He was a substitute for Professor Brophy for like 3 weeks. He was extremely detailed in his lectures. He makes history fun and explains his lectures with stories. He has a lot of passion for teaching. He also teaches government and politics will take him again.

He was the best prof. I have ever had!!! very helpful, if you don't understand something, he will explain it to you until you get it. Gives great reviews before test. If you come to class and do what you are suppose to do then there is no reason why you shouldn't get an A in his class. Would def take him again without hesitation.

He's a very a nice and outgoing guy. One of the best teachers I've ever had. All he asks is that you try your best, pay attention, and be respectful towards him and other students. He feels that tests aren't necessary, but he gives great reviews and if you don't understand something, he will stop what he's doing and explain it to you.

Professor Margiotta gives crystal clear notes and lecture discussions (there is no reason not to get an A). He finds the most amazing connections between subjects and events (which makes the class really intersting even if you think government and history stuff sucks). Prof is great. Took him @ MCC. If you love history, he'll indulge you. If you hate it, like me, he'll make it the easiest class you've ever taken. 2 take home tests, each 50% of the grade. No paper, no other hw. I had him for a four hour Saturday morning class, he kept us for about two. No need for textbook. He's a really nice guy - take him.

He loves what he does. He loves when others show interest in what he's talking about. He has a great lesson plan that made me interested & i actually remember stuff like who made codified law and that many wars came in 3s. He's a great teacher, take him cuz you wont regret it!

This Prof. is by far one of my favorite. His class is a little boring but his tests and quizes are EASY!!! I know nothing about history but i passed with a "A" He knows his stuff and i promise you'll laugh in his class. He's a great teacher and He'll help you with anything you need. I WILL be taking him again!

He goes off topic often and his classes are a joke. Almost everyone gets an "A" because he gives you the test questions beforehand. I don't call that learning.

Professor Joseph Margiotta is one of the best professors in UCC. This man knows all the history in the world. I don't know where he stores all that info. You ask him anything and he will have the answer for you. He makes his class fun and easy at the same time. I took him for GOV 201 202 and US His 201. I highly recommennd this guy has a professor.

I took Margiotta fall 2013, and let me say first, his class is extremely fun- you will not be bored! Discussion is encouraged, and thus class can get quite animated. Margiotta is a great teacher with many interesting stories to illustrate his points. His specialty is Egyptology so please someone convince him to head a trip to Egypt!

Took his 3 hour history course over the spring semester expecting to hate my life for those 3 hours. Literally the best history professor at UCC. I can't believe they wont make him full time! He'll stop his lesson to make sure everyone understands, and he gives out extra credit. There's only a midterm, final and research paper, but as long as you pay attention there's no way you wont pass.

Winter class lecture was 4 hrs a day 5 days a week but this prof made it super interesting. He really knows what he's talking about & will make everything easy to understand. He does random extra credit questions during lectures & adds them to your FINAL grade. DETAILED NOTES ARE IMPORTANT! CON: Final term paper is done in Chicago/Turabian style

Basically all the tags I put explain him. He loves participation, and you HAVE to show up to class. He's super easy to work with, and super fun. Kind of all over the place and at times it was hard to keep up with him, but nonetheless great.

In his class if you show up listen and say a few words you will pass. He give like 2 test and a final exam and a research paper. And the test are take home where google has all the answers !!!!!!!

Very few assignments are given and the ones that are weigh very heavy and should be done to best of ability. If you skip his class you WILL FAIL. I am currently taking Professor Margiotta's HIST101 class and I have to say that history has never been more interesting than it is now. You have to attend class and definitely do the work to pass but he is always offering help if you need it. Genius at what he does and also very inspirational.

Professor Margiotta is an absolutely amazing teacher, he is so accommodating and so passionate in his lectures. I have had him for two history classes and now for international politics, he continues to be amazing. He is a personal inspiration to me as I hope to be as good as him as I wish to be an educator in the field of history.

EASILY my favorite professor during my time at UCC. I was worried when I origianlly signed up but, I have never enjoyed a class more in my life. Professor Margiotta seemed so generally interested in his students. He wanted his students to be as stress free as possible while also learning. Honestly, he is just an all around great teacher.

I retook this class (Dropped it when the pandemic came because of online classes & anxiety, uncertainty, etc, but that was just me) HE IS AMAZING! He CARES about & UNDERSTANDS his students! Do the work (Which will be the research paper, weekly tests u do at home, final, etc) & put all of your best effort in and it will pay off! He also went to UCC!

Honestly, I was worried if I would be able to pass this course because I just finished my ESL classes and English is not my native language. Now I can say that all my doubts were wrong. I passed this class and I got an A. Professor Margoiotta is a very good professor, his lectures are not boring, and his life examples are really cool!

Took this class in Fall 2020. Professor Margiotta was the absolute best! His work is very simple and easy. He was very understanding if you couldn't turn in the assignment in on time (good reasons of course). He gave the assignments a week before it was due which was every Sunday. Always engaged with the students. So glad I took his class.

Took this class in Spring 2021. I had Professor Margiotta for HIS 101 for Fall 2020 and I loved him so I decided to take HIS 104 with him as well. Everything was graded fairly and he was super nice to everybody. He engaged with all the students. The remote live class was never boring. Definitely recommend taking his class

Very understanding professor. He makes it clear what he expects of you at the beginning of the semester. Lectures are very engaging and nice to listen too. I've never been a big fan of history as a subject but he actually made it so I wanted to come to class. He doesn't give much work. Show up and participate in class. I would 100% take him again!

One of the best teachers ever! The lectures were very interesting and engaging. The professor is very understanding, especially when it comes to the assignments. He only gave us one assignment every Sunday. He is very kind and respectful to his students. He doesn't give out a lot of work. I'm taking him again next semester! I 100% recommend him!

Excellent Professor his online class was a breeze. Just make sure to keep up with the work, theres a lot of discussion posts and writing activities. Fast grader and easy criteria to understand/follow. Overall, would recommend his online course.

He really loves what he teaches which made the class enjoyable for me. Funny and caring, you can tell he really cares about his students. The work load is not a lot if you pace yourself correctly.

Awesome Professor. Would recommend to anyone. Weekly homework assignments, 8 page research paper due at end of semester and a final. Really cares for his students. Very passionate about History. Show up to class and do the work. Easy A.

Amazing Professor but also very caring and respected Person , cares about his students but also wants the best for his students impossible to fail unless you never show up and never do his work . Amazing experience with Margiotta.

Professor Margiotta is one of the best professors I have ever had. He is more than understanding and is 100% always there to help his students and accommodate his students with learning disabilities as well.
