most of that was not on the test. He test were very tricky, steer clear! Beware
Not an easy A - His lectures were so boring and not clear. Be prepared to read a lot. He has a wealth of knowledge but does not pass it on clearly. His quizzes are fair - if you study (not his notes or recording) from the text book, you will pass very well. He is also will to explain whatever you find difficult. He wasnt bad at all.
Hardest class I've ever taken. Not just because the material but he made it more confusing then it needed to be, I did great in Lab and actually really loved what i was learning, lecture made it difficult to understand, his test were very tricky, I will not be taking him for A&P 2 , wish i checked rate my professor before i took his class
If you are lazy, STAY AWAY. If you usually get by, STAY AWAY. If you cant take notes while a prof is lecturing, STAY AWAY. He is ALL over the place when he talks. Record his lectures. what he says in lecture is going to be the test. Don't buy the edition he tells you to, get the 8th for $3. But I would recommend not to take him
Dr. Veltri was an amazing professor! This Anatomy and Physiology 1 class is heavy on the reading and very lecture-heavy, so go to class prepared with notes from the reading. His tests are a little bit on the hard side, but if you study hard you should be okay! Not a full-time professor so no office hrs! His drawings are super helpful A&P 2 next :)
Get ready to speed write or record Prof Veltris lectures. He is old school. At 1st I was struggling in his class, lots of reading & heavy lecture. But once I started recording the lectures & replayed it at my leisure, I started doing well in his class. Study and re-read the material bc what he says in class will be on the tests! He's a goofball
As instructor Dr Veltri is caring thougthful insightful and knowledgeable be prepared to work lectures are straight forward.
He's an overall nice guy who knows his stuff but he's ALL OVER THE PLACE! He tells you to read the chapters yet during the lectures its so confusing as to where he is in the book! Some of what he mentions during lecture is on the exam but don't be fooled, sometimes it's NOT and he doesn't give back your tests so you can't learn from your mistakes.
Professor Veltri is an excellent professor. He is attentive, very knowledgeable, motivating and sensitive to student learning. He is one of the best professor i have ever encountered. I would highly recommend this professor.
Dr Veltri is very demanding of himself as well as his students. His lectures are highly competitive and course reading is difficult.. His exams are hard but fair and directly aligned to his lecture and power points. Would highly recommend Dr Veltri and hope to have him as an instructor for Anatomy & Physiology for the up comimg semester.
Dr Veltri is very demanding and an excellent teacher. This is the third time I have taken this course but I have never been able to understand the material and apply the information as with this professor. Dr Veltri is real approachable and willing to help. Hope to have him for A & P 2 this coming Fall semester-take him he's great!!
He's a great professor! He wants you to succeed and really understand the material in front of you instead of just getting by. Know the imbalances because he's not joking when he says they will be on the test. He's funny and easy going even though he looks a little scary at first. Don't be afraid to talk to him or ask questions he's sweet.
Dr Veltri is old school and demands rigor from his students. He is inspiring in that he clearly explains content material in a logical and orderly fashion. He may seem unapproachable but to the contrary is very dedicated to his students and always willing to help. Recommend him to any student.
Dr Veltri was an amazing professor throughout this course. He demanded and expected the very best of you. He was always willing to assist explain and forge your critical thinking. Would recommend him to any student. Widh I had him earlier in A&P 1
Do your self a favor and get yourself into his lecture right now. This guy is incredibly straight forward with what you need to know. His test are easy if you record his lectures and take good notes. He will go over key points that will be on the test the lecture before the test. Study exactly what he says to and you'll ace this class.
Prof. Veltri was understanding and had mercy on us. It was so much to learn, so he would let us take a 2-5 min. break to soak it all in. At the start of class, he'd test us on the previous lecture. Attendance was mandatory bc you need add. notes ON TOP of the ppt notes to study from. His explanations were complicated at times, but he was good.
