Foudy is a great professor. He has a good sense of humor and tells jokes all the time. Economics of Global Business is a hard class in general regardless of what professor you take. Given this, Foudy makes the class a lot easier by providing everyone with equal access to previous exam! Overall a good choice!

Foudy made the few days before an exam living hell, because his goal is to make exams as difficult as possible. He curves insane amounts, so most people pass. Beneath the comedic act, Foudy just isn't that great of a teacher. His lectures are pretty much optional. Go over the slide, read the book, and do the practice tests for a pretty likely A or A-. In fact, going to lectures and not reading the book will guarantee you less than a B+. Therefore, reading is essential to doing well and lecture irrelevant

Foudy does a good job in scaring students early, and it does tend to make the less ambitious Sternies all the more complacent when studying. Lecture is fun for the first third, but not essential.

GBT with Prof. Foudy is a really chill class. Assignments consists of 5 "memos" which are essentially short answer questions that are roughly a page and then 1 final essay. If you participate a lot (or even a few times) you easily become memorable and he'll keep referring back to moments in the class, which can be good or bad. Would take again!

Foudy is a great lecturer; the lectures are interesting and engaging, but not really useful at all for the exams. Speaking of exams, they make up 90% of the grade. There is no homework, which is deeply needed since Foudy sticks to concepts/real-world situations in his lectures and barely covers problems which are on the test. READ THE TEXTBOOK!

His lectures are like Ted Talks but for the exams, you mainly need to know the readings instead of remembering the lectures. The class is pretty interesting but he does seem rather opinionated and his jokes sometimes get a bit old.

Grade based on 3 exams, each worth 30%, and 10% for participation/attendance. Zero HW or group projects. Textbook reading technically required but none of it is tested on exams so nobody does them anyways. Everything tested will be covered by his slides/lectures. Super funny guy; makes 9:30 AM lectures more bearable. Tests are generously curved.

Class is graded by going to lectures and exam scores. Foudy's a great lecturer but talks very quickly. Exams test for lecture concepts, assigned readings, textbook knowledge, and most of all mathematical application of in-class theory (which he barely goes over). Luckily he provides multiple years of practice exams very similar to the real deal.

his lectures move fast but the slides are great and you can keep up easily. never a dull moment in his class. very funny. grade is almost all exams but if you review the slides the weekend before an exam you'll be fine. you can get away with not reading the textbook but there's always a few exam questions that were only in the textbook.

Professor Foudy is an expert in his field but I didn't have a great experience. He doesn't grade with partial credit, so if you get all steps of an algorithm correct, and your final answer is off by a decimal point, he will give you zero credit. He was also unhelpful after class, and was standoffish. Very disappointing because I did enjoy the class

Professor Foudy does have engaging and upbeat lectures that make you want to learn about economics of global business. However, I found that most of the things he talks about doesn't translate on exams as there are lots of quantitative problems to which he doesn't give much instruction to. Professor is knowledgable but class is still confusing.

Professor Foudy was an amazing professor because he knew a lot about topics and made class more interesting. There is a lot of reading, but the tests are not too bad because of the past exams, and I found them easier than other classes.

Professor Foudy seems like a great person, but I honestly was never able to keep up in class because he talked non-stop and would often go off on a tangent. Studying for his exams was actually the worst thing ever because he would test us on the most niche details from the 20+ readings he assigned, which he never talked about during lectures.

Class was a super interesting to me. Pretty challenging yet learned a lot. I discovered an app, Quizard, which seamlessly integrated with our class materials. It was surprisingly effective in helping me navigate through the toughest parts of the course. Highly recommend both the class for its depth and Quizard for making it manageable.

Lectures are fun if u can get his jokes. Prof. Foudy has lived in Asian countries for years & knows them comprehensively. Participation matters & u have to speak at least once per class. Exams covers readings so lots of work memorizing names & the readings' contents. He's cool.

His lectures are very interesting but it doesn't matter as long as you do all the readings. Make sure you participate in the class. He has a super fast pace in the class. You'll feel stressed at the beginning, but then you'll miss his lectures. A very respected, knowledgeable gentleman. Would want to take his class again if possible.

Had super engaging and entertaining lectures. Participation is important but he tends to speak over students' opinions to talk more, whether that be about Chappell Roan, how the latest Taylor Swift album sucked, or his personal vendetta against Sweetgreen. There's never really a dull moment during lectures

Mandatory class with dense material. Lectures are very engaging and helpful (in addition to the many readings) to take notes on. Participation matters, but he tends to steamroll people to continue the lecture. Provided past midterms to study against, textbook and articles are given as PDFs, slides on paper. Doesn't like laptops.

might just be one of the worst professors at NYU literally just doing this as a job for a salary so dry and literally the most annoying style of humor i may have every come across. tests are incredibly difficult and topics emphasized in class are almost completely absent form the test and topics that are barely covered are emphasized in the exams.

Professor Foudy teaches an engaging class, is funny, and relates course concepts to current issues. He cares about encouraging questions/participation and making his lessons as clear as possible, though he sometimes cuts off/speaks over students. The exams are based on memorization of the readings (reading-heavy course).
