First philosophy teacher that I've had that made the class worth taking. Had him at 8 in the morning and I was never more awake for a class, great class discussions and clear tests that he prepares you for, Great Teacher!

A very charismatic professor! He presents his teaching beautifully-but he does throw in a curse word here and there for emphasis. I got an A! The key to a good grade is note taking. His exams are straight from class. Screw the books.

He had funny answers on the midterm, that says it all. Claimed he threw them in to see if we were staying awake in class. Great professor.

Really funy prof. He has a good teaching style, explains things clearly and gives good reviews before the test. Even if you're not there for the review, you can't not pass, the right answer is the only one that doesn't make you laugh!

Excellent, excellent, excellent teacher. Extremely intelligent, interesting and concise. If you're taking a philosophy class for the requirement, try to get him. I personally hate philosophy but I enjoyed his class completely. He tells you exactly what you have to do and is very easy and clear. You'd seriously have to be an idiot to fail.

A LOT of reading! Had to buy 6 books for his class. (only read a few chapters in each). You can tell he's very into the subject (which helps get into it).

One of the best teachers of my educational life. If you're into philosophy it makes the class that much better, but if you're not really into it he sort of understands that KBCC isn't a school of scholars and would-be philosophers so there is an air of laid-backness to his class. Note taking and attendance are the keys to getting a good grade.

If you are not into mythology and that kind of stuff, DO NOT take this class. Although he doesn't give a lot of exams and assignments, he does talk throughout each and every class so you must be there each time taking notes, lots of them! Very nice guy though, and very laid back.

The best professor ever! Very laid back but gets upset when one try to abuse his patience. Will explain everything and engages very interesting debates. Highly recommended.

GREATEST PROFESSOR EVER!!! I LOVED HIM!!! He even wrote me a glowing recommendation letter. He's a gem. I'm taking another of his classes this term as an elective just because he is teaching it.

Average books required 5-7. Each book usually cost around 8 to 18 dollars. He is a good teacher. Pay attention in class and try to understand each of the authors of each book. If you can do that, you can pass easily. His test are mutiple choice with one you know its wrong answer. Take his class!!

His classes are a lot of fun. I loved the arguments and fights that went on in class between students. Very fun! A lot of note taking though. Test are simple... the right answer is the one that isnt funny.

If you love philosophy, he's the way to go. Very interesting guy. He'll suck you in. But if you're iffy on the topic or just really don't want to take philosophy, he's not going to turn that around for you, and you will go to sleep. Once again great professor, if you have interest philosophy and are not just taking it because you HAVE to.

After taking his modern philosophy class, I had to register for his religion class. (which he only teaches once a year btw) The books he assigns are pretty interesting and if you're a philosophy junkie, he's your drug. He's nice and just an overall amazing educator. There's a midterm, term paper and final. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This professor is absolutely amazing and inspiring to philosophy, always keeps you awake if you're into philosophy. He makes you get about 5 books, even if you don't get them he still goes through the main points in class. If you pay attention in class you're guaranteed a pass on the test. I would take his class again hands down..

It was huge of a luck to attend the lessons of Professor Felser. Moreover, it was a privilege to know such a wonderful person. For me the subject was easy and a recalling of what is inside of me. I took philosophy of religion and this professor is really knowledgable. This class is for you that is (you are hard worker and a highly motivated student) You have to read the books and keep your eyes open in the class and take notes and you'll do fine.

Great professor, definitely knows what he's doing. Gives study sheets. Tests are pretty hard. No homework. Only a midterm and final, quiz's are extra credit. Participation is interesting a controversial. Great class, must be a good test taker!

He is a very funny professor and in my opinion resembles Ellen DeGeneres by the way he acts. however his classes may be fun but only if you're into what he is teaching. He makes philosophy seem more like the belief of god and that gets annoying from time to time. Would also help if he didn't cancel class too often!

You will get what you really know. You have to read 5 books in order to get A- or above. There are midterm, 2 or 3 quiz, and final. Excellent professor.

really nice professor, but can be difficult if you're not a good critical thinker. his books cost ~5$ each and are very short. he's respectful of your beliefs and doesn't give his opinion unless you ask. overall I enjoyed the class and learned a lot about philosophy and myself as a person. if you have to take a phil. class then take him.

