Mr. Keyes is a really great teacher, he has a sense of humor and uses it and he really allows time for questions and goes into good detail about thing. I had no interest in taking Anatomy, but he has made it enjoyable and easier to learn and understand

I really did not like him as a professor. Because of him I had to drop Anatomy. He uses an outline, that he had to continually adjust and edit. Thats not a good sign, to me. Sometimes he would go a little too fast, also. Wasn't very clear in his explanations.

Mr. Keyes taught my lab after Vickie Hennessy was injured in an accident. When my classmates and I would ask questions regarding a lab, he would respond with an "I don't know" or provide the incorrect response. This became so frustrating that I began attending other labs.

He was a good teacher. His test over chapter 3 over the cells was tough! The first chapter over the test is very easy! He has a great sense of humor and continually picks on the people who asks "what's on the test all the time?" He tries to trick you on the easy questions, but he means well! he expects you to answer all of his questions n clas

The worst teacher I have ever had by far. Because of him I almost gave up on BIO 141. The way he taught was absolutely ridiculous. I think he needs to slow down and understand that not all of us are A&P Geniuses!! Don't take him for that class. Take someone like Mrs.Ryan or Mrs.Hutchinson they're awesome.

Definately do not take. Constantly late (up to 45 minutes). Seems to have lost interest in classroom teaching. Hard to find for questions. Incredibly hard tests on specific, obscure details. Avoid at all costs.

Dr. Keyes is one of the few that will take time to help. Classes like this were never ment to be easy, its not grade school. If you ask questions about the material and show you are trying, he does help the grade. He is a great teacher even when some people ask non sence questions which he trys to answer. In labs, He feels if you studied your class work,there should be no questions or very little. No lab teacher will warn whats on the tests.

I would not recommend him at all. He is very difficult. If you do not have the 2-3 hours a night to study just for his class (which is what he recommends) then do not take him. I think he goes out of his way to make it difficult for students.

I think that this teacher is this worst in history. Why spend my money on someone who is late to EVERY class and who doesnt know how to answer his own questions. When asked to help locate certain organs, his response, find it yourself. I would strongly recommend not ever taking him. he really sucks

I really like Mr. Keyes. He makes you think! I am never bored in his class. I love his enthusiam for the subject. Study and attend lectures and you will get at least a B.

I AM JUST FINISHING MY FIRST CLASS WITH HIM AND I DO NOT LIKE IT. I FELT VERY INTIMIDATED TO ASK QUESTIONS ON MATERIAL I DID NOT UNDERSTAND IN CLASS BECAUSE OF THE WAY HE WOULD TREAT THE QUESTIONS ASKED IN CLASS.

This class requirs a lot of extra work. As long as you know his notes and look up every page number he has listed, you should do fine on the tests. This is a hard class. If you are used to easy As, don't take Keyes.

You are required to do a lot of work on your own time, and pray to God you understand it. He makes himself available 24/7 for help, however if you do need it, he just tells you to figure it out. He is ALWAYS late. I would leave the lecture wondering what is was about. He is very passionate about biology and wants you to be too. AVOID!!!

I do not like keyes as a teacher nice man not a good teacher. He suggests you record his lectures. But if you have a question he will either say play back your tape and figure it out yourself or he will answer it and you will still be lost at times. Aviod at all costs if able.

He is passionate about teaching and tries to keep the energy high in class. He is pretty difficult, but if you do what he tells you to, you should do well.This is not a memorization class. he is concerned with the students understanding the material, hes not into having us learn meaningless facts. I would love to take one of his classes again!

He knows the information so well and is very intelligent that I don't think he knows how to present it to a starting out biology class. Gets off topic on things for long periods of time that you don't have to know for the class just more information to confuse you.

I took Mr. Keyes for 141 and 142. I took each class 3 times because I couldn't get a C from him. I think that he enjoys teaching A&P but he needs to slow down and understand that not everybody understands it the way he does. I would not recommend taken him if you do not have 2 to 3 hours to study a night (like he wants you too). His class is hard.

He is a wonderful teacher.He is very animated during class-it is never boring and he doesn't move on until everyone is clear on each topic.If you miss a question on a test, but you can say "I missed that because," he will give you full or partial credit.All he asks is that you try.A&P is a difficult class,no matter who teaches it. I highly reccomen

The most obnixious, self serving, intimidating, so-called professor I have ever had. Tries to make you look like an idiot, when you ask a question, he rewords the question and ask it right back to you, and then will not give up until you get it, all the while-making you look like an #*$! Never have a clear idea on what he is actually teaching 141,1

Who does he think he is? GOD? He thinks he is. Common answer from him if you ask a question "Look in your book." Mr. Keys needs to keep is personal interest ie. the chemistry out of every chapter. He there to play the school system and needs to resign. He needs to be a little bit more professional on how he presents himself towards students.

