Kenyon is a GREAT english prof. I took him for Lit. and i hate poetry and reading- but he made it so interesting and he clearly lovessss what hes teaching- you cant help but feel the energy. Tests were take home essays- which...if you were in class- they were cake.

He is a great teacher. He knows all the stuff he teaches. One actually learns a lot with him. He has a great sense of humor.

Professor Kenyon is the best!! I have always been pretty good in English, but did not look forward to 102 after taking 101. He dispelled all those fears. I took his ENG 102 and HUM 101 after that because he was a really good teacher. If you're thinking of taking him for ENG, he's very easygoing and helpful. For HUM, he's a really, really excellent teacher and I highly recommend.

Kenyon is a great professor. His class is extremely interesting, and the man knows what he is doing. If you don't do your work on time, you may find it difficult. Professor Kenyon is a great English Professor. His class is very organized and he is always willing to help his students. He do give lots of work and lots of quizzes but as long as you stay on top of your work and study hard you will be fine. It's not easy but you will learn so much from him and he will prepare you for the next level.

Kenyon cares about his students and will go out his way to help, but don't be shy to ask for help. Its not a easy class, but he will teach u what u need to know. His grading is fear and he is a good guy overall. I wish I could take him for all my classes.

Professor Joseph Kenyon is the absolute best professor I ever had for Survey of American Literature online. He dispelled the fears I had for the online course, allowed me to read different kinds of stories for literature. The discussions I had with him in his office were engaging: the papers I turned in they were excellent to him. He's great.

A lot of note taking. Tests are open note and uploaded but not easy. In order to pass you must take good notes. Gave 3 extra points to final grade if you came to each class and you lost those three points if you missed three class, one if you missed one, etc. No textbook was used. Not too bad.

I've taken Prof Kenyon's English 102 class and I do not like English, but after taking his class I kind of enjoyed it. He made the class very interesting and I like being able to choose what I wanted to research. He was very helpful and would let us know to ask questions and not be shy to do so. I would recommend him.

He's a very funny teacher! He goofs off in a creative and knowledgeable way, and he has this funny way of talking. Class discussions are very easy and he encourages you to think. You won't need much material which is fine; most of it is online. Classmates are well engaged which means you can't want to sleep, because you don't want to miss out!

Dr. Kenyon was a really great professor, one of the best that I've had. He taught me how to use canvas because I was unaware of how to use it. Hr really reaches out to help you in any way that he could and he was really hilarious too. It's a shame that I didnt finish the semester with him, but that was my own fault. Please take him!

Kenyon does a fantastic job at trying to get students to understand the process of a research paper. If you want a professor who is very clear and is very willing to help, take him.

He makes the class interesting even when the topic is extremely boring. Gives the opportunity to let you be present while he grades your paper which is great.

Professor Kenyon is a gem. I always enjoyed every single class. We would read literature (fiction, poetry, drama) and we would interpret/discuss it in class. I learned a lot and my appreciation for literature has grew since taking his course. He assigns 4 critical response assignments that you can write any time before the final. Great prof!

Wow! This man just saved my hugest worries. He makes other professors look fake and he hilarious as well. He isn't irrelevant and he does have ENGLISH 102 online, so no backbreaking materials to use! He's very focused, kind-hearted, and serious about being a teacher, so pick him out for your class; I definitely encourage you to!

Professor Kenyon is the best. He makes writing fun, I took this class online and professor Kenyon guided me step by step through the research paper. This English 102 class is really light on assignments/homework. He is a reasonable grader, just put some effort into your paper and you'll be good. I would definitely take him again if I had to.

Going into English 102 i was nervous because of the 10 page research paper. However, Mr. Kenyon totally calmed my nerves because he was very clear about what was expected of us. He broke the research paper down into 3 parts, gave us a good amount of time to write it, and helped us with with any other concerns we had. Do your best for an easy A!

A brilliantly structured course. Took Kenyon on the recommendation of my 101 teacher, and am blessed to have had him. I took the hybrid, but wish I had been able to take the regular class. He gives insightful feedback, and is an intelligent, passionate, concise man, though very silly and funny in class. Do your work and you will learn a lot.

I took Professor Kenyon for English 101 and it was a very nice experience. Im not a good writer but Professor Kenyon makes you feel comfortable with all your essay topics. If you dedicate and do all his homeworks and assignments you can get an A easily.

This was the only class t I've had where I cared if I missed. Great personality, funny and jeopardy smart. You don't need a textbook. Gives good feedback.

As with any writing class, you will be writing a lot. Strange how this came as a surprise for so many. Professor Kenyon was very active and participated very well with all of the students in the class. Every bit of feedback was well calculated. I am undoubtedly a better writer as a result of Professor Kenyon and his course.

During this pandemic we all had to adjust and professor Kenyon helped so much. ENGL101 consists of 5 essays. We did the same thing all semester: 1)Outlines (easy) 2)draft & receive feedback 3) final draft. Class discussions on canvas too but those are no brainers. Overall if you complete assignments & put in a lil effort you'll be good.

The course was exceptionally well organized and easy to comprehend.

Cannot go wrong with this professor. Straightforward criteria, and is not petty at all with grading like most English professors are. He makes writing painless and breaks it down into easy steps so we do not get overwhelmed. I totally suggest taking him, very nice guy too, unlike most english professors who think they are God's gift to the earth.

I am currently taking professor Kenyons class now, actually pretty sad its coming to an end. Hes extremely helpful. This class to set up for YOUR success. One paper due at the end which is considered the final. He is working on that paper with you inch by inch until its time to turn it in. So theirs no way to fail unless you arent working!

Writing the research paper is always difficult, he breaks it down into a step-by-step process and guides you through each section. Really wants to help you! Talk to him if you need it! Always announces office hours, available by email. Cool guy, very chill, super caring, has a sense of humor, grading is clear and gives lots of feedback.

Kenyon makes the class work for you. He breaks it up in sections so you better understand the content. He is completely available to students with questions and concerns. Hands down best professor I've had yet.

Amazing professor. Leaves feedback after every assignment and actually does try to help you in anyway he can. Professor Kenyon emails you his office hours every week day if you ever need any help with anything. There is only one paper due in the class, but the paper is broken into different assignments which makes this class pretty easy.
