awsome professor. Hard tester but you get alot out of it. He explains everything in a good way so that you actually understand it. You need to work but good grades are possible

The classes he teaches are kinda hard but really interesting. He explains difficult material and makes it so clear for us. Definately take him for any class, you won't be dissapointed.

Hilarious! I wish I had taken him for Perception. Gives extra credit for his experiments, lets you redo papers. Exam was way hard though! Laughs about everything from bathroom behavior to 69, couldn't believe a doctor was that cool.

He is GREAT!! he gives you study guides and if you press him he will tell you what to focus on.. tests are ALL essay and about 6 questions. Just do what he tells you and you will be fine. He is REALLY FUNNY

Best teacher on the planet! Take him if you can. Exams are from the study guides (which are very hard). He is very fair and will help you with anything.

he's a clear and interesting teacher. he teaches you what you need to pass the class. the catch is that on his tests, he'll first give you a study guide and say you'll need to know all of them. but on the test there are only 6 questions. it's not a very time consuming class and only requires a little time for homework and time to study before exams

BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD. He makes class fun and interesting. Any chance you have to take him, take him! His tests are slightly challenging but if you do the study guide he gives you before the exam it is a piece of cake.

Professor Cataliotti is awesome! I've taken him for two classes and loved them. The material may be a little difficult but he's such a great teacher that you should have no problem. His stories and examples make learning certain material easy, and he is just flat out hilarous. Take him if you can, you will learn a lot and have a great time.

He may be the funniest teacher I have ever had. Flat out hilarious. Class is never boring, and he tells you exactly what is going to be on the tests. He makes difficult material seem easy. Def. recommended!

He's very good at explaining things. He's a very nice person. He's not that clear on what he's asking for on the test questions. He says be brief, but the more you write the more likely you'll hit on key phrases that he wants to see in there. He tries to be fair in grading.

this has to be the most horrible class, but he's a really good professor. he really wants you to learn, and he's very fair with grading. gives you credit for all the work you show on tests even if you get the answer wrong. gives study guides for tests. only 3 projects.

He is the best teacher ever!!! The tests are right from his study guides... There is alot of reading, but its all interesting. Alot of work, but if you study and do everything you are guarenteed an A!!!! Will be taking him again next semester!!

Cataliotti is a great teacher. He is approachable which makes it easy to annoy him with tons of questions. The class is hard but you learn a lot. The Catman is one of the best tecahers at Ramapo so I highly reccommend him.

He is an ecclectic, engaging, intelligent and priceless professor. I gained a deep insight into the details of neuro-architecture through modern publications assisted by his first-rate teaching. It is foolish to miss this most brilliant professor's gift for teaching. He embodies everything a college professor and course should be. I love him.

Prof Cataliotti is a wonderful person and you can see that in his teaching. He's really interesting and so funny--he makes even torturous stuff plain and simple! Gives review sheets for tests and lots of help with your experiment/paper. JC is one of the best profs at Ramapo.

I have had JC twice, and he is by far one of my favorite professors here at Ramapo. He takes confusing topics and make them easy to understand. He is always up for a good joke, or talk about the stock market. Sooo sad I dont have him this semester. Take him if you can. <3JC<3

Where do I begin? The last rater was in my class and was VERY, VERY annoying. Some students take psychology cause they think it will help them with their mental disorders. The study guides were very good and helpful and Dr. C. is an excellent teacher.

Dr. C. is a great teacher. Classes were fun to go to and he always had a demonstration for everything he taught us. Exams were fair and he gave a study guide for each one. Overall great guy and great course. Take him if you can.

Professor C. is very patient and always willing to help clarify the topics. Tests were hard but he gives a study guide that really is good. I actually wanted to go to class to learn. He made some hard topics easy to understand and fun to learn. A fantastic professor and got to be the best at Ramapo. Two thumbs up for Professor C!

Dr. C's class was great! My favorite professor at Ramapo College. I took him twice and would take him again if I could. Lot's of demonstrations, made the class interesting and he gave study guides. Overall an excellent teacher--I can honestly say that I learned something in his class. Take him if you can.

