Instructor Butler is a hands-on instructor that actively participates in discussion. Most importantly is he provided external sites to visit to receive additional information aside from the textbook. Unlike other instructors, he makes learning fun. Yes it is work, but it is fun work.

He adds a lot of information into the discussions and so your not stuck in responding to other classmates only. He grades pretty easy as long as you meet all the basic criteria. It feels like he wants to give you all the points as long as meet all the requirements. I have taken two of his classes and will gladly take any more he teaches.

This is my favorite instructor. He is a fair grader and interacts well with the student. He is funny and easy-going. I would take him for every class if I could. Professor Butler is the best online instructor I've had at Park University. He is very present during the semester, continues to post questions to encourage class-wide participation, adds humor to the lectures, and answers any questions right away.

I have never graded or completed a review for any professor. However, I loved taking Abnormal Psycho with Joseph Butler. He provided outside inspiration, weekly "pump up" posts, as well as great insight into all information provided. The class was not one where the students read then complete all the work with menial response, great Professor.

Professor Joseph Butler is the most interactive online professor I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He continually ask questions to keep the class thinking while posting things from time to time to ease the mood.

Submit questions and concerns and is very willing to work with the students. He keeps the course interesting with weekly humor and critical thinking. Participation matters to receive the grade you want to achieve, and group projects are due each week on case studies that are from the weekly lessons. Overall, a great teacher and mentor to have.

He always answered e-mails and questions promptly, and gave extra instructions if I needed them. He makes class fun, and is involved in the discussions. Highly recommend.

this was a really good class and not what I expected. With the course material, you get a different outlook on what constitutes humor in today's society. This class was great for what it is. It was a degree requirement for me, so not necessarily something I really wanted to take. But, Prof. Butler made it fun and entertaining. This term I was fortunate to find a professor that was able to unlock the different side perspectives of humor for me. Sometimes humor can be one sided, the side in which you are only the receiver but sometimes, when your eyes are opened by a great professor you see all the different views of humor because it can be multifaceted like a diamond.

I really did not expect to enjoy this class so much. The Professor expected for yo to learn, but he also made it enjoyable, while you were doing so.I wish that I needed him for another class, because it is nice to enjoy your class while you are learning.

I loved this class. I took this class online and a link for an assignment wasn't working for me. I emailed him the day that it was due and he emailed me back soon after. Also there is a group assignment due each week from week 2 to week 7. The assignment does help understand the disorders that are talked about in the textbook and isnt really hard

This is by far one of the best courses I have taken at Park University. Professor Butler was FANTASTIC. His grading requirements were clear, and assignments were interesting and fun to complete. Professor Butler, is very interesting in a good way. He provides so much feed back that in my busy schedule I use it to take my quizzes. His encouragement keeps his students engaged and going beyond the two discussion response requirements. It wakes you up to the subtleties of life. Apply yourself and you will be successful.

First I'll clarify why I graded "For Easiness" as an easy A. It's not that the instructor is "easy", it's because he is by far one of the best instructors that I have had. Professor Butler is an awesome professor- if I was not graduating at the completion of his course, I would definitely take a class with him again.

Great professor! Grades work in a timely manner and gives feedback how to get all the points for next time. Understanding if something comes up, just let him know as soon as it happens. Hopefully he will teach a class I need in the future!!!!

I took him online for Theories of Personality, and as long as you participate in discussion, take the many practice quizzes he offers, and do the rather fun assignments, you will do well in this class. Professor Butler is very involved in the discussions in class, which is not seen by too many instructors. One can see that he genuinely cares about his students and is here to help! He clearly tells you what he expects; it is up to you to fulfill the expectations. The workload is fair and manageable. Excellent instructor, definitely worth taking.

Professor Butler has been one of my favorite professors that I've had. He is funny and laid back and just an overall great teacher. He didn't want his students to stress over assignments and was quick to return emails and grades. One of the best!

I would recommend Professor Butler to anyone taking PS315. Professor Butler is helpful, encourages class participation and sparks class discussions with his humor. If something comes up he is very understanding and offers assistance to better understand what is being asked of us. Do all your assignments, and discussions and you'll pass no problem.

Awesome professor, he will not let you fail!!!!!! You do have to get the online textbook because most of the homework is on connect Mcgraw hill. One thing he wants all of his classes to do is to talk and discuss things with him and the class!!

Prof. Butler is a great teacher who understands the struggle through college, but motivates and pushes you to do better.

He is a really nice teacher and answers any questions you have. He gets back to you very quickly as well. He was involved in the discussions and made them enjoyable.

