Our professor left partway through the semester, and he was replaced with Dr B. He's not a bad teacher per se, he definitely knows what he's talking about, but I just can't seem to pay attention in his class no matter how hard I try.
Quirky sense of humor, which helps. Attend every class!!! If you seek out help he will always respond to you. Don't buy the textbook, he posts the slides directly from it on BB. 3 tests (first one is hard), 3 surprise quizzes (not that hard) and lots of extra credit. Review notes every day! H
I really enjoyed Professor Battisteli. He really cares about his students and is helpful whenever there is an issue. He is a pleasure to listen to during lectures and his exams are fairly easy. I would recommend him.
Dr.B is not the best professor. He does make jokes and gives extra credit but he doesn't really teach what are on the exams. You have to be self-motivating to do well in the class because your textbook will be your teacher of the exam information. He's not the worst but also not the best.
SO our professor (Hamed) randomnly left mid semester and was replaced with Dr. B. I mean he was okay, but I wanted Professor Hamed back. Dr. B wasn't as clear as what was gonna be on the test and I got better grades with Hamed. Don't like the crosswords he makes us do (annoying) I forgot I was in middle school. Wish he taught like my old professor
His tests are poorly written and the material taught never seems to be on it. The only homework ever assigned is a couple of crosswords, nothing that truly helps you learn. He gives no review sheets or practice exams and makes the final cumulative (17 chapters!) He is slow at posting grades and he has no control over the classroom.
test questions are vague and obscure. tests feel like walking into an execution. grading system makes it very difficult to keep a good grade in the class. wouldn't recommend him as a prof
He's a nice guy, gives extra credit here and there. Makes jokes. He wants us to do well, but honestly its almost impossible to do well with the tests that he gives.
After Dr. B took our class over, I attended the class maybe twice. Dr. Hamed was much funnier and more enjoyable; Dr. B always had a bad attitude while I was there. He gives a lot of extra credit, though, and I thought the tests were extremely easy, even if you forgot to read the textbook, it was mostly common sense.
I would not recommend Dr. B as a professor. His tests are confusing and do not match what he says they will be on, or lectures on. He is slow replying to emails & does not appear to want to be in class. Even though I put in a large amount of effort into the class, & science is my best subject I found it extremely difficult to succeed in his class.
Bio 101. It's a lot of material to go over, but Prof. Battistelli tries to keep it interesting. Gives extra credit opportunities and has study sessions. I thought I was gonna get a C at first, but once I cracked down and stopped skipping, I ended with an A.
He is funny and nice. The class is not difficult at all if you study and read the book.
I had to retake biology due to a poor professor. Battistelli was hilarious and made the Biology lectures interesting. He also offers extra credit occasionally, which helped me reach a B. You do have to study for the tests, but they aren't too difficult, although they are clicker tests, which I don't like.
Dr. Battistelli is a great and interesting professor. There is a lot of material to be covered, so make sure you study and attend SI sessions if possible for extra help. He also offers extra credit once in a while. The class is super easy if you put forth the effort
He has a monotone that makes it really hard to pay attention. Only things we're graded on are tests w/ a few other small assignments. If you don't do well on the tests, you're pretty much screwed. Attendance isn't mandatory & he's let out class 30 min early multiple times. I pay good money at vcu so I don't want my time wasted. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
Dr.B is a fun, and engaging professor. He explains the concepts clearly, and gives detailed test prep. My only complaint would be fluctuating test difficulties. Some of his exams were challenging while others were extremely easy. He's relatively new to teaching, so it is understandable that he hasn't mastered the art of test making quite yet.
Just ok. His lectures consist of power points taken directly from the book, so class attendance is not mandatory. Pretty good at answering questions in class and has several SI leaders that hold a lot of sessions for extra help.
Dr. B is very bright, and he is very passionate about science. If you ask a question, he will do his best to explain everything to you. He is a new professor so I think he's still working out all the kinks. Overall, I think he will be a great asset to VCU. He's a nice man, and wants to help you learn.
Not the best professor to take but I slid by with a B. I had a hard time paying attention to him in lectures but the material in Bio101 is pretty simple so I taught myself everything. Tests are based mostly on what he puts on his powerpoints so this can easily be a self-taught class.
Battistelli is awesome! Some parts of this class are difficult, so don't be discouraged if you're not doing very well at the beginning. I got a D on the first test; I'm about to finish the semester with an A. Battistelli makes it easy to improve your grade and once you learn how to study for this class, you'll be fine.
