good, funny teacher
i HATE government. he actually makes it interesting and gives great examples.
never fell asleep in his class - good teacher. he talks about EVERYTHING that will be on the tests, u just have to listen and take notes.
Excellent professor! His tests are difficult, but as long as you show up to class, pay attention and take good notes, you should do very well. I only wish I hadn't gotten all the Poli Sci credits I need for my degree, so that I could take another of his courses!
I loved his class. I would take it over if I could. The lectures were never boring.
never could pronounce his name, but whats more important is that this dood is a killer teacher. he really prepares his lectures well and is easy to follow. awesome teacher, nice guy.
easy going , active guy, always talked abt how ppl mess up his name...hehe but he was interesting and erything he gave in his notes willl surely give u an 80% in da class, and he grades on a curve, gotta get dis guy...he rocks!!
His tests are much easier now, they feel like high school tests. Excellent, cute, and cool professor. Easy, but you still learn alot. Very helpful, nice, and talkative when you visit him. Loves to teach. I only wish I had him for more classes.
he really is as good as they say--even better! personally, even though he doesn't take attendance---GO TO CLASS!!! many of his exam questions are from notes in class, some from the book, and 2 or 3 from the reader he requests for class! he initiates class participation/interaction, and he grades fairly, VERY energetic, he never loses his energy!!
AWESOME teacher would definatly reccomend anyone take this guy. The only thing is you don't want to miss class because while he doesn't take attendence you will fail if you skip to many classes.
Ignagni for president! this cat rocks
Well attendance is required. If you miss class make sure you know someone who has the notes. The books are also required for this course as well. He is a very helpful professor. My main problem was the fact I did not want to study and in order for you to pass, you have to study for this class. I made a C, but I knew I could have done better.
Most amazing teacher! I had dropped out of Political Science last semester so I was dreading this class. I found the class exciting, fun and interesting. I am now even considering going into Law because of it. Ignagni is INCREDIBLE!
There is something super sexy about how he knows sooo much about pol. sci. tall, italian, funny and above all interesting and kind hearted! :) I LOVE YOU!!!
He keeps class VERY interesting, but you must attend! There is NO review, review day or homework. He's tests are straight from the lecture. He's funny so class isn't torture. He says a third of the tests are from the textbook, but I would just go through and find the cases and vocab and study that and I pulled an easy A.
Enthusiastic, energetic, knowledgeable, witty, approachable, no-nonsense, blunt and dedicated. Great prof who used to be a Dean he declined to continue because he loves teaching. This class had a heavy workload. Lots of reading. Treats it like a watered-down law school class. He WILL call on you to ask you questions about the reading, be prepared!
I hated government my whole life. Never have been able to find it interesting. After one semester of taking this guy, I now love government. Although attendance is not required, go to class. He's so interesting and funny. Plus if you go to class you can study for only like 30 min before each test and still make you an easy A.
THIS CLASS ROCKS!!! Ignagni is an amazing teacher! He keeps the class interesting and fun at the same time. You must show up to every class, take good notes, and do all the reading; you will get an A. I found myself excited to get to his class! He also gives extra credit! :)
He is by far the best teacher I have ever had. After taking this course I considered changing my major. Make sure you go to EVERY class! Take this class, you won't regret it.
By FAR the BEST Prof I've ever had!!! Really Awesome, Hilarious, and Interesting... I hated politics but after taking his class i actually consider changing my major... His tests are easy as long as you go to the classes, you really dont have to read the txt but it does help for maybe 2 or 3 Q's on the tests.... you won't regret taking this Prof.
Dr. Ignagni is amazing! I only wish he could teach all of my classes. He could make anything interesting. Oh, and you do need to go to class, but more than likely you'll WANT to go.
GREAT PROFESSOR.....his lectures are interesting and he is always joking, but overall a good professor. I didn't really attend class a lot but if you read the book, you will pass his course.
Ignani is my favorite professor here at UTA. Hilarious, witty, helpful. I'm looking forward to his class every single Tuesdays and Thursday. Awesome professor. A lot of reading, which accounts approximately 25% of his tests. Attendance is not mandatory but if you want to do good in his class, go to class and take good note.
Very good professor sometimes lectures were boring but he mad it as interesting as possible. Take GOOD NOTES! have to read the book and take notes on what you read. When studying for test you have to study over class notes and over notes you took over the readings.
Great professor!! Keeps students engaged and he is very enthused and knowledgeable about his field of expertise. I would def recommend this guy to anyone.
