Very nice guy but I have to say that he is the most BORING professor that I have ever had!! His class is a real snoozer!! I hate to dis on him because he really is cool but soooo boring!!!!

Good Teacher makes class and labs exciting as much as he can because some of the topic are down right boring but he makes them interesting. He is a laid back, smart teacher who can really help you understand the materials if you are having problems. I would take another class from him

Super prof- altho attendance mandatory, lectures are on powerpoint, labs are handouts; disections on starfish & fetal pig. Sincerely wants to help students- has some cool stories to share too. Made even botany more appealling!

AMAZING Professor!!, he goes out of his way to help you if you don't understand a concept and is very nice if you are having a hard grasping it. The test is based off the power points, so no surprise questions on something you haven't studied for. If you have to take up to BIO 2, I would recommend taking Dr.Husband!.

Professor Husband is a truly awsome professor! He's extremely laid-back, and very helpful. The book is not mandatory, and neither is attendence, however: In order to do well on the tests, you MUST pay attention in class. The material isn't the easiest at times, but Husband is always willing to help!

Dr. Husband is an awesome professor. He will do everything he can to help you understand class. But you can not screw around in his class and expect an easy A. The material is challenging and study for each test a LOT. He had to dumb down my class significantly because a lot of people we not succeeding. He is a sweetheart and an awesome teacher.

Professor Husband is a great teacher, just read the book to understand the concepts . He uses the power points for the study guides and everything that is on the ppt and study guide is on the test. Six tests all of them multiple choice, the lowest one is dropped and one take home. If I had to take another biology class I will def. take him.

Professor Husband was awesome! He is a very helpful teacher! He is very laid back and encourages you to ask questions in class. He is always available to help any student. He gave 6 tests and 14 quizzes. You can drop one test. Tests aren't the easiest, but with some effort, they aren't too bad. Quizzes are just there to help your score. I got an A.

Excellent professory, laid back, and funny. He gives you notes that you can print out in advance for the class lecture. As long as you study its an easy A. I highly suggest you take him.

Incredible professor and very nice man. He does his best to help you pass. Just try and study. If you have problems with evolution, he's your guy (though he teaches evolution, he isn't mean or dogmatic). I'm a Christian and we had a couple of talks on evolution and Christianity and he was perfectly open. Great teacher. Very interesting. Take him!

He teaches right off his power points and all exams come right off his power points. One of the exams given is a take-home exam. He is pretty laid back and wants you to succeed. Has a great personality. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

He is a great teacher. Cool and down to earth. He's passionate about his work but can be a little ditzy. Sometimes he forgets we have class, but all notes/powerpoints are on blackboard, homework/quizzes on blackboard, some take home test, and gives you MONTHS to complete everything. i seriously hated science but thanks to Mr. Husband i want to learn more about it. his class is super easy just pay attention to the lectures and if you didnt quite get all the notes you need he has them on blackboard. The tests and exam are super easy they are right off the ppts just study. OH! he's a hottie lol

Great professor. He is very fast paced, but he gives a chance for you to ask any questions. The lab portion of the class was fun. Try taking the class with someone you know, because all the labs are in groups. The tests are challenging, but study guides are always provided. Professor Husband is very laid back and down to Earth.

I took the hybrid class. The once a week class is lectures going over powerpoint. Professor is extremely fast, but if you listen, take notes, attend class, and study the powerpoints/study guide: you will pass. Love this professor! Helpful when you need it!

Professor Husband made a subject that could easily be very dull, a lot more interesting. The tests were sometimes hard (that was due to the complexities of some of the information) but as long as you study and ask questions you can do well. He is more than willing to answer questions and assist. I would absolutely recommend taking him. =)

Dr. H really knows his subject. I work full-time, so had to take evening class. He was very understanding if work schedule caused me to be a few minutes late. Pay attention at the off-site lab work sites, study the lecture notes and give "college level" responses to test and you will pass. Would recommend!!

Awesomeeee Professor... Very clear, knows what he is taking about. He also have a way of making what he is lecturing about very interesting to his students.. He don't seem to have a mean bone in his body.. Would love to sit under his teaching again.

He is great, he will help you if you ask, quiz every week, 4 tests.

Attendance does not count and lectures are short. Most of the time, we didn't even stay for the whole class (I took 9:00am MW). He always tries to answer your questions. There are five tests the third test is a take home test. Connect assignments are not mandatory but will add an extra letter grade to your final grade.

Joseph was great! You have 4 exams, 2 in class and 2 are take home. Exam 5 is optional if you want to bring up your grade. HW is also optional but if you all the HW he will bring up your by a full letter. I hate Science but I passed his class with an A. Please take him you will not regret it. He will be using a free book next semester

I love how he understands that we're all not there to become scientists, so he doesnt speak "scientist" language. book not necessary, 5 tests & drops lowest, hw brings grade up by full letter grade.

Prof. Husband was excellent. 4 exams, 2 of them are take home and they consist of exactly what are on the study guides. He's hilarious, laid back, interesting and wants you to make an A. He is also using a free text book next semester and you'll most likely run into him at the bar. TAKE HIM!