Battistelli is a great professor and he really cares about his students. There was plenty of extra credit to make up for the fact that Exams 2 and 3 were much harder than Exams 1 and 4 (1 and 4 were so straightforward). I recommend to record lectures and listen to them and take notes while studying for the exams bc his slides could use some work
Loved Dr. Battistelli! He always made lectures funny and interesting! I would love to take another one of his classes again! Just go to class and study and you'll be fine.
He is so funny! I never stopped laughing during class. As long as you read and remember the things in the textbook you will do well because he takes his questions straight from the text. He is very clear and extremely helpful. There are also lots of easy assignments online to boost your grades!
This professor is really full of life and interesting. Really funny too. The class itself is really hard but if he read the textbook and do the mastering bio you should be okay.
I would say his lectures are boring, his syllabus says no extra credit but he gave plenty of it, drops the lowest test, if you read over the slides you're sure to pass. attendance not required he posts all lectures and notes. You can tell he loves what he does, he has a sarcastic attitude that you cant help but LOVE !!
Read the textbook and go over the power point lectures. Go to the SI sessions, they are really helpful. Dr. B is a great teacher just go to class and pay attention.
Dr. B knows his stuff, that's for sure; but, he often confuses himself in lecture and thus confuses the students. His tests are difficult and he doesn't hold review sessions or give out study guides, so you're on your own. He is also a fan of incredibly ambiguous multiple choice questions. I struggled way more in this class than was necessary.
Dr. B is relatable and funny, so he is good at keeping moral high. Otherwise, his tests are extremely difficult. Sometimes he confuses himself, and makes lecture difficult. The text book is MANDATORY, and if you want to pass you need to go to SI sessions, read the book, and go to class.
Reading the book!!
His assignments are straight forward and really help you for the tests. Tip: READ the chapters on the test and use his PPT as guidance for what to stress on. Reading the textbook will make it easier to get passed his tricky multiple choice tests. Easily approachable and willing to help any time you ask. Quickly responds to emails too.
This class was possibly one of the hardest I have ever taken. If you don't come into the class with a strong biology background, expect to spend 2 hours a day on just his class in order to get a B or better. Reading the textbook daily is essential to passing. Lecture consists of him reading directly off slides & confusing himself. Tests are tricky.
Great Biology teacher; he knows his stuff and he has a hilarious personality that makes his lectures even more interesting. The tests are tough, so definitely read the textbook (reading the chapter before the lecture helps a TON). Other than that, no tedious and unnecessary work.
Dr. B is definitely knowledgeable, but I found his lectures boring at times. He does crack a few jokes here and there, but attendance is not mandatory, and if you read the textbook and power point slide you will do fine! Be careful of the exams though, he tends to do tricky multiple choice questions. Dr. B is good with answering questions too!
If you read the book you will be fine on the test but some questions are a bit tricky
Dr. B's class was a bit tough, but he's one of the best choices for BIOL151. His lectures don't really help because he always contradicts himself, but sometimes he will stress certain points or repeat certain things, signifying that there's a question about it on the test. Read textbook & ppts for the tests. A few online assignments before exam.
His lecture is straight from textbook examples, quotes, and definitions, and attendance isnt mandatory. soo essentially if you retain information from reading well, you get to skip every, single, last, class without detriment! Tests are mult choice but can get seriously vague and ambigious, so make sure you know material inside out. Avoid if can.
Don't expect this to be an easy class. Tests are always based around the textbook. Dr. B is very confusing during his lectures. No clickers, don't have to attend lectures. He gives assignments online with plenty of tries. His exams are hard, you must read the textbook in order to pass this class, if you don't open it you will likely fail his exams.
If you're used to rigorous classes, you'll do fine. I took IB in high school and it's on the same level. If you REALLY want to get an A, you'll get an A. I barely retained any info during lectures, but I worked hard on the assignments, crammed the night before the test, and ended up with an A. Will answer questions fully and is very approachable.
One of the hardest and most boring classes I have ever taken. Way to big of a class.
Please go into this class knowing it's an uphill battle. With that being said he is a funny and nice person generally. Lots of lengthy and obscure online assignments and a strange essay. YOU MUST read the book. He can be very contradictory in class so I suggest to just read the book thoroughly. All ppt slides online. This will blow, trust me.
This was a tough class. I easily put in 3 or 4 times the amount of time that my other classes required with reading the textbook. The work paid off though. He drops the lowest exam and the lowest homework. Also offers extra credit on exams a few times throughout the semester. I would definitely take again
You definitely need to work hard for an A! Some of his questions can be very tricky. No need to attend the class if you are willing to read every chapter in the book.
