Dr. Lebold is a pretty odd guy, but knows geology well. His sense of humor is strange and sometimes can be arrogant. The tests were mostly from his lectures. You basically have to go to every class in order to get a decent grade because of this. Not great but not terrible either.
I am a Political Science major, and I am not really interested in Geology at all. But, Dr. Lebold does a great job of keeping me interested. I'd venture to say that Dr. Lebold is my favorite teacher this semester, and I even have 4 major-specific courses at this time. I highly recommend that if you're going to take Geology:take Dr. Lebold.
What a double standard. I every physical science teacher this way? Lackluster in the way of lectures, followed by near impossible tests.
Ahhh. Tests are impossible. He does give extra credit on attendance quizzes, but no curve on the test. When the entire class averages a D, you should probably think about a curve. Seems like a nice guy though. But ahh. ahh. ahh.
Tests are confusing :(
Joseph Lebold is probably one of the most arrogant people I have ever met in my life. He is extremely short tempered and loses his cool whenever you pack up even 30 seconds early for class. Tests were completely impossible and the second test the class average was a 64 percent. That's out of 300+ students.
Not a helpful professor. He seems unconcerned with his students doing well in his classes. He is also not open to taking questions during his class which makes it difficult to learn the required material.
This teacher was very interesting does not like talking in the class at all probably my easiest class since i have been at this college If you want a good grade just show up and take good notes from his powerpoint all of his test questions come from there.
He is a nice guy. The exams are not difficult.
Wow, arrogant and overall cocky. If you even as much whisper he will pitch a fit. His tests are nearly impossible I managed to survive solely on the quizzes. I still know no one who scored a 100 on an exam. He asks questions he never even asnwered in class. Unless your psychic, good luck.
a nice guy but horrible teacher. The test are literally impossible. the avg on the first test was a 64 and he didnt curve. I got a 4.0 first semester and an A in geol-101, and its all i can do to get an 80 in this class. Avoid this guy at all cost unless u like taking 3pages of notes every class period and impossible test!!!!
Not too hard, not to easy. I attended most classes, took notes, and studied them for the exams. I didn't study til the night before and most of my grades were high B's. With the extra credit quizzes, the class is a breeze.
I loved this teacher. If you go to class, it should be a breeze; his tests are from the lecture (I didn't buy the book for 101 or 103 and made grades in the 90's) and he gives bonus quizes that had a full %point to your final grade. The bad ratings are ridiculous- he's a super nice guy, very funny, and I thought he was cute (in a nerdy way)
GREAT TEACHER, GREAT GUY. Makes it very easy to get a B and if you actually study, read, and take notes, an A is easy as well. Signed up for his other classes because I actually learn in his class.
exams are nearly impossible. those exams are seriously so hard. class is boring and not interesting so you end up not wanting to go to class. all i've got to say is go to class because the extra credit quizzes he gives randomly save you from completely failing.
Bad teaching bad tests.surprisingly thinks that if we take this class as a joke well be saying and I quote " would u like fries with that"
I don't understand all these bad reviews. This class is easy if you just semi try. Attendance isn't required, but he does give extra credit quizzes occasionally, which if you go to class are not all that important. I go to class pretty much every time, never opened my book and just study for about an hour before the test and i've made all low A's.
Lebold gives decent lectures, but the tests are no reflection of the lectures. Tests draw on information not relevant to subject, but rather if you were paying attention in class.
Great professor, absolutely loves geology and knows what he is talking about. He is very passionate about his work. His tests are hard but he gives the study guide in plent of time to get a good grade. I never missed a class and I had a b+ as my final grade. Gives ten quizzes each worth an extra point onto your final grade. Great class and I highly recommend him.
I have had the pleasure of having Dr. Joe for both geol 101 & 103. After every test I go to his office to look over the questions I missed and he's always willing to help. He definately wants his students to succeed but you have to be willin to put in the effort. If you're doing bad than talk to him, see what it is you're not understanding go over all your notes and read. He does give ten extra point to your final grade which is great, but you have to go to class to earn them. Amazing professor!
GO TO CLASS!!! He gives extra credit quizes at random and they are VERY easy. His tests really let you know how well you paid attention but if you take good notes and review the slides, you will do just fine. Turn off your cell phone or he WILL make you feel like the idiot you are. Have fun! I know I did. GREAT teacher.
One of my favorites so far!
This class stinks! He rambles and nothing from the book is on the test. He needs you listening to every word coming out of his mouth in order for you get a good grade on test.