I am so glad I took this class with Dr. Veltri. Not many professors are as knowledgeable and as caring as he is. The material is heavy, but he breaks it down in the simplest manner for us using lecture, illustrations as well as diagrams. If i had listened to some of the reviews they gave him, I would have missed out on a great blessing. Thanks
Tends to jump from one topic to another with no clear direction. Prepare to be confused. If you ask him a question, he will more than likely respond something along the lines of " did you do your reading?" Bring your textbook everyday to class and pray if you have him. Has about 5 tests (including the final), 20% of your grade for each test.
he talks pretty quickly and it is sometimes hard to keep up with. Overall he is a pretty cool guy, and i would take him again. We get graded on a very few number of things which effected my grades substantially.
Dr Veltri is old school where principal, integrity and effort are essential. His lectures are well organized descriptive and have clear objectives. HDr Veltri is caring reasonable and approacable. I would love to take Anatomy & Physiology 2 which this teacher.
Dr Veltri Although he speaks somewhat fast he is very thorough, organized and relates all material to real world experiences. Dr Veltri is positive and professional regarding student growth and success. One of the best instructors I have encountered while at WCC
Dr Veltri is very thorough clear regarding lecture material and emphasizes vocabulary vocabulary reading. His explanations of the material are presented in a way that students can understand and participate in the course . I never thought I could be motivated in this course but Dr Veltri inspires confidence and goal achievement. Great teacher!
Anatomy and Physiology 2 has been a better place thanks to Dr Veltri. I had so much trouble in Anatomy and Physiology 1 with a different teacher. Dr Veltri presented in a way that i was able to follow his lectures and understand and apply topic contents. My best teacher ever.
Best teacher ever in that Dr. Veltri cares for his students, promotes student success and inspires their progress. His lectures are heavy and vocabulary heavy. I recommend to students taking this A & P 1 in taking a biology prerequisite course. Dr Veltri is always willing to assist in his students journey through this difficult course.
Dr Veltri is an excellent teacher little fast but power points lectures and animated videos covers all content. His approach is old school but very effective basic vocabulary and effort
Professor Veltri made A & P 1 a science course that I was able to not only follow but understand. Throughout the semester I began to focus my learning instead of just trying to memorize information. Prof Veltri provided the opportunity to not only learn science but enjoy science something I never thought could happen recommend this teacher
Dr Veltri demonstrates what a professor at WCC should be. He cares for his students is always attempting to build confidence and expect the most from his syudents. His lectures are difficult and so is A & P 1 but he emphasizes reading vocabulary and effort. Hope to have him in the Fall.
Has been an amazing semester in A & P 1. I never thought I could understand science as i did without a backround. I fill fortunate to have had Dr Veltri instruct and teach this course. I hope to have him in the fall semester. Sign up for this course if you want to learn.
Caring old school professor that takes his work seriously and expects the most from his students. Dr Veltri relays class lectures to real world learning and focuses on learning outcomes for all students. Not an easy course nor is he a push over but great all around professional. Take him if you can!!
Great professor who expects as much from his students as he does in his instruction. Lecture material is very difficult but approachable if you are on task. Anatomy and Physiology 1 was not easy but am prepared for the fall Anatomy and Physiology 2. Thank you Dr Veltri
Dr. V is a good choice. Advised to record lectures if you can't take notes fast. He simplifies everything in the textbook and provides power points. Don't over study, just know how to explain processes. Class is cumulative so remember what you learn for future tests and Final. He is nice.
Dr Veltri has demonstrated a ability that i rarely have had the experience at WCC to have. He is old school tough, knowledgeable willing to help may talk a little fast. He is very conscious and dedicated to student growth progress and success. Would love to have him as a professor in Anatomy & Physiology 2.
Anatomy and Physiology is no joke. Stay away if you do not intend to study. The professor is on cue with his lectures which follow assigned reading for each class. Dr Veltri emphasizes vocabulary understanding and ability to apply information throughout the course. Professor teaches and does not just instruct like many other professors.
At first I was intimidated by Dr. Veltri, but hes actually a nice guy and will reply quickly to emails and questions. (He doesn't have any office hours though.) Make sure to do the reading, pay close attention and take good notes. The final was very easy because it was a reused test questions. Make sure to ace lab and you should be fine.
Dr Veltri cares, he challenges, he expects the most from each individual. He explains difficult concepts and focuses on student learning and success. Try to get into his class.
Dr Veltri helped me the best by demonstrating how to use information and not just read. He taught me valuable lesson about approaching this difficult course. I am so disappointed that he is not instructing Anatomy and Physiology 2. Great teacher and person.
