Ok I absolutly love Gerda, He has got to be the best math teacher ive ever had. He give you time to do the hw in class and helps you whenever you need it. I hate Math, but i love him so much that whenver he teaches calculus again im there!!!!

joe is a GREAT teacher. hes great at teaching algebra, but okay for trig. he moves really fast but still helps us. gives hw to work on and single question quizzes directly from hw. test are easy but if u miss one question, your grade may drop. REQUIRED for algebra, recommended for trig.

In 3 yrs, Joe is the best teacher I've had at COC. I was so worried coming into stats and he made it virtually pain free. The tests can sorta be tough if you don't do homework to practice. As long as you do your work and show up, you're good to go. He's extremely funny too- random, but funny.

Greatest Teacher, he genuionly cares about his students and he's always there to help, show up to class and do your homework and his tests should be a breeze. If they're not, he's willing to help you find a way to make things work!!! Always willing to answer questions and always smiles!! He does have some pretty potent markers though!!!

Joe is what a teacher should be, clear, poignant, and doesn't underestimate the students' potential. Math is my worst subject, and many Math professors don't make it much better by embarassing you with this fact in public. However, Gerda realizes Math is a tricky subject for many and caters to individual needs with a gentle touch. Excellent.

I'm taking the hybrid class, so we have very little interaction with Professor Gerda, we only meet 4 times during the semester to turn in homework and take exams. He's so entertaining and he does such an excellent job in explaining that I wish the class met more often! Math is my least favorite subject, but he makes it as enjoyable as possible!

For me Math is so difficult to understand, I just don't get it. Mr. Greda is such a clever teacher he makes the class interesting and fun, and he CLEARLY answers all the questions the class throws at him. He really makes sense of what were doing and reaches the solution different ways to give variety to other students who just dont get it, like me.

Gerda is a really great professor. He makes math super easy by explaining everything really well. He cares about his students and wants them all to succeed. So he is willing to answer all questions in depth. He is also funny in a goofy way. He makes the class fun and interesting.

I do not like Math, but this wasn't that bad of a class. The professior was great. Very flexible with test schedule. I took the online class and he accomidates for if you can't make it the an exam, even the final. Great Professior

Absolutely amAzing teacher! I really hope I will get a chance to take him again for. Took him for calc and he made it REALLY fun and interesting somehow. Gave great 'hints' on what would be on tests. Is avail to ask q's during class time when we work on hw. Do all HW or the hw quiz will bite you in the butt (i got a B instead of an A cause of it)

Hands down, he is the best math teacher I have ever had! I wish I could take him for all my math classes. Math is very difficult and stressful for me but he maid it very easy and relaxed. He's super nice and doesn't pull any crazy tricks on the tests. Study and keep up with the hw and you should get a good grade!

He is a very nice guy, and he bends over backwards to help you pass. He goes over each thing once and then puts you in groups to work on it while he chats with students, which can be a problem if no one in your group got it! His practice tests are great, just like the exam, so make sure you know how to do what's on it and you're good!

BEST MATH TEACHER! teaching style and work is fair and manageable. 15 sec quizzes at every meeting, but you just copy a answer from your hw (assuming you did it). TESTS (3-4 problems) are incredible, they enforce the material learned without overwhelming you, and they are basic problems. class is beyond approachable! take him!

AMAZING TEACHER. Simple class structure: lecture on a section then time for hw, then next section's lecture followed by hw for the rest of the class. He's also a teacher of life lessons and has great stories for down time. He emphasizes punctuality: a short quiz on the previous meeting's material at the beginning of class. Best decision of my life.

Wonderful Stats teacher. He wants you to pass and will try to help you. Practice exams before actual exams are a HUGE help. Multiple chances to improve grades on homework or online coursework (I took this as a PACE class). I thought I'd be lucky to get a C in Stats but got an A thanks to Prof. Gerda. Worth the effort to get into his class.

Taking Gerda's class was the second time I took stats, and I really was worried I would have to take it again. He's super helpful, and I loved my class because we all helped each other out if any of us were confused. Take his class!! He really cares for his students!