Use of iClicker questions at the beginning of lectures. (Bonus points). Most material covered on exams are generally from his lecture. If you don't put effort in his course, you will fail. Read the reading the night before the lecture or you will get lost. His lectures are fairly easy to understand. Expect pop quizzes for bonus points.
By far, the WORST professor I've had thus far. The tests are mainly lectures. He gets side tracked in his lectures a lot by little stories; sometimes this makes his lectures hard to follow. I found that he wasn't always avaliable during office hours and that when you asked him a question to help you, he was awful at answering.
Does his best with the material he's teaching. Very aware that a lot of the subjects covered in the book can be boring to a lot of people and goes through the effort of making it semi-interesting or funny. He gives extra credit, study guides, and is extremely helpful and patient. While I hated the course materials, he made the class enjoyable!
I honestly can not decipher whether he's a bad teacher or the fact geology is probably one of the worst subjects to take in college. He's a nice guy... occasionally, and I mean occasionally funny. But nevertheless, the class is impossible to pass and keep with up with. If anything: DON'T TAKE GEOLOGY AT ALL.
Dr. Lebold is one of the most intelligent professors I've had. His class is very hard, yes, but he gives students a LOT of oppurtunities to boost theirs grades (iclicker points and quizzes). In addition to this, he puts up his slides online and makes a very detailed study guide before the exam. This class gave me a ton of knowledge on geology!
Dr. Lebold is by far the best professor I have had so far. He inspired me to pursue a minor in geology. Yes, his exams are very difficult, but it is the students who don't attend class or do the required reading who end up failing. I failed my first exam with a 30 and with all the extra credit still received a B, but put in the work!
Great teacher makes the material interesting. Don't have to read the required text. Just have to pay attention in class and you will only have to study for like 15 minutes. Many test concepts are clicker questions
I am a solid B student and i found this class to be extremely challenging. Lebolds clicker questions and quizzes are my only hope for this class. His exams… don't even go there.
this was definitely not an easy class. he knows what he is talking about and tries to engage the class so its not too bad to go to. his exams are NOTHING like his study guide. i definitely wouldnt recommend this professor he is hard.
LeBold is super easy, if you go to class he gives extra credit in the form of clicker questions. He tries to push his environmentalist belief on the class a little too hard though
Dr. Joe is a very smart guy and a great professor. He knows his stuff and always tries to make the material as interesting as possible. Plus he plays Red Hot Chili Peppers sometimes before class starts.
Dr. joe class is fun and you learn a lot. go to class so you dont miss the clicker questions and quizes (20% of grade). the test are very hard but if you study you should be able to pass. i would take this teacher.
Will pitch a fit if he hears whispering in the background during lecture. The clicker questions will really help your grade should you choose to participate. GO TO CLASS! Brilliant teacher, kind of a pompous personality.
He knew what he was talking about but when it came to teaching I think going to the class was useless. There were only four exams all semester and that was your grade. You're expected to read a couple hundred pages before each test and the questions are randomized. Not many people could do good on the exams therefore the curve was huge.. Ex: 57%=C
Tests weren't easy, but go to class, pay attention and do the quizzes, answer the clickers, read the book, and a B is easy. Sometimes even grades the tests on curves. Good overall professor.
Best professor on campus
Dr. Joe is extremely nice and helpful. However his tests are hard and this is not an easy GEC where you show up to pass. You MUST study for him or you will get a C. You can't fail the class but hard to get an A. An 80% is an A also.
Professor Lebold is easily the coolest professor here. Go to the lectures. They're interesting and you get extra credit.
Amazing teacher. Makes everything easy to understand by using lots of visuals. Tests are hard but come to class and take good notes you should be good to go
HIs class was always entertaining, and I have a newfound love for rocks now. The tests were kind of difficult, but nothing was on it that he didn't cover in class. There were always visuals, and sometimes even songs to represent the material.
Dr Lebold has been one of my favorite professors so far. All you have to do is go to class and pay attention. Tests are hard but you will end up getting like 10% extra credit for good atendence.
Dr. Lebold is an amazing professor. His class is not easy; you must work for a good grade. But, he posts What To Know lists for each test which are like study guides that follow the textbook (so yes, it is advisable to read before each class). DO THESE! They are a life (and grade) saver. Go to class because he gives pop quizzes and clicker points.