I had some very extreme family issues the semester I took Professor Husband and he was absolutely great. He worked with me and let me come in and take my test whenever it worked for my schedule, he curved our tests if I remember correctly and he was super easy. He gives you study guides and some of the tests are take home. Easy A.

This class only had four tests and one was a take home exam. Follow the study guides and you will pass. Professor Husband is amazing and makes biology as simple as possible.

Great professor, easy class as long as you study for the exams. He gives you a study guide with everything on it that you would need to know. He will also drop the lowest test score and you have one take home exam. Its a very easy class overall, just keep up with the context and you will do fine. I recommend this professor to everyone!

Probably the best Professor I've had so far. Class was super easy. Great lectures, knows exactly what he's talking about. Gives reviews for tests. If you do the review and remember everything on it, you'll get 100 on the test plus bonus points. I really hope that I can take him again.

I am not a science guy. Professor Husband gave us all the info we needed to know and as long as you study that you are fine. His tests were not very long either. I never took notes. I would just read over the powerpoints and I was just fine.

If you not very good in biology he is your professor he an very good professor... You have five exam in he drops your lowest exam out ... Also he gives extra credit! I recommend him to everyone he is a must take!!! I haven't taken biology in a while in I Made an B in the class

Dr. Husband is a phenomenal professor, I really enjoyed taking his class. Lectures are fun to listen to, and he gives you everything that you need to pass the tests. There are 4 tests and weekly labs/quizzes. He's very relaxed and funny, and makes learning fun. Highly recommended.

Took this online. The syllabus dates weren't correct, but that wasn't a big deal to me. He gives 1 midterm exam, which is proctored. Most of work is participating in discussion boards and a few quizzes here and there.

Class isn't required, with the exception of test day. You don't really have to pay for the book, as he gets everything straight from his powerpoints. He also gives you study guides that are exactly the same thing as the test so it's near impossible to fail if you put in effort and study. A wonderful teacher, would recommend

Hot. All his exams are from the powerpoint and lectures. Pretty self explanatory. He makes you like learning about science. I had to study a lot for his tests just because I don't always get it all when he lectures. Theres a lot of terms to remember but it is manageable.

He was a great guy, super nice. However, he sped through a lot of the information that he went over in class. I failed almost every test in here and usually I do well in a science class. Only take him if you are willing to work for it.

Professor Husband is clear about what students should expect from the class. He makes biology easy to understand, and his passionate point of view makes students want to listen. His practice tests are very helpful and he also hates the alkaline diet.

Very easy-going professor. Makes an otherwise dull class interesting and also puts things in laymans terms. Powerpoint lectures for material. 5 tests - 3 in class, 2 take home. Homework was optional. Exams were the same as the study guides and were fairly easy considering it being a science class. Multiple choice/matching style. Would take again.

He's a good professor. He doesn't really interact with you other than to give you feedback on your discussion post or if you have any questions. He replies very fast. It takes him a little longer to grade assignments but his feedback is always good. You have one test and it's the midterm- the rest are quizzes. Great class. Easy A.

Mr. Husband is a fair grader, he lets you know up front that his test are hard and it's the truth. Give it your all and you can't fail, just do what is expected of you. Don't wait until the last minute to complete assignment.

This professor is probably by far the BEST one I've had since my college experience. He's understanding and nice. I missed a few classes and still managed to get a B+ in the class. The tests aren't hard if you study for them. This class is an easy A if you do everything he says. Overall I would definitely take him again if I could!

He is straight forward, when he tells you his test are hard he is telling you the truth. Yes, the test are hard but you learn SO much just preparing to study for them. Study, go to lecture, write your reports, and you'll do just fine.

Dr Husband is an amazing professor! Hes very easy to talk to and doesnt come off intimidating. Super chill but wants you do your work. Earn the grade! An A is possible. He teaches Cell Bio and special topics within the bio med degree.

He is amazing! He is so relaxed and passionate about the material that it makes it interesting and easy to retain! I was nervous for the tests, but they were SO much easier than expected. You still have to put in effort, but he makes the material a lot easier to remember. He posts study guides for each test which is super helpful! would take again!

Very chill and easy to understand. Our grade only came from 6 exams, and he would drop the lowest score. He provided a study guide for each exam that had questions essentially word-for-word on the exam. His powerpoints are online too. As long as you memorize the study guides, you should get an easy A.

Husband teaches a mostly lecture based class, lots of powerpoints. Also does study guides before the exam based on the powerpoints, which are always accessible. Do the study guides and you will pass. There isn't a whole lot of homework, but do what you get, including the extra credit, and you can't lose.

Im currently taking his courses now and I can tell you he is not picky on work and you will learn a lot if you just sit and listen to him. I rarely have professors that I actually feel like they know what theyre saying, but hes very knowledgeable and I will definitely look for his name in future courses if hes available.

This was one of the best science professors I have had so far! I took his online 12-week lecture worried about stressing so much I would eventually pull my hair out since this class directly relates to my field of study. However, to my surprise he based all the quizzes right out of the book, he was able to email me back within 24 hours.