Always helpful. People that give him a hard time are most likely failing. I got a C and learned so much. He is a scholar beyond his time, so much knowledge to be had. Take him and you WILL learn something

I would be better off teaching myself. He expects YOU to try and figure things out by yourself. I pay good money for college instructions, not to be given info and expected to understand it myself. He is nice though, in that Santa at the mall sort of way

Mr. Keyes is a awesome teacher I would recommend him to anybody. He is a teacher that really loves his job and does it well. He always make himself available for questions and really know what he is teaching he makes you think outside the box and he really try to prepare you for your career. Once again he is a great teacher

Keyes is only hard because he makes you work for your grade. There are no freebies! I worked so hard in this class and got the highest grade, almost an A. I recommend only taking him if you are serious.

He's an overall nice guy, but not a good teacher. He gets side tracked very easily during lecture, and don't cover all the material that he puts on exams. I found it more helpful to just study the book and tune him out, because to listen to him may confuse you more than anything as I've stated before his lectures get off track very easily.

This class is hard. He's been teaching this class for years, so information in lecture is spotty and vague. I think i would have learned as much from just reading the book. Don't take this class if you're not serious about learning it. You have to actually try.

Terrible!!He is a very interesting guy and he knows his stuff but the way he delivers his biology knowledge to the class is Awful!I rescheduled my biology class last quarter so me and my friend could be in the same class and help eachother, and I TOTALLY regret it!!I wish I would have taken the 7:00 PM class!His notes are terrible and confusing!!!

Exams require to much thinking for multiple choice questions. some take 5 minutes. There is no homework but if you dont' try to make senes of the class and the book each night you get overwhelmed. Very difficult class but extremely thought provoking

He is very rude,Will pick on you,especially if you don't agree with him.Should be teaching Chemistry.Don't bother going to the head of the Bio Dept., she says "He is a ten-year,and there is nothing I can do to help you. Take a different teacher next time, Sorry!". If you see Keys,RUN THE OTHER WAY, AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!!

I like this guy. So he likes himself as well... big deal. Knows his stuff and wants his students to know it well, wouldn't you want your health care provider (nurse, tech, etc) to understand the human body if they were taking care of you? Not an easy grade. You shouldn't go into healthcare if you are lazy - go work at the mall!!

few always whining-not used to having to study, work or think on their own. Only one or 2 able to get an A. I figured out half way through to quit memorizing facts; read,listened,wrote MY version & then wasnt afraid to ask/dicuss topics. Helped up my final grade to B. Best, but toughest prof ever had. Deep down he really cares -loves to teach bio.

Very Hard! He teaches in a way that you can not understand and does not go over the stuff that is on the test very well. He tells you to call him for help but is not very helpful, tells you which page you can find it on but does not explain it clearly! He does waive your grades a lot seeing as i passed his class and failed all of his test.

He is HORRIBLE!! Can not teach well at all... He teaches at a level were no one can understand him. I only passed one of his tests! I thought about dropping the class because i could not afford to get less than a C in his class because I was in the SHARE Program but when I talked to him he told me not to drop the class. I ended up with a D!

i had mr.keyes for lab and he was terrible, he spent most of the time grading papers with the exception of the last 10 min. of class. if you are going to take him for lab i would suggest taking it online instead it will save you a lot of time.

I had him about 2 years ago for BIO 142 and the 143 lab... hes ok in lab... but he does teach at a VERY high level in his lectures... i think if he would adapt the powerpoint slides to help the class follow along it would REALLY help the classes keep up and understand his ramblings... lol. I like HIM.

at first i thought this class was way too hard. he really makes you think on his test questions but if you study hard enough to where you can follow the connections he is making, the test questions actualy become obvious. this guy likes teaching this stuff but not everybody will have enough time to study what is needed. plus in a way hes hot.

I went into this class not remembering anything from high school(30 years or more), he has a true passion for science, he is difficult but fair. If you study hard and ask alot of questions you will enjoy his class. I did.

