different type of professor from others that I had ... cares about his students ... must work hard for your grade ... can't just show up & do nothing ... again, hard, but liked it at same time
Amazing class, amazing professor. Try your best to keep up with the reading or you will find yourself falling behind. Instructions are very clear, just pay attention and do the work then you'll be fine.
great teacher and great policing class! if you're interested in becoming NYPD this is the class for you. You will learn alot and be prepared to work! All the work will be worth it, do not let the syllabus he gives scare you. Anyone can definitley pull off an A
Overall a great profesor, is very descriptive on the assignements given.
This class is very good for someone who ready to keep up with the work. Being that it is an online class you cannot lose focus or you will end up behind. The Professor is a good teacher who gives great details that makes you a better student. He actually reads your work and gives feed back.
This class was very helpful even though he makes you work for everything. He is a tough grader. You have to make sure you give his class enough time and his work enough time to do what he expects of you
Great guy
Professor Lozada's professional abilities to convey with his students and enthusiastically capturing his students attention. His effective feedback and criticism regarding class lectures and assignments. His passion for for the course is evident, although it's a hybrid course is definely a course I would recommend.
I was nervous at first because the lengthy syllabus was unexpected, however, I appreciate the attention to detail and structure. From start to finish he gives you step by step instruction on how to be successful in this class.
Professor Lozada is elite in his profession, his grading criteria is very clear and he is always on time with the syllabus. I highly recommend anyone at LaGuardia college or anyone that will be attending LaGuardia and plans on studying criminal justice to take professor Lozada as hisher professor for the policing course.
This professor is by far one of the best I've had on campus. His attention to detail and round the clock help was truly appreciated! His tests were very fair. Just make sure to read the WHOLE textbook. He was funny, to the point, and really showed how much he loves what he teaches. If you are reading this professor and I know you are, thank you!
The professor is very helpful and his lectures are very interesting. If you read the textbook and do all the required work then it will be easy to pass. I learned a lot from Professor Lozada and this course. I really recommend this professor!
Provides syllabus and instructions with great detail, his lectures are interesting, creativity is involved in this course for which it was a hybrid course, and he shows he's there to assists all his students.
I took him for SSJ101 and retook him again for Criminology course because I liked him method of teaching. He makes you be independent student and work yourself for your own grade and support yourself with constant work. Good and short lectures in class and to very vivid point of the concept to be learned during the class course.
I have to be honest. It was not an easy class, but you will learn a lot. We really use the text book, you have to read it, to be able to well on tests. Great professor, I highly recommended him. Good Luck!!!
He makes understand the lecture clear. The DQ felt it was helpful to me because it let me express what i have learn to.
This is my second time taking a course with Mr. Lozada he is one of the best teachers at LAGCC. He is understanding and fair, his intention is for everyone to pass.
It's my first time take this professor but i really enjoyed his class, he was helpful when I needed him. I would take up another class with him and for anyone thinking about taking up his class, get ready to pay attention otherwise you would really get lost in the work. but overall he is a very good professor.
He's very nice, and helpful.
Great teacher, very helpful.
Overall Mr. Lozada is a great professor. He is clear and always offer his help when a student require it. I enjoyed his class allot because he has helped me improve my writing and also I have learned allot in his policing class. I took his Hybrid class and for me it was pretty easy since I was willing to do the work. Great experience.
He's an amazing professor and he really knows what he is teaching. Not one of those straight from the book professors. I would definitely take another course if he was teaching it.
In all, I enjoyed the hybrid class with professor Lozada. Each assignment prepared us for the next challenging assignment he gave the following week. His class is far from easy, but if you study or have the time to study the class will be a breeze. The online assignments are straight forward and if you need help he's there online.
This is a hybrid course so naturally it is more on you to make sure all assignments are complete. It helps you only meet once a week so you have more time to get all work done. You really have to put effort into the discussion boards (writing assignments) if you want that A. Overall Prof. Lozada is extremely helpful if you need clarity.
