Informative person, at the least.
I think he has an attitude problem. He works a lot for the pharmacy department as a whole but he could improve a LOT in the way he deals with students because sometimes he can be down right condescending.
He can be quite condescending if you're not prepared to answer his questions. Thus, he expects you to come to class knowing the material already...which is impossible if this is your first D&D, which Infectious is. Study the slides and know how to treat with what, along with alternatives. Do the cases!
Very unclear and expects you to know the class material
If you don't know him very well, you will think he is the biggest beeetch. However, he is actually very easy, lenient,nd NICE. for 1st year pharm students, you dont really learn anything from him but just learn how to bare with him. a great speaker, and afterall, he is the vicepresident of pharmacy.
Whats interesting is that how can someone who took CPP rate Brocavich when CPP is simply just trying to pay attention to 5 different professor's lecture that change weekly and simply memorizing the vocab to pass 2 tests.when brocavich came to our class once, he was 2nd best after dr. ambizas. he is NICE if u follow his instructions well.
Brocavich is a really nice guy who explains things really clearly and is really understanding when it comes to dealing with his students. PHR is a pass/fail class, but he still does his best to keep everyone's interest. Unfortunately, the material is naturally boring, but he's a nice guy regardless. I suggest taking the class!
He seems like he doesn't care about his students but in reality he does listen and is pretty logical with his thoughts. His part of ID was easy. This year they changed ID to 3 exams. You'll probably fail the first exam, do well on the 2nd one, and pass the third.
Course coordinator for ID. Seems strict but in reality is a nice guy and is just trying his best for us. His part of the exam was beyond easy, but that's likely b/c his part didn't deal with specific therapies, just approaches on how to deal with therapy questions. Though I do question the decision to make ID 3 exams, he is a helpful coordinator.
easy pass course. just show up. do the 5 min in class assignment if there is one. there is 1 paper.
He's very fit to teach and does well in, well, teaching. However, he has an arrogant air about him. When one of the students showed up late, he blasted her with sarcasm, which was very immature and a little disheartening because he seemed like a very competent and professional professor.
So easy, you just have to show up to the class. The classes consisted of him lecturing, some other important speakers from the college of pharmacy, and a few VERY EASY assignments. No tests, literally just have to show up. All the class dates were on the syllabus, as well as due dates. Gave extra credit for going to the new student convocation.
His D&D lecture is concise and simple. He ties his lecture and what you're learning to what you will be tasked with in the real world pharmacy setting. His questions are deceivingly easy. It requires you to decipher what is necessary or not for a patient. However, he will become irked if few people in a group shows up to present for recitation.
Easy A. Only meets a few times so you don't have this class every week. Just show up, sign in, do the one-time 5 min "essay" which is just 3 easy questions about your thoughts on pharmacy, and leave. He doesn't really care about much. Quick course
it's a pass/fail class & it's soooo easy just show up & do his assignments (they're very simple) and thats literally it.
He employs condescension and intimidation when speaking to students in an administrative situation. He gets visibly angry easily and in this way can be very childish and immature. With the way he acts, he shouldn't be in the position he is in for pharmacy. Lots of pharm kids know not to go to him for anything because he won't help ever.
meet once every 3 weeks. we had to buy a book to take a quiz to find our strengths. 1 paper about different organizations we met at pharmacy organization day.
Pass/Fail class. There are 3 easy assignments, do it and you'll pass. Meets 6 times a semester.
He is rude and tries to intimidate students with his position. He speaks with a condescending tone. He does not really teach besides reading powerpoints. This class had a lot of work. Wouldn't recommend him.
Doesnt give one dam about the students. For someone in a "leadership" role hes nothing but an arrogant pr1ck
this class is not every week. it's very simple and is made to help the transition into the pharm program. buy the strength finders book on amazon and in the back there is a code. Do the test online and print the results. It is pass fail so if u miss one assignment you will fail the class. extremely easy assignments. absolutely no reason to not pass
easy pass/fail class. he may be intimidating at first. course is just attending and completing the 2 minute assessment after lecture's over.
Even though this class wasn't really necessary to even take, it's an easy pass/fail class. Have to show up to class, meets every other week and not even an hr so it wasn't bad. The assignments are posted at the end of the lecture and literally only take a min or two. The only "big" assignment was buying the strength finders book and doing the quiz
As an RPH, i am legit SICK of hearing admin/faculty like this pull the fake god complex on students. I will PAY to see this guy cover the busiest tier 5 stores in the district. HE WILL SQUIRM because hes grown way too comfortable sitting behind his desk for so many decades. Let faculty like this put their credentials where their mouths are
The most beneficial part of this course was it gave students an understanding of what the pharmacy major focuses on, along with the services that other presenters bring in every other week. His assignments at the end of class were straightforward, as the answers were based on the presentation notes.
Very professional instructor, knows how to develop students into health care experts.
He's clear on what he expects from his students, his grading criteria is clear and he's available to help if you reach out during office hours.