He's so confusing during lectures, I probably listened to his first 3 lectures and then just brought the textbook to class and read that during class. Such a hard class, don't take if you don't have to! It will bring your GPA down.
Battistelli gives lectures using power points that are posted online. I found that taking notes on the power point as he lectured was an effective way to highlight the important information that would most likely be on a test. This course requires a significant amount of studying for the tests, but it is possible to achieve an A.
Dr. Battistelli's power points are just pictures from the textbook which he explains in a manner that is very difficult to follow. He confuses himself in class, leading to students mystified on the course material. 80% of your grade are your exam scores (which are very tough). Offers many extra credit opportunities to help boost your grade.
Battistelli's expects his students to learn from looking at pictures. If you want to learn you will definitely have to teach yourself. His test are super ambiguous, so you really do earn your grade. However he does offer a fair amount of extra credit towards the end of the course.
Battistelli is one of the better 151 teachers, but he still is tough. Make sure to spend time on the assignments, as all of them put together is an exam grade. You have to read the textbook, and memorize his powerpoint slides if you want an A. The final is optional. His tests are all multiple-choice, but difficult. You must know the info inside out
If u want an A get ready to replace ur GF with the textbook. Going to lectures help clarify the hard topics within the textbook. Most of the tests are based on his PP. PP only give you an overview of the test questions the textbook will help you answer them correctly. Test format is multiple choice EX A, B, C, D pick all that apply no read u get F
Battistelli is new to teaching and you can tell. It's obvious that he is very knowledgeable about the subject, but he has a hard time conveying it in lecture. The only reason I got an A in the class was because I read each chapter and took notes before the exams. This was way more helpful than paying attention to his confusing lectures.
You have to read the textbook very carefully. Battistelli's class requires way more effort than it's worth. I spent at least 2 hours a day studying for his class. Make sure you go to preceptor sessions. Those saved my grade.
I absolutely loved him! Although he is not very clear in some areas and jumps around a lot during lectures. He is very good, and funny. His tests are very vague at times but he gives you some extra credit. You have to read the textbook a lot to really understand what he's talking about. He uses a lot of pictures and visual aids.
Dr. B is a colorful character, and always lights up a lecture with humor or small anecdotes. He does get a bit confusing at times, and the Blackboard assignments are also sort of confusing. Read the textbook, and go to class to ask questions about the online assignments and you'll be fine.
Buy the online textbook, read it thoroughly, and take good, detailed notes. Study those notes extremely well. If you believe going to class means you understand the material, college will be very tough for you.
The textbook is life. If you try hard enough, there is enough plush to get an A even if you dont do so well on the tests. Definitely do the Hw assignments, they are great grade boosters.
Battistelli's class isn't that bad once you learn how to study for his tests. His notes are based 100% on the book, so I just ended up taking book notes and getting A's on the tests without going to class much. He's a nice guy, and his tests are fairly straightforward if you read the book. Would have taken him for 152 if I could have!
If you have to take Biol151 and you are on a pre health track I really recommend taking Battistelli. Just read the book and show up to class and you should be fine. Spring semester isn't over, but I have gotten As on the first two exams. I really have nothing bad to say about him. He is nice and extremely funny.
He is one of the most humorous professors I've seen at VCU! I would recommend his class to anyone because his assignments and tests are a breeze if you read the textbook. Make sure to come to class, but it's okay to skip here and there. His tests are straightforward so make sure to read!!! I wish he taught 152 :( but overall, really good professor!
Battistelli is overall a good professor but can be tough if you do not read the textbook. He gives assignments to help boost your grade and drops the lowest exam grade. With that being said his exams are made to deceive people. I have seen questions on his test with nine different answer choices! you have to study a lot to get a good grade.
His tests are based on his lecture notes. Didn't touch the textbook. Online homework is not hard since he prints the activity in class and spends one class period on it before exams. Exams have extra credit. Drops lowest test scores so essentially you can skip the final. Lectures are a little boring. Go to SI sessions, which should help.
If you don't read the textbook, you won't get a great grade. He uses advanced language, and basically doesn't dumb it down. If you ask, he will help you out a little but otherwise he won't
Dr. Battistelli was honestly very confusing. His class is the very first class I've failed in my lifetime. He's a great person, but his lectures are so confusing because he jumps from topic to topic and he bases his tests on his lectures and asks very tricky questions on the test, which doesn't help you. Would not take again.
