He's not only hot...but he makes class interesting and if a student is struggling,he goes out of his way to help that student.(FYI: He almost always visit Costa Rica every year.)

I like Professor Menig a lot. He's a very understanding teacher. I can often see that he wants to help. He just wants us to learn well and get a good grade. He's really there to help you. Yes, he is good looking as well. Regardless, my Spanish has improved. I recommend him.

Very patient and helpful. Always offered his time if you had any questions. I learned a lot in this class and I was doubtful before I started. If you do the homework and attend class, you will pass, you can't help it.

I was excited about taking this class it is very confusing but if you have any questions the teacher is very helpful and he takes his time to answer any questions you have.

Prof. Menig is an awesome teacher. He is very fair, wants his students to learn, and is willing to go the extra mile. The class content itself is a little hard, but if you do your work, study and show up for class, you will pass this course easily.

Pretty good teacher, very clear and knowlegeable. Tests are a little hard/long but prepares you well. (a lot of work) Homework is not to much. Good teacher but i got a bad grade.

He is fair and his tests are fair. He give you a study guide before the test which shows what will be on the test and the types of questions. College Spanish moves very fast so you have to keep up.

Very Fair. Keep up with homework and studying and you will do fine. Grades are spread out so if you do poorly on one things it won't effect your grade too much. Let you drop lowest test grade. You will do a lot of speaking in class. He calls on everyone so be ready for that.

Professor Menig is the best teacher at Valencia. He gets the class involved by asking questions to everybody in Spanish. Keep up the work, especially Quia, study hard, and ask questions if you have difficulty. His tests are not hard.

The class is so involved that times passes quickly. He does not pronounciate his spanish very well, so understanding him may be a issue. Also, he is selective with whom is likes. Also, he grades very accordingly with less anticipation on grammar and more emphasis on if you know the words and vocabulary. I would recommend that students take him.

Best class I've ever taken at Valencia. Prof. Menig teaches well and makes learning Spanish fun. No surprises, expectations are clear. Homework is easy and online. Prepares the class well for quizzes, and gives out a detailed review before each test. You can drop your lowest test. Be prepared to speak, he calls on everyone, but makes it fun.

Most fun i've ever had in a class! He talks VERY clearly in english and spanish. He gives quizzes, good tests, and quia homework. All are pretty easy, just memorize the verbs really well. Cracks down hard on those (in test paragraphs)! El profesor es bueno! TAKE HIM!

Professor Menig is amazing! This is the first time I have ever rated a teacher on here, but Menig is the best. I took him for Basic Spanish & I am currently in his Elementary Spanish I class, and he is a great teacher & a great person. easy on the eyes too which makes the class go faster :)

The class was very engaging and made it helpful to understand. He can be a bit moody at times and gets frustrated when you don't know the answer, but if the whole class does not know the answer maybe he should step back and ask why. I would take him again, I feel I've learned a lot.

the best professor i've had so far! I hate spanish, but he made it interesting. uses different teaching techniques so that everyone can pick it up quickly. he does give lots of quizzes and tests, but i got an A on everyone!

I almost dropped this class, but I hung in & found that Prof. Menig is a great instructor. Study the material & participate in class. Gvz short pop quizzes to boost ur grade. Exams are ez if u study. Online hmwk is 10% of grade. 2 oral prez. Attend not mand., but helps not to miss! I'm taking him again! & yes, he's a Q.T. too!

EXCELLENT PROFESSOR!!! There is a lot of class participation, and some small group work in class, a couple of presentations, QUIA homework, the quizzes are simple, the tests are not hard if you study for them. He really makes it interesting in class......I definitely recommend him.

Menig is an awesome professor. His intructions are clear and if you pay attention, you are sure to pick up the language quickly. Has a low tolerance for know-it-alls. If you are so familar with the language, why are you taking the class? Just sit back and listen, you might learn something. I would recommend Professor Menig to anyone.

This is the easiest way to learn spanish. He is the best spanish professor I ever had and he speaks fluently in both english and spanish and you will learn more than other spanish class. Class is not boring and it is easy as long as you do your homework and tests.

I transferred to his class from another I was behind onthehomework,thewriting assignment,didn't do well on the chapter tests,etc.However, he is such a good teacher he recognized I had good comprehension (I'm half spanish)so he treated me as an individual, like he does every student.His class is always fun,we all bonded,And he's a cutie.A+for Menig

Great professor! I was failing the first couple weeks. I was determined to get out of spanish so i studied really hard. My grades improved, he is fair if u sit in class and do nothing u get nothing. If u seek clarity he's there to help. Very encouraging to. Flip side is he goes a lil fast when talking but he will repeat if asked.

Love him! So helpful I was failing miserably a few tests. He is very helpful. Do your hw and writing assignments and dont use a translator u are asking for a zero. Overall helpful, and funny.

You have to work hard in this class. I didn't take him for Spanish 1 but I wish I had. He is a great teacher and you will really learn in his class. The first teacher I had was great as well but she wasn't strict on accent marks or anything. If you really want to learn Spanish Menig is the way to go.