Professor Husband is a great teacher. He truly cares and wants his students to succeed. He always replies to emails/questions in a timely manner. Most of the work in this class was discussion-based but there are still a couple of essay-style assignments. He accepts late work and is very understanding.

I took BSC1005 as an online summer class. Dr. Husband is a top-notch biology professor and the homework is not super difficult. 11 modules of quizzes and 6 exams which can be time consuming but are doable as long as you pay attention during class and brush up in the textbook.

If you have an issue with anything in the online textbook he will take care of it. Even changed my grade when the online system mark some of my questions as wrong. Very understanding.

I absolutely love this professor. Ive taken another biology class at south campus and failed but I decided to drive all the way to Kent to take this professor. You absolutely wont regret taking his class either online or in person. 6 Test that arent proctored and multiple choice and 15 assignments. You can finish this class in a few days.

Take this class! The text book and work was online and super easy. No due dates and everything was open book. I enjoyed his lectures so much, he is very intelligent and has many funny stories. He genuinely cares about his students and it shows. He answers emails quickly and is always willing to help you.

I don't usually like online classes, but Prof Husband was very accessible through email and did everything he could to help. There are a lot of small assignments which meant a lot of opportunities to make a good grade. Some of them felt a little pointless, but none were extremely difficult. No due dates so you have all semester to do them.

Prof Husband's BSC1005 was my first class taken for college credit and I was not disappointed. 12-15 Modules (1 assignment per module), 1 test every 3 modules. One of the least demanding classes I've taken. Late work is accepted for full credit if it's done by the end of the semester. Highly recommend this class and professor.

GREAT PROFFESSOR!! Although attendance isn't required, it helps to go. He really breaks down the coursework and teaches what is most important in the chapter. If you fail something he'll most likely let you take it again. Highly reccomend.

TAKE HIM PLEASE! Amazing professor, everything was mostly open book/open note which is helpful for non-STEM majors. He created his own textbook which gets straight into the meat for each topic and made it easy to understand and actually be interested. His jokes were amazing and overall a GREAT professor!!

Professor Husband was super easy and flexible. The class I took was self paced, but he did keep a chart to keep track of the weekly assignments. Very easy class to pass the assignments and exams were super easy.

Loved taking this class with Prof. Husband. All the work was done at home and could be done without a book. He wrote the book and made PowerPoint presentations to sum up every chapter. Easy assignments, asked for your opinion and gave you a grade. Though they required knowledge, I prefer this way of learning versus regurgitating things. Exams easy.

This course was at your own pace which I loved! He gave out study guides that helped prep for test. Overall he was an awesome professor.

Taking environmental science with Prof. Husband is a great choice! You are expected to complete the work on your own, as it is a self-paced online class. He grades in a timely manner and leaves constructive comments for improvement on future assignments.

Prof. Husband is really great. This class was online, and everything was at your own pace, which I finished everything a month early! The class consisted of exams/assignments. He gives you great study guides and the lectures he provides give you most answers to the study guides. He is also a very quick grader and responds very quickly.

Self -Paced class.I watched the hour lectures but u can read from the text book. I did not use the online text book at all. There are 5 quizzes on the lectures.15 assignments on your opinion on the topic for the week. Since it is self paced I did all of my work the week before the course was due and still passed w/ A and learned a lot! Fast grader.

I've taken all online courses this semester, and this professor is the only one that has graded my assignments in a clear, timely manner. I can tell he's actually passionate about the subject and puts effort into his assignments. The assignments can be time-consuming but not difficult to understand, and he's a pretty easy grader.

Such a great prof!! I would take his classes over and over again. I did have to buy a 80ish dollar text book. The assignments are pretty straight forward and simple and the exams are lengthy but pretty easy if you've studied and looked at the study guide. His lectures were really informative and he was a great prof!

Professor Husband's class was a breeze. The open-book/open-note format and his custom textbook made studying a breeze. Unstuck AI proved really helpful for prepping. Overall, a super engaging and painless class - would recommend!

Very straightforward and kind. The textbook (that he wrote) is easy to understand and gradually builds on the concepts taught, but it's expensive ($80). There are a lot of small writing assignments. Lectures are excellent, but the background noise in them was often louder than his voice and very distracting. Overall great professor!

The work was laid out well and the necessary materials were provided,. The assignments were thought provoking, but not too difficult. The grading was almost instantaneous, accompanied with great feedback.

You honestly do not have to follow due dates, he will grade as you turn them in, which has proven to be very helpful in my busy life. He is a quick and efficient grader and provides good feedback. There is no meeting times, but there is a textbook that he wrote that is very easy to follow along to.

Best professor I've ever had! There aren't many like him who actually understand that we have lives outside of school, work, other classes, etc. I took him last year (Summer 2024 and fall for the lab version) and I wish he taught more classes. The professor was great. he understood the class was starter class and required for most. He took time despite people not showing up to show the few who were there to still go through the lecture and teach those who needed it. He gives good feedback and doesn't waste time.

He was an amazing professor. He cares about his students and he is willing to help you with any assignment. His class was a discussion board one week and then the next week an assignment. It will rotate. His final is a quiz but it is really easy if you read the textbook but you can do it without reading it. I would definitely recommend his class.