Dr. Lebold is a very good teacher of a very boring subject for non science majors. Gives out generous clicker points. Tests are moderately hard but manageable if you study. Gives out "what to know" lists and puts up lecture slides, which form the basis of the tests. Can get away without the textbook but it does help a lot. Interesting guy.
Dr. Joe is an awesome prof. he makes an uninteresting subject enjoyable and engaging. people who say the test are hard simply didn't study. His lectures are very organized and easy to follow. I look forward to this class.
Great guy, makes a boring subject interesting, skip class you won't pass
Makes lectures enjoyable. Gives clicker points that can increase your grade up to 10%. Go to class, take good notes, and tests are cake. Really nice guy, always available if need help, great guy.
The lectures are clear and easy to understand, but the material covered in them are not on the test. If you are doing bad on the tests, make sure to show up to class for extra credit clicker points.
I took Geology 101 as a GEC my freshman year, and I absolutely loved it. The tests aren't too terribly hard if you come to class. He does extra credit clicker questions at the beginning and end of each class, which really help. About two quizzes a month, and they are extremely easy.
Dr. Joe is the man. Never had much knowledge to geology prior to this course but he really opened my eyes to it. The exams are easy if you study.. unlike most of the kids in my class. If you go to class he gives out a bunch of clicker points and they're very beneficial to your final grade. Would definitely recommend him.
Good teacher if you want to learn Geology , but if you looking for good grades without hard work, Don't take him
Dr. Joe has by far been the best prof I've had in my two years at WVU. You can actually understand what he is saying, unlike many other profs at the school. He's passionate about geology Read the pages when he asks you to and you'll get an A. Read them while cramming for a test and you'll get a B. All in all, a guy I'd like to drink a beer with.
Lectures are interesting, but questions on tests and quizzes require paying constant attention and taking notes religiously. Questions are based on very specific stories told in lecture. This professor will not provide study guides.
Great guy and loves geology. Go to class and get the clicker points they help your grade a lot. Make a study guide from the what to know points at the end of the chapter and review the slides and you'll get a good grade on the test.
Dr. Joe is a fantastic teacher. You will do just fine if you go to class and take some notes. Because of extra credit and easy quizzes/tests, you'd have to be brain-dead to get anything less than an A.
Dr. Joe is easily one of the best professors I've had. I'm not a rock connoisseur by any means, nor do I plan to pursue geology further than this class, but Dr. Joe made me want to be there. He's kindhearted, funny, and extremely intelligent. People say this class is "hard," but if you have half a brain and pay attention, it's a very easy A.
lebold lectures all class but does his best with videos and stopping to just talk in class to keep your attention. overall you need to go to class and study the readings
Very uncaring. I was in the hospital a fair amount of time during the semester and as much as I asked he wasn't willing to help with notes even when presented dr excuses. Tests have obscure questions on them which aren't on slides and he's a tough grader. been easier if I could have gone to class, but this was impossible & he wasn't understanding
Dr. Lebold's Geology 101 Class is a little tougher than you expect. The exams are pretty tough, there is no study guides in this class. If you go to every class and get the clicker questions RIGHT it will help your grade so much. Also there are quizzes every Friday which is 20% of your grade so do NOT plan on missing any Fridays.
Dr. Joe is easily the best teacher I had during my 4 years at WVU. If you have the chance you SHOULD take Geology of West Virginia. There are multiple required trips during the course that are actually super fun! -AC
Great teacher, very passionate about geology. Makes his lectures enjoyable. Just attend class and you'll be fine. You can miss a lecture here and there so long as you get the notes, and everything he teaches can be found in the books.
As I am typing this, hes having a meltdown over someone in this lecture playing music through their headphones. There is around 300 people in here and he's making his rounds trying to find them. I hear nothing. This dude has an awful temper, and literally flips out when he hears someone move a paper. He has cool videos though so I guess it's cool.
He really enjoys Geology. Had I been more interested in the subject, maybe I'd have done better, however, his exams are super difficult. It is hard to stay focused during his lectures, and the exams are based on what he says during the lectures and they're not written on the slides. You have to read the book. I couldn't take this class again.
Very lectre heavy. His slides do not help at all, they are usually just pictures. You have to listen to every single word he says to understand things. The only points you get are from exams, weekly quizzes and clickers are extra credit. He acts like a child. If anyone makes a peep he will stop his whole lecture and yell at the class (100+ people.)