An amazing professor, one of the best I've had at UTA. He's very nice, funny, cute and Italian! If you come to class everyday and take notes you will do great!! Don't really need the book, most of the test questions are from the lecture.
Extremely passionate professor, witty and smart. has clear expectations. about a quarter of the material is book-based, but the lectures are easy to understand and are very entertaining.
Let me just say that I had no clear understanding of politics but this professor caught my attention. He is very enthusiastic and made it a great learning experience. You do have to go to class because tests come from lectures but seriously you would want to go to class. Highly recommend!
I was dreading politics but it ended up being one of my favorite classes. He's very interesting, easy to understand and straight forward i highly recommend taking this class!!!
Make a wise decision and take his class! He is extremely entertaining, helpful, and straightforward. Take good notes during class and skim the texts. 3 Test grades and thats it. If you go and talk to him in his office he will remember you and help you out with whatever you need. Also, he knows political science well! Fave prof hands down.
BEST law prof @ UTA! expert in his field, funny and interesting, great material covered in class. take this guy if you have any interest in law school or legal issues. you will learned SO MUCH!
Great professor who makes a very boring subject (for me, at least) actually interesting! Attendance not mandatory but i HIGHLY recommend going to class. Most of his test questions are from lectures! Loved his class. Wish I wasn't done with polisci so i could take him again
This is by far the BEST prof. I've ever had in my life. He's lectures are so entertaining and he really makes you think and maybe even care about politics. If you go to class and take good notes there's no reason why you shouldn't get an A!
Professor Ignagni makes a very boring subject very interesting. His class was always one I looked forward to because his lectures were always so entertaining. Just look at the vocabulary in the book, find the summaries for the reader, and glance over your notes before the test. Easy A.
He is an awesome teacher! Prior to this class I had absolutely no interest in politis or the government. He is a professor that is able to keep the class engaged in discussions and allows students to LEARN. He is completely unbiased and this allows students to form their own opinions about politics and the government itself. Take him!
He is my favorite teacher this semester! He actually makes me eager to go to class. He makes the subject interesting and keeps the class engaged. I have already learned so much. There are only 3 multiple choice tests that are 75% from lectures and 25% from book. I would recommend him to anyone.
Take this professor and you will not regret it. I love this man's class. It's fun, literally fun to hear his lectures. I'm glad I chose him last minute for my schedule. I'm not mad at all. It's a great course.
BEST POLS teacher everr! You will never be so interested in political science unless you take Ignagni.! He is an awesome teacher!!! I wish he taught all my classes!(:
Fantastic teacher!! He's always pumped up and energetic making class interesting and his test are easy as long as u take good notes 70% of the questions come from notes the rest from the books. Wish all teachers enjoys their job as much as him!!
Prof. Ignagni is AWESOME! I learned so much and he gives tons of examples to help you understand. He's simplistic and funny. Tests are 75% based off of lecture notes and 25% from the book. So go to class; plus it's fun!
very easy IF YOU ATTEND. each test has 3-4 problems from each day of lecture. He makes things very clear and easy to understand. Never requires You to Memorize dates AT ALL!!!
Ignagni is an AWESOME teacher. I wish I had more teachers like him. He makes Poli Sci very interesting and makes it to where anyone is able to understand it. GO TO CLASS! if you do that, you're for sure going to get an A.
The best professor I've ever had!! He loves what he teaches and the energy he puts into his lectures is infectious. He has 3 tests and a quiz with 100 total questions and 75 of them come from lectures and 25 from the books. If you go to class and take notes it's not very difficult.
GREAT CLASS, I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE WHO IS INTERESTD IN LAW AND IS CONSIDERING GOING TO LAW SCHOOL , THE TESTS ARE NOT TOO DIFFICULT IN WHICH INVOLVE MULTIPLE CHOICE AND ESSAY BUT OVERALL A GREAT COURSE VERY HANDS ON AND KNOWLEDGEABLE OF THE SUBJECT
Even though I think my comment doesnt makes a big difference because obviously everyone loves Ignagni, I still feel compelled to do this because of how GREAT of a professor he is. There's not enough emphasis of how good he is. Attend every single class and you'll ace that class. You'll actually learn and have fun, even if you've hated poli sci
Absolute allstar professor. By far the best teacher I've ever had, and will have. Very excited about his subject, passionate, loves what he does, wakes you up, wants you to succeed, answers emails, very helpful, unique and fun exam. Cannot say enough good things about this man. DEFINATELY taking more classes with him. Highly reccomended 10/10.