Professor Lozada really makes you work for your grade. He is not a tough grader however, and very understanding. Gives extra points when needed. At first glance the Hybrid class online seems overwhelming but, overall pretty easy and organized. Be prepared to respond to peers. The quiz and test were a bit challenging, so STUDY STUDY STUDY !
assignments are clear cut and to the point.
This professor helps you in each and every way possible.
Great professor took him twice. Ssj101 and policing.
Definitely make sure you do all the reading its necessary for the course because if you fall behind just a little youll drown making it up. Due to the fact its a fast pace class and definitely demands discipline.
Prof. Lozada does not teach an easy class, he definitely makes you earn your grade. He is very thorough in explaining the assignments, and gives students good feedback throughout the course. If you're looking for an easy Policing class, look elsewhere. However, if you want a professor who will challenge you, then take Prof. Lozada's class.
Very good professor. Would teach you the roots of policing. As long as you follow his instructions you will pass the course.
For starters, this is the extra credit. This class is essential for those who want to become police officers. He is a former police officer and uses textbook examples and real life examples to teach. I highly recommend this professor. Plus, its online, and he is very specific with every homework.
One thing i appreciated about Professor Lozada was his clarity. This was a Hybrid class, so even though we met on campus for lectures, most of our assignments were online and to be turned in online. He was very clear in what he wanted and made sure he explained what he expected of us in weekly announcements. Do your work & you will pass.
Read the book and the course will not be hard. Professor is very knowledgeable in what he is teaching.
The professor is great. You have any question? he's there for you. If you want an A you'll have to work it.
This is a good professor. He makes you work for your grade but as long as you read the required assignments your good. If you have questions he will help you.
He's a great professor. You have to work for your grade but you read the required information it's ok
professor Lozada is really good with explaining what he wants done as well as helping you feel confortable with the course. This was my first hybrid course and over all I think that it was a good experiance and if he was to teach any other ssj course I would like to take it with him.
Proff. Lozada is a instructor that knows his material and keeps you interested in the topic.
Prof Lozada is a great professor. He is fair and treats his students as adults. He makes sure you have all the required information you need to complete all assignments on time. He does however request ALL assignments turned in on time all the time.
Professor Lozada course is smooth sailing. Being a hybrid course it isn't difficult if you know how to read and follow direction.
I enjoyed being in his class , I learned alot and learn to manage my time better.
There was a lot of work but he kept the class interesting while teaching...
He is a good professor
Prof. Lozada cares and gives good lectures but be ready to work for a good grade. Not easy but liked it. Would take again and recommend if you want to get better as a writer because the class was hybrid
Professor Lozada is a good professor. He is a tough grader but FAIR. This was my first time taking a hybrid course. It was different, but interesting. Basically this course will help you discipline yourself. He keeps you well informed of what needs to be done. It's on you to get it done. Pace yourself.
Great Professor
Good professor. You will have to read and check blackboard daily, but he explains everything that is due and gives enough time. You must put in effort to pass this class and pass the quizzes. The quizzes are long, but overall not to difficult.
I strongly recommend this class if you want to learn something about policing. Professor Lozada is the best professor ever. He's very helpful and never hesitates to return your emails and answer all the questions that you might have. The grade is based on how hard you work for the class. I liked the class and I wish if he tough another online class
Gives too much instructions that intertwine with each other but not quiet clear
Don't be intimidated with Prof. Lozada's long syllabus and instructions. He structures the course that way because it's a hybrid class and I learned a lot from it. He gave extra credit for getting outside help at the library or the writing center which of course I used (who wouldn't?). Anyway if you wanna be a cop one day, this is the course for u.
One of the best classes I have taken! The subject is Very actual and one to be used on my everyday life. The professor wastes no time in class but one of his best qualities is in responding to emails on a timely maner, no matter what the question is. I'm coming out of this class with a great level of knowledge about the subject.
He's the BOMB!! he made us buy books that are inexpensive, which is most considerate than most professors at LaGuardia. The work is manageable. Most of the stuff is online. I know I pass with an A or B, but hopefully its an A .... I need that GPA boost lol
Professor Lozada is a great professor. Professional and respectful. If you keep up with the syllabus and do not procrastinate you will be fine. His class materials (textbooks, videos, etc) are legit to what policing is. I would definitely take him again if I could. Yo learn a lot with him. I did great for my first online class.
