He is very easy and fair on grades. Just follow the due date for works and you will get a good grade on this class. Also he provides a fastastic exam review sheets. If you follow the exam review sheets..you will get easy A on exams ! So far..I like this professor. Really hope that he will teaches other classes :) good luck!

Mr. Hernandez is a devoted instructor who cares about ensuring his students understand the course materials,and have the needed tools to be successful in "Listening". Some of the materials included Active Listening, Mindful, Mindless, Hearing vs. Listening "very good stuff", and the Barriers to Active Listening .. "information you should know"!

Mr. Hernandez was a very organized, helpful, and respectful instructor. He made sure that we spent our time wisely on getting the information we needed out of the course. Listening skills are very important I'm today's society. Take his class he keeps it interesting and worthwhile.

Joseph understands and presents his subject well, skillfully utilizing the listening techniques taught. He designed an interesting curriculum that engaged us and was good at maximizing the class' attention span. He's very fair in telling you how to fulfill your assignments and test obligations. He also makes each student feel vital to the class!

I took my first business class with Joseph and it was fun and easy. Everything is straightforward and he's very easy going and very approachable. Also, you can use notes on your quiz and test which is a major plus!

He is very approachable and willing to help. If you study the study guides, the tests are very manageable. Classes are heavily based on Power Point slides, which can be monotonous, but he is fun and I highly recommend him.

A genuinely nice person who genuinely enjoys the what he does. He took the time to work with me near the end of the term to complete it and with a good grade. It's important to note he's not just dolling out the A's. If you don't do the work, don't communicate, and don't do the reading, you WILL fail.

Joseph is a great teacher. He goes above and beyond to make sure you understand the material and provides many different ways of reviewing the material. Tests and exams are easy to do if you read the material and take notes when he does the power points. I would definitely choose him for a teacher in the future.

Great Professor! Power Points on all the chapters, but you must read the text book it order to understand the Power Point. He gives a lot of extra credits; and that really help me bring my scores. He has a lot of knowledge in what he teaches and very helpful.

The data provided was relevent to the subject. No overkill on the number of reading assignments to drive the point. The sequence of learning was relevent to the topic, walking you through the process of thinking through the problem. This was a short class with no textbook so the reading material was essential to passing the class.

Prof. Hernandez is a really friendly instructor. The class was easy to get an A in if you do all of the homework, and it wasn't overkill like some other teachers with one credit classes. I really appreciated his class and the way he taught. I would definitely take from him again. There was no textbook to buy either!!

He is an average teacher. The best thing that I feel is his nice personality, ethusiasm and helpfulness. The tests are super easy, get prepared for the note as much as possible and you can get it done easily as a cake. The class is boring, but if you want to get A, Joseph's classes are the best choices

MSD 222 was the third class I signed up for online with Mr. Hernandez. He is a very good instructor in the fact that he cares about his students. He is flexible and quick to respond when you need more specification or time on a project.

Joseph is invested and skilled in the content he teaches, as well as in teaching itself. Course material is relevant and the workload appropriate. Mr Hernandez encourages participation but doesn't put anyone on the spot, and he answers questions thoughtfully. His expectations are clear, but he's available to help clarify anything if you need it.

He is respectful and willing to help his student in many aspects.

To be honest he is an easy going and nice professor. He is willing to help however he can and besides he gives a bunch of extra credit opportunities to improve your grade. If you are the kind of a person who skips 4-5 classes a term then not the right teacher for you. The are only two tests which are really easy. Hope this review helped.

I like clear cut goals and direction. Mr. Hernandez is one the best teachers Ive ever had! I took 2 or 3 courses with him and they were very beneficial and interesting. Thankfully, I graduated from PCC and currently working in a finance company in Saudi Arabia. His classes and way of teaching taught me a lot about the business world and how to overcome barriers. I took BA 101 over the weekend. Joseph is really engaged with the students. He's responds quickly to emails, and he's open to give any clarification on the assignments. He was kind enough to let our class take a vote on when we could schedule on midterm exam. Make sure to participate in class, and take advantage of the extra credit.

He was really nice and funny. He made sure everyone understandstood everything that was going on and really tried to make sure everyone participated. His music choices were fantastic.

Assignments and discussions are simple, gives you clear grading criteria. As long as you turn things in on time and make sure to incorporate all the requirements in assignments, you should get an A. Only thing is he gives repetitive feedback for assignments.

I took two online classes and he is one of my favorite teachers! The classwork was laid out clearly so you always knew what was planned each week. He always gave great feedback and as long as you read the book/ completed the assignments, the tests were no problem. Id highly recommend him.

This class is very helpful in terms of learning about business writing and communications. There was a discussion, quiz, and assignment about each week, along with a final. Everything is relatively easy to complete in a timely manner. He isnt a tough grader, so I got a 100% on nearly every assignment, quiz, and discussion. Easy A course.