I've always struggled with math and was nervous to take Stats. I took Gerd's eight week Stats class and found it to be wayyy easier to learn the material and to succeed in the class! He will help whenever you need help, and you do lots of group work which helped!! You should defiantly take this class with him and do it in just eight weeks!!

I took his fast past 8 week stats class and I'm terrible at math and hate it. I was skeptical taking it in 8 weeks but he is the BEST professor to take stats with. and you actually learn better in the 8 weeks than you do during a whole semester. Show up to class and try and you will pass his class no problem! he is super helpful,take him!

AMAZING. He wants you to be a team which helped us all pass the class at the end. At times it gets frustrating relying on each other, but in the end you learn, remember, and enjoy it more. He also doesn't let you give up. He is supportive and will help you when you really need it. Overall HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I took his class this Fall. Typically, Math is not my strong point. Once I took this class, I actually enjoyed Math. Could I have done better? Yes. If you really focus, it's an easy A! Professor Gerda is one of the best professors a student could ask for. He taught everyone so much more than just statistics and we all left better people because of his class. The BEST professor I have taken at my 2+ years at COC, no instructor compares to him. And I hate math! TAKE THIS CLASS. He teaches you a lot more than just math/statistics and he truly cares for each student. The class is not difficult, just show up and do the work. Expect to work with your classmates A LOT. I'm truly sad the class is over.

Gerda is the best math teacher I have ever had. His Pal class was amazing, everyone became so close and his teaching methods are so different than those typical boring math teacher. Pal is the way to go if you want to enjoy a math class and pass. No textbook, little homework, and even if you do horrible on tests, you will pass the class!

I hated this class when I first took this class because it seemed a little childish. But it ended up being the best class possible. There is a lot of team work on projects and tests which makes this class easy. Take it for PAL.

Great class. If you're not sure about statistics, Pal with Gerda is the way to go. He's strict on phone use during class so don't use your phone. Do the required homework on time and be a team player in groups and you will pass. Overall, really fun class. You make a lot of friends who will help you pass.

I really appreciate the fact that he knows he's teaching hard material and doesn't expect the students to get it in one day. I took Gerda a couple of years ago. I did very well in his class along with every other student. No one received lower than a B. Not bc hes easy but because in a PAL class you become close to others & they won't let you fail. It was a truly inspirational class and at the head of it was Gerda. Thank you Professor for all that you gave to us!!

If math isn't your strongest subject, Gerda is the best to take. He takes time out of his day to make sure his students are comfortable in his class environment. He cares more about each student than just cramming material into the semester. All you really have to do in this class is try and he'll pass you.

Best teacher ever! Take his PAL class (75/140). I hated math, but Gerda found a way to make it interesting. I got an A both times. You get close to your classmates, the last day of class was hard because it was like saying goodbye to your family. I highly recommend Professor Gerda. Best teacher at COC.

I LOVE GERDA SO MUCH. I WAS HESITANT ABOUT PAL BECAUSE I HATE MATH, However he really changed my whole percpective on math. Also, be prepared for group work very heavy in his class you will depend on your classmates to pass the class trust. But at the end it feels like a big family. First week sucked!! I asked gerda a question and he responded with "good question" and walked away without answering me, but he did it for a reason. moves you around & the class becomes like a family. Material is diffucult, but his grading system makes it somehow work. TAKE HIS CLASS THOU ! I SUCK at math & passed both classes with a B!

The best prof @ COC! you need to buy a code for OLI & StatCrunch & that's where you do the homework. he's not one to go up & lecture. you work with others and figure out the material & teach yourself. lots of group work. I suck @ math & I wouldnt have earned an A if it wasn't for my classmates. try in the class & don't be shy & you'll likely pass!!

When I say I HATE math I really mean I HATE math but professor Gerda changed that. I finished with an A in his class. His class are B average. In my class no one got lower then a B. You really depend on your classmates because they can help on tests. This class will feel like family by the end of the semester. Take Gerda you wont regret it.
