He really just writes what is in the book on the board, all you need to do is read the examples in the book and you will not need to pay attention in class. His homework is due in packets the following monday so you can actually slack off and do it sunday night. ok teacher not super hard but very boring.
worst stats teacher ever. All he does is write the book out on the board. He's boring. He waits to assign the homework at the end of class so everyone stays. He's unclear alot of the time, he makes alot of mistakes as his students correct him. do not take him!
He is no help, very rigid,no sense of humor, will not go out of his way to help you.Has no personality. He just wants you to understand the work and if not he is no help. His tests are hard and he doesnt care if you pass or fail.He does make a lot of mistakes, often late. Keeps you in class till very end and barely gives a break!HE SUCKS BIG TIME!
buy both the solution manual and the book,it will help you get the hw. he assigns a fair number of hw problems. his tests are short (12 problems, gives lots of time to complete tests), show as much work as you can on tests so he can give you partial credit. concepts are easy once you get them. he gives you credit for hw just for doing it. easy B.
Very UNhelpful. Doesn't explain anything clearly or logically. Very boring. Keeps you in class for every minute he possibly can. Class average was 69%. I had to fight him twice to give me a note to retake the class after failing it. Late all the time. Teaches by copying the book down on the board. Pathetic! If you plan on learning, don't take him.
He doesn't even grade homework. He gives us a huge load of homework everyday (50-80 problems each day) and grades 1 even numbered problem. He gives a bunch of odd and even numbered problems. We can only check ourselves with the odd numbers. The rest, we have no idea EVER if we do anything right. How do we learn from mistakes? Horrible teacher.
the subject itself is easy; high school math if you ask me. easy class, do the homework and study for the quizzes and tests. sometimes he lets you use your notes during tests which is VERY helpful. a lot of the quizzes and homework problems are on the tests. easy A/B!
Does not explain the concepts clearly. Expects students to already know the topic being taught. No patience. Often late. Keeps students until the very last minute. Does not keep class in control. Uses subversive tactics to get rid of students with attendance issues. Tests are beyond hw. not user-friendly at all. Avoid if at all possible.
WARNING!!! This professor doesn't make any sense.
Worst teacher ever! I struggled really hard this semester and he wasn't any help. He doesn't give any study guides for the tests and for the final breezes through some old finals so fast you can't even write the problems down to study. The first test average was 69%! I barely got a B in this class! DON'T TAKE HIM!!!
Easy, Easy, Easy
He doesn't understand students questions so he can't answer them correctly. He is easily frustrated and mean.
TOOK THIS CLASS IN HIGH SCHOOL AND PASSED WITH AN A BUT BOMBED PLACEMENT TEST. LOL anyways this guy doesnt teach you anything. he just reads from the book and writes it on the board. his home work problems dont even compare to the difficulty of the ones on his test. HE KICKS STUDENTS OUT FOR HELPING EACH OTHER OUT. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GUY AT ALL.
Very unorganized, often late. Some tests introduce new material that was not taught in class or assigned in homework. He tests and grades way too hard for the amount of preparation that he provides you with. Even if you are naturally good at math, you will struggle for an A. Don't take him.
not very receptive to student concerns, late everyday
Great teacher! you work for your grade but overall his lectures were clear and his expectations of the class are clear. I failed this class in high school and took it again for kicks and I came out loving trig! Ninh is strict as far as talking but learn to raise your hand to ask questions instead of asking a neighbor.
He's really not a hard teacher. Do the homework and ask questions if you don't understand something (he'll keep going over things until you understand). Some of the test/ quiz problems are directly from the homework. The people that are leaving bad reviews sound like whiners that don't do their homework or just copy it from each other.
Whoever left the review on 11/10/09, I have to agree. Despite what all the other reviews say, he tries his best to make sure you really understand the material. My one complaint happens to go along with that - he'll spend the entire class period doing one problem just to make sure we get it. However, because of things like this, we're way behind.
I took Pre-calculus class with him for the fall 2009 semester, and it was great! His quizzes are so easy, and if you attend class everyday and do well with those quizzes. His tests were like mid-hard, but just like many people are saying here, if you do the homework problems, you will do fine. If you as a question, he can most-surely answer it. The
Avoid this professor if you can! The examples he uses on the board are easy but his tests are pretty hard! He is definately NOT an easy grader!