Anatomy and Physiology 1 was a difficult course. I had been out of school for some time. Over the semester Prof Veltri many times had conversations with me about my return to academics. As the semester went on I continued to build confidence and focus on achieving. Prof Veltri thank you so much for caring and giving that extra that i rarely see .
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING professor! i wouldn't have been able to do well in this class if it wasn't for him. He made this challenging class so much easier because of how much of a good professor he is! He does talk a little fast which seems really challenging at first, but you get used to it. If he didn't talk fast, we would not be able to cover all
It has been a pleasure to be in Professor Veltri class, I wish he was teaching A&P 2 , but he is not but he is a great teacher, He knows the subject very well, and it is easy to understand the work with him teaching it. I was so nervous to take this class and put it off for several years , I am grateful for professor Veltri, it has been an awesome
Professor Veltri is the epitome of a great educator. A lot of reading and studying however, he managed to make a difficult course enjoyable. Clear criteria and expectations. There are no surprises on the exams.
Dr Veltri does an amazing job at teaching A & P. He goes above and beyond to make sure students are learning the material. He is always eager to help with any questions or concerns I may have. I would highly recommend him to future students.
Dr Veltri brought life into anatomy and physiology. He presented the course with a certain passion not often seen at the university. Always willing to help
i take great pleasure in doing this survey, Dr Veltri is a awesome professor who listens, explained things to make you understand,he is funny and make the class fun to attend, but most of all he "TEACHES", if you study the information of the notes you will pass the class.I would recommend Dr Veltri to anyone. Thank you professor "YOU ROCK".
Amazing professor, wish i could take him again for A+P 2. Goes a little fast during lecture, but record his lectures and you will be fine. Gives an excellent exam review, learn exactly what he gives in the review and you will pass all exams. Old school well respected professor - i wish they had him teaching A+P 2 also.
Dr Veltri unlike most teachers during my college courses was real in his approach and expectations. He is very serious regarding student growth and development. His ability to teach material allowed me to develop an understanding of very difficult material in my Anatomy and Physiology 1 course. A must teacher if you can get into his lecture class!!
Dr. Veltri is a great professor. I highly recommend him. My suggestion is to purchase the textbook that comes with the ebook option. The ebook option has a quiz and test for every chapter in the book as well as animated videos. This class requires max. effort. Read the book, show up to class, listen during lecture, & make solid flashcards.
Dr Veltri helped me develop the language of Anatomy and Physiology. Being from another country Dr veltri took the time to assist me by suggesting the recording of his lectures. I was able to review this at night although difficult I developed confidence as the course went om. I thank him for being a great teacher and wonderful person!!
Prof Veltri is a good person and an excellent teacher. Very knowledgeable. can be sometimes a little fast when speaking but will slow it down when asked. Always willing to help students with class material.
Dr. Veltri is a one of a kind teacher. Highly educated and really helpful when it comes to learning a tough subject. He cares about his student taking their time to learning the material, His exams are exactly what he states them to be, he prepares his students for each exam in a great way! His information is so similar to the textbook it amazes me
Professor Veltri is an excellent teacher. The subject matter Anatomy 7 Physiology 1 is notoriously challenging but he communicates his learning objectives are clear and goes to great lengths to help students understand the underlying language of the content to foster a much firmer comprehension of each unit through the semester. Register his class!
Dr Veltri propels students in the classroom to use critical thinking skills. His focus is on vocabulary and application of understanding content and concepts. He utilizes power points classroom drawings and is extremely motivating. Any student wishing to succeed needs to take his class. None better!!
I am so glad I am in Dr Veltri's Anatomy and Physiology 2 lecture. The material is difficult and i have a language barrier, but he helps me breaks it down in the simplest manner for us using lecture so I can apply information. Not sure of my grade but He gives me the best opportunity to attempt Nursing School next few years!
Dr Veltri is a caring individual who ultimately is vested into his students academic growth and success. This A & P course is harder than I imagined. My professor is not only knowledgeable but presents a realistic approach to learning. He is extremely demanding and at the same time promotes student achievement. Grateful to for all his efforts!!
