Mr braunwarth is one of the best teachers i have ver had he is motivating and makes the class interesting. this class does put a lot of responsibility on you as a student but it is worth it . best of all he treats you like a person and not just a student

How's he unclear on assignments? Tip: Read the Syllabus. It's all there. And if one's going to make simplistic political judgments, he wouldn't be "Traditional Right-Wing". If you'd done your reading assignments you'd see as much.

He knows how to pick politics apart, and he's not there to tell you what to do. Thank goodness soemone treats us like adults and allows us to think and comprehend "outside the box."

This course is well structured. Lectures availible online. He well begin class with current events. I would consider him very liberal, but he is friendly and his assignments are pretty clear. You will have to work in this class, but it can be very fun and rewarding in the end.

The comment about "his Right-wing view" must have been made by an F student... joe's a liberal. He is an awesome teacher and is VERY passionate about politics. If you don't want to learn and expect an easy A, you might as well drop out and work fast food. Take his classes if you want to learn.

Dr. Braunwarth is an amazing teacher. He is so excited about his subject that you become excited about it too. The tests are half multiple choice, half essay and you will do well if you study the study guides he provides.

I hafta READ the texts and be aware of current events to do well in this class?! Insanity! He expects too much! His exam study guides list exactly what'll be tested, but I hafta READ the TEXTS to know the answers?! Radical Braunwarth, pushing the limits of the average 6th grade reading level.

Braunwarth is a great professor. Even though he is a liberal he does not talk about it openly, and that is good. He is very funny and seems to enjoy teaching a lot...I wish I had to take more of his classes. Of course you need to read some to pass his class, but readings are pretty easy.

As long as you read the text, you'll do fine. very interesting, humourous, fun to learn.

Online class is a lot of work, he wrote the text you'll use, so he is more interested in your feedback on his brilliance than anything alse. That being said, the guy is pretty brilliant, I actually enjoyed the text. Beware of the final, your class grade can only be 1 grade level above final grade.

Doing the reading is a neccesity, if you are cool with that , take him he is a very entertaining prof. My only complaint is so much class time is taken by open class discussion, which I enjoyed, but left little time for covering material.

Braunwarth was a great professor.I hated politics when I went in and came out actually liking it.Quizzes are strange in the online class, it seems like you have to memorize the text to know the answer, but you can take them up to 3 times so it works.Very interesting, loves his subject.

Braunwarth is an extremely cool teacher. The problem is, he acts like he is too cool for school, and for teachers, thats never a good thing. It took the class a long time to get used to his tests. Make sure you master the Cuckoo's Nest movie, because thats all he talks about.

I took this class and received an "A." It is a required course to graduate SDSU and I'm glad I took it with him. He is smart, funny and easy to underststand.

Braunwarth is by far my favorite political science professor at Grossmont. Take him if you have the opportunity. He is brilliant and can easily help you understand complex readings. A really nice guy who will help you at anytime.

He is one of the most challenging teachers I have ever taken, which is refreshing specially when college, at least at grossmont seems to be highschool all over again. His class though it is easy, if you do all the reading and don't miss class. It is anyoing that all the girls at the class throw themselves to him all the time, and he owns it. Yeap he is hot, but I think that he is even a better teacher, sometimes though he prefers males opinions and gives somewhat of preference to them over female opinion.

This class was extremely boring. Unwilling to discuss topics that related to POLI-SCI. I've taken one of his other classes and enjoyed it, but this class I couldn't stand. Students who are not on the far left will tire of the calss discussions which can be really drawn out. You must attend all lectures and read the entire book. All test have essay

okay, so hes a great guy and he is very interesting but he is hard. essays are on every single one of his tests and if there is no homeowrk so if you fail the tests you failed the class. And also he expects you to read everything and i mean everything. you will not passthe class if you do not read. Not a class i for people who d lontike to read ALO

I thought the class was extreamly easy, and the professor down to earth. he is very funny and makes politic fun to learn. by just attending the class the exam will seam easy. He takes the best three exams out of four. the only time i read for this calss was the day before the exam. again this is an easy class for average students.

Easy class. He definately caters to those that have no interest in politics. If you actually care and want to do good YOU WILL GET A GOOD GRADE. He doesn't make much reference to the book but questions on the test do occur where you need to read the text. Overall really awesome teacher.

I enjoyed this class very much. Attendance is a must because he lectures the entire period, but he keeps you very interested. If you are foreign he will like you IMMEDIATELY especially if you are a female. Overall, hes a great teacher just make sure to read ALL of the assigned material and show up to class.