Professor Lozada was by far my most organized professor. Before I began the course I was unclear with some of the information, but he explained everything clearly. This is not a class or a professor where you can pass from barely doing anything, he makes you work for every grade. He grades based on substance and quality not quantity. He's very good
Great professor, tells you everything you need to do to pass the class so if you dont follow the syllabus its on you. I would take him again.
Professor Lozada actually makes you work for your grade, so if you did not have to before, you will have to for this course. He is very assesible so he can be reach and he will reply as soon as possbile. His exams are pretty long takes a lot of thinking and reading, but if you read it should be very simple. Explains everything clearly.
An amazing professor that can teach you a lot about the subject, work is manageable. In order to get a good grade you need to put in the work!
Gives good feedback, is respected by the students because he's in the filed, and gives clear grading expectations. It's a lot of work but if you follow the syllabus and his instructions you should be OK. I highly recommend! :-)
Professor Lozada is a very great professor, if you follow his directions and put in the effort it pays off at the end
Really amazing Professor that cares about his work and wants to make sure you pass and actually learn something. I would take him again
Professor Lozada is an amazing teacher who cares about his job and wants you to pass. His test are tricky but he gives you enough time to complete it an makes sure you did a good job. He is also very professional when it comes to his job.
Great professor! On of the best I ever have. He makes class interesting and funny, and I loved his class. You will have to read and write more than other classes, but it it not impossible to get an A. If you keep up and don't miss class you'll be fine.
He has an excellent knowledge base of the subject area and imparts it very well to the class.
Very respectful, funny and makes the work seem easy.
Professor Lozada is a great professor cares deeply about his students and wants to see them succeed . A tough grader but only so that you can do better. Very organized and has everything laid out exactly how it should be done. Makes you think and write more critically and provides you with everything you need with great feedback.
He was fair and gave you the opportunity to be able to pass the class. Although tough grader and tough work, it was not impossible. totally recommend taking this course with this professor!
Greatest professor I've ever had. Easy class and clear instructions on how to do the quizzes and other assignments. He knows what he's talking about.
Took in short session. First Hybrid course. It's an easy class just try not to get overwhelmed and have a reliable computer. Time management is key. Felt like I could have done a lot better if I followed the given schedule. This class will challenge you to actually put in work. Highly recommend.
Very straightforward and direct about what it is that needs to be done. This was my first time taking an online course and I must admit it's fairly structured depending on how you manage your time.
Professor Lozada is amazing and he really helps with broadening students knowledge. He also helps with the writing development of his students. He is great ! Just be prepared to work. Follow all instructions and you will be just fine !
This is a hybrid course so naturally it is more on you to make sure all assignments are complete. It helps you only meet once a week so you have more time to get all work done. You really have to put effort into the discussion boards (writing assignments) if you want that A. Overall Prof. Lozada is extremely helpful.
Interesting class, Professor Lazado knows his stuff. He gives a lot of essays but you, but he is not a hard grader. He also gives a lot of extra credit so that you can pass the course. I recommend him.
I actually enjoy the class, however, for a session 2 class. It will be a lot tougher on one's self if absent to many times or fall behind in class, especially session 2. The lectures are really interesting, and gives a good insight to what policing is about, the good and bad, pros and cons. I would prefer to take this class in session 1.
His class is a hybrid course, all of the work is done on blackboard. His quizzes are open book, but you have to pay close attention to your reading.
Everything is well expleined and the grade is easy to obtain.
He is the best at LaGuardia. !!! I enjoyed being in his class.
He makes it very easy for you to pass. Everything is online and he makes it easier for you by breaking everything down step by step so you understand it better. I recommend this class especially for those who enjoy doing online work rather than hand written test and papers
This was my first hybrid class ever at Laguardia. Although it was a little tough for me I still enjoyed the class very much. The professor was very helpful and I enjoyed the lectures very much. Would def recommend his class, but it is fast paced. Just a heads up. But you won't regret it.
