This Prof. was retired and came back. He really enjoys teaching and give good examples. A little boring but so is the material. Ask a lot of questions & help with demonstrations. Quizes and Tests are hard, but he goes over the answers before.

If this is the Dr. Boyle who teaches physics, he is undoubtedly the best teacher I have ever had. His textbook companion that he wrote is fantastic and really makes life easier.

Prof. Boyle is a wonderful man! He teaches physics!! hard and horrible material, yet he still makes it enjoyable becuase he's funny and plesent! I would defenitly recomend him. It's just a tough subject to teach.

He's an extremely nice and accomodating teacher with great stories. He's very easy to understand. The text tends to differ from his style of problem solving, but his tests match his lectures. Take good notes and you'll ace it easily.

Boyle is a trip-his stories will make the class so much more interesting.he always has students' attention... his tests are somewhat difficult(beware of the dreaded multiple choice).He has a tendancy to breeze through some information, and doesnt go back over itm so pay attention.He genuinely cares for his students and does what he can to help you

Boyle is FUNNY while getting the point across! Reminds me of Robin Williams. Difficult class, but this is PHYSICS. He's fair and will always have your have your attention! I took him over 15 yrs ago but think of him often when I talk to people regarding my scholastic years. I pray for more teachers like him. May GOD guard him and his family.

The only reason I passed this class is because of him. I took this in summer and another prof taught the first six weeks which I had an F. Professor Boyle assured me that if I attended class and showed improvement he would take this into account. I had an A avg the second six weeks and got a C. GREAT PROF...

He is a wonderful professor and explains all the points very thourghly i took him in the summer w/ another professor who taught the first 3 weeks both of them were great but Boyle's explanations and derviations are better He does keep you the entire class period but it's worth it if you want an A you'll get it.

hes funny. he tells many stories, some of which relate to physics and others which dont he gives 20pts extra credit, all test questions come from study sheets. makes physics fun great prof. i hope to take him again in phy2054

I took professor Boyle last semester(spring)He was the Most helpful professor I ever had.He cares if you are struggling and really devotes his office hours to extra help.I loved his class and actually learned a lot about Physics.He is a wonderful teacher and his classes are more like a lab bbecauses he demonstrates to help you understand.AWESOME!

Extremely nice professor. He makes the material fun and interesting. Tests are not that hard if you study, but they are not that easy. The material is difficult, and he doesn't give any freebies, but he's so sweet and so willing to help. He tries to make the material easier and relate it to your life, and his tests are strictly on what you did on the notes. He's hilarious, I recommend him.

AMAZING PROFESSOR!!!!!! The best professor I've ever had!!!!! He's very funny and silly (which does help in this difficult class). He is there to help you if you ask. Absolutely the best physics teacher at MDC. He is an all around great person. His classes are fun and interesting and all his stories (there are MANY) relate somehow or another to the material taught. This class is an easy A. Show up & turn in lab reports- you're set!

Excellent professorr! Initially I thought to cancel the class because I'm very shy and he questions a lot! However, the best I did was NOT cancel his class. He explains each exercise step by step and the exams are based on the same exercises as explained in class, if you study what he does in classes, you will not have problems with the exam.

Excellent professor. Physics is stressful, but he does everything easier. The test are based on the same as he gives in class. He likes his students go well. A little talkative, likes to tell stories, but makes the time pass faster during class. I recommend him to everyone.

Great professor, he is a REALLY nice old man. Tells alot of funny silly stories and really likes to interact with students. He explains clearly and will help or answer questions before, after and during class or office hours. This guy is hilarious. He does his best to involve students in the lecture, and he makes physics accessible to even the most unenthusiastic science students. I found the lectures to be instructive and entertaining. I now feel prepared for whatever PHY 2048 has to offer.

Great professor, funny old physics guy. Made the class fun. He will call on you to read the problem out loud, then he'll keep calling on you that day. The 4 tests are hard and tricky, but easy grader. Gives extra credit homework to do which helps build points. He doesn't teach physics with calculus, but I wish he did.

Professor Boyle is so sweet, kind, and funny; not to mention he's extremely helpful. I was always happy to go to class. Physics is a tough subject, but he teaches in a way that makes it easy to understand. I wish I could take him for all my Physics classes. After 100 years of teaching he should have more than 56 reviews. He talks a lot- goes off topic- tells personal stories- he's just having a good time- that's what you do at his age :) Turn in your Labs, show up to class & practice the review for the final -gives you 11 questions to study and picks 5. You should get an A if you have review down pat!

This class is the hardest class that I ever took in my life. The professor is very helpful , and if you show interesting for the class he will help you to understand all the material, but be careful people think because he is a nice person, they can behave in a disrespectful way. Do not do that because for sure you will regret at the end.

He's very helpful and cares about his students passing. He goes off topic a lot so be prepared to hear stories about his life but other than that, he's a great professor. There's only 1 test (final) and the the rest are lab reports.

He is an amazing person! Teaches physics like a boss! Just make sure you pay attention to what is happening. He likes to tell A LOT of stories and tease his students (mostly the women). He knows what he's doing though. Every class you do a lab (5points) and then you have ONE final. He will go over the final for you as a review. You'll like him.

Prof. Boyle is amazing. I passed lab with an A. He wrote his own textbook, gave you every question that would be on final. Highly recommended. No homework, lab each class. He let us out an hour early every week. No complaints. He HELPS when you need it. LOVE HIM!

Best physics teacher a student could ask for. Subsequently took course at Ivy League school and dropped it so that I could take Proff Boyle in the summer again. He makes physics an attainable and comprehensive subject.

Best Physics Prof wrote both lecture &amp; lab manuals so he knows his stuff. Shares stories that are extremely relatable which breaks down the subject into layman terms. GRADING IS VERY CLEAR, all labs done in class with him, attendance counts &amp; only 1 final if youre there every day &amp; do the labs you can bomb the final &amp; STILL PASS!

He is very nice and loves to tell stories in class (He's like 80 so be ready to be patient), extremely easy class. You get one absence free but after that, they start to count against your grade. The only test is the final and he gives a packet with the worked out problems and picks 5 of those. He'll make inappropriate jokes but just go with it

Professor Boyle is easily the BEST professor I have taken. He cares about his students and really wants them to pass. The tests are a mix of multiple choice, fill-in-the blank and 2 extra credit short essay questions. He makes the class interactive by conducting experiments &amp; strives to keep us all entertained. Professor Boyle has been an amazing and sweet professor during the Covid-19 Pandemic. He has put a lot of effort into learning the technology for an online class and does really great. He has many stories to tell, is funny, and teaches physics very well. There are a few mistakes in the textbook, but he is very easy to reach with any questions.

Prof. Boyle, makes what is normally a difficult subject to many, easy to learn and grasp. He also is a hilarious teacher and will make you laugh. He really cares about his students, as he is a teacher teacher, not a researcher teacher. If you actually do the optional HW and watch his pre-recorded videos on blackboard you will succeed in the class.

Honestly the best Physics teacher you will ever take. He truly cares about his students and has all the patience in the world for his students.