Very funny in his lectures but has a very advanced vocabulary on the topic which confuses most students because it's usually their beginning bio class. His tests are VERY CONFUSING so you MUST read the textbook and come to class! He makes you work for the grade but takes out the lowest exam grade and gives extra credit at the end for assignments
Professor Battistelli is very helpful when sought after and wants the best for his students, you just need to show interest and dedication. Even after I left the school, he was quick to help me. His final is based on the past tests.
Battistelli's tests are very difficult. You MUST read the textbooks and study consistently. I would definitely recommend going to preceptor review sessions and his office hours. He is always open to help. Again, you MUST read the textbook and pay attention to his lectures!!!
A way to succeed in this class: Watch khan academy about the topic he will cover (or read textbook but you won't really understand) - attend lectures - take good notes from lectures+slides+textbook after lecture. He will mostly go over textbook but it'd be hard to focus+understand if you aren't prepared for it. Good luck. It's hard but worth it.
Some may claim Batistelli is hard but he is not hard, the material is. He curved tests and was very understandable during lectures but if you don't work for it, you won't get a good grade.
His lectures were pretty boring, he is very monotoned so it is hard to keep your attention on what he is saying. He randomly picks pictures out of the textbook without giving explanations so if you go by his slides you really need to pay attention. I mostly only read the book and did wonderful in his class. Clicker questions he gives really help
Study lectures and the textbook or suffer the consequences. 4 exams plus an optional final. These exams are graded heavily so I suggest studying throughout the whole course. He's cool and fun, material is interesting, but earning an A is tough.
This class became so hard because exams now have short answer. i would of had an A
He's not horrible; he tries to make jokes in class. It's the material that is hard, and the amount of time you have to learn it. He also goes through about 60-65 slides in 50 minutes; get ready for hand cramps.
The lecture needs to be more organized, because there were typos in the presentation but no one would really hear the corrections. The tests vs free responses is a drastic difference. The tests are fairly challenged in the perfect way, but the free response has very obscure/trick questions that are the small crevices of power points no one reads
He is getting harder each semester. When my friend took him a year ago it was very easy. Now he has in-class questions that he does not explain and count as points based on correctness rather than participation. If you want an A, it is definitely possible. READ the chapters BEFORE the class. The tests are half online and short answer in class.
The class lectures were not that helpful in preparing for the exams. His exams are so specific and the in class essays lowers everyone's grades. If you read the textbook and take good notes using the textbook then getting an A is possible.
He's probably the easiest bio professor you could take. Exams are take home (except the free response which is really hard but only 30% of grade) His test questions are directly off his powerpoints so make sure you know them. He gives extra credit and drops the lowest exam and 2 assignments. Attendance mandatory.
Battistelli has promise but is still learning and developing. I came to class only because there are A LOT of in-class assignments that can mess up your grade, but most of my learning was done from the textbook (I just prefer it that way). Funny, but tries too hard sometimes. He is enthusiastic and fun and will be a great professor one day
Dr.B is one of the easier 151 teachers and I do recommend him. He may not be super easy, but the subject in general is just hard. I could not pay attention to him lecture to save my life so I did self teach myself a lot of the course. I did not use the textbook as much because he had detailed slideshows of everything in the chapter which he posts.
BEWARE of this professor. Get ready to teach yourself all of the material and struggle through difficult exams and trick questions on tests. no flexibility in his grading. No extra credit and does not drop the lowest test score and tests are worth everything. impossible to pay attention during lecture. nice guy but terrible teacher!
This class was super hard and Dr. B won't make it any easier for you. There were couple of online multiple-choice questions that had nothing to do with the material covered. and in-class short answers exam kills your grade, yet they are not impossible. VERY HARD CLASS but definitely worth it.
Literally the worst professor I've ever had. Homework assignments are so open-ended, so it's so hard to figure out what type of answer he wants. Exams are RIDICULOUSLY hard. It's like he's actively trying to fail his students.
Oh man here we go. Came into this semester hopeful and let's just say my dreams were crushed. Going to lecture is a waste of time. Except for the TopHat points which he claims you can get an A just for participating, but that's a lie. Be prepared to teach yourself. Your textbook is your best friend. And so are the people in your class. Good luck.
if you're a science major at VCU all i will say is that Battistelli is one of the good ones. There are some of the most terrible teachers in this department but I promise if you do your work for this guy, you will be fine!