Due to the professors health and weather issues, this hybrid class was extremely unpleasant. The prof. is very Knowledgeable about policing and makes learning fun but we barely had a full class together. That had a negative effect on my learning and my overall class grade. I am sure if there was a consistent schedule, this would be a great class.
I took Prof Lozada online hybrid class SSJ203. Prof. makes it definitely worth while during in-person portion of class. lectures where heavy on talking; lite on power point, so you must take good notes!. Assignments for online portion where were clear and easy to understand and timed appropriately. grading can be tough but fair. I recommend.
This professor seems very educated and like he knows his stuff. however i had him for the short session and he only showed up to class 3 times. it was an interesting course, but i did not learn anything. all i did was write essays and did quizzes online. only knowledge i gain was from the text book.
He seem like he would have been a good professor. but, he rarely came to class, and he gave a lot of essays. I DIDNT LEARN ANYTHING!!!.
Professor Joseph Lozada is a great professor and I recommend you to take his class. He gives out assignments every week so be prepared for that but he gives you exactly a week to finish it up. Textbook is required in this class especially for quizzes. As long as you do exactly what he wants best believe you would pass his class.
Great teacher. You will have to work hard for your grade if you slack you will get the grade you deserve. Class is very interesting and wonderful. Assignments at home can be confusing and difficult you will have to reread them twice maybe three times.
If your taking this class make sure, your not taking more than 3 classes. This hybrid course requires you to work for your grade.
Great guy I appreciate how he told me just how much of a pleasure it was having me in his class meant a lot to m
I took this course as an hybrid course. This class was a lot of work. Being a hybrid course a lot of on your own learning is involved. I enjoyed taking the class and being able to have sufficient time to get work done. There was a lot of videos to watch and both books and videos were important for exams and quizzes. Work hard and get good grades.
Good Prof. But you are required to do all your work. I took him for a hybrid so it was kind of tough. I didn't take the class to serious but must say that I learned a lot. Overall good Prof.
I took his class as a hybrid class which required more work than other classes. However, this professor really cares about his students. There is a lot of work to do in this class but if you stay on track and complete everything on time you should be fine.
I took this class as a hybrid class, which requires more work then your regular classes. Overall besides this course I took one other hybrid class, but what different about him then the rest is that he walks you through step by step what he wants. Be prepared to read and as long as you stay on track you'll do just fine
This was my first hybrid class ever, it was difficult at first but he's efficient at explaining the assignments the way he wants them to be. He cares a lot about his students and shows it through the feedback he gives you. DO NOT take this course if you are enrolled in three other classes.
He's an excellent professor, but to get that A you need to work hard for it because he's not an easy A professor either. You have to follow everything exactly how he says because if not you're grades will be reflected on it.
Class is very specific, and clear. Great professor, be ready to read and write. Don't slack, clear information and you will be good to go. Extra Credit are always given which is always helpful.
Professor Lozada was by far one of my many favorite professors at Laguardia. It was my first time taking a hybrid course and he walked you through every step of the way his lectures were always interesting as he was always displayed much interest in them. He really knows his stuff and is determine to help his students pass & understand the criteria
Professor Lozada was honestly one of the best professors I ever had. Although he does not show up as often as others do, you still get to learn because of all the reading we have to do. Also this a hybrid course so make sure to check that if you do not like to use blackboard. 10/10 would recommend.
Great professor. Gives good feedback on assignment. The work might seem heavy but if you read you should be okay. Do not take this course online if you are not determined and hate reading . With professor Lozada I see hybrid classes as A yes. Textbooks are required. Can be heavy quizzes.
I will say to take his advice on not leaving assignments last minute. I've managed to get pretty good grades considering I didn't listen to that. He gives great feedback and also the opportunity for extra credit. Makes the syllabus idiot proof, and is responsive to emails ( unlike most of my other professors). Overall he's great, and good looking
I took this class as a hybrid course and i was very glad i did. At first it seemed overwhelming as it was my first time taking a hybrid course but as i began getting accustomed to it it wasn't bad at all. Excellent professor he really explains everything and helps you out if needed. I would recommend taking his class. Be ready for lots of essays.