Professor Ignagni is as good as it gets. He lectures with passion and seems genuinely interested in teaching his students the ins and outs of law, particularly Constitutional Law in my case. I definitely recommend all Political Science Majors to take him as much as possible if there is any invested prior interest in this field of Political Science.
Ignagi is really passionate about political science and really tries to make you like it too. Classes are not mandatory, but it is essential to passing class. He's really straightforward and is constantly pushing us to do well. He's a great professor!
Interesting and exuberant. Basically if you go to class and take notes you're guaranteed to get 75% of his test questions right. The other 25% comes from the book. He will curve a bit, but it was still harder to get an A than I thought it would be. However I doubt there is a Govt 1 teacher that is more excited about his subject than Dr Ignangni
Amazing Lecture! I loved this class. He explains everything very well! 75% of the test comes from his lectures. 25% comes from the book. So if you read the book and attend class then you will get a good grade in the class!
Take him! He makes you like PolScience. I had no idea about politics and didnt care about it but he made me like it. His lectures are awesome and never boring. You feel like listening to him cause he is that good. His exams are fair. Not too lame and not too hard. You will love his class cause he is just too good. Intelligent and well spoken.
I love this Professor!! He is the best in poly science!! I would RECOMMEND to take him.
Ignagni is the best professor I have ever had. His passion and knowledge of political science shows in his lectures. There is 100 total points you can earn in his class through a very small number of tests and quizzes. If you go to lecture you will pass, but if you also read the material you will get a 100. TAKE HIM YOU WONT REGRET IT
I LOVE THIS PROFESSOR. He is an amazing professor. HE lecture are so GOOD and INTERESTING. You will never get bored in that class. His 75% of the lectures are on the test and 25 % from the book. HE doesn't use power-point but its really easy to take notes. I Would definitely RECOMMEND him. I wish i can take him again. I just love him.
Simply the best political science professor. He is the best and the easiest professor. His lectures are such effective that you don't forget them until you yourself want to. Tests are straight forward and are based mostly on lectures. Skimming the textbook is enough to make a great score.
Great professor, but definitely tough. Go to class, take notes, read the required books and you'll do fine. Just don't slack off when its time to study for the exams. I studied a week before each exam and still struggled a bit.
Loved his lectures! He really loves political science. Have to attend class to pass. Easy tests. But, you have to read.
Ignagni is an amazing professor to take. He is very clear on what you need to know for exams and is hilarious in class. You will not regret taking the class. Easy A if you put in minimal effort. Some questions on exams do come exclusively from the textbooks. Attendance is not mandatory. He does talk for the whole lecture, rarely ending early.
Professor Ignagni is one of the best professors I have had. As a college freshman I find most classes very intimidating, but not this one. Political Science is not my strong suit, but this guy made everything very easy to grasp. He also is very funny, so lectures are good. You HAVE to show up to class though, or you will fail.
Most memorable and engaging professor I had at UTA. I was a film student at the time and was only taking his class for credit. He really seems to love what he does, and is very approachable. But you are expected to learn and just breeze through his class. You, the student, have to do YOUR part, too. (Show up, take lots of notes, and do the work.)
He makes a complicated topic, easy and interesting!! best political science prof
TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! I'm not even a political science major, I just needed the credit. However, this man made politics very interesting to me and I now keep up with it. He is an AMAZING professor and I wish he taught all my classes. He has so much passion for his subject and it really shows when he teaches. 100% take this professor.
Amazing professor. Really cares about the students and passionate about the subject. Repeats to help in note taking. Easy A if you come to class and read a little.
He's a really good teacher he made me so interested in political science I almost thought of changing my major. His grading is different but you can get an A with just a little effort. Make sure you go to lecture cause that's all the tests are really over and skim the definition and articles in the assigned books, do fine.
Great prof. Easy to follow and understand. Only downside is that he grades on 100 points for the entire semester meaning if you miss 10 questions are the first test, you're already sitting at a 90 for the semester. He is really helpful and is likely to curve.
Awesome professor! Take it, you won't regret it. Taking notes and going to class is essential to pass this class. Test are easy, some tricky questions, but totally doable!!
If your degree requires you to take any POLS, you MUST take him. I think it should be mandatory for you to take his class. His lectures are clear and organized. However, you must do your work before the exam because he only gives you two exams for the whole semester. One of the BEST professor I had ever taken.
G.O.A.T professor. You need to work. Don't skip class. Take amazing notes. Study your notes. Make good friends. Best class ever. Not an easy A, but well worth a B. Class was shaped like a law course. If you plan on going to law-school, this is a class you must take. If not, still take it. The professor himself is kind and genuinely cares.