Keyes is the greatest. I called him at 11pm and he was still in his office making up a test. He cleared up everthing for me in less than a half hour and I got the 3rd highest grade. You have to study and write, then red the questions and all answers careful and think before you mark. I have learned so much that I never kmew. Helpful guy. Nice guy.

He's not kidding when he explains in his outline on how to get an A- if you record lectures, read book with HIS outline in hand and go back through the notes listening to lecture...you'll get an A. It's time consuming but as competitive as Allied Health is getting- I'd rather be the A student with fast admission than the C student waiting 2 years!

had him for lecture & lab. he took forever to teach & give the test over the first chapters. so the last chapters (and more in-depth) are being rushed! he leaves during most of lab and comes back five mintues before it's over. he is great if you like teaching yourself A&P. however, he is easier to understand than some A&P professors!

this is the third time taing this coure and keys is the first one to make sense and im wasnt lost.he definetly likes this stuff more than me. he worked with me in lab, especially with atoms and bones. my score was one of the best so far. now i get it. take keys if you want to do good

I don't know much about Mr. Keyes or his teaching, but you better have high speed internet with newest computer. I had trouble w/online test kicking me offline when explained to Mr. Keyes he was not interested, did not assist to retaking the exam even though he clearly noticed that I had studied (taking pretest 10 times)always turning work in time

Hardest teacher i have EVER had. He is incomprehensible and incredibly difficult to understand. He degrades people regularly in class and the exams are killer. I barely passed by a few points and I'm on the deans list.His outline is ridiculous and totally outdated.save yourself the money,time,and grade and take anyone other than him. Horrible. :(

Keyes is the worst teacher at Sinclair. If you want an EASY fail, take this class. He picks on people in front of everyone if you don't understand the concepts right away, or if you ask a question. He completely does not care at all of you pass his class. His tests are impossible, and i am a decent a+ b+ student! whatever you do DON'T TAKE KEYES!!!

One of the best teachers at Sinclair. He wants full attention and sometimes appears ruse but is a great guy and really cares that his students know the material. He is the reason I get A's in my science classes now. I eill take another one of his classes if I ever get a chance.

this is the hardest i've worked in any class and the most i've learned. he answered EVERY question with interest and RESPECT, unlike 2 of the students in the class.

Prof loves his work. but sometimes forgets that this is a early BIO for some or only recommended BIO for others. expects sometimes that you know your own answers. lecture notes are changed daily so printing out all of them ahead of time is a waste. tape record his lecture, but still be ready to have difficulty on tests. not taking again.

Keyes is a great teacher and I would recommend you take him if you are serious about learning. He clearly loves his job and does it well. He is always available for questions 24/7. His teaching style makes you think outside the box and prepares you for your career. Ive never had a better teacher, even at Ohio State.

Nursing Students Listen Up: Pay attention to this man....you will wish you could go back and do it over when you are along in the program! He knows his stuff, hard to follow but if you truly learn it, it will make your nsg classes easier...trust me! He is a higher level teacher, but learn it now. It will help you so much.

He is passionate about physio and each class was difft (group problm, pop qu. Hard tests not for memorizers uses alot of numbers in tests helped me for 2 hrs on phone on a sunday. I would take his class again in a heartbeat - learned a lot im ussin now!

Keyes is wonderful. He really cares about his students and goes the extra mile to help them. His class is not the easiest, but certainly not the most difficult. The only person that you're competing with is yourself. If you attend class and ask for his help, he is not that hard and is actually alot of fun.

Had him for online BIO. Worst and hardest class I've ever taken in my life. Keyes will not answer emails, doesn't explain anything...DO NOT WASTE YOU'RE MONEY OR TIME! This professor is obviously smart, but is not people-oriented, and really doesn't care if anyone passes. He should not be a teacher. Period.

LOVED this class. Keyes was a good teacher. If you paid attention and worked, you learned. I would take another A&P class from him. Tests were fair. Very book and powerpoint heavy. Lots of book learning. If you want a teacher who gives you the test answers, not the prof for you. Want one you can learn A&P from and understand, take him. Great prof!!

There might as well have not been an instructor at all for this class online because he didn't help or do anything. He didn't make any lesson plans, all he did was state the objectives for the chapters and then add a couple slide shows/activities, so it's pretty much up to you to teach yourself. Tests were really hard as well without any direction.

Was always clear about expectations and gives really thoughtful feedback, wants you to succeed. You have to put in a lot of effort, but his skills contributed greatly to my learning experience. Keyes was very observant of who was skating by & who was doing all the work (me) in group work- gave credit accordingly. Quick response time to emails.