I can describe Ninh's class in this way: If I had one hour to live on earth, I would spend the last hour in his class because it seems to last forever.
Professor Ninh explains concepts extremely well and can help you understand basically anything subject-related. On the downside, he does too many examples of easy material and falls behind schedule. Nice guy, but Tests are difficult!
He maybe boring but he tries his best to help people out. He doesn't mind staying after class to help students out even though it might take more than an hour. Attend to the class everyday, do your hw and ask everything you don't know then you get an A. i learned a lot from him
he is very hard to understand, he kicks people out for handing there neighber there paper, he thinks we all know and love mathmatics as much as he does. in general he is a messed up teacher.;
Very misleading teacher. He will reasure you that if you do your homework you will pass. WRONG. Class average was less then 40%. Doesnt know how to reach his students, or even help them understand the work. If math is not your thing, I suggest you stay far away from him and find a better teacher.
Mr.Ninh is a really helpful teacher! I can see why the people who rated him as a poor teacher...and sadly...that's because they are either **** or slackers!! He always offers help and kindly repeats steps (if needed). You should definitely take his class!
Mr. Ninh is the best math teacher I have ever had. I got 100% on every single quiz and got an A on every test. He makes it very easy to understand. He doesn't require a book during class you just need it for homework. The most homework he gave per section was 20 problems.
What? There has to be two Joseph Ninhs at this school or something. This guy is an amazing professor. Very clear lectures, and always available for help if you don't understand something (hardly anybody needed extra help, though). Very fair amount of homework, 10 minutes to 1 1/2 hours per night. Wish he taught higher level math.
AMAZING TEACHER!!,take him,do the assignments,trust him,ask him if u have questions,u'll get the A!
I thought he was a very good professor. I ended up with a B because I took another class in the Summer along with Math and was working full time, so I had to split the studying time. With a little more time, definitely would get an A. I would recommend him as a professor. His test are really based from the HW and the lecture problems.
Math has never been my best subject. Hired a tutor thats an assistant stats teacher at Long Beach State and studied non stop. He knew it was my last class before transfering showed him proof from the college I was accepted to and everything. Went into final with a high D and he still didnt pass me. Do not take this guy, his teaching sucks!!
I took Pre-Calculus over summer, and I really did not enjoy this class. I absolutely love math but Ninh was not very good at teaching, and he is a very hard grader. He took points off for everything so it was hard to do well on a test. There was hw every day but he collected it before every test. There was a quiz every week. The class is doable.
He's an average teacher, which is why there are so many varied comments about him. he's really not that bad of a teacher, but you do have to put forth a little bit of extra effort to understand exactly what he's trying to say. When you get used to his personality and his accent, he's not a bad teacher.
You must work hard if you want to do well on his tests, especially in precalc. Homework is worth points and attendance is mandatory. Very precise about what he wants you to do. Very intelligent guy, but his tests are killer.
Do Not take any math courses with Mr. Ninh ... He is very unorganized and hard to understand ! His grade the tests very unfairly ! taking his class was a big mistake !
amazing professor! passionate about math! goes step by step for each math problem, able to work with you after class. too bad we couldn't learn more b/c we had horrible annoying immature classmates! he's a fair professor. all the other comments were probably trouble-makers. if you have questions, always ASK!
A helpful and good teacher. This is my first Math class after I left school for more than 20 years, and I managed to keep up and get an A.Quit complaining, do your work, ask for help and you will do well:)
He's not helpful. I aked couple questions but he didn't help. Actually, the lectures are easy but homework, quizs, and exams are different than his lectures. So you have to work hard to understand and solve the problems. I recommand somebody else...He is not so great...He is just ok prof.
I took him regardless of the comments, highly regret it.
I wouldn't recommend taking him..he offers to do hw questions but when you ask him a question he tells you how to do rather than showing you how to do it on the board..also doesn't give homework back before the test..and tests are A LOT harder than the homework...he also makes a lot of mistakes while teaching, students usually have to correct him.
Worst teach I have every had. I'm an A student, have only gotten one B, and I got a D in this class. He just puts up examples and expects you to learn from his examples, he doesn't actually teach anything. I had to teach myself everything from the book. His tests are fill in, no multiple choice, and he doesn't give half credit. Don't take his class
Prof. Ninh is an alright professor. There are definitely better professors, but he's an okay guy. Tests were or moderate difficulty, but you have to teach yourself everything. I put in A LOT of studying, and only ended up with a C. One test killed me, there is very little room for error with this guy. Would not recommend.