He is SUPER funny! He knows his stuff. He doesn't use power points, everything is by lecture. You could skip class but I do not recommend it. The textbook will be needed but only to study for the test other than that he doesn't assign homework from them.
Dr. Ignagni is the best professor I could ever imagine! He loves teaching and is very enthusiastic, you WILL NOT be bored ever. He will make you want to show up to class! Exams are pretty easy and notes are easy to take because he will constantly repeat important things. I beg you, take him take him take him! You will not regret it, I promise!
He's got my vote for best professor of the century! Go to class, read a little, and engage with him and you're A ready!!
Hands down the best professor i have ever taken! I highly recommend to everyone. You must attend class and take notes/read chapters to pass. The books are very easy to read and class is extremely interesting. It was a very easy A and the most i have ever learned in college. Take professor Ignagni you will not regret it.
Amazing professor with entertaining lectures! Your whole grade is based on 100 questions he asks through the semester. One 5 question quiz, one 25 question exam, one 35 question exam, and a 35 question final. Each question is 1 percent of your final grade. Most of the questions he asks are straight from lectures and his lectures have no powerpoints
Attendance is mandatory! There are three exams and one quiz and most of his questions come from his lectures so be thorough with your note taking! He is knowledgeable on the subject and breaks it down to a level you can understand while being humorous. Overall, your grade reflects your effort in this class.
Professor Ignagni is honestly so amazing. He can also tell a joke! He's hilarious!! He has 1 quiz, 5 ques/2 exams, 25 ques. & 35 ques & a final exam that's 35 ques. Total 100 ques. Your average is how ever many you get correct out of 100. It's a easy class if you take great notes and study. He's honestly the best polysci proffesor, hands down!
He keeps his lectures interesting and you MUST go to class to pass because lecture is about 75% of what you are tested on. If you want to make an A you have to do the readings. His tests are 80% easy questions and then the rest are a little more tricky. He is a great professor and you can tell he truly loves teaching.
He was an amazing teacher, and I would highly highly highly suggest taking him if you have the option. I never really read to book and barely got an A. Just really listen to his lectures which is easy I think cause they are really interesting. He is also very funny and understanding, overall great man, and great teacher!
This teacher is amazing and really cares about his students
Had him for spring 2015, amazing lectures, just show up to class every day, and copy down his word for word lectures and you will get that A. Really knows his government facts.
If you attend his class, he makes sure 80% of his 100 MCQs (which make up 100% of class grade, 1 point each) are from his lectures. His lectures are very interesting. 90 is supposed to be an A and I ended up with 85 points total but this guy gave me an A.. He made my day OMG!!!
One of the best professors ever! His lectures are super entertaining, and you can tell this man LOVES his job. He's very passionate! I didn't score too well on his first 2 exams, so I met with him at his office hours and spent an hour with his man. I scored an A after that. He gave AMAZING advice that I still use semesters later. 10/10 recommend.
Best professor in the political science department and quite possibly UTA. Took him for Judicial Process, Jurisprudence, and am signed up for Constitutional Law. He's fantastic and you won't regret it. Everyone regardless of major should take this man's classes!
Professor Ignagni is the best professor I have taken in the 3 years I have been at UTA. He is so passionate about POLS and makes you want to be passionate too. I almost considered changing my major because he made it sound so interesting. Exams are straightforward: 100 questions split between exams and depending how many right, thats your grade.
ALL exam questions are a mix of what he says in lecture and from the textbooks. Show up to class, take REALLY good notes, and read the textbook and you should be fine honestly. His grading system is a bit odd but his final exam at the end of the year is NOT comprehensive so that's good. Overall, I would definitely take him again if I could!!
The professor was great and the class was interesting, but I would not recommend his class if you have... um, a life. Between work, responsibilities, and other classes, his class was just unrealistic as far as readings go. Not to mention the process of studying and memorizing all those cases. I would take him again though just to redeem myself.
Dr. ignagni was hands down the best professor I have ever taken. he is so passionate about teaching and explains everything in such great detail that as long as you just take notes, you really should have no problem getting an A in his class
He clearly loves teaching con law, however the reading is heavy and the readings were essential to participating in class. Overall I liked him as a person but it was one of the hardest classes I've ever taken.
Everyone saying that he assigns too much reading has no business being in college. Especially being a Political Science/other liberal arts major. If you can't handle a maximum 20 pages of reading per case (and that's the high end, not the average), then you need to drop out. Dude's classes are super reasonable & fantastic. I got an A with no effort