He was great at teaching Spanish and I learned a lot. He didn't feel like a teacher though. Doesn't stay after class and he actually left in the middle of class one day because he was upset that half the class didn't show. He is very tough and assigns A LOT of homework. There are much easier Spanish teachers I would take instead.

First off, you'll get an A if you keep up with assignments. Aside from that, the man is not understanding about things and isn't very clear cut when he speaks of graded work. Honestly I had a rough semester and it's probably my fault but take him. You learn some Spanish and the tests are menial. Expect useless and cringy kiddie paper assignments.

This professor is great. I took him for Spanish 1 and 2, he is extremely nice and caring. If you show up to class, and do the online homework, you will most likely pass. Also, he drops the lowest test grade so if you miss a test and if you talk with him about it, he will do his best to make sure you understand before moving to the next topic.

He understands that trying to learn a new language is scary and is very considerate of that. He explains clearly what will be on the test and large assignments. The homework is a little heavy but it is good practice for in class. The class atmosphere is very relaxed but if you miss a class, good luck.

Professor Menig is an amazing professor. I took him for SPN1120 and I will be taking him for SPN1121. His teaching style is easy to understand, and he doesn't mind slowing down a bit to make sure everyone has got the material. The class environment was very welcoming, and I can actually say I learned a lot from him and this class.

Prof Menig is a great teacher. I have taken spanish before and failed , but prof menig did everything he could to help me do good in the class. The tests are exactly what we learn in class. He also gives a review sheet before the tests. There is a lot of online homework, so make sure you do it. Besides that, it is pretty impossible to fail.

I took Professor Menig as a way to learn the spanish language a little bit more, in all honesty the SuperSite is what brought my grade down but IF you do it and get most of the answers right it's your best friend as well. He's a fun and easy to get along with professor with a few papers and 5 tests as well. Studying is your best friend here!!

I enjoyed his class a lot. I really wish I could have taken him again for Spanish 2 but I couldn't. He is very repetitive and calls on you a lot but that is just to help you learn. It was very affective for me. Tells you exactly what you need to study for the tests. If you haven't picked a Spanish professor yet, he is who I recommend.

Professor Menig was great!!! Spanish is a hard language to learn, but he made it fun and easy! His exams are very straightforward, he gives you a study guide & lets you know what/how it's going to be set up. Amazing professor! He teaches you the different sections, has students participate and work in groups to practice, and has you present presentations regularly to prove that you have learned what he has taught. If you participate, get the homework done on Supersite, and study, it's an easy A. Would definitely recommend!

Professor Menig is the ideal professor. He makes learning Spanish easy than a lot of professors. Just imagine this: Menig is an English man teaching Spanish, and not a Spanish man teaching Spanish.

Professor Menig is the best Spanish professor you could have. I took him for Spanish 1 and 2 on campus. There is a lot of homework but he gives you lots of resources to be able to do it. U have a test, writing, and presentation for every chapter but the journal hw is the same as the writing part of the test and the same as the presentation.

I've always had trouble with Foreign Languages, but Prof. Menig has a great way of explaining things to make them easier to understand. I took professor Menig for both Spanish 1 and 2. He's very nice, understanding and helpful. He really wants you to succeed. During the corona crisis we were forced to move to online and he still went out of his way to give us resources and online office hours every day to ask questions. Homework is mostly online. Definitely take him!

the tests are not difficult. just know you will have to really study and understand material! tests and writing exams require honorlock. midterm and final speaking exam through zoom. pretty nice guy though. also presentations done through flipgrid at the end of each chapter, which can be tedious. a lot of work, but nothing too over the top.

I finished the class with 73 percent. At the midterm, I had 55 percent. If that doesnt tell you how easy it is to actually do good in this i dont what will. Typical spanish class. 4 chapter exams, an oral midterm, and a 3 part final. Final is a writing exam, oral exam and an actual multiple choice/ scentence response exam. Its easy.

Professor Menig was very accessible when I reached out to him about something. He had lots of online resources from the textbook (activities V helpful) and youtube, but it would've been nice to get lectures... he is quite easy on the eyes haha. Zoom tests weren't difficult at all if you go through the reviews he posts, & provides decent feedback.

Extremely helpful for people with absolutely no prior knowledge of Spanish. He understands how difficult learning the language can be and understands mistakes are made. He goes easy on you and will give extra help if you're seriously struggling. Gives lots of amazing tips and does lots of review for tests and essentially tells you whats on the test

I absolutely LOVED Prof. Menig. His grading criteria is extremely clear, so if you do what he asks you will get an A. He is very personable and caring. This is a challenging course, but all foreign language courses are. You will need to study to do well on the tests. I would 100% recommend him. You can tell he is passionate about the language.

His summer course was like a breeze. The homework is partially graded. He's been a great, very laid-back professor. He answers emails and provides extra material. About 2 to 4 assignments are due weekly, depending on test days. It's a language class, so put in some effort, and you'll pass!

I took Spanish 2 online at Valencia. I had a great experience! Prof Menig is caring, super organized, and very clear about expectations (I messaged him often with questions and he was quick to respond). It's a 4 credit class so be prepared to work, but if you actually study the practice quizzes and resources he provides, you'll be fine! Got a 99.12
