Funny ass Mo fo. Sometimes he looks like hes half retarded when explaining stuff. But he's very helpful. Exams arent too bad. You dont even need the book. He offers a 20 point extra credit homework assignment and drops the lowest homework. Homework takes time though.

He is the best professor I have had yet. He makes you laugh every class. You don't need the book, just make sure you go to class. He types out all his notes for you; you just need to fill in some blanks on the notes. He is VERY nice and helpful.

one of the most entertaining professors i've had. he gets side tracked very easily and will make u laugh almost every class. Homeworks were lengthy but there weren't many and they were helpful for exams. Class isn't mandatory but he made it worth going to because of his humor and teaching style!

The Best professor I've had so far. He's hilarious and he gets so excited to teach. He identifies the key areas to study for the test. Tests are long and wordy and homeworks are long but other than that he's great.

Awesome Prof. I would take acc. with him before anyone else. Taking Acc202 in ths summer so I have him for a prof. b/c he may not be teaching 202 in the fall.

He is the happiest professor you'll ever meet! This is the third class I've had with him (after ACC 201 & 202) and its great! He makes every subject fun, no matter how boring, and I go to him for tutoring in every subject even if he doesn't teach it. He's ALWAYS willing to help. Any class he teaches is definetly worth taking!

Amazing professor--you can tell he enjoys teaching the subject. Prepares meticulously for class. Goes through material in detail, then does problems on the overhead projector. Classes are not easy, but he goes to incredible lengths to make sure students grasp the material. A welcome break from the tired, old-fogey accounting faculty at URI.

This man is an amazing professor. I've always had trouble with accounting but he was helpful with every question I had for him, in fact he encouraged me to ask more questions. He truly stands out as one of the best professors I've ever taken a course with in my entire academic career. If you need to take any accounting courses, take them with him.

THE BEST ACCOUNTING PROFESSOR AT URI HANDS DOWN. Extremely passionate about the the subject and always willing to answer questions. He really wants the students to succeed. Ask questions, take notes, go to class!! Only a midterm and a final and they're not heavily weighted. Homework counts the most and most people do it in groups.

Great professor. Posts all the outlines online, no attendance policy, so it's kinda on you to make it to class and learn the material. If you do go, he's crystal clear with explanations, and really pleasant to deal with if you need to.

He is a awsome teacher. I suggest anyone who is taking him to take him for both 201 and 202 (im in 202 now). He is very thorough, tells you exactly what will be on all the exams and the online quizzes are not hard at all. Always asks in the beginning of class if anyone has any questions. He is a funny teacher who really tries to convey his knowledge by using real world scenarios. He is always available to help after class if you have questions. I would recommend if you need to take 201 and 202 take it with him.

I decided to take this class during the summer instead of waiting until the Fall and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Joe is an awesome professor! I took him for both BUS 201 and 202 and I have to say he made accounting somewhat easy.. The class is definitely a lot of work. About 4 or 5 homework's which are at least 10 pages each, but they really prepare you for each exam. Joe is very fair, and also around if you need help. Take Accounting with joe!!

One of the best professors i've ever had next to Michael Deangelis. Great sense of humor and extremely helpful. I take him every chance i get for an accounting class. He even made my 4 hour summer class interesting and tolerable. Also very lenient with his grades, he only wants to see that you understand the topics at hand.

D'Adamo is a fantastic college professor. He has flexible office hours and really strives to help his students understand the material he is teaching. Sometimes work will pile up in the class but overall he is very lenient to students and is a very fun professor to take.

Joe D'adamo is the man I took his 202 class and I was very pleased. He rewards you greatly if you try and his office hours are so vital to getting a good grade in his class. He will literally sit down and do homeworks and quizzes with you if you show that you actually care about the material. Great guy. Great class

No complaints. There is no textbook, and he gives you all the notes you possibly need. He also puts the notes on Sakai. There are occasional extra credit points for showing up to class so make sure you're there even though it's not mandatory. Taking this class at 8am was rough, but D'Adamo made the class fun and worth the getting up in the morning!

The very best teacher I ever had. He actually got me interested in picking up Accounting as a major alongside Economics as he encouraged and made me beleive I can. Great professor! If you don't understand a topic or concept, ask for help early on the course. I did not open the required book for this class. I suggest not missing a class, since he has his own outline for the course. Reread and practice his examples and quizzes for his exams.

Best professor I've had at URI hands down through 3 years. Joe has real world experience (Used to audit for PWC Boston) and actually wants his students to learn the material. Joe is the accounting god here at URI. If you want to take a fun class with a hilarious guy that treats you like you're actually human, take Joe. I have loved Joe since day one, he made me want to become an accountant. His teaching style is somewhat quick, like every accounting professor, but if you can keep up you'll love him and he helps so much.

He is literally the best accounting professor I've ever had. He is the sweetest, funniest, and caring professors I've had at URI. He is very helpful during office hours and likes to get to know his students. He makes funny jokes during class and has a consistent teaching style. If you cant take his class do it! You won't regret it!

No need to buy the book because he does the homeworks, exams, etc based on his own method (which are way better). One of the best teachers URI has to offer.

Class was very simple. Lots of online quizzes and homeworks. Can be considered an easy class if you use his study guides for the test and get help from the tutors in ballentine with homework assignments. Easy B if you can keep up.

Took both accounting classes with him. Online quizzes/hw every week but worth it. If you study his study guides and understand the problems you will do well and you are allowed to make a cheat sheet for the exam. He also gives extra credit 2 times during the semester on days when many students don't show up (day before break/rainy day).

Joe is a fantastic professor! Very clear, entertaining, vocal, engaging. You have to do the work, but if you do, you will get an A. Also, if you have to take the accompanying lab, take him. His lab stays with the class. I had to get transferred out of the lab I had because the instructor was off by 2 weeks. So be sure to take Joe for both.

He is funny and randomly gives extra credit in class, like on rainy days literally. Extra credit gave me a 100 on first exam easily and will add on to my next exam. Homework was the hardest and longest but go to his office hours and he basically gives you the answers.

Take him for BUS201 and BUS202 if you can. Group projects are long and annoying, but that's really the only negative.

The man is hilarious but a bit overwhelming. He teaches quick but thorough and it became a bit hard to follow. I lived in the tutoring room for this class and ended up with an A but only thanks to the tutors. Beginning of the class is definitely the hardest, gets easier from there, major work load never ends.

An absolute pleasure to take his class. He does assign a moderate amount of HW, but gives tons of help at office hours and after class. He does do group projects, so make sure to lock down a very good group at the beginning of the semester, because you'll be working with them on multiple projects. You get a one page cheat sheet on exams too!

Professor D'Adamo is the most lively and passionate person you can imagine teaching auditing, and he transforms what can often be a dull subject into a comprehensive learning experience with real-world references. He is one of the most caring people I have met in the College of Business, and he makes his students' success his personal goal.

Without a doubt, the funniest and most interesting professor I've taken. But aside from that the amount of assignments is insane. Weekly you will have two online quizzes (takes about 1-2 hours each) and homework (takes about 2-3 hours). All on top of midterms, group projects and studying. To get a B or better you gotta set aside 20 hours a week.

We had a quiz for each chapter, but it felt just like regular homework. The professor is super nice and chill. My class was online (asynchronous) but he was always available to answer questions, quick to respond to emails. He decided to go easy on us because he was too busy grading other classes as well.