Im currently taking his summer class. Its fast paced and although this Is a repeat course for me he actually takes the time out to make sure everyone understands each section before moving on. HW is a must in order to expect a good grade. He is very lenient on curving the tests if needed. I highly recommend taking him.
He's ok professor. Pretty straight forward. Almost questions are similar to HW. There're some tricky questions, but as long as you understand the material, you'll get an A.
He's alright. Basic college teacher. His accent is present but not too confusing. It's understandable.
I would take him again.
He lectures for the full time allotted and always assigns homework. He tells you what will be on the test but he does grade fairly hard. Expects you to completely simplify answers which can be difficult at times. He answers all questions and generally seems pretty excited to teach calculus O_o Don't skip lecture or you will have to teach yourself
He stood at the front of the class and read off the names of students he would be dropping because they missed more than 3 class sessions. It was awkward and unnecessary. Why would you go out of your way to humiliate them? He's condescending to people who ask questions and just generally unpleasant as a teacher. I wouldn't recommend him.
Ninh is a great math professor. He answers students' questions in detail, takes time to go over homework questions, and his lectures are clear and concise. He assigns a lot of hw but it is necessary to understand the material. He tells you what is exactly on the tests. He can be a tough grader- you have to show all the work carefully.
Dont believe what the others say. This is a good professor. He really cares about his students and teaching, however he is a tough grader. If you do the homework he assigns, you'll be fine on the tests. Would definitely take again.
Professor Ninh class isn't really hard. In order to pass the exams do your homework, because the exams are based on the homework. Obviously, people don't pass the exams because they don't practice or do the homework. Anyone could really pass, it's just the matter of putting the effort. Clearly the people who made bad comments of him didn't study.
Ninh is nice. 3 quiz, 3 exams and 1 final. You need to know, that other professors need quiz every week, and exam every 2 week. I believe other students who give him bad feedbacks cuz they don't do homework but expect an A.
His test is based on homework + problems he went over in the lecture. He start the class with helping students with hw questions, and he answers questions step by step. However if students ask a lot of hw problems, then it delays the lecture, which leads to more class time than usual Quiz+test are really easy if you know what you are doing
the best math professor on the earth, reasonable questions same level of his teaching not like others who they give exams higher than his teaching level at Irvine valley college
I thought I can get an A at the beginning, but a B. The reason is that: first, he is a tough grader. second: the text of the final is different to 3 exams. I mean he use his own words to test you on the final. But cuz I'm not a native and he is not a native either, so it is hard to understand his question. Continue..
Continue When you are taking a final exam, but strange sentences that you didn't read before. Definetely, you will be nervous right? Not only me, but my friend who took his 3B. Before final exam :B After final exam: C So be cautious, especially 3B students.
he deserves more credit and praise than he actually gets, so great teacher and great man too. enough said.
Inspiring, encouraging, and most important of all. AMAZING!
Extremely intelligent and helpful. I definitely recommend taking him. Give you homework so you can earn small amounts of points. Quizes and tests based on homework so make sure you're in class to understand the lesson and do the homework so you know how to do it.
He is such a great professor
It's obvious Ninh doesn't care much about teaching. Grading and assignments on the fly. Unusually harsh grader who slams students for otherwise trivial errors. Concept isn't important to Ninh. Don't get me wrong, you're likely going to do well provided you teach yourself. Don't expect extra instructions or insight. Random curve and grading criteria
Very good teacher. Lectures are clear and organized, does not rush through examples. Homework and quizzes so your grade is not dependent solely on tests. Tests are on the harder side but if you study and do all the homework you'll be able to handle it.
He truly enjoy teaching. I took 3 A and 3 B with him, both B. You will think he is easy if you only take 3 A with him, but when you are turning to 3 B with him, he will not tell you what kind of questions will be on the exam. Be careful.
