Lin is very enthusiastic. He almost makes you like biology! He's the type to give examples galore! He's your cool, asian, know it all professor. His powerpoints are on blackboard so thats a help. However his tests are extremely difficult(Hardest I've had) because they insist you imply the knowledge.(Which is what I would want my doctor to do.)

I feel that Biol 22 is a hard class and is a foundation for my nursing career, so it is good that he makes the exams difficult and tough. I do think he has high standards because he teaches at Fresno State and gives the same training to his students. Make sure to read the text book and follow the power-points during the semesters.

Lin gives decent and good lectures, but as soon as it comes to the exams, he goes to a whole different level. It is a hard class and if you don't have a good background in chemistry this class will be tough. Also he claims to curve the grades, but sometimes it does not turn out the way it should. Nonetheless, it is a hard class and he is good.

Lin-sanity! Hands down the best teacher I've had at Reedley college! He tells you how to pass the class but it's up to you to put in the work. Very little hw do it ALL for easy points. With little hw use that extra time to study and go over content you do that and you're good!

Lin makes his lectures alot and talks alittle fast but there is so much content which is understandable. He gives you examples to be able to relate to the real-world so that you can apple the contents. There are alot of reading assignments and extra credit so he gives you the tools to succeed.

Nice guy. Easy to talk to. Labs were easy. He lets you go as soon as you're done with the lab worksheet. There are quizes every class meeting so attendance is important. But either way he lets you make up some of the quizes at the end of the semester.

Grades are determined on point system. You don't need to pass exams to pass class. Quizzes are done in groups makes it easier to get a 10 out of 10 which helps your total grade. Exams are extremely hard, must take good notes and rewatch all posted lectures. Lectures are posted so you can rewatch them.

The lab has a lot of work which is only 1 unit course which I did not like. Lin is easy-going, hilarious, and respectful. I do not think he is tough as long you put the work in you should be fine.

This course has a complicated structure so you'll need some time in the beginning of your semester to find your groove. Your effort in this class will definitely reflect your grade.

He is an AMAZING teacher. Physiology is already an incredible heavy loaded class and he makes it so that you are learning the material but dont feel like youre drowning in work. He is always accessible and willing to help you because he cares. If you put in the time and work to study you will pass this class.

Instructor Lin was great! Class was online and asynchronous due to the ongoing global pandemic he had zoom class check-ins once a week one at 12 one at 6pm can join of of the two (not mandatory to attend). Your grade primarily depends on your Exams, TRATs and IRATS. I wish I would have taken more time on my IRATS to get an A. Over all satisfied.

Professor Lin is very caring and he is flexible to work with. If you need an extension to a homework assignment or test he will give it to you. All homework assignments were on McGraw Hill and they were always due on Sunday. They were easy to complete but could be time-consuming. Definitely would recommend him for this course!

Lin was a great professor. He was flexible & understanding & explained things thoroughly. The only thing that I feel was difficult, was that he assigned several assignments on test weeks. Sometimes 7+ assignments & it was really rough to be able to focus on the exam for that week and do lots of work. This class is a lot of work but a great course.

Overall Lin is a cool dude and reasonable person. His energy for the class was there and the best part was that he was always available outside of class. As soon as we started the semester he gave everyone access to his discord. which made him available almost instantly . Yes the class material was heavy but that's Physiology

Mr. Lin is a very enthusiastic person. Took his bio 22 class as a hybrid and it was kinda hard. I prefer lecture in person. Is so awesome & understanding when you ask to extend due dates on hw!! Very clear on what needs to be done. Just talks a tad bit fast for me when watching recorded lecture. I wish he gave out study guides for 100Q exams.

Overall this being an online class, everything was very well put together in chronological order easy to work ahead or work at pace with the rest of the class. Professor not only applied what he new to the class but additionally provided insight as to where the information would be useful according to our specific career goals.

This Professor is awesome.

He is very easy going and will crack a few jokes every now and then to get class started each day. Very kind and caring, will extend assignments no questioned asks, this also includes exams not just homework of quizzes. Overall, he teaches well and will answer any questions you may have, even if they are repeated or simple questions.

Class was hybrid, mostly online and had to attend lab once a week in person with a different professor. Labs are mainly online too. Very do able class, all homework is due online. Exams are online and proctored, no webcams. 4 exams and a final. Joseph was very lenient with extending due dates if asked. Would definitely take him again! do it!

His course is based on a website , lots of labs , lots of quizzes , and lots of exams . Final was based on the last chapters not accumulated. To maintain a good grade was easy will be taking him again !

Asynchronous course. Would be nice to know Mr. Lin's style during an in-person, regular semester, class. He was fair, quick to communicate, and flexible. Knowledgeable in the content.

I recommend the hybrid class. It was very easy to follow along with lab and online lectures. The quizzes are good and from the book. The tests are a lot harder and written differently from the quiz questions. There are discussions due at the end of class that really help with needed points for your grade.

He's an amazing teacher! Took three different classes with him and he's by far the best biology teacher I've had. As a student completing pre-reqs for nursing, I'd definitely recommend taking his class, specially his labs. Just make sure you get your work done before the due date

Took Professor Lin for hybrid Human Physiology class and I'm glad I did. Human Physiology is not an easy class but Lin provides lots of content/modules to help you understand the material. There is a lot of hw required but that's expected to help you truly understand the material especially for us nursing majors.10/10 recommend!

Professor Lin is one of the best professors I've ever had. Not only is he a great resource as he is very knowledgable about careers in STEM, he also made physiology very fun. His lectures are amazing and a majority of the coursework (including tests) are online. I would take his class again if I could and HIGHLY recommend him!

At the beginning of the semester, I was scared of this course because I had heard it was super hard, but Professor J. Lin made this class easy. Most of the work is done online, but he goes over everything to ensure you understand the material. Lab exams are image-based (Supper easy), and lecture exams are online Based on the book (not so easy).

Dr. Lin was a very nice and understanding teacher. Attendance was not mandatory besides the end of the year case study. Every lab that was done in person was counted as extra credit to incentivize coming into class.

I had such an amazing experience with his Human Anatomy course. The work is clear, there are resources available to study effectively, and there's extra credit opportunities every week in forms of drawings related to the current weekly topics. There really is no reason to be failing this class. Yes, it's challenging for some but very manageable.