Very excellent, helpful, wonderful, intelligent interesting professor, and lecturer, this is the first time in my life i have ever felt so moved and interested in a class. hes funny,and will make you think outside of your narrow-minded box and will provide you with the tools to further take your mind to the next level of interpretation and wonder!

Hes a very good prof. He explains it according to the text, and after everyone understands moves on. He gives "pop" quizzes which is actually extra credit for you, which he announces like 1 or 2 days before. (If you just put your name in the quiz u already get an extra point for extra credit)

He is a very good professor. He respects the students opinions and makes the philosophy easy to understand. He gives pop quizzes which is actually easy extra credit questions, and although I didn't pay attention in class a lot I still got my A after understanding his lectures.

This guy makes the easiest tests in the world. Philosophy is such a rough subject. Take his class if you're like me who passes out during lecture:) His class is so easy to pass. He's got a good sense of humor too.

Really isn't that bad, its a college philosophy class and you are expected to work. He offers extra credit for the exams and if you go to class regularly you can definitely EARN the grade you want.

He loves to act things out and is really funny. Sometimes he really is too much, me and the girl next to me would laugh for at least half the class. He gives "pop" quizzes that go towards extra credit for the tests and explains everything you need.

His tests are easy!!! And he's super funny, and also really loves starbucks! Half the class we watch videos and discuss them making connections with philosophy. You need to read the books to pass the class and most test questions come from them

Took him for philosophy of religion and took him again for modern philosophy. Funny and very respectful. Show him that your serious with attendance put some effort in and you will be more then fine. The readings are not heavy at all 4 short books and then we used part of the big book. Show him respect and it will be mutual!

His class is extremely engaging and very fun. Considers everyones point of view on the topic. Tests are straightforward as long as your doing the readings and keep with whats going on in class. Attendance is important to be able to know when quizzes and exams are going to be given. Overall he cares a lot as long as you put in the time and work.

Professor Felser is an extraordinary person and an amazing human being. Great class, great topics and wonderful atmosphere to be in, if you willing to read and work you'll do just fine.

This is an extremely interesting class that you can't miss. Amazing professor that puts a lot of effort into delivering the topics. This class does require you to study as expected. Study and you will do just fine, highly recommend taking this class!

Never this sad about a class ending but he really made my semester, I adored him he really is great. Had him at 8am in the morning and the class was lively, it does require reading and note taking but this is college. Such an amazing person and he made me feel very calm in his class, going to really miss him!!!

Good atmosphere , perfect lectures , makes you wonder about life and nature, i love philosophy, so really enjoyed the class. But if your coming to joke around expect a low grade, you have to read to pass, if you read the books that are required , you'll deff get an A.

This professor has an amazing way of simplifying the complexity of thought. Highly intellectual lectures that make you question everything (in a good way) that you know. His grading is very fair. Everything on his tests and pop quizzes are things he taught in his lecture. There are no surprises if you have read the literature and show up.

Hes such a nice professor and very caring. His class isnt hard at all just pay attention and read what he assigns. He doesnt give writing homework just assigns reading, and only gives a midterm and a final and surprise quizzes. Take him, hes an easy A.

Hes hands down the best professor Ive had.

He is so sweet but hes a little older and no one laughs at his jokes. When the pandemic happened and we switched online, he recorded himself as the lectures. He gives weekly quizzes based on heavy readings that count as extra credit. THere is a midterm and noncumulative final (exactly the same as the quiz questions!!) Hard in person, easy online.

I really liked this professor and thought he is a very smart and precise and insightful lecturer. His class can be a challenge, and I had plenty of anxiety about it at the beginning of the semester, but everything wrapped up very well in the end. He gives good feedback. The readings can be hard and the questions force you to think carefully.

FELSER is such an amazing professor and lecturer. I highly recommend taking their classes when you're provided opportunities to. You will gain great fundamentals which will stick with you in a positive, beautiful way. Felser also provides AMAZING feedback. Felser creates a great curriculum to achieve success.

At first, I had a little difficulty understanding the course, but as we went along, the course turned out to be very good. The professor is outstanding and helpful and goes into detail with his mini pre-recorded lectures, which helped a lot. I recommend this professor!