Dr. Joe is one of the best teachers at WVU. He cares immensely and his passion for geology is unquestionable. He demands you actually learn something to get a good grade. His tests are easy if you attend class regularly. It upsets me to see negative reviews about Dr. Joe. If you want to learn and actually care, Dr. Joe is about the best prof around
Read the required readings, do the clicker points and get them right! (some can be found on quizlet or studyblue) Lecture slides do not help at all. Take/study notes based off what he says not what is on the powerpoint. pop quizzes usually on Fridays!
Dr. Joe is an amazing proffesor. He was easily one of my favorites freshman year. As long as you read, show up, and do decent on the tests you will have no problem at all passing his class.
Joe Lebold is by far one of the best professors I've had at WVU. The class isn't really hard, you just need to study. The material isn't too difficult to understand either, as long as you study, you'll get an A. What he goes over is whats on the test, and although attendance isn't mandatory, still go to class for the extra credit it's worth it!
This class is not for the lazy person and chances are, those who dont do well or received bad grades are just lazy. Reading is required but is beneficial to class participation. Hes approachable but doesnt let you walk all over him. He takes iClicker questions everyday and these are used for extra credit and attendance points.
I had straight As for the whole semester, yet, I got a D in this class. On the very first day of lecture, the guy begins by telling the class he has the highest failure rate out of the entire Geology department! The material on the exams is confusing and there is no study guide to help. Unless you are Geo major, don't risk it with this guy.
Not very helpful. I went to office hours several times, no much help. I requested a tutor for 2 months before I finally dropped the class. WVU Geology Tutoring is also a joke since they never hired a Geology tutor.
The class was extremely hard in my opinion. His lectures are sometimes hard to follow, and the exams were very hard. The only chance you have of passing is by reading the book and teaching yourself. I usually get As and Bs, but for this class I received a D. Would not recommend taking him at all.
The professor is amazing! The class is not hard, you just need to go to each class and read the material.
Not enough chances to raise grade other than exams, goes off on unrelated tangents, doesn't care about students actually learning.
He is boring, annoying, and lacks energy! His lectures barely cover anything that is on the quizzes or exams. He is teaching extremely obscure facts rather than the basics of the science. I definitely wouldn't take his course. Find a different section!
He uses the course to push his textbook. There is no learning taking place in this course. His field trip is a joke! It is merely an opportunity for students to go drink; there are not assignments. There are few challenging assignments in the course that would help students learn about geology. It is such a poor course and he is a poor educator.
I started at WVU as a geology major and after taking his course, I decided to switch majors. If the rest of the department is as bad as Dr. Joe, I don't want to be anywhere near this major! His exams cover none of the basic material that he talks about in lecture. Lecture time is just an opportunity for him to talk about himself and his new book.
As long as you go to class and study notes the night before the exam you'll pass. He is super passionate and makes his lectures as interesting as possible for the subject. Gives a lot of bonus points for clicker use.
The class is easy, but the guy is a jerk. He barely teaches anything. The reason he makes students read the book is because he cannot teach. One of the worst instructors I've had in college.
The class is not interesting or engaging. His lecture are dry and he gets easily upset over the smallest things. Exams do not cover what is discussed in class. He relies on the textbook far too much. Not exactly sure how this guy became a prof, but someone should review his teaching and really evaluate his job.
Super nice guy and the lectures are simple-just do the reading the night before and youll get the points. All you do is take notes and answer extra credit clicker questions from the reading. Tests are easy if you devote to studying.
Hes extremely knowledgeable and shows his passion for geology in his tone. Although the class is VERY lecture heavy, its easy to stay focused. Test are 80% of your grade so study hard for the exams by reviewing lecture slides. Weekly quizzes. Must read book if you want extra credit on clicker questions he puts up before class.
Hes the epitome of dad jokes. Yes, his tests are difficult, but he offers clicker questions every class for EC and gives 5 point quizzes every Friday at the end of class with easy easy questions. You shouldnt get below a C+ in the class and that is if you bomb the test.
He goes over everything from the assigned readings in his lectures. The only real reasons to read the chapters are to answer the bonus clicker questions or if you learn better through reading. Overall, Dr. Joe is a fantastic professor who cares about his students and is passionate about his work!
The only thing wrong with Lebold in GEOL 200 is that since you've completed the intro geology sequence already, he glosses over a lot of stuff and lectures are mostly barebones. That being said, he is really helpful in class and most classes are spent doing labs. The exams are very difficult though. There was a curve with the final grades.