I loved this class. But political science interested me. Your grade is based on the best 3 test out of 4. Going to class is important and you will need to read. I got an A but I did have to study to earn it. Great teacher fair grader.

TONS of reading!!!!

Easy and interesting, we watched some cool videos, including School House Rock. He does a great job of keeping discussion even-handed and engaging, and really wants to hear the opinions of students. The tests are very fair, I didn't even buy the book and I did fine, but there ARE questions from the reading, so it's your call.

Since it was an online course I never actually met the guy, so I can’t really weather his nice or not in person. In the class you have to keep up with assigned readings, his very particular on stating sources for the bulletin boards and papers. Though he's hard he's also a fair instructor.

I took this class online and really enjoyed it. The material was clear, the work load was minimal and I learned a lot about U.S. Government and Politics.

A great teacher and a pretty easy class. There is a lot of reading, but it isn't necessary to do all of it for an A. You take 4 exams and he only counts 3 (including the final). So, work hard and then skip the final all-together.

I took this course online. I loved it. Weekly postings are necessary to keep your grades up, but Braunworth asks interesting and stimulatin questions for discussion and papers. If you just skim/read the material, the quizes and tests are easy. The book is GREAT, I've recomended it to people not even in college.

Proff. Braunwarth has great knowledge in Political Science. His assignments were fairly easy and his final counts mainly in the class. The best professor Ive takne in regards to polotics. He has written books, so you know where he comes from. Overall 5.0. I recommend taking his class if you really love your major.

Dr. Braunwarth is very knowledgeable in POSC. I took the hybrid class, so half was done online. Assignments fairly easy, but lots of reading. Exams in class a bit tough, because you learn so much and can't memorize it all. He should give a more condensed study guide so students could prepare better for the in class exams. Overall not bad though.

I went into his class with little to no understanding of Political Science and I personally learned a lot. However, if you're bad with remembering to do assignments it makes it rough since most of his classes are hybrid(half on campus, half online). I personally forgot to do a lot of my assignments. As far as teaching goes though, I recommend him.

I really enjoyed this class and I learned a lot. I took it online and you do have to work independently. There is a lot of reading and you have to put some effort into it. His grading is fair.

You need to read the material and remember it. Fill out the exam study guides as you read for your notes. He is a good and clear teacher, but indirectly causes you to come to his own conclusions and beliefs. He said he isn't liberal, but his thinking is very liberal, economically and socially. Overall, beneficial but not the best.

People who gave this guy a bad rating are nuts. Dr. Braunwarth is by far the favorite professor I have had in college. He's fair, and goes over a lot of material (Which I thought...is what we were all paying for anyway!) I don't understand why people complain about the amount of work involved or the difficulty...THIS IS COLLEGE for heaven's sake.

Took the online class. Harder than most online classes. Don't be scared off by first section, it gets easier. Quizes are difficult, gotta read. Set-up of the class is a little disorganized and look for mistakes on tests!Love the interactive text!He grades fairly.

Took this class online during the 6 week summer session. Weekly assignments/readings took me over 4 entire days per week to complete. I did learn a great deal. I am a straight A student and I got a B. Final includes very obscure questions. Overall, I thought he was consistently fair & generous when grading assignments/tests/participation.

This class was a lot easier than I expected. We met in class once a week where he went over basic concepts. You have to read the text to write the papers (biweekly) and the quizzes (opp. biweekly)which are basic, he is generous on grading and is very good at explaining a concept you need help understanding. I took his online POSC120 class and it was one of the best classes I've taken.He's a really easy grader and the tests are easy too.He chose a really entertaining textbook and as long as you read the summary and keywords you'll get at least a B on the test.Fast on email responses and clear, easy syllabus. TAKE THIS CLASS- GET AN EASY A!!

Took this online. A lot of essays, but they only have to be 3 pages and he is a super easy grader. I would recommend this class to anyone. I took 21 units this semester and was still able to get an A in this class. I'm not a fan of PoSci, but this class was very interesting and I learned a lot.

This guy really doesn't need any more reviews, but still... very helpful, flexible and smart teacher. There are several essays, quizzes, and tests but he is a pretty easy grader and it's nice that he created the textbook- makes it easy to write the essays and study for the tests. Have no interest in POSC, but he made it all easy to understand!

Fairly easy class. Thought there are many essays, don't be scared, they're not even supposed to be that long (he just wants to know you understand the subject). The final is super easy, based on the previous tests and quizzes. Go in for help if you need it

I dropped this class because I have a life and don't have the time for it. 6 ESSAYS REQUIRED! Ridiculous!