No one in class will talk except him. He is the only one visibly excited about the material. He does go over examples, but do not expect good teaching. He will be clearly annoyed if you ask questions similar to ones he went over. Question "yeah, it is basically the same as homework question, you should know". Can you teach yourself? If not, don't
No lecture, No good teaching, no sense of humor except he's the one always getting excited of his class, never appreciates participations, I have always been passionate about math untill I took him although I knew wouldn't make a good teacher since he's the last one left always, I still took his class and made a huge mistake.
Professor Ninh is a great professor. Although his class is straight lecture, he does teach very well. He takes his time teaching us and makes sure we understand the material. He is a little akward but that's a big thing i like about him, it's a funny awkward. FYI: NO PHONES or he will kick you out. Overall he is a great teacher.
It's Calculus, so if you expect to get an easy A, it's not happening unless you're naturally gifted. Ninh's class isn't that hard though; he's clear during lecture, helps with homework problems, takes his time to explain difficult concepts, and assigns homework that tests are based on. He's a nice professor that's good at teaching. Take him for 3A.
I've taken calculus more times than I'd like to share but this is the first time the material has made semi-sense to me. Ninh is great; he explains the concepts well and his tests/quizzes are heavily based on class notes & HW. Make sure you are coming in with a strong trig/algebra foundation; this is crucial to the whole course. Be ready to WORK.
One of the better math professors I have had. If you really want to learn the subject and truly understand the material, Ninh will help extensively in this. His tests are not the easiest questions and unless Calculus comes very easy to you, doing the homework questions to get all the variants is a good idea. Partial credit is tough to get.
Probably one of the worst professors I've taken at IVC. Super picky in grading, doesn't respond to messages. Lectures dragged on and he wasted time going over unnecessary details. Assigns a ton of homework. Only good thing about his class is that he drops your lowest quiz and exam scores. I would avoid taking him if you can.
Even though he kicked me out of class once because I was cracking awesome jokes with my friend, professor Ninh is not that bad of a teacher. I love Calculus and he taught it well. He provides more than enough information for the Exams. He takes the time to go over homework. The poor rates are students who probably shouldn't be majoring in Math.
The worst teacher I have ever had. Explains things alright but when it comes to the test he is impossible. Definitely hated walking into class every class. I cannot express enough the dislike for him and his dry personality makes it soul-crushing. plus he will take the entire class to explain chapters. Waste of my time and money.. Avoid if you can.
The class was pretty hard but that's expected with almost any math class. Professor Ninh is a very hard grader but is very detailed in his lectures. He does not really seem to care about growing relationships with student, but just teaching you what needs to be taught. Not that big of a personality, I would take it if you take mathematics seriously
His exams and quizzes are directly to his lecture notes. He never put a question that he didn't talk about in lecture. However there are lots of homework to do. In fact if you finish all his homework, all test questions are included. You don't need to review other problems.
He is really bad. his second exam is the hardest. only 5 people have an A in the class, the rest is C and below. He does not believe in partial credit. do not take him. he will surprise you with something you have not seen in hw or notes on quizzes and tests.
He is one of the best math professors. Exams are really similar to the homework he assigned to you. if you understand the exercises and solve the problem the way he teaches, you'll get an A easily.
Less than half the class was passing his class. He assigns a lot of homework and claims that the test is based on that homework but the tests and quiz questions are a lot harder. If you fail one test it's very likely that you will not do well in the class. He takes very long on examples in class and we ended up two weeks behind schedule.
I like Professor Ninh because he is very energetic (keeps your attention!) and it is easy to tell he has a passion for math. At the beginning of class, he would take time to go over homework problems assigned from the previous day. His tests consisted of 4/5? quizzes and 3 exams. He would also take time to review concepts the day before each exam.
I took his class last spring semester, and I believe that he is a nice professor. He tries to answer every question during his class, and most of his quiz and exam questions are based on his homework. If you want to get an A, and if you can spend some time on his homework, it will be not that hard to achieve it in his class.
Professor Ninh is a very caring professor. He takes the time to explain any questions you could have and details everything out meticulously. His tests and quizzes are curved if the class doesn't do well. Our exams were curved 0%, 5%, and 7%. The final exam was cumulative and very challenging. All other quizzes and exams were really straightforward
He assigns a good amount of homework so be ready for that. His lectures consist of vocab and examples. The examples are pretty clear. You will only pass the class if you have a good precalc background or else be ready to put in the work because you wont pass even if you do the homework.