He's a good professor and you can have the opportunity to learn a lot. The class is very interesting but beware of the absence, he gives extra points for this and if you miss your grade can go down. Just stay alert for the quizzes and assignments and you will pass.
Professor Lozada's ssj203 class was really interesting. I learned a lot in this class. The lecture are pretty interesting and gave me a lot of knowledge for my criminal justice major.
Prof Lozada was really informative when it came to his presentations, he explains any questions through creating scenarios that interact with the class to help students better understand what is being explained. Please make sure to read what he asks, if you don't you will find the class difficult and almost impossible to catch up.
Professor Joseph Lozada SSJ 203 is really fun and interesting . Very understanding, gives great feedback and responds back to emails asap. No Lie. A great professor explains with amazing lectures.
Professor Lozada is a great professor. He makes sure you understand the material before leaving class. BE SURE TO READ EACH CHAPTER, EACH WEEK. Do not fall behind if you are taking his SSJ 203 hybrid class!
He is really awesome ! As long as you read the chapters and get all of the work done you'll be completely fine.
I really enjoyed this class. He always made it fun to learn in a class that I thought was going to be super boring. He taught me a lot of things. Make sure to read the books because that helps a ton! His work may seem a lot when you first hear it all but trust me, he breaks it down to be easy. JUST DON'T WAIT LAST MINUTE TO DO IT!
Joseph Lozada is a very organized, detailed, precise Professor. I liked his class a lot because It was very informative, and not in a boring dull way. He makes It captivating to learn. Super attentive and responds to emails very quick if theres an issue. As long as you keep up with the weekly assignments, youll be fine. I would take him again.
Professor Lozada is a very intelligent professor who cares about his students. He conducts his class is a very interesting and organized way. The instructions for his class are very clear and if you follow them you should pass with a high grade. You get to learn a lot of important material in his class that can impact your future career.
Proffesor Lozada is one of the best proffesors that I have had. I took the policing class for him wih was a hybrid class and it really helped seeing him do his job with such a passion making me want to read and learn more. I really enjoyed his class and if I had a chance to take him again I will deffenitly will.
Professor Lozada has great knowledge about all the topics we spoke about in class. Since this was a hybrid course most of the things we did online were well structured. Very specific assignments are given so if you read and do what you need to do you will not have a problem. Class sessions helped answer questions about papers due.
Great professor, just do the work.
Professor Lozada is very knowledgeable about policing. It is not an easy class, but prof. Lozada will prepare you for your bachelor degree and master. Every week, there will be assignments, quizzes or midterm, but do not worry, you will have enough time to complete them. As long as you do not slack and leave it to the last minute, you will do fine.
Even though this course was hybrid, it felt like it was online. Many of his instructions were so long to the point where I am confused. Very anal about grammar, try to leave this class towards the end of ur Lagcc journey. Lectures were amazing(very knowledgeable) but many of my classes were canceled. hw was overbearing (I have other classes too!)
He is a nice professor, very clear and mostly understanding. However, I feel as though he over explains things A LOT, making an already difficult hybrid class seem more overwhelming as opposed to making it easier. Its tough to have to read two pages of instructions before you can start doing the work
Hybrid during the short session but we still learned so much. Prof. Lozada is very passionate and engaging. He is also ready and willing to answer any questions about the field. I was surprised at how much we were able to grasp in such a short amount of time. DB essays and exams aren't easy but not impossible if you read the required text and vids
I took professor Lozada for a hybrid policing course(short session). At first it was scary doing work online but I assure you he breaks everything down to you in class so easy to understand. He was very informative and interactive during class which made attending even better. I highly recommend him.
During this class it has challenged me to become a better learned and writer. Although the amount of work he gives out is a lot, at the end of the day it teaches you something valuable that you will be able to use in real life situation
College is college. I understand i should be ready for the hard work, but this professor make sure you understand what stress means. There's quizzes every week followed by 2 essays. So not only will you HAVE to study for every single quiz per week, but also read articles and research for his essays. Be ready to grow grey hair!!!!