Dr Veltri expects the best of every student in terms of being motivated and prepared. He exemplifies everything a college professor provides in terms of commitment, explanation and knowledge.
Anatomy and Physiology 2 is no laughing matter. The course work is difficult challenging and can be overwhelming. Make sure to take this professor if you want to learn but make sure you are ready to read focus and participate. The best professor!!!!
Dr Veltri provided through this difficult pandemic support and constant encouragement. His class lectures which are great tough a lot information were missed when we started distant learning. Dr Veltri provided various opportunities and strategies to maintain our learning. Will miss him great teacher!!
Dr Veltri I just wanted to say thanks for a great semester. The last part was unfortunate but class with you was great. You were very straight forward with the material and made the semester great. I only wish all professors were like you!
As an ENT and in the process of working toward my nursing degree I need to state a fact. Dr Veltri beyond his exceptional knowledge lecturing and instruction brought light to a difficult and strenuous Anatomy and Physiology 2 course. During this pandemic Dr Veltri always was outstanding delivering strategies to learn and build unwaverinconfidence
Dr Veltri it was a pleasure having you as a professor. I don't do well with computers but you always explained thing to make them clear. Thank you for all that you do and thank you for having me as a student. You should teach Micro.
As hard as online learning can be for some people & the course itself, he makes it even harder. He refuses to record his lectures which is fine, But claims its not allowed when in reality other professors are doing it. Very sarcastic & rude, especially when people ask him to repeat himself. More concerned about students cheating than him teaching.
He is strict and can call you out during his lectures so be prepared. If he doesn't recive an answer he becomes sarcastic. He makes you remember so much in a month . Not the nicest teacher. Does not inspire you and is not the calmest.
I had Dr. Veltri for both A&P 1 and 2 in 2019. He was strict and old school but truly cared about making sure his students understood the material. I am currently in a nursing program & can honestly say that most of what I know is because of the way he taught his classes. Yes, he can be sarcastic but it helps. Be ready to type/write out long notes.
This would be my second time taking A&P 1, this time as an adult. Dr. Veltri is a great teacher, very old school, but he knows his stuff. He really does care about his students understanding the work, BUT if you don't put the effort in you will not pass. A&P is hard, and he wont baby you. Get ready to read and study hard!
Hes a very nice professor and his tests were very straightforward. Definitely study the textbook more than his powerpoints! He answers any questions you have but you do have to do a lot of outside work with the textbook to teach yourself!
Professor is amazing!! I really enjoyed having him as my A&P2 Lecture instructor. He just knows the material. He is an incredible person, very sweet, and makes you feel comfortable asking anything you want. The tests were a little tricky, but it worth and the information was totally given. Reading the book is important. I'd take him again!
HE IS SO NICE AND WONDERFUL
Dr Veltri on line course Anatomy and Physiology 1 was very difficult. During the course emphasized vocabulary understanding and reading comprehension. His lectures promoted a motivating ability to understand science concepts. Great Instructor!! regarding both an exceptional ability to explain concepts and processes.
Dr Veltri is a caring individual who ultimately is vested into his students academic growth and success. This past spring the Bio-Science on line course was harder than I imagined. My professor was not only knowledgeable but presents a realistic approach to learning.Dr Veltri promotes student achievement. Grateful to for all his efforts!!
Dr Veltri is a great professor. I learned a good amount of information on Science. Other than that, he really shows his enthusiasm toward the class which spikes our interest in the course. I would recommend this professor and wish he was able to teach all my classes. Dr Veltri takes his time in teaching and reviews until everyone understands.
Dr.Veltri should be an example for a lot of other professors in WCC. Anatomy and Physiology, for all the memorization and understanding of the course, Dr.Veltri applied all the initiative to help the students understand this difficult material that we have to cover in short period of time. I hope I can have Dr.Veltri for a Fall 2022 semester!
Dr Veltri is an amazing professor. His understanding of the course material was so well communicated. he made light of the concepts to real world understanding. Although he did not have office hours he was available on email and feedback was immediate not like many professors. Hope to have Dr Veltri in AP 1
Dr. Veltri is a great professor. I highly recommend him. My suggestion is to purchase the textbook for Bio Science The ebook option has a quiz and test for every chapter in the book as well as animated videos. This class requires max. effort. Read the book, show up to class, listen during lecture, & make solid flashcards.