Research Methods&Data Analysis- He such a nice approachable guy & an excellent Proff! Knows his stuff and used lots of examples to clarify, cares about our learning and is very helpful if you are unclear. The topic itself was difficult but he made it somewhat manageable. He knows how to teach and gives good reviews. TAKE HIM!

A wonderful professor makes a difficult class one that you want to attend. Gives study guides and you know exactly what to study for the exams. Talk him if you can.

Professor C is clear about his expectations and fair when it comes to grading. If you can get a seat in his class take him. A really nice guy.

Research methods and statistics. Geeeez. This is not the stuff I would naturally be attracted to but Professor C. made it interesting. And it was a pleasure to go to cass. He is a fun and caring teacher who can make difficult and Boring (with a capital B)topics fun and interesting. I would give him an A if I could.

This is a class that I avoided for a while and I am very glad I took him. I would not have gotten through the statistics with someone else. I recommend that you take him. He is an excellent instructor.

Two thumbs up! He made things very interesting and kept my attention. He really knows his stuff and uses many teaching methods and demonstrations for you to understand what he is talking about. There is a lot to know for the class but he gives you a study guide. I would suggest taking him and I will be trying to get in more of his classes. :)

he is great! he has a ton of experience teaching, and it really shows. He is extremely specific and clear when he explains something. His lectures are interesting and thought-provoking. Take good notes and pay attention in class (which shouldn't be hard) and you'll do well. Pay attention to the study guides, he puts those right on the tests.

Take Research Methods with him. Amazing professor! Very helpful and comfortable. Willing to explain anything you need. Had 3 Exams and 3 papers but the papers started out easy and got a little harder. But I believe he offered rewrites. Papers were interesting. Definitely take this class with Cataliotti if you need it!

I took Professor C for Perception of PSYC and Reasearch Methods and data. He really explains the HARD stuff well, he makes it so simple you will shock yourself that you understand his entire class. If you dont understand he will explain it in many other ways for you untill you do understand. If you dont do to well on a test he will let you make it

One of the great ones.. Do not buy his book for any of the classes, cause his test are straight from his lectures.. He teaches so well that as long as you listen in class and take notes...you will get a B at least..If you look over your notes a bit... you will get a A...

The class itself is hard because of the subject but Cataliotti makes it a lot of fun. He jokes around a lot and if you don't understand something he'll repeat it as much as you need it repeated. Final is cumulative

Best Professor EVER!! makes the math simple, makes the class fun the 3 hours flys even tho he keeps you the whole time. Only three test which are long. but three papers that you can rewrite for a 100! hes the BOMB simply put!!

I came into that classroom, not interested, but wow! He really knows how to teach! The material is tough, but if you work hard you will succeed in his class. He is an awesome person and I left his class wanting to do research. If you are going to take research methods, he is the BEST! TAKE HIM! It will be the best decision,you make.(trustme)

Dr.C has completely made my College Career at Ramapo. He is passionate about what he does,funny and also caring about those who he knows WANTS to succeed. He is THE best aspect to the Psych department at Ramapo!!! If you are a hard worker,and care about learning...take him!

Had him for 9 hours a week last semester, and it was AWESOME! Class and tests were challenging at times, but he was beyond helpful and not to mention HILARIOUS. Sincerely cares about your learning... even after you leave his class. I am truly envious of those who still have the opportunity to be his student. JCAT is by far one of the best!

Best professor at Ramapo. If you need to take Research Method take it with Prof. C. 3 papers and you can rewrite as many times as you want. 3 tests that are extremely long but his study guide and review is basically the test. Keeps you for the whole 3 hours but he makes it fun and goes by fast. Highly recommend taking!

Dr C. is the best teacher I have taken at Ramapo. He makes statistics and research methods interesting. He cares about you as a student and makes sure everyone learns. His exams are long and a challenging but if you spend time studying and ask questions you will do well. He allows you to rewrite the papers for the projects. Great teacher overall.