The class was great to take I enjoyed it a lot. There's a a few discussion boards, quizzes, a midterm, and a research paper. Professor Lozada makes a hybrid class great especially since this is my first time taking it. Definitely would take Professor Lozada again.
tons of material to cover every week. do not take if working full time
This course can be intimidating as a hybird course you do everything through blackboard, a lot of content to process but overall he is a good professor and is willing to work with you as long as you give in your work on time and communicate with him.
Professor Lozada, is honestly a pretty good professor. I took him for a winter course. He's very specific as to how he wants his assignments are done; so all you really need to do is follow his instructions. He's pretty structured and I like structure and regularity because it makes it easy to follow the course. He's pretty understanding.
He is a great professor, he gives a lot homework, but that wasn't difficult. I would like take again
The professor is nice and honest.
In the beginning, I was not feeling this Professor at all! I felt his blackboard set up was very cluttered and I felt his workload was beyond overwhelming. But towards the end, he went above and beyond to make sure we can get the best grades possible!. Answers email literally 24/7 and his lectures were actually very good and interesting! A++++
Professor was fair and clear with instructions and broke it down for students who were taking a hybrid course for the first time.
Professor Lozada's class was pretty simple and straight forward. Although most would get overwhelmed by the amount of information he puts out on blackboard it is recommended to tackle it little by little. Procrastination will literally destroy your chance of getting an easy A since he gives plenty of time to complete assignments.
Professor Lozada gives a good feedback and gives students the opportunity to get extra credit.
Professor Joseph Lozada is some who care about your academic and he prepares you for a 4-year college dynamic. He gives a lot of instructions but it because he wants to see you can follow them and meet deadlines. I highly recommend taking him he is the best.
He is very forward with what he wants. Test are hard if you do not read the textbooks. He is not a mean professor and gives good feedback, so you know what he expects on your next assignment from you.
Pro. Lozada is a great professor! At first, he comes off very overwhelming. He goes into deep detail that makes you think this is going to be a lot of work but once he breaks it down everything is clear. Follow his outline, you will never fall behind. Very cool and you can tell he loves teaching! DO ALL YOUR WORK !!! DONT WAIT LAST MINUTE
Great class Great challenge
Overall this professor is a very good one to consider for the short semesters. He is very helpful and always responds to any concern you may have immediately. Very easy to reach via email. He gives out a lot of information in his on campus classes so make sure you don't miss out. Both of the required textbooks were very cheap to purchase.
Seems like his class is English 101 for which you did not sign up. His instructions are longer to read than court cases. He will spoil your weekend by giving you work from Friday morning. Then he will make sure you work all week long on his assignments as if you have no other courses to work on. He will drop your grade for minor things. Skip him.
SSJ 203 was strictly online, it was asynchronous, every week assignments and lectures were posted on Friday. We did not meet the times originally suggested on schedule nor did we zoom. Time management is crucial, be aware procrastinators. I was confused and scared the first 2 weeks but his directions are straightforward. Just follow his steps.
It seemed like the course was not about policing. It seemed like the adjunct had some other motives and agenda in trying to teach this class.
As long as you follow Prof. Lozada's instructions, you will do just fine. He gives you time to complete late assignments, so that you have a chance to bring up your grade (shows that he cares). He also gives good feedback and his grading is clear. Highly recommend if you want to work on your writing skills.
Great professor. Instructions are a bit too clear, and oversimplified sometimes it can make you feel overwhelmed. Also, I took this class cause Its my major but I felt more like I was in English class than policing also I learned more about grammar rules more than policing. If youre a great writer then this is the class for you!
I for one liked all the instructions Prof. Lozada provided as this class was 100% online. I didnt have to constantly email him for clarity, like I did with other professors. I also liked that everything was directly from the textbook, so make sure to get both of them. In the end, I write better, so I can recommend him because of that.
This professor is a wonderful person. He gives us examples to help us prepare with paper. Our works were a lot however with his help and my own determination, hard works I finished it. To get a better grade in this class, you have study a lot and do well. All the best!!!
A lot of assignments. A lot of readings. A lot of very long tests.