Great professor. His lectures are easy to understand and the problems on the test are very similar to the ones on the lecture and homework. Tests are curved and one lowest quiz is dropped. Review lecture notes and homework problems and you will do fine.
Professor Ninh is the best. This was my second time taking his class. I had him for 3A too. His lectures are really easy. He takes something so complicated and breaks it down clearly so you can absorb everything and you don't have to go home and teach yourself. Exam questions are based on the examples in class so study those and you're set.
Calculus in general is very hard and if you expect an easy A, youre not going to get it. You need to put in the work and have a STRONG pre calc background. Prof Ninh is a fairly hard teacher but you need to spend a lot of time on homework and pay attention in class. The final was impossible. Tests are 45% of the grade (3 tests). YOU NEEED TO STUDY
Professor Ninh is not a good math instructor he doesnt know how to explain the material thats why you will get bored in his class, dont recommend him If you have any other option.
Tons of Homework. Makes you come to class to get homework questions but you can get them from a friend in the class. Lectures are long and kind of boring but thats Precalc for you.
Professor Ninh is great at teaching and will help you whenever you need it. I took his summer class which was relatively fast-paced but it is very doable. As long as you do the homework you should do well on the tests.
Hard class. Good Professor. Hard Tests. WebAssign Homework(Free Points). 3Midterms, 1 Final, no Quiz. NO or Little Accent. Live Lecture and Recorded. No Curve. No Extra Credit. Tough/fine Grader. Helpful in Class, not much reachable in Email. No Proctorio Test.
I got an A in his MATH3A class so I decided to take him again. Lectures are mandatory and he takes up the full 2 hours. A lot of homework and his tests can be difficult but if you do the homework right after lecture and don't procrastinate you will be fine. The exam problems are problems he goes over during lecture. Overall a good prof!
One of the worst online professors I've ever had. Took no accommodations for the sudden shift to online learning. Has office hours but the one time I attended he did not explain anything clearly at all and I left more confused than when I joined. Very tough grader, he requires your to show every line of work clearly.
If you do well on the homework you have absolutely no shot of doing well if you don't do well on the exams. He doesn't offer office hours at alternate times if it conflicts with another class and gets upset when you want to ask questions. Beware the final is much longer than exams and no extra time is given even though you have like two more pages.
WORST math class Ive ever experienced. He gives TONS of homework and takes points off on your exam for having slightly messy hand writing. I got every question right on one of his exams but still got a 78% for how messy I showed my work (and it was readable, trust me). Im decent at math, but am struggling to get a B in his class.
Literally the worst class ever
I have a big list of complaints with this professor. I was forced to switch into his class due IVCs HORRIBLE planning for switching to online for the fall semester. He took an entire 10 days to respond back to me in order to switch, and when I did he expected me to finish all of the INSANE anount of homework and learn the content in a ONE week
- He gives lots of homework (WebAssign and you have to show your work) - Another classmate and I had to transfer to his class because of IVC's horrible scheduling, and he ignored us for ten days. - His policies regarding a diligent student's final grades is quite flawed. - Attendance is irritating. TL;DR: DON'T TAKE HIM. HE IS STRESSFUL.
Calc 2 is hard, it has lots of tedious problems/easy to make mistakes. Must memorize trig identities/derivatives/antiderivatives. If not memorized you will struggle to finish exams on time. It will take a lot of practice and time. He only put questions on the exams that we went over in class or hw which I appreciate, he also gives partial credit.
He does the bare minimum, which isn't nearly enough. All he does is read the material exactly from the textbook and then assigns absurd amounts of hw that MUST be handwritten and turned in in person. His tests are worth almost all of your grade and he gets irritated and rude when you ask basic questions, and he is unhelpful. Never take his class.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!! Do not listen to the good reviews. His lectures are extremely slow and we often have to skip lessons which still end up on the tests. Almost all of the learning needs to be done outside of class. I only passed by a miracle. An A is possible only if you are God.
Many of these reviews make him sound worse than he is. If you go to class and take notes, you'll easily get at least a B. Tests are based on HW questions, don't procrastinate, and go to office hours for questions. He knows how to teach well and gives many examples for every concept. He is kind, passionate about math, and wants to see you do good!
This class was great. I feel he covered everything so quickly. His notes and lectures are so clear and he assigns a lot of homework but it will leave you ready for the test. Very effective professor for a difficult course.