Dr. Battistelli is the best Biology teacher in the Department. He gives you the tools to pass , the rest is up to you. I would take 152 with him in heart beat but he does not teach the Class. Take him and you will never regret it but be ready to read and work for your grade. He is very clear and very helpful outside the Class.
Dr. B isn't the best at lecturing, and granted a lot of the material you do have to go over by yourself after class. However, HE GIVES SO MUCH EXTRA CREDIT. You may have a C, but can end up with an A based on extra credit from going to preceptor sessions/attending class. At the end of the sem, he made 85-100 be an A!!!
I took Micro over the summer. He is really funny, he makes sure you have a clear understanding about whats going to be on the test. Sometimes his questions can be tricky. He gives assignments before the test so you know what to focus on. Read the slides, his test questions are from the slides. He was great! I loved his personality!
Great professor for micro this semester. I got a B- in cell bio and got an A+ in micro. You can study the same way you did for cell bio. Just read and memorize all of his slides and you can pass with an A. Hillarious professor and super understanding about grades. if you can't get an A after everything he offers its on you
He is nice and funny and I enjoyed him for micro. It is absolutely necessary to come to each class and record his lectures because he will say stuff in class that will not be in the book but will be on the exam. Best advice: read the book, take notes and record lectures, and study a few times a day
Dr B is funny as hell so lectures which you NEED TO ATTEND go by rather quickly. He stopped giving unit exams, 75% of grade is off weekly quizzes or assignments 25% is final. Class can be an easy B and fairly easy A if you put the time in. I don't think I would recommend him for a 151 class but if you are at 300 level hes good. I would take again.
Dr B is a great professor and really cares about his students. His quizes are kind of difficult but the homework (weighted the same) makes up for it. Go to class. He says stuff thats not on the slides that will be on the quiz/final. One test, and it was the final.
There are 7 quizzes, 7 assignments (online on BB), and a final (25% of grade). The assignments are practically easy A, if you have trouble just show up to some preceptor sessions. Quizzes are more difficult. All multiple choice on quiz/final. Interesting course, not too hard. Just write what he says and you'll do fine. He gave us a lot of ExtraCrdt
Prof Battistelli really makes an online class about statistics and bio interesting. His weekly updates will help you get through with a smile on your face. The class isn't very hard, just a lot of reading and quiz taking. Final is only worth 10% of your grade though so do well in the class and you'll definitely pass.
Easy class
One of the BEST professors ever in my undergraduate career ! Batistelli actually teaches you what you need to know not only for the test but in the future. Gives extra credit and he always tests you directly from the lecture ! No need to read the text unless but it is useful for referencing the figures from his slides. Other than that it's so easy!
he takes FOREVER to grade test/quiz and he would give us these assignments that even he wouldn't know how to answer even tho he made the assignment lol
He's very sweet! Love his teaching style! Loved his class! But watch out, His quizzes are very hard!
Very poor lecturerer (disorganized and tangents) and powerpoints do not include detailed information that is on the test. I found that just reading the book and going to review sessions was more helpful than his lectures. Included assignments that were not going to be tested on which did not make sense
He's really great for BIOL200. The class is hard, but I asked him through email a lot and his responses were great, very thorough, explained things well, helped me understand the material. I would definetly recommend him for BIOL200! Aweful class, great professor, at least for this class.
Dr.B is a good guy, his class though can be very confusing. His exams are pretty straight forward if you have been keeping up throughout the course., if not you will definitely fail. He is manageable.
He was incredibly unorganized. The only reason I did well in this class was because of our TA.
The class wasnt too hard. He posts all the lectures and notes online, very useful. Not too much extra credit in class but if you attend preceptors you can get some points. He is funny and passionate too. His quizzes are very fair and no tests! Yay! I recommend him for sure.
I am currently enrolled in Dr. B's Micro Lab and he has NO content posted for the semester yet. He won't give us any information about when stuff will be posted and keeps making excuses about it. Do NOT take his lab if you don't want to waste your money... Very disorganized- I've contacted the head of the Bio Dept. to pursue this issue it's so bad.
Not sure why he disappeared on us mid-semester to pile a unit on us last minute before a final exam, but be wary of taking his class. Easy class, but the inconvenience is not worth it.
You have an assignment-quiz and a test due every two weeks (canvas). gives you about two days to submit after the due date and he gives you a chance to gain extra credit if you submit the quiz and test before or on the due date. The quiz has three chances and he takes the average score while the test has two chances and he takes the highest score.