Jospeh is a great person, he responds to emails really fast. During the term we had an assignment each week except for the last two weeks which was really nice. We didn't have many discussions either. As long as you do your homework correctly, and do the quizzes each week you will do great. At the end of the term there will be a Final as well.

Loved his class. Made it fun by trying to keep our class energy up, through his jokes. He also caring towards students' success, as he tries to share tips and advice for future career goals. Keep up with discussions on d2l and show effort in papers, and he will pass you. Tests are a little bit hard so make sure to use up the note card.

He was a good professor. I didn't like that he assigned a research paper and informational interview, but they were very helpful in gaining insight. So what he assigned is definitely helpful in your career development. He doesn't give much quizzes. Easy A if you do your work.

This was a really great class! His humor and personality are what made the class so well rounded. Hes super caring about his students and offers advice on real life situations. Definitely keep up on D2L (discussions, calendar,etc), study/read the chapters, take advantage of the notecard on quizzes, and participation is a huge factor for him!

Mr. Hernandez is a great teacher. He makes classes very enjoyable and he truly cares for his students. You definitely have to put in work for this class, and make sure that you keep up with the readings, it is very important! Also, keep track of your emails and D2L for any updates. Mr. Hernandez is an honest professor and is very communicative with students. He lays out the course expectations and requirements on the first day. His feedback is insightful and helps you develop a plan of action for yourself during the course; he is always open for help but you must be straight-forward and honest.

Joseph was well informed and patient, but set clear expectations.

Feedback given was generic but it's not a huge dealbreaker. Each week was laid out the same with 1-3 chapters to be read, a study guide to fill out, an assignment or two, a discussion post, and a quiz. Some weeks we didn't have to write a post or do an assignment so workload was manageable. Class was easy, material was just a bit mundane.

Professor Hernandez was great! I was nervous going into this class...I've never taken a class in this area! He made it so laid back and comfortable. He made it clear what was expected throughout the term and definitely expects you to participate in class!! He took the time to make sure we all understood what we were reading/talking about!

I could listen to him read the dictionary, and his personality permeates his lectures. He makes listening and learning easy and exciting. Some teachers you get bored and tune out, however with him he keeps your attention and keeps you engaged. I am one of those easily distracted and a doodler, in his class I was always eagerly engaged.

I really enjoyed my time in Professor Hernandezs class. He was very clear on what we wanted from his students, gave great feedback, and was open to any questions we had about the material. I would highly recommend this professor to any student looking to study business.

This professor is down to earth and takes time to connect with his students. He offers many extra credit opportunities. I received 20 extra credit points for both of his classes and honestly could have greatly benefited if I had utilized all of the extra opportunities. Very accessible, supportive, and encouraged participation in class. Made online learning due to the pandemic as easy and straight forward as he could be.

He is very responsive to emails. He will help you out with an assignment if you're stuck. A fair amount of extra credit is offered. Pretty straight forward. Quiz weekly. Assignment weekly. Standard discussion post and two responses. Read two chapters (generally). This was a summer covid condensed online class, so your mileage may vary.

Condensed Summer 2020 class. There were the usual discussions w/ 2 replies, quizzes, assignments, final exam. Study the quizzes to prepare for the final. Some of the questions are reused in the final exam. He also offered multiple opportunities for extra credit. He responds timely to emails. His feedback is thoughtful, but seems generic.

Class is your typical business 200 class. Homework and reading can be a little heavy. However the quizzes are not bad and the grading is pretty clear. The professor is a little slow with grading. Also at times can be a little bit short and snooty. Otherwise I would take the class again.

He is very lenient on letting your re-do papers or giving out extra credit options. He is also willing to work with you if you miss deadlines. He provides screenshots of the book pages for assignments, so I didn't even need to get the book. Also, the work and hw is just a little bit, which is awesome. Awesome teacher that understands his students

A great teacher for BA206, lots of reading, quizzes are simple but you need to read the chapter. Fun projects and assignments you do on your own, this was different and fun. He's easy going during the zoom class sessions, but make sure you study and participate. I would definitely take another course from him.

Prof Hernandez chose interesting assignments that I enjoyed and didn't hate doing. "In class" (zoom) is more discussion than lecture (a plus in my book), with participation being very important. Don't procrastinate and choose interesting topics for assignments and this class won't be painful. Will see if he is teaching my courses in the future.

Took remotely, meeting is just him reading off slides.Each week is 1-2 chapter reading, a short quiz, a chapter activity, & only 4 discussion posts throughout the whole term.He can take a bit long to grade things, and feedback can be copied and pasted, but super easy grader.Can honestly finish the week's work in 1-2 days. Overall easy A, recommend.

Lovely professor. The workload is pretty manageable. The only thing I didn't like was the 20-question quizzes that were randomized in the next attempt. Overall, the class was very educational and the activities/discussions were easy. Responds to emails quickly too.