Professor Lozada will make you work for your grade. As long as you are willing to put in the work and learn, you will do well. Make sure to stay up on assignments or it can get overwhelming trying to catch up. Overall, the work given is fair.
In an attempt to explain what he wants from his students, he manages to complicate it more. Very meticulous, pays attention to the smallest details. Point will be taken for spelling mistakes or incorrect use of singular or plural in papers and exams. Quizzes are 45+ questions. He gives extra credit options, though.
For me, it was a fair amount of work for an online class. He gives good feedback to help you with your writing assignments. But if you have a full credit load or working full time, he might not be for you. If you don't mind that and you stay on top of the work, you'll do fine. The essays & tests are directly from the book, so get them.
Professor Lozada gives too many instructions making it harder to see what he actually wants you to get done. I haven't meet anxiety until I read his instructions for the first time.
If you pay attention to Prof. Lozadas instructions, you can get an easy A. Quizzes are not timed and could be done over a week. Overall, I liked the class. But you shouldnt take if your not ready to work.
Prof. Lozada is very meticulous, so get ready to work on your writings. If you're a procrastinator, don't take him. However, if you are willing to work hard and do all the assignments on time, you will get an A.
this class is easy as long as you read the textbook and follow instructions
class is tough you must put in work but he does gives extra credit to help your grade
Took the policing course in the winter session so there was work due every Thursday. He's straightforward with every assignment and give examples of how the work should be done so its very helpful to complete. The quiz are challenging but not super hard if you have the textbook and book required for the course. Answer emails super fast !
You have to learn on your own. He just gives you the work and you're on your own.
Need better access to ebooks
Professor gave clear instructions, all information was provided. A lot of reading was assigned. Deadlines to meet for each quizzes and enough time was given for each assignment. Fair grader but the course is content heavy.
It is funny how negative comments get deleted from this site. His class is a workload and all the work is unfair. He makes you buy multiple textbooks. The quizzes and tests are extremely long. He also gives extra credit for the ones that give him a good review on this website. Take this class if you only need 1. I am warning you. Save your GPA
there's a lot of reading, but there are a lot of instructions on how to complete each assignment. If you're working full time and going to school full time, you should not take him as there is a lot of reading and researching which takes up a lot of time. just my opinion
Professor Lozada's class was interesting because I made many self-discoveries ... one being a better writer due to his feedback. Can't be absent from his lessons and expect to pass. He does provide a lot of work, but it makes sense since he needs to somehow know that you did the independent assignments. Well-organized class and I would take him.
I can see he is passionate and he can be a very good professor. But for me, I wish I took this class with a less credit load because i also work full time. But he did correct errors in quizzes and gave extra credit if you needed it. In the end I did learn a lot, so he's worth a shot if you're thinking about finishing your BA.
Professor Lozada is a very good professor who will take the time to help every student. Even though this was an online course I could tell that he genuinely cares about each student bettering their reading comprhehension and writing skills. THIS CLASS IS NOT FOR STUDENTS LOOKING FOR AN EASY RIDE!!!!
Prof. Joseph nice person but his instructions so long. He pays attention to everything. He counted every appointment with the writing center but I didn't know and he gave always extra credit for this. He just wants us to succeed in the future and that's why he gives difficult assignments and quizzes.
Prof. Lozada seems very knowledgeable. He can be tough in grading but I see it on the bright side. He's preparing us for reality. One thing, I suggest is less writing on instructions. Just the instructions themselves overwhelms. I would have loved having him in a hybrid class.
This class was required for my major. The class is good and for my it had a high lever of difficulty, However, profesor Lozada explains very well every assignments.
Prof Lozado, makes you work hard for your grade. He is very structured and detailed you will rarely if ever have a question. Every week he has assigned a chapter and quiz. Some weeks will have more in-depth discussion boards. It feels like preparing for the hardest level college course you will ever take. If you follow his instructions youll pass.
This professor was amazing! He had great communication with his students about the coursework, achieving a good grade, and the overall success in the course. Be prepared to do lots of work in order to achieve a good grade. READ THE DIRECTIONS for all assignments because he is very detailed and precise about what he is looking for.