Love love love him! He is very passionate about psych and knows what he is talking about. Makes classes interested, I actually stayed awake the whole hour and a half! His exams are very easy and he gives you the questions that he puts on the test word for word. Definitely take him is you can! And I wouldn't buy the book honestly, never used it.

Professor Cataliotti is an awesome professor! He makes the material as easy as possible and he makes sure that you understand the material. Only had four tests, two were take home, and he would also give out a review sheet that the tests were based off of. I would definitely take another class with him. Be sure to take him!

I took this professor for a summer class and although the hours were very long and the class was hard, I was always very interested in the criteria. He made what could have been a very boring class very interesting.

TAKE HIM!!!! He is an awesome professor. I haven't learned so much in a class throughout my college career until i took him. Hes clear in all of his lectures and explains the material in a way that you can understand. His power points make the bulk of the class material so make sure you take notes on EVERYTHING. Loved him and def would recommend.

Cataliotti is pretty awesome. I learned a ton in this class and would definitely take it again with him in a heartbeat. He doesn't give many assignments but when he does just do them-they aren't long or hard at all and really help your grade. Gives you a review and goes over everything in detail before each exam. Show up or you won't know anything.

Joe is funny and explain course content so very well. He's a very cool professor and I WOULD recommend him for psychology of perception. The lectors are not but never miserable. Test are big in that class theres a lot of study material but you'll be fine as long as you study you might not even have to study that hard thats how well he teaches.

Took psych of perceotion, He is super awesome and an amazing teacher, makes the most boring material intresting, don't like his test formats gives you questions but if you didn't take notes or missed class your screwed as he doesn't use textbook at all, besides for that he gives easy labs to boost your grade, recommend

I begged him to give me an override into his class. I needed it to graduate. Awesome professor. I HATE math and he made it seem so simple and easy. Statistics/Research project was fun throughout the semester

I absolutely love Dr.C! I have taken him for quite a few courses. RMDA was difficult for me last semester, so I had to drop and retake the course. I chose Dr. C, since he was teaching it this semester. He is such an easy-going gentleman. He always answers e-mails in a timely manner and helps you out so much for exams! Exams are 7/10 difficulty! 3

He is entertaining and pretty laid back when it comes to grading and handing in assignments. And he really knows what he is talking about. Great professor.

Dr. C. makes the class interesting. He is easy going and takes the stress out of learning. Always willing to go over the material so you understand it. Some stuff was very difficult but I learned more in his class than any other so far. Overall a great experience would highly recommend taking him .

If you have the opportunity to take Dr. C, do it! You have to take very good notes and grades are test based, but he gives you all of the exam questions before the test to study from. He is very fair and willing to help students who ask for it. He is passionate about psych and funny too. I would definitely recommend him for psych of perception.

Overall the professor teaches very well he does not seem to care about individual students, but cares about the overall class succeeding and understanding the information. Exams are organized to have all opened ended and takes a lot of memorization that tends to take away from learning the material and makes it more about mirroring what he said.

I wish I could take Dr. C. again. I took him for 4 classes and they were totally lit! The study guides take a lot of time but well worth it. Labs are fun and interesting and demonstrations were the great. He is the best professor period!

Dr. C is one of the best psych professors! RMDA seemed intimidating to me, but he makes the information so clear and accessible. His study guides are super similar to the test, and he allows you to rewrite every paper for a new grade. He is fair, respectable, and helpful. He does go through material quickly, but I would highly recommend.

Had for Research, really good. Tests are almost exceedingly difficult though. As a professor, he is one of the best I ever had though. He's really funny, and has plenty of stories and keeps things light. However the actual material we cover is really extensive, and remembering everything was difficult. But he allows rewrites for essays.

Professor Cataliotti is awesome. He gives study guides before each test (exam 1, exam 2, midterm, and final). The study guide contains exactly what will be on the exams. If you study, you will pass; simple as that. Professor Cataliotti is very helpful & he will "dumb things down" if needed during his lectures. He responds to emails quickly as well.