Truthfully a great professor who cares deeply about the subject he teaches. That isnt always easy to find. He really does know his stuff and explains things in such a way thats easy to understand. I highly recommend Dr Joe.
I really enjoyed Dr. Lebold's enthusiasm in class. He really showed that he actually enjoyed teaching the class and had a love for the subject. He made class every entertaining with how excited he was to talk about his favorite subject.
This class is amazing. The lectures are posted after class so if you are confused you can always check back. There is a lot of extra credit opportunities given. I didn't use a book for the class, missed a good amount of lectures and still got an A in the class. Definitely an AMAZING professor and would recommend. Exams are not in lockdown.
I LOVED Dr. Joe's class! His lectures were amazing even in an online format, you can tell he is passionate about teaching this subject! The assignments are straightforward, and you learn more in the class than just about rocks & minerals. I wish more professors could teach like him, he taught in a way that was fun & easy to understand!
Love him! He made geology interesting! Lots of bonus point opportunities so do the reading required!
This class isn't too bad, the tests are hard because they have nothing to do with the slides it's more like your taking a quiz on fun facts of West Virginia. He was nice and a pretty good teacher, the tests are hard though.
I absolutely loved this class. As long as you take notes on the lecture you will easily pass the class. Even if you think you won't be interested, he makes it interesting. Easily my favorite class to go to. Easy tests and easy quizzes. 10/10 would take again
You need to remember every word he says and the exact way he says it otherwise he will mark you wrong on tests, even if you are actually right. This class requires a book that HE WROTE, prepare to memorize it cover to cover. The class doesnt teach anything worth while, its all WV trivia. Dont take it if you want to learn. Not a good Prof either.
His tests are heavily based on lecture, not whats in the power-points, so make sure youre taking good notes. Attendance doesnt really matter, but he does do clicker questions at the beginning of each class for extra credit.
Loved Dr. Lebold! Great Professor! Lectures are always very interesting and he keeps it interesting!
You can really tell Dr. Joe loves what he talks about in his lectures. Great to meet at office hours. However, either pay attention to lectures or read over lectures after because tests are solely on lectures. Great class, made talking about rocks for a hour 3 times a well fun.
Dr. Lebold is very passionate about geology. My only complaint is he rambles on a lot. Otherwise, this class is very easy if you attend lectures and pay attention. Exams are a little difficult, especially as the semester progresses.
Dr. Joe is a very chill prof. He gives out extra credit every lecture and with that is always enthusiastic during lectures. If you show up, get the clicker questions youll pass no problem.
Super funny guy and its very clear he loves teaching the subject. Tests and quizzes are all done out of class and are open note, no lockdown browser. Extra credit every class through clicker questions. Definitely an easy class to take to fulfill a GEF science credit. Can skip a ton of lectures and still get an A, attendance not mandatory.
Dr. Joe is a great guy, very approachable. What he lectures on is exactly what he will test you on. If you skim the reading before the lecture and pay attention in class, this should be an easy A. Grades heavily based on online tests and quizzes (taken out of class and without a lockdown browser) and extra credit is offered every class.
This class was incredibly easy. But, his lectures helped even more. You could tell he is passionate about his field. The slideshows were fun and attention-grabbing.
you can really tell that he loves what he does. is very passionate about west virginia and appalachia history relating to geology. gets very side-tracked, but overall would definitely take again.
Nice guy, fun lectures. The only assignments are quizes and exams (plus extra credit iClicker questions). I never opened the textbook and I skipped 10+ classes and I got an A. As long as you try just slightly you'll be fine.
Nice guy, you can tell he really cares about what he teaches. However, he was super enthusiastic, kind of spastic. Do not sit in the front if youre not gonna try, he calls people out a lot. He was a bit too enthusastic for me personally. I barely attended and got a B, just do well on the tests. If he hears anybody talking he gets very triggered.
Dr. Joseph is a sweet guy and he puts effort into his lectures, but personally wasn't a fan of everything else about the class, did not like that my grade revolves around exams and quizzes, specially that no exceptions, if you miss an exam/quiz, that'll be a zero, but the final counts as a make up exam and is optional to replace the lowest grade
Dr. Joe is very enthusiastic and clearly cares about the material. Your grade depends solely on quizzes and tests, but neither are that hard. Also, if you show up to class, he does clicker questions at the beginning and end where you can rack up multiple percentage points worth of extra credit.