I learned a lot in his American Political Science online course. The papers are "book-report" style for the most part - he wants to make sure you've done the reading, not that you can work with the ideas. Definitely a lot of work for a 3 unit class, but also one of those classes that you'll get a lot out of if you do.

I really enjoyed this class. His lectures were thoughtful, organized, and available online. There was a lot of reading, but hey, this is college. Plus, all the information you read is interesting and meaningful. Not an easy A, but I did get an A. Just read, go to class, take notes, and complete your assignments.

Excellent teacher of political science. There is a great deal of reading required and essays to demonstrate your ability to synthesize the information. He is very good with feedback on your work. If you do what the syllabus says and show you understand the principles, you will learn and earn a good grade.

Honestly, you do not need to buy his cd. I haven't opened it yet because I requested the book online for free from the nsspress website. That was mos helpful. You write 5 essays and he's very nice. One of the nicest online professors I've had and he is clear and easy.

I took his online class. We had 5 essays, 3 quizzes, discussion board posts each week, and a final. He drops your lowest score on one of the assignments. Pretty easy, if you read the text & the readings. I really loved the class, got so much out this class. I got an A, and had many other classes too. Take him, you won't regret it.

5 Essays 3 exams and 3 quizzes he drops lowest score Final is heavily graded so if you were not keeping up with the class it will burn you in the end other than that easy and interesting class if you do the work its an easy A He is a great professor who gets down to the nitty gritty of politics and is not concerned on being politically correct

This class and teacher are highly recommended. This was a more do it yourself kind of thing. His lectures did not cover all the test or quiz material. Which is great because it makes you dig and learn the material. Very much a university style of teaching.

Honestly the most chill and laid back professor. He's a very easy going teacher. All quizzes and assignments are online. If you want an easy A I recommend his class. He teaches through powerpoints which are available on his grossmont page. He's also very organized. Keep up with readings and you'll be fine. I guarantee you would love him!

Take this class! Prof. B is AWESOME! Really cares about you and will work with you. Show up to class, do the work and you will pass with B or better. Tests and quizzes are on line. Wants participation and encourages your opinion. Very easy to relate.

Professor Braunwarth cares very much about his students. I would love to take him again one day throughout my college career. He definitely makes sure that you understand the concepts that he is teaching. Despite the fact that I already love political science, he made the subject even more interesting. He has become one of my favorite professors.

Took his Poli Sci 121 class online. He gives one assignment per week, either an essay, discussion board, quiz or test. Grading and assignments are clear and straightforward, just follow the syllabus. Don't bother trying to cheat because his classes use a custom edition textbook created by him and several other teachers.

Great teacher and is a really good guy too. Helps you if you need any help. Can sometimes get off topic but still gets back to it. Our class was filled with free-spirited people who wanted to express themselves and he let them do exactly just that. Will hear you out on your opinion.

Professor Braunwarth's class was easy, if you do your work. all of his stuff is online mostly discussion boards and quizzes. His lectures are a bit tedious and boring but if you read the book and take notes you are guaranteed an easy a. would take again!

Professor Braunworth's course was my first Poli Sci class, and needless to say he has enhanced my interest in the subject! Funny guy who keeps you engaged in the lectures. If you attend class, pay attention, and do all assignments you should do well in the class. Would take another class by him!

Professor Braunwarth has a wonderful set up for this online class. It is well organized, and you're given all assignments up front, so if needed you can complete/turn in future assignments. His videos help to solidify the concepts, and his assignments are appropriate, without being overwhelming. I highly recommend his class!

Dr. Braunwarth is amazing. This is the second time I take his class. First I took his Political Science 120, now I took his 121. He grades fairly, If you do the work and put effort into it, you will pass the class with no problem. There are 3 Discussion Boards, 4 Quizzes, 3 essays , Final Exam. This is the Summer course so there is less work.

This professor gives clear details on what is supposed to done on assignments. The tests are medium, just make sure to do the reading. This professor understands if you are having technical difficulties, which as an online student is a blessing. Would definitely take the class again.

Assignments, quizzes and tests were all online. Didn't took the class online, but the final is in-class. For the tests and quizzes, it's practically open book since its all online. Textbook is online. Great professor-friendly, funny, understanding. One chance at extra credit. Honestly, skipped class a few times and managed to get an A.