Don't take this class , waste of time and super strict just don't take this class with this professor at all.
I would not recommend this professor to anyone. The beginning of the semester everything was going well. Unfortunately though, i had two grandparents pass away and it was disappointing that despite my genuine need for extension for test/assignments, it was overlooked by this professor. I felt so let down and discouraged by this.
Strict teacher but the lectures are good, and if you take notes during the lecture and do your hw you will be fine. He does catch you if you try to skip a few questions in the hw and will mark you down so be ready for that but honestly all in all he is an OK teacher. He loves his job and is always smiling during class which is nice to be around.
Nitpicky, unforgiving, unaccommodating, tests are graded too harshly for how he teaches.
There will be some questions on the test that are not included in the homework.
I have taken 3 math classes now with Professor Ninh. Trigonometry, Pre-Calc, and now Calc 1. Professor Ninh is a great teacher. Take thorough notes, give a solid attempt to every homework question, and if you get stuck make sure to ask for help. He gives every tool for students to succeed in class, but you need to put in the work and ask questions.
Never take him during summer. I retook this class and got an A with Terry Cheng. He gives a lot of homework and is not lenient with grading. Very stressful and uncaring, I wouldn't recommend unless you're very smart and studious.
The professor has high expectations, but if you stay engaged and utilize resources like the textbook and Unstuck study, you can succeed. Attend class, do the homework, and you'll likely get at least a B.
Prof. Ninh does not explain in class. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS. Take super descriptive notes. He goes over insane amount of material and only a few things will be on the exam. He literally has OCD when it comes to grading too btw he will mark you off if it is not in the most specific way that he wants it. I would avoid him if you can.
I would never take a class with this professor again! He was very stern and strict with grading and had problems on our exams that I had never seen before! Lamp or Valdez teaches much clearer and straightforward on their exams (I got As in their class). Never take a summer course with him; it will be absolutely tragic.
Please save yourselves and don't take a class with this guy. Notice how nearly everyone doesn't have an A in the review section... My 4.0 GPA was ruined after taking his class.
Worst teacher I have ever had. Grading was inordinately stringent. He constantly failed to answer questions without referencing back to memorized axioms (insinuates that he does not understand the fundamentals himself). Excessive amounts of homework wrt exam expectations.
This was the worst professor I've had. Expectations were unclear from the start, and everyone was confused. For our first exam, we were told we could show work on a separate sheet. I did, but the professor lost it and gave me a failing grade, claiming I showed no work.
I regret every decision that led me to be sitting here right now.
I regret ever taking a class from this professor. Gives so much homework, and the lectures are not even useful for the homework. He gives absolutely no help when you ask questions. His lectures are also super hard to follow. Please, if you are thinking of taking a course from him, save yourself and go find some other professor.
In order to be excelling at math, I have to somewhat know the material beforehand the lecture & assess what it would be about to understand it conceptually. However, when it comes to the exam, the test is significantly harder and since there are 3 midterms, not doing good for just one will make it difficult to get an A. Not recommended at all.
Worst teacher ever. Can't teach, only be sarcastic if student did bad, very picky on how you write the equation and formats. Does exam right before thanksgiving. It give curve of either 5 point or 1/5 point per question missed, but it's barely anything since the stuff on the test is the stuff he never teach.
3 exam 1 final, homework barely give any points, but hurt a lot. Taking this class need you to eat trig and log as 1+1 and able to learn everything by yourself. His lecture is useless, suck at explaining. Whatever's on the homework just expect aleast 5 times as hard as that.
Lots of homework with respect to exams. Lectures were hard to follow sometimes, and he would constantly cite the same buzz words or give very little explanation if asked a question. He expects a lot of time commitment outside of class to even pass the class. Save yourself the stress and gpa, do not take him, there are better options.
Ninh was bad. Doesnt walk you through most problems and gets annoyed if you ask him questions. If you end up with him youre not completely ruined but just lock in two weeks before the exam and youll be fine. VERY generous rounder though. Do not recommend if there are other options available
What is everyone talking about? Professor Ninh is an amazing professor. During his lectures, he breaks down complex topics into digestible pieces. Yes, he might give a lot of homework, but it really prepares you for the exams. He'll even ask you if you need help with it. He might not openly show it, but he cares about you and wants you to succeed.