The professor was very good at getting class involved. The discussion questions always had more than just the basic answer and he added to it throughout the week to keep it interesting. I enjoyed the assignments, each one pushed me to learn more and more and become more familiar with the course. I was a challenging and great course all together

Professor Butler's class was not only awesome, he really cares about students learning the material by applying concepts to their personal lives. And he works with you if you have a special situation. In my case, I had my baby in the middle of the course and he helped me opening the course material for me to work in advance.

Professor Butler was very patient with me. I am slow learner and sometimes it takes a minute for me to get a flow. Eventually I did and where I lacked, he was quite attentive to it. So much so that I felt important to his mission to teach in a valuable way.

Professor Butler gives life to online classes! His wit and ability to get people involved in discussions is phenomenal. He's willing to work with you if unexpected circumstances come your way, just communicate with him. I learned so much in his class, and enjoyed it!

Butler is a gem amongst rocks. He is hilarious and keeps the class active. Assignments can be challenging , but the instructions are easy to follow. Make sure you stay on top of book work or you'll find yourself behind and lost. Hes a sweetheart that loves his students.

If I could compare Professor Butler to a book, he would be a human encyclopedia. This course was a little harder than I expected due to the core assignment. However, Professor Butler is there for you and is very receptive of all questions and concerns. READ READ & READ, one of the best advice I can give you. Take notes and always participate!

I've had professor Butler for two courses now and have loved both of them. He gives clear and concise instructions for assignments and comes up with genuinely fun assignments as well. The 10-page paper is a little intense, but he split up the workload throughout the semester that made it easier. I wish I could have him every semester!

Professor Butler was very responsive and did a great job of interacting with every student in the online class. He asked purposeful, probing questions that forced me to consider a variety of topics that positively changed my learning outcomes. As the class closes over the next few days, I feel like I maxed out everything there was to learn.

Professor Butler is hilarious, inspirational, & gives your personalized feedback. There are multiple papers due but the workload is balanced (less time consuming discussion questions makes weekly participation manageable). He consistently motivates you to keep doing your best & striving for ALL the points you can get. You will enjoy the course.

Very thourough, with many additional tid bits of inforation to influence and enhance the thought of the student during the discussions. Definitely not a walk in the park instructor, but his required participation and demand for engaged learning ensures the information is grasped and you actually take something away from the class.

This was my second course with Professor Butler. He is one of the most engaging Professors I have had so far. You have to do the work, but his criteria is clearly spelled out so it is completely doable. You will learn and have fun doing it no matter what the subject is. Try him out and see for yourself.

Unlike many online instructors, Professor Butler engaged with students in our discussions. It may look like a lot of work but when you follow his grading rubric you can get a high grade. Participation is mandatory and work should be submitted on time. He responds to his emails in a timely manner. Great class!! I hope to have him again.

Really amazing Professor. Very engaging in the discussion boards, posts additional questions to keep the discussion from being repetitive and boring. Homework was a little heavy but not hard and the assignments were not boring. Gives good feedback and you can tell he cares about the subject and teaching. Very easy to reach and always responds.

The teacher is very good about emailing you back fast enough regarding questions about the course. Most of his assignments are easy to do, as long as you read the material for that week. I would recommend this Professor, very easy to work with!

There is a little group work but all in all you get out what put into this course. The professor is funny, helpful, and assigns meaningful assignments. 10/10 recommend.

If you want to use your brain and actually learn to apply to real life, this is the brain to pick. He keeps the discussions engaged, random and interesting topics to choose to comment on, NOT BORING AT ALL , AND incorporates the text book to apply to real. The book isn't wasted and he gives you great lectures to translate everything you just read

Professor Butler was one of the more interactive teachers I have had at Park University. He is engaged with the class and really encourages students to participate, question the material and their own thoughts and beliefs, and reflect on how the course material is relevant to your own life. Mr. Butler's makes you step outside your normal boundaries of thinking and challenges your mind with real life conversation. He made sure I was ok when I had COVID and in return I finished up all my work by the end of the course. This was very challenging for me due to the sickness but he looked out for me. Everything was laid out clearly and he was very upfront about the grade he gave. He responds very quickly to emails and grades are posted almost the same day you turn it in. Knowledgeable on the subject matter and cares about his students. 2 things I did not like; a lot of writing and did not have enough time on midterm and final.

They say there is no such thing as a perfect professor but I would say he is the perfect professor ! He inspired me and supported me in my career choice.