Professor Lebold does well at giving all information needed during his lectures. If you attend the lectures and pay attention you will get a high A easily. Showing up to class is not mandatory, but if you do you have chance at extra credit too. If you cannot attend a lecture, the information will be posted online which is similar to lecture.
I love this man! Attendance is not mandatory, but he offers extra credit in class. His lectures are super helpful and relevant to all of the tests, and he seems like he really likes his job. If you pay attention to him, you honestly won't even really have to study for the tests. Totally recommend this class.
Mr. Lebold's class was an easy one to take. He is very enthusiastic about what he is teaching, which makes it easier to pay attention. He gives daily readings, but honestly you could get by without the textbook. The attendance doesn't necessarily matter, but he does do extra credit clicker questions at the beginning and end of class for points.
Dr. Lebold is one of the best professors I have ever had. He is super caring and loves teaching. His lectures are super interesting and always relevant to coursework. All test and quiz questions are topics covered in lecture. The course is very easy as long as you do well on assessments, which is the entire course grade. Definitely take Dr. Lebold.
He was a good teacher but the class is only graded on quizzes and tests. He also does required readings for extra credit that take up a lot of time but you could guess and be just fine.
One of the best professors I've ever had. I also took GEOL 200, though it's not being taught here anymore. Some of the material can be difficult, but he gives you everything you need to succeed. A really genuine guy, who really cares about his students and his subject. I can't recommend him enough.
I really liked this professor. I had him for geology 101. He is super nice and gives great lectures. His lectures are detailed and interesting. Explains in an easy and understanding way. There is a textbook and he does require readings and does clicker questions that can be very beneficial.
He doesn't let us read ahead. He has all the required readings locked until the last minute. He makes us take online exams during the block of class time. We're still at home so there's no anti-cheating measures, just a pain in the ass for students. He can't use email. He has us use God awful eCampus messaging because he can't sort his email.
This professor is always so lively and clearly educated on his criteria, he always has a fun lecture, and keeps a great attitude throughout the class. He wants everyone to pass and do well, and makes the experience fun while teaching. Takes Iclicker points, and all online quizzes are through ecampus, and short. Will take him again if I can.
Fun professor. Very engaging and its an easy class.
Professor Lebold's class isn't hard, it's just very inconvenient. He has boring lectures all class long; and to pass the quizzes and tests, you have to pay attention. You will not pass the class if you skip.
Boring lectures that are needed to take the tests and quizzes, basically only teaches off of the slides and doesn't add much to them.
Attendance is taken through IClicker, so you have to go or else your grade does change. Test and homework is easy for the most part, but he reads off the slides and does not add more to them. A very boring lecture, but an easy A class.
While very nice and understanding, the way he posts tests and quizzes is not clear and many students end up taking a zero on the assignments.
Professor Lebold is super passionate and makes the material engaging. Assessments are open-note and you can earn easy extra credit. Unstuckstudy is a great study tool alongside the free textbook. Definitely an easy A if you put in the work.
Complete Trash
Dr. Lebold is a great example of a professor who has deep knowledge of and interest in the material he teaches. He clearly wants to share his passion with students. Constantly makes connections between the lecture material and happenings in the real world. Assignments are open note. You'll get an A if you attend. I can't understand the bad reviews.
I had a terrible experience in this class. For a 200-level course, it was extremely difficult. Exams were mostly short-answer with no study guides, and vague slides made studying hard. Exam HEAVY. The lab was disorganized, with unclear assignments. Unless you're a Geology or Sustainable Earth major, I suggest taking this course with someone else.
Professor Lebold is a good professor. He really cares about his students and the subject he teaches. His lectures aren't boring—they're very immersive. The class is also fairly easy.
he's honestly so chill this was an easy class you just need to go to class as iclicker counts towards your grade like a lotttt
Most of the grade depends on iClicker participation. His voice is very grating. He really likes to go over his class time, and yells at students when they stand up to leave at the designated time. Everything is online, including exams, so it is very easy to pass if you do the clicker questions.
Dude went on a tangent about compassion and how we as students should have compassion towards these coal miners but, when my cousins died a week into starting school he didn't have enough COMPASSION to let me take the test when I had to leave to go to Chicago for the funeral. He is a self entitled and thinks he's gods gift to rocks.
Lebold is a great professor who is very passionate about what he teaches. However, he tends to be very unapproachable. He comes off passive-aggressive and will yell at students for whispering. The lectures are not very engaging, and it's very easy to zone out. If the class were smaller, I think I would enjoy his class more.