Braunwarth was great. Class was super easy, wish I would of taken it online so I didn't actually have to go to class. You read the material, do the discussion board and you were good. Tests were online and you got ample time. Quizzes were on Blackboard and you got plenty of time as well as two tries. Highly recommended.

Tests are difficult and timed. You can't cheat in this class, his textbook is written by him and other professors. It's also difficult to maneuver through during tests. I'm not a big reader, so I found the text very difficult to read. On the plus side, he responds to emails rather quickly, offers some extra credit, and drop lowest test score.

Smartest teacher I've met. He allows you to argue your stance in politics as long as you can support your claims with evidence &not bash others. ALL THE EXAMS HAVE QUIZLETS... EVEN THE FINAL! As long as you can skim through the book, you'll be able to answer all of the discussion boards and get an A. There's a fair amount of extra credit here too!

He's pretty reasonable professor. Easy to talk to. The homework is pretty basic as well. Online quizzes.

I encourage you to take him for Poli-Sci. He tells you from the beginning what to expect and his instructions are clear. Even with taking two other classes over the summer I was able to keep up with the 2 assignments we were given a week whether it was a test, quiz or discussion board. (You have 4 quizzes, 3 tests plus the final online and 4 DBs.)

Really nice Professor. I did not like that you are required to buy TWO books, which are online books. I find it extremely difficult to read online. You must have them to take the exams. Exams were difficult, but doable. Quizzes you get 2 attempts. I would take this professor if you can, but do the extra credit assignment!

Took Dr. Braunwarth's POSC 121 class for a prereq requirement and he was one of the best professors I've ever had. His lectures are very interesting and he always has a neutral stance on certain issues that I admired. The class does require a lot of reading, but the reading isn't hard to understand. Take this class if you have the chance!

Braunwarth is a cool guy, and a good professor. He tells you three things in order to be successful, and if you do those 3 things, you will pass the class. Lectures did get boring at times, and he likes to go off tangent about certain things. If you want a POSC teacher, take him. Easy class to obtain an A.

This professor is the best, you have to take him. I'm not in to the whole politics thing, but this class was easy and you will learn lots of things. There are multiple extra credit opportunities. If you do the work and read you will pass. There are some Quizelets online for the quiz's. Gives 2 opportunities to take a test. You need to buy a code.

If you read, go to class and do the work you'll do fine. Dr. Braunwarth is a great Professor who is passionate about political science. Some of the things he says can be offensive but in reality he is joking. A simple side conversation to clarify with him is all it takes. He always makes class material relevant. You'll never be bored in his class

He respects the fact that you have other classes and tries to keep your workload light during the last few weeks of school for finals. We had online quizzes and tests which were easy if you read the corresponding chapters. He gets distracted in lectures but is really funny!

Appreciated his emails on upcoming events/inspiring messages. Took him twice, but I dreaded the fact that he always gave me a 18/20 even when I did my best on an assignment. He offered extra credit, multiple times. His books were straight to the point and manageable!

What is really important in that class is that you show up and you turn things in. He is a wonderful teacher. He cares about his students and knows what he is doing. Although the content may be boring it is not his fault as it just wasn't something I am interested in.

I loved him! I was always wary of taking a class with him because of the reviews on here but he was my favorite professor this semester. It was an online class and I still learned a lot. Homework was easy; just a few quizzes (with 2 attempts), and a couple of short essays throughout the semester. I would take him again!

I took his online 8-week class. Your grade is a few tests and written assignments. The tests are straight from the reading (there's A LOT of reading but it's interesting) but the written assignments are a bit unclear and he doesn't give feedback. Overall I enjoyed the class/ learned a lot and the prof is pretty laid back but not very engaged.

He is an amazing person! He has helped me and many other students succeed. he is very understanding and easy, highly recommend.

The class reading was heavy but manageable. Quizzes are easy if you take good notes. From an online perspective, he released the assignments with new lectures every week (updated) and was an overall good guy even from online.

I took professor Braunwarth for posc 121 and posc 120 and both classes were easy and we rounded my grade to an A in the final, he is inspirational and cares about his students

He makes you buy two textbooks written by him. I suggest you only buy the one that gives you access to the quizzes/tests as the other was literally never used and even if it is you can pass the assignment without quoting it. his lectures were clear and he engaged a lot with students which has its Pros and Cons (deviating heavily from the lecture).

This class was so fun. He was such a nice teacher, and the assignments were really interesting. The textbook is required to take the tests so just be aware of that.

The class was manageable with easy quizzes and a few short essays. I found Unstuckstudy really helpful for studying. Overall, a good professor who cares about his students.
