This guy is nuts, he expects his students to know the material he is supposed to teach before he teaches it. He covers material that is not in the book and tests on material that he does cover. If he is your teacher then I advise having a tutor as your best friend.

Teaches way too abstractly. Little or no solid examples. Tests on theory of math as opposed to actual application. Asks questions in a very unclear and purely cryptic manner. Although he did buy us pizza before the final, thats doesnt make up for his class.

I stayed in the class for a total of one day. He told us Don't expect me to teach you that is what the book is for! I answered a question and he laughed and said are you serious? He insulted the whole class. When I switched classes my advisor told me I was making the right decision by going to a different professor. So run away and fast!

His lectures do not make any sense. I recieved a "A" in the class because I spent every hour of everyday studying for his class. You must write everything he says and the problems in the textbook help for tests. The tests are in his handwriting so they are difficult to figure out. Otherwise, it was a relief to be done his class.

By FAR the worst teacher i've ever had. I was always pretty good when it came to math, but this was just ridiculous. You're expected to do about 2 hours every other night working in a 'math journal'. In other words, you teach yourself. Drop him IMMEDIATELY.

Ok, i was in this dudes class for like an hour and after that one hour i dropped it. He doesnt let you use a calculator. Its a math class you should use calculators. This Mathmatica thing is stupid. You have to learn it on your own pretty much. He was all over the place and he can barely right clearly. Assigned seating was stupid as well.

It got to the point where we didnt ask questions because he would think of something that had nothing to do with what we were learning and just go with it. In the end, 25 people were there at the first class of the year, 10 at the final, and 9 who got a C and didnt have to take it again!

He seems to be one of those extremely smart people that just cannot relate to the rest of the world. I am doing pretty well in the class so far but it is BRUTAL. He is very hard to understand and the things he writes on the board are very disorganized. The assigned readings in the text have not a lot to do with topics discussed in class.

I cannot begin to tell you how much you will REGRET TAKING THIS MAN. My class started out with 35 people or so, ended with 13, and probably at least half of those people failed the class. He is not understandable, doesn't teach you HOW to do the math and won't answer questions. He is quoted as saying "It's not my job to teach you."

joseph moser is by far the worst professor that i have ever taken. he is completely oblivious to the fact that his students can't keep up with his work. his curriculum is way too difficult for a breif calculus course, he's socially awkward and has sent me away on several different occasions when i approached him with a question. Worst professor I have EVER had. He doesn't teach anything out of the book or pertaining to the book. He teaches his own version of math that makes absolutely no sense. Also, I went to him for help a few times. Each time, the only thing he had to say is "You should get this yourself" and walk out of the room. STAY AWAY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD.

Could this possibly be the same joe moser i had in 1975? If so, he was by far the worst teacher i had in 23 years of education. He passed 5 of 55 students. I learned nothing, which cost me dearly when i took later science courses. I almost flunked out of grad school because i was so bad in quantum mechanics. I tell my kids, now in college about him

Hands down the worst teacher ive ever had. Math 103 is so easy but he made it so difficult i had to drop the class. Makes up his own symbols and words and puts them on the test. Cant teach the material to yourself because he uses his stuff on the tests. Basically like a grammar and writing class with nothing to do with normal math. Horrible.

Mr. Moser is the worst professor I have had to date and trust me, I have had some awful teachers. He's a very soft spoken man so if you sit in the back you wont hear a thing. He also has a knack for going off of topic many times and teaches things that aren't in the textbook. Speaking of which, you can forget about him teaching, YOUR BOOK IS LIFE

Run like hell. He sometimes makes up problems and work on them for 15 mins + and come to find that there is no answer, so he then will spend another 15 mins trying to figure out a way to make it work which will confuse the hell out of you. My friends ended up re-teaching me the material for the final and it turns out math 103 is supposed to be easy