This class was really easy to pass and I would definitely take it again
This class is boring and you won't learn anything, but between the open notes, the given powerpoints, lecture transcripts, extra credit, and multiple attempts, it's hard *not* to get an A. If the above is changed, run. Textbook wasn't actually necessary.
The professor basically disappeared for a few weeks in the middle of the semester and did not put any assignments up which put us behind, then our work in the second half of the semester was heavier than in the beginning because we had to catch up. Not a hard class, just confusing because I kept thinking I was missing something. Not worth the money
This professor is SO unorganized, I was shocked! In the middle of the semester he completely disappeared and didnt post any assignments. A month later he dumped all the assignments on us and just when I thought I had finished the class, he breaks the news that theres a final and assignment on december 21 when the semester has long been over?
He made it very obvious he was just going through the motions, he could care less about teaching this subject. The homework and quizzes were alright. He stopped posting any lecture material for about 4 weeks and then all of a sudden posted SO many things to keep up with. The final was the most amount of questions I've ever done in my life.
If you want a quick grade, sure take him online. If you want to learn; find another professor or in another semester. Without any explanation, the professor disappeared for 4-5 weeks and doubled the course load for the remaining weeks. The quizzes are tough if you do not study but make sure you turn things on time as the late policy really hits!
He simply doesnt care and doesnt teach. If you take him asynchronously you will hear from him once in the beginning and never again. If you try to contact him through email know that its useless as he will give you short blunt answers where he just quotes the syllabus.
Requires far too much work for a 1 credit class. Professor doesn't care about teaching the material and does not prepare you for tests well. Avoid taking with this professor if possible.
the TA was the real teacher as we never heard from him
Dr. Battistelli is a good professor. YES! the first 3 assignments are the hardest but 4-8 are VERY interesting if you are passionate about biology and healthcare. The class was online but he tells you EVERYTHING you need to know for the assignments, just listen carefully and TAKE notes. Overall, good professor, replies to emails and is very funny.
Professor B's course is quite work heavy. Buying the textbook is a must as without it you wont be able to complete quizzes or essays. The main stress of the course is just the amount of work that goes into completing the quizzes and essays. Taking the course online seems like the way to go. Class is pretty manageable if you stay on top of it.
Easy A All answers are on that C site with orange color. 8 chapter quizes and a final exam , you can fail 1 or 2 chapters and still get an A, just study like 10 mins a day and you will get an A
This is an online course and I really wish it wasn't. This guy actually can't read to save his life. He recycles the same videos that he's uploaded in the past but he's so dull in them, pauses for no reason, and really never gets down to the point. Would rather just teach myself than listen to him
Every answer is online on a website that rhymes with leg.
Dr. Battistelli, is a nice guy, but he does give a lot of work. I suggest reading the textbook and looking through it as you complete assignments.
This man clearly does not understand that this is not the only class we are taking, but then again a lot of the bio professors don't. Half of his lecture stuff, especially for modules 1-3, are not even on the assignments and quizzes.
Easy A class. Just graded on homework and quizzes that you can find answers easily. Only have 1 exam, the final, that's only worth 10% of ur grade.
His lectures are not great but group work very easy, exams easy (lets you use a cheat sheet, forgets to put lockdown browser on so you can use internet). Overall not hard at all but if you want to understand bio you're gonna need to do outside learning.
The professor has a somewhat disorganized teaching style, but the class is manageable overall. Use Unstuck study and the free textbook to supplement the lectures and stay on top of assignments. Grades are decent if you put in the effort.
tests reflect the material well and he lets you bring a one-pager to every test, assignments are easy and often can be done with a group, lectures are a little slow but very in depth and listening to lectures will help you in the long run. textbook is online, overall very caring professor and always happy to help individuals.
honestly king. course was not hard at all and most quizzes were open note. just pace yourself with the course and you will get an A. 2 attempts on literally everything including the final. lectures are very clear and well made too, he seems to be genuinely interested in what he is teaching.
He's really just okay. Class is all lecture, but it's really just him reading from a slideshow so honestly there's no reason to go to class. Grading criteria is confusing and never super clear, and he will wait until the very last minute to post homework assignments or anything that will be vital to help you on your exams.
Dr B is wonderful; you will gain too much information in this class which is so helpful for future studies. too much homework and too many quizzes which is very good and helpful to get an A. only one exam (final exam) just 10% of your grade.
Only a few assignments and quizzes per week, and more than enough time to complete them. 2 attempts for everything, including cumulative final. If needed, he will extend due dates. No need for textbook, he has in-depth powerpoints and videos.