A friend recommended him. Really a great professor. Study guides can take a ton of time and have 25-30 short essay questions and about 3 long essays. Exams come from the study guides. There were 2 short papers and a final project that was 15 pages. Papers can be rewritten for a better grade. Highly recommend.

Labs were beyond interesting and fun. He is very intelligent and truly cares for his students. His exams are LONG and you may break off your hand. He does provide a study guide, however out of the 30(ish) essay questions on it, you will be tested on about 9 questions. You will learn plenty and he is very funny! Makes learning a great time

Dr. Cataliotti is one of the best professors I've had at Ramapo. I had him for Psych of Perception and he made difficult topics seem so simple. He is such a nice professor. Class can get boring because its mostly lecturing with a lot of notes, but he tries to make it as interesting as possible and is very funny. The demos and studies he has you do may be a lot of work, but they are extremely interesting!

Great teacher. He is weird but also funny and smart. Lectures are interesting too. Graded on on 3 tests, which can be challenging. Tests are OE questions, but he gives study guides to help. Also gives some short papers. Does lots of demonstrations and talks about his work and experiences as it relates to the course.

Mr. Cataliotti is an amazing professor, he teaches things in ways that makes students understand exactly what is going on, even with a difficult topic. He made sure everyone understood the concepts of his lectures before he moved on, and he included labs that were really fun. Make sure you attend class, otherwise you'll miss a lot and will be lost.

One of the best Prof. I've had. He cares about the students, and for RMDA, he explains everything super thoroughly. If you struggle with math and are nervous about Research Methods, take him. He will make sure everyone understands everything, and for essays he allows corrections.

Loved professor Cataliotti! I was fortunate to have him for 2 classes and I wish I had him for more! We had homework each class, but as long as you did it, you received an A. Great lectures and doesn't use the book, so take great notes because that's the entire exam. Gives a study guide and questions are the exam so STUDY and you will get an A!

psych of perception spring 2020: Great professor. Uses powerpoint presentations and a whiteboard to give lectures. 3 exams but he gives a study guide for each. Answering the study guides is worth a homework grade. Short essays for homework sometimes. He is really passionate about teaching and I'm taking him again for another class. Take him!

If you want to take a class where you will learn material w a professor who CARES about you - this is the man. He is so passionate and so kind. He is brilliant and his lectures are wonderful, he gives study guides, and if you do poorly on a test and talk to him after class he will allow you re-write your answers to the questions for a higher grade.

Dr. Cat is amazing! Yes there's a textbook, but I didn't find it necessary. Lectures and in-class demos are great. Gives study guides that are identical to the exams. Super funny and caring. Vey accessible outside of class. Overall amazing class that you'll learn a lot in, not too overbearing. As long as you keep up and communicate, you're okay!

dr cataliotti is by far the kindest, funniest professor i've had at ramapo. i've never looked forward to a math-heavy course before RMDA with dr c. no homework and allows rewrites for papers. tests are long but not difficult at all (he copy and pastes questions from the study guide). do yourself a favor and take a class with him!

Had Dr. C for three classes. Simply the best professor at Ramapo. Lectures are interesting and the labs are fun. Gives a study guide for each test with around 20-30 essays and test is usually 10 of the exact questions. Final is cumulative, A very fair grader and teaches until everyone understands the material.

Professor C is such a great teacher. Feared taking RMDA but he made the class very relaxing and stress free. Cares about students. Learned more than any other class. Study guides, and you can rewrite papers. Gives many example with real data for the stats. Exams are comprehensive and cumulative final takes 4 hours with essays and stats and SPSS.

Professor C. is one of Ramapo's best professors. I took PSYC 209 with him and loved it due to his engaging teaching style. The class met weekly with 10 asynchronous assignments due Mondays. His exams are based on the study guide, with fewer questions on the test. With proper studying you will be fine. Take advantage of his office hours.
