Professor Lozada was great. It was a writing intensive class, a lot of work but that is to be expected. Weekly discussion boards & you must be active. His papers seemed like a lot of work, but he is pretty straightforward with what he wants and is a fair grader in that sense. He gives you great feedback, and really does help improve writing skills.

While he seems really nice he over explains the simplest things making everything a lot harder than it has to be. He is not concise. Some students might prefer his long drawn out explanations but I find that actual assignments get lost in the amount of instructions he gives. He is not to the point at all and as an online class i wouldn't recommend.

I can see he is passionate and he can be a very good professor. The only way this online class will work is if you aren't taking any other online class. There are 4 quizzes and each quiz is about 55 questions each WHICH I BELIEVE IS RIDICULOUS. His lectures are long. If is for Sociology elective credit there are so many other classes worth taking.

I did enjoy this class. Yes, he gives a lot of instructions, but I thought it was helpful rather than distracting. COMPLETELY UNCLEAR with instructions and long winded for no reason. Explanations for simple things like an assignment are 11 pages. 11! Writes like he's trying to meet a word count for an essay. Also, for a 200 level class not worth the aggravation. If you need this class, take it with someone else. All quizzes are 75 questions, 3 papers, DB posts

It's an online class so yes, there's a lot of readings/quizzes to take place of in-person class. He's only specific on what he wants because he cares. It's manageable but you def have to work.

Second time have prof. Lozada. Liked how organized and detailed the course is. He sometimes over explains (but I guess it's for others) but it does make it very predictable making it easy to follow (well at least for me). I recommend using the PowerPoints as this helped me keep organized.