Professor Veltri made Bio-Science on-line course that I was able to not only follow but understand. Throughout the summer semester I began to focus my learning instead of just trying to memorize information. Prof Veltri provided the opportunity to not only learn science but enjoy science something I highly recommend this teacher.
Professor Veltri provided many different methods tp better understand my Bio Science course. As a ESL student I have always had difficulty with no only English but with science language. Prof Veltri provided a different approach to my learning He was always available and willing to help out in any way. Great teacher and overall person.1 of kind!!
At the mid point of this difficult semester in Anatomy and Physiology 2 professor is great. As an ELL student the language is difficult enough and science vocabulary is brutal. Dr Veltri is outstanding- he responds quickly to any email, answers any questions and always makes himself available. I wish he were instructing another course at WCC.
He's a wonderful human being. He's caring and attentive to students. He goes through each concept meticulously. I'm graduating in December, and I'm taking A & P 2 in the spring because I really enjoyed his class.
Dr Veltri always has his students interest at heart. He is always willing to respond to questions whether in class at night with an email or over the weekend. He is someone who is old school tough informative but fair!! He is very knowledgeable and one of most inspiring lecturers during my college career!! .
Dr Veltri, for being more than just an A&P teacher to your students, a mentor as well & a kind heart. Thank you for making A&P understandable & fun to learn. Though we shared tears through the stress, our laughter made up for it & was all worth meeting you all. I'll always carry this experience with me & the knowledge you shared with us as well.
It is such an honor to be your student. You have been my mentor for the past two years and i am so grateful for you! . No wonder why every student wants to be in your class. Moreover, thank you for your guidance and support I wouldn't have made it so far. I once again thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Dr Veltri I know I keep saying thank you over and over but I really mean it. Please don't stop teaching! because you making a difference in a lot of people lives and as you see the world is going upside down, we need a Professor like you to say it the way it is.
This is my second semester with Dr.Veltri and I wish he would teach more classes that are in the future. Dr.Veltri is an amazing professor, mentor, and human. He cares, wants students to do well and he teaches with love to the subject. You have to work hard in his class, but he encourages everyone. I highly recommend Dr.Veltri.
Dr. Veltri is awesome... He goes over all of the material that he expects you to know and relates it to real medical practice to help you remember it.
Dr Veltri I wanted to thank you for a great semester. I thoroughly enjoyed this classA & P 1 was a higher level course. Your topics and assignments were a reflection of your wealth of knowledge as well as a direction of preparing for our ofutures and the potential "what ifs" we may encounter. Thanks again- Hope to see you in the Fall!!
Dr. Veltri, You seem to be a person of great character with an over arching concern for the human plight. I was so moved by your compassion toward people and willingness to help- everyone in our class Your passion for teaching is clear. Your knowledge and presentation was a priviledge-you imparted invaluable information.
Dr Veltri Thank you for an amazing semester. Was very nervous heading into the A & P 1 course . I had heard you were old school tough. I found you to be very real in your approach to instruct and learn a difficult subject. You were always available to answer any question and maintain a certain level of respect to students . Thank you-great teacher!
I'm honestly confused as to why he has a 5/5 rating. He's an okay professor who just reads the powerpoint in an aggressive tone. He does give reviews prior to exams, but sometimes the information given is conflicting to what is on the actual exam. I think you can do well in his class, but with a lot of outside studying.
Doc Veltri's tests are 40 questions each with the final being 80 questions. The material is tough, have to do ALOT of outside studying. Feels like sometimes he doesnt go over all the material that will be on the te, reading the texbook and powerpoints is a must. Doesnt explain things well
Would not rec
He goes over the slides he provides. He grades in a timely manner. You have to go to class to pass. The slides alone will not be enough for you to get an A in this class. You will have to read the textbook and/or study outside material. He doesn't give review questions but he'll review what you're expected to know for each exam. Can be confusing.
Prof was ok...He comes in, reads the power point, the rest is up to you to study the that chapters and slides. Basically, you gotta teach yourself. He is very nice and funny. I can tell he is passionate about biology since he is a retired doctor. I recommend this to people who rather self study and take the only 4 exams in the semester. No hw no bs
