You must take this prof for mat1033. I Highly recommended him. Although I have not received my final grade, he is very easy to follow. If you don't do well in this class, it's because you did not put forth the effort. He lets you drop your lowest grade and his tests are exactly whats covered in class. I wish he taught mac1105

I think he's the best mathematics professor the school has! I highly recommend this professor. Great for people who aren't good at Algebra/math in general. Encourages questions, doesn't give an attitude and genuinely cares that you learn. Reviews for tests and the test is very similar. You must study and do the My Math Lab!

Mr. Deespange, is a great math teacher....you have to do your labs which helps a great deal with your grade and it also help when you have to take your test. You get one take home test and he drops the lowest great!! He definately is a hottie

HE IS SUPER EASY........a great teacher too bad he is not teaching any other class. The only thing i recommend is that you study for all his exams and you will pass and don't let him catch you on myspace casue he will bring it up in class every change he get...........but still a great teacher.

This teacher is the best. The thrid time taking this class. I had him over the summer(intense due to time limit of class). I passed with a "B" and I deserved it. I was in that Lab all the time. You get what you put into it. You have to study plain and simple.

If you're not math-smart and want to the class the first time, TAKE HIM. By the end of the semester, the class was still full. That says a lot!

Mr. D. is very good @ what he does. I've never had a more dedicated professor. Math used to be a foreign langauge before I took it wwith him. He works out. Not sore on the eyes at all.

He's a very nice guy and tries to help when he can. I didn't end up getting the grade I want, but he's still very good. I'm the worst at math, but he made it bearable. The tests are copies of mymathlab problems and he always gives a review of what will be on the tests.

Wow, this class was difficult! I was failing at 1st, but the professor referred me to a great tutor and I turned things around. I ended up with an A, but I had to work very hard for it. If you are struggling, ask him to hook you up with a tutor(kinda expensive but its worth it!). He's very very hot, which kept me motivated to go to class lol

You have to work the test out but its only 20 questions or less.Hw is optional and mathxl is for a grade. Very Funny hatian teacher. Professor Despagne is an awesome teacher. He takes the time to teach and explain everything step. He always has time to answer questions after class. He only gives you maybe fifteen questions on the tests. He also gives you extra credit, if you study and put the time in you will pass.

Gives you little tricks and shortcuts to help you. Not an easy subject but he did his best to help the class understand. Extra credit and a couple take home tests helped. Attend class and pay attention and you will pass.

I really enjoyed his class. He gave you little shortcuts and tips for problems. His grading was fair. He's very funny, nice, and takes his time to go over things. Loved him!

I took dis class before and was completely lost and failed. i took it over wit professor despange and he explained each subject in short simple steps with practice from mathxl and hw ur bound to pass his test. A few questions on his test are from the hw and mathxl.

He's mad cool, I kind of find him attractive. He's Haitian. But dont get it twisted, he won't do you any favors if your zoe. He uses mathxl for about 6/7 quizzes and homework every week. you have 7 tests including the final. bad part is theyre not multiple choice. Apparently the final is though. He is a nice guy and i enjoy his class so far.

He is very helpful, will answer any questions you have. He is very clear and do all he can for you to learn the material. Keep on top of your grade because he does not grade grade your papers promptly. No multiple choice test but he does give you extra credit.

By far one of the best teachers at Broward College. He does not rush any material and makes sure you understand everything. He does give a lot of myLabs, but it's only for your benefit!! Very funny as well. Attendance is only mandatory on test days. I wish I can take his class again because it really helped me understand math a lot better!

I've always struggled with the subject, but after taking Despagne I actually feel like i have a proper understanding of concepts and a sturdy base going into college algebra. GREAT teacher. It all depends on if you study and do the homework. He tries his best to help you and I wish I could take him for another semester (took him for 2). I read that someone complained about the Mathlab, well the only reason its required is because people don't do the homework and don't study. Stop being lazy.

As I take my college alg math class in this new semester I would like to thank Mr. Despagne for doing such a great job teaching Intermidiate Alg. He knows what he's doing...can be a little cocky but he is very respectful and helpful! I learned a lot and received an A. If you fail, it's only your fault for not putting in any effort.

After reading through reviews, I registered with eager anticipation for this class. I was not disappointed. Clear, concise, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Tests are not multiple choice, you have to show your working. MyLabPlus used allot. The finals were multiple choice. You do have the opportunity for extra credit. I have confidence to move on.

Prof. Despagne is patient and explains with precision. This is an accelerated class. MyLabsPlus is required. 5-Tests that were not multiple choices, but the finals were multiple choices. Study a lot and you’re guaranteed an “A”. ea

His test are not multiple choice, but if you come to class, work hard, and listen you are sure to pass them. Besides he does give extra credit when needed. One of my favorite teachers.

GREAT professor, I took him for MAT1033, very clear always helping great sense of humor makes math less dry. 5 tests, final and ALEKS. (he will drop the lowest test score) always challenging and always offering extra credit. I take this class on a Saturday morning and I hate math, and I actually enjoy his lectures. Pleasant teaching style that easily connects with students. Stops for questions and is willing to stay moments after class to answer questions. Perhaps the only downside would be the mandatory Aleks program that is required for his class. As a student who struggles with the subject, I ran into confusion balancing the two.

Professor Despagne is one of the best teachers I have ever met. He is professional and funny. He demonstrates that he cares for his students and will answer any questions you may have during or after class. He does expect for you to complete your assignments and your are accountable for your study habits and work, as he will not hold your hand.

This professor is an absolutely phenomenal educator. This was my first math class since High school and I was so nervous about the material but he explains it so well that it becomes second nature. You have to study. This is math. If u want a good grade you have to put some pencil to paper but his exams come directly from your notes.

Professor Despagne is a true teacher. He takes the time to break things down and explain the process for you. He is very understanding and shows you alternate steps/ways in solving an issue. He only gives an exam/quiz on what he has covered in class and communicates what to expect in an upcoming quiz. You need NOT look any further, he is the BEST!

I took this class virtually. The professor recorded class which was nice because most the semester I would watch the class at a more convenient time. Prof. Despagne has a very practical approach to math, he tries to make it as easy as possible for students to understand. We do lots of practice problems in class. Lots of ALEKS assignments, but he's very generous with due dates. Also establishes a great rapport with students, generally tries to keep it light-hearted.
